HDFC Life HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a 6.1% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹327.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The total income of the life insurer jumped nearly 90% to ₹16,426.03 crore, it said in a stock-exchange filing. The shares of HDFC Life ended 2% higher on Monday. MRPL and ONGC Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals will buy 49% stake in ONGC for ₹ 1,220 crore. Also, ONGC has issued non-convertible debentures worth ₹1,140 crore on a private placement basis. The shares of MRPL ended 2% higher on Monday, whereas ONGC gained over 3%. ACC The cement maker ACC reported a 20.25% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹363.85 crore for the third quarter ended September 30. The company follows the January-December financial year. However, the profit grew by five-fold compared to the sequentially quarter amid easing of lockdown restrictions. The revenue during the quarter also fell 11.4% to ₹5,306.2 crore. Tata Communications Tata Communications posted an around seven-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹384.81 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The company’s consolidated revenue grew 4.5% to ₹4,477.18 crore during the quarter, the company said in a BSE filing. The shares of Tata Communications ended 5% higher on Friday. Jet Airways Cash-strapped Jet Airways on Saturday approved the resolution plan submitted by London-based Kalrock Capital and UAE-based businessmen Murari Lal Jalan to acquire the airline. Tata Motors Tata Motors-owned subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a 12% dip in sales in the second quarter ended September 30. Future Consumer Future Capital Investment, the promoter of Future Consumer, invoked pledge of 18 lakh shares from September 14-16. The shares of Future Consumer ended 4% lower on Monday. Infibeam Avenues and RIL The digital payments, e-commerce software company Infibeam Avenues has entered into a definitive agreement with Jio Platforms and its affiliates. Escorts The automaker Escorts has completed the acquisition of 2 crore equity shares of KAI from KBT, constituting 40% of the share capital of KAI for an aggregate value of ₹90 crore. So far there are 10 candidates confirmed, although Home Secretary Priti Patel has yet to say whether she is running, and has accrued at least 13 supporters without declaring.Candidates can spend £300,000 this year, double the spending limit in the 2019 contest, and equivalent to the spending limit for three Parliamentary by-elections.That only covers funds spent after the formal beginning of the campaign, which will be good news for those with flashy videos released (and possibly re-released) last week. Teams don't have to declare for a month after receiving the donation. Kranthi Bathini, equity strategist at Mumbai-based WealthMills Securities, expects “some more profit booking in the next few days." According to Lahoti, the company has a strong business model, experienced management and has done a great job gaining the market share in the industry from the last few years. "But currently the stock is a bit over valued," he told Business Insider. According to both the analysts, it is not the "right time" to enter into the stocks at these valuations. It is better to wait for a correction if someone wants to take a position. "I can say if the stock corrects 20-30% more from here, then investors can start buying it. If you have it in your portfolio you book profit in half of the stock and half they should wait," Lahoti said. Angel Broking says Mrs Bector's stock is ‘reasonably’ valued now Mrs Bector's shares opened in the green today but investors' anxiety over the upcoming earnings pushed the stock back into the red soon after. According to Lahoti, the stock has corrected nearly 30% and is now available at a reasonable valuation. "Mrs. Bector Food Specialities are one of the leading companies in the premium and mid-premium biscuits segment and the premium bakery segment in North India. We think the company should be able to grow in line with the industry managed by the promoters having more than 25 years of sector knowledge. We advise investors to buy Mrs Bectors," he said.
