Facebook said it has partnered with leading <keyword id="42771" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="regional">regional</keyword> and global partners to build two new subsea cables -- <keyword id="88275" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Echo">Echo</keyword> and <keyword id="3690795" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="bifrost">Bifrost</keyword> -- that will provide vital new connections between the Asia-Pacific region and North America. While Google is only investing in Echo, Facebook is investing in both cables. These cables will increase overall transpacific capacity by 70 per cent, Facebook said this week, adding that the social networking platform is "committed to bringing more people online to a faster Internet." While these projects are still subject to regulatory approvals, when completed, these cables are expected deliver much-needed Internet capacity, redundancy, and reliability. The announcements come at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has increased the need for reliable Internet access. Echo and Bifrost will support further growth for hundreds of millions of people and millions of businesses, Facebook said. "Echo will run from Eureka, California to Singapore, with a stop-over in Guam, with plans to also land in Indonesia. In the comics, <a href="https://www.marvel.com/characters/hercules-heracles">Hercules</a> is a demigod (born from Zeus and Alcmena) who is ageless and possesses superhuman strength. The weapon most often associated with him is the Golden Mace, which is made from an indestructible material known as adamantine. Hercules is frenemies with Thor in the comics and has been part of superhero groups, like the Avengers, at various points. But incorporating characters like Zeus and Hercules into "Love and Thunder" gives a vague hint and where the MCU is headed.So far, movies and shows in phase four of the MCU haven't shared one overarching concept that ties them together (aside from the multiverse, in several cases). He was killed by Thanos (Josh Brolin), in front of Thor, at the beginning of the 2018 movie "Avengers: Infinity War.""I see you're dead now. Thank you for looking after my son," he tells Jane, referring to his son named Astrid (who prefers Axl) that was introduced in "Thor 4.""You are very welcome here to the land of the gods," Heimdall says, gesturing to the land behind him. Jane's use of the hammer, Mjolnir, empowered her and turned her into a superhero known as Mighty Thor. But it also affected her ability to fight stage 4 cancer by drawing from her human strength. While there are probably stories that could be told about Jane's experience in Valhalla (like her interactions with Heimdall, Odin, and others who fought valiantly), it seems unlikely that her journey in the MCU would continue. Jane telling Thor, "Keep your heart open. I love you," before dying seemed like her way of wrapping up their story and encouraging the God of Thunder to move on. If the end-credits scene is the last we'll see of Portman's character, it seems like a noble conclusion. This is depressing because for decades, the Bavarian motoring giant has proven again and again that the whole "ultimate driving machine" thing was utterly, totally, completely legit. BMWs are unquestionably among the most thrilling cars a human can drive and have been for ages. Blame the yuppified 1980s, when BMWs became status-mobiles. Then throw in some aggressive leasing deals that meant every new Hollywood agent or junior law partner could slip into a 3-Series.Thankfully, BMW's M Sport performance division doesn't care about young agents or tyro lawyers and continues to focus on taking cars such as the 2018 5-Series, a perfectly brilliant luxury sedan, and turning them into terrifying beast-machines designed to alter the movement of entire planets.You think that's an overstatement. OK, fine, but you didn't just spend a week driving around in a 2018 BMW M5.What is this car like? Remember that scene in "Avengers: Infinity War" when Thor arrived in Wakanda via bifrost express and slung his hefty new hammer, Stormbreaker, to devastating effect? BOOM! The M5 is about 1,000 times more exciting than that. And you can have the same one I did in your driveway for $130,000. Yep, that ain't cheap. But considered in terms of a cost-to-motoring-nirvana ratio, it's a magnificent bargain. Plus, you don't have to unleash hell with the M5 every time you start it up. The car can be dialed back to relative calm - calm enough, sort of, for daily commuting. True, you'll be buying a lot of premium fuel; the M5 gets 15 mpg city/21 highway/17 combined, adding a $1,000 gas-guzzler tax to the sticker price. But pleasure such as this car delivers cannot be entirely quantified.Let me go into greater detail about why the 2018 M5 is basically the baddest four-door in our realm:
