The deal value has not been revealed. With this acquisition, InCred will enter the wealth-tech segment with the launch of InCred Money. It will be led by Orowealth’s co-founder <keyword id="14427300" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="vijay-kuppa" source="Orion">Vijay Kuppa</keyword>. InCred has two other businesses – InCred Finance, a new-age non-banking finance corporation (NBFC) focused on lending, and InCred Capital, an institutional, wealth and asset management platform. “In the next decade, the democratization of investment opportunities covering the mass affluent and retail segments will be driven by digital platforms that unlock access to non-traditional assets for investors as well as their advisors,” said <keyword id="117981" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="bhupinder-singh" source="Orion">Bhupinder Singh</keyword>, founder and group CEO of InCred Group. The acquisition of Orowealth adds over ₹1,100 crore to the assets under management (AUM) of the InCred Group – which itself has an AUM of ₹15,000 crore (before the acquisition). The company also said it has a team of over 100 private bankers and caters to the high networth and ultra-high networth segments. Orowealth’s acquisition now allows it to cater to the retail and mass-affluent space. “With the launch of the InCred Money platform, we are committed to offering best-in-class products to these rapidly evolving customer segments in keeping with our vision to meet the financial needs of every Indian family,” Singh added. InCred Money will be targeted at customers, and also serve as a platform for other businesses which want to serve customers. As far as the platform services are concerned, InCred Money plans to integrate a network of Independent Financial Advisors (IFA) across the country. “There is a growing demand for non-traditional investment assets from mass affluent and retail investors due to rising income levels and greater awareness. We are addressing this massive demand by putting together a suite of carefully curated products and solutions,” said Vijay Kuppa, co-founder, Orowealth and now the CEO of InCred Money. Orowealth offered users options to invest in bonds, mutual funds, peer-to-peer loans, invoice discounting, fractional real estate and more. Bhupinder Singh Hooda wins – forging an unbreakable bond with his Garhi Sampla constituency

<ul><li>BJP has bagged 40 seats to Congress' 31 of the total 90 seats in the state, according to the Election Commission. </li><li>Congress led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda has swept central parts like Jhajjhar, Badli, Garhi Sampla, Beri, Israna and others in the region.</li><li>BJP has 36.5% and Congress has 28.1% vote share so far, according to the Election Commission data.</li><li>Dushyant Chautala whose JJP is a splinter party from the INLD may become the kingmaker.</li></ul>The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the single largest party in Haryana with in 40 seats compared to Congress which has 31, according to the Election Commission. However, the BJP and its allies led by Manohar Lal Khattar have fallen short of the majority. The midway mark is at 45 and the winning side needs at least 46 to form the government. Embarrassingly for hte BJP, seven of its state cabinet ministers have lost their own seats. "I thank the people of Haryana for blessing us. We will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the state’s progress. I laud the efforts of hardworking @BJP4Haryana Karyakartas who toiled extensively and went among the people to elaborate on our development agenda," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. On the other hand, Congress has gained hugely in vote share compared to the last assembly elections and is leading in 28 seats so far. Congress had 28.1% vote share in Haryana, according to data from Election Commission. However, there is one from India Today-Axis that has predicted a hung assembly in the state, leaving room for some anxiety in all camps. The BJP had won 47 seats in the 2014 Haryana assembly election, Congress won 15 seats, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 19 seats, while others won 9 seats. Factors at play in 2019 The assembly elections this year took place five months after the BJP’s clean sweep in the Parliamentary polls, just like in 2014. However, this year, there was less excitement on the voting day. The turnout fell to 65%, down from 76.54% in the previous election. In the general elections earlier this year, the BJP was able to garner a clear majority even in the state with 34% of the votes and 70% of the seats. The government in Haryana has largely mirrored the one at the Centre, either by electing the same party or an ally in the state. Going by that trend, BJP had an upper hand. However, the larger economic slowdown in the country has had a major impact on Haryana's voter sentiment. The state is one of India's largest automobile hubs and accounts for two thirds of passenger cars, 50% of tractors and 60% of motorcycles manufactured in the country, according to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF). The infamous slowdown in car sales has led to large-scale job losses in Haryana. Districts such as Panipat, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Sonipat are home to many textile businesses, particularly, readymade cotton garments, which is one of the major exports of Haryana. The sector is dire straits due to loss of competitive edge to other countries in the region and that too, has hurt the livelihood of many people. The agrarian distress, also widespread in the country, has also shown its impact in the state. Still, the state economy has grown at a compounded annual growth rate of 12.67% over the last seven years and has led to much prosperity in many parts. This is in part due to the explosion of IT and IT-enabled services in the state, especially in the city of Gurgaon. The political balance Politically, the state’s votes were divided into Jats and Punjabi — the two dominant social segments. Over the last few years, the Punjabis have preferred the BJP. Which is why BJP got a large chunk of its seats from Punjabi-dominated areas Chandigarh, Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Panipat — pretty much the entire route from Delhi to Chandigarh except Sonepat. However, the BJP has managed to consolidate the upper castes in the state into a significant vote bank which has benefited the party hugely in diluting the dominance of the Jats. 30% of the state population is from the lowest rung of the Indian society, the Dalits. They are not known to be BJP backers but as seen in the 2019 Parliamentary elections, some of the traditional caste calculus tend to break in the absence of a credible opposition. Since his election, Chief Minister Khattar has seen many controversies including an agitation by Jats demanding the benefits of the ‘Other Backward Class’, protests by many thousands of supporters of a self-styled Godman, Baba Rahim, and small-scale riots on the streets over a movie that was later released under the title of Padmavat, to name a few. Yet, a series of family feuds and corruption charges have kept opposition leaders busy firefighting most of the time and less prepared for the electoral battle. Add to that, Narendra Modi’s charm that worked wonders in the recently concluded general elections and since then, some emotive issues like the suspension of Article 370 that gave the state of Jammu and Kashmir a ‘special’ status have been largely well received by the people of the state. The opposition particularly the Congress made some gains but it wasn't enough to capitalise on BJP's lapses. BJP has the most number of seats in Haryana⁠— but the blush is not that of triumph

IAS officer <keyword id="124047" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ashok-Khemka">Ashok Khemka</keyword>, who came into limelight over the controversial DLF-Robert Vadra Deal, has said that two pages from the files pertaining to the deal are missing. He also demanded registration of an FIR in this case. This came to light after an RTI filed by him revealed that two pages from the files related to the controversial deal are missing. 
 
Chief Secretary PK Gupta accepted that the pages are indeed missing. He also said that an inquiry has been ordered and officials are trying to “reconstruct the file.” 
 "The file noting is a very important piece of record which would establish that the three members were specifically appointed to an illegally constituted Committee by the then political executive, where the only remedy to an aggrieved party was to file a writ petition in High Court, with the pre-determined objective to accord clean chit to black-marketing of colony license by M/s Skylight Hospitality, a company belonging to <keyword id="12593" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Robert-Vadra">Robert Vadra</keyword>, and to discredit my action of cancelling the land mutation from M/s Skylight Hospitality to M/s <keyword id="6362997" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="DLF">DLF</keyword>," Khemka alleged in a letter written to the Haryana’s chief secretary. 
 
The chief secretary said, "This is a fact that one page of the file is missing, which is two numbers - 1 and 2. I have seen this filed on Friday itself and this page is missing. For this we are instituting an inquiry...if somebody is guilty, we will take action." 
 
"We are trying to reconstruct the file because I think it was six-seven months back somebody asked for information under RTI, somebody other than Khemka. He had asked for information and that information was given to him...We are approaching the Information Commissioner's office to see if a copy of that is available with that office," he said. 
 
"This is serious, now there can be no scrutiny of the matter as to how Krishna Mohan, KK Jalan and Rajan Gupta became members, what were the terms of reference and what occasioned the constitution of the committee when the parties were not aggrieved against my orders and the only remedy against the order was to approach the High Court," Khemka wrote. 
 The previous <keyword id="117981" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bhupinder-Singh">Bhupinder Singh</keyword> Hooda-led <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword> government in Haryana had set up a committee to look into the controversial deal after Khemka cancelled mutation of the land deal. IAS officers Krishna Mohan, KK Jalan and Rajan Gupta were part of the committee. Krishna Mohan has now retired.

DLF-Vadra Land Deal: Foul Play Suspected As Two Pages From Deal Files Reported Missing

In the first Assembly election after the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year, Maharashtra and Haryana go for polls on October 15. The stakes are high for all the political parties involved; <keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword>, <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword>, <keyword id="42402" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="NCP">NCP</keyword>, <keyword id="6358821" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shiv-Sena">Shiv Sena</keyword>, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Indian National Lok Dal (<keyword id="49114" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="INLD">INLD</keyword>). However, these elections are particularly important for the BJP, which had suffered successive defeats in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar by-polls. The by-polls defeat came in as a blow for the party that stormed to power, at the Centre, single-handedly only a couple of months back. 
 
Will BJP be able to regain its lost glory in these elections? Or would other local parties steal the show? Only time would tell. We tried to take a dig. 
 
These elections would be the first major test for the five-month old Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre. Following a bitter divorce with Shiv Sena, its oldest ally, the BJP would be determined to prove that it’s the senior partner in Maharashtra. If it manages to win about 90 seats, it would justify its push for equal share in seats with Shiv Sena. If this happens, then it would be interesting to see if Shiv Sena, once a very dominant force in the state, would be ready to play second fiddle to the ex-alliance partner, BJP. 
 
The current state of affairs in Haryana also seems interesting. On one hand, the corruption allegations (like Robert Vadra-DLF deal) and anti-incumbency against the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government are giving the ruling party the pre-poll jitters. On the other hand, it is increasing BJP’s chances of coming to power in Haryana; after all, the party won seven out of 10 Lok Sabha seats. 
 
After suffering a humiliating defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress is eager to salvage its pride. And these elections will prove to be their litmus test. Although the break-up between the BJP and Shiv Sena has left the Maharashtra contest wide open, the Congress is on a sticky wicket due to anti-incumbency and various scams. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), former ally of the Congress, will be looking to prove that it has a stronger foothold in the state than the Congress. 
 
Shiv Sena, fighting the first election after its founder Bal Thackeray’s demise, will encash on the sympathy factor to salvage its pride and justify its persistence for more seats by winning more seats than the BJP. 
 In Haryana, <keyword id="87769" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Om-Prakash-Chautala">Om Prakash Chautala</keyword> of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), who was granted bail on medical grounds, re-energised the party’s election campaign by taking undue advantage of his bail and campaigned for the party. His rallies drew massive crowds as Jats of Haryana are die-hard supporters of the Chautala family. Also, INLD is likely to get some sympathy votes due to Chautala’s imprisonment. However, one can’t be sure if the crowd and sympathy would translate into votes. 
 
As of now, the Assembly elections present an interesting political slugfest that even political pundits and psephologists are finding it difficult to reckon which way the political wind would blow.

Maharashtra, Haryana Assembly Polls: Political Breakups Leave Everyone Guessing

The <keyword id="40807" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Election-Commission">Election Commission</keyword> (<keyword id="6360997" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="EC">EC</keyword>) has said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana had not violated the model code of conduct by clearing the land deal between Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law <keyword id="12593" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Robert-Vadra">Robert Vadra</keyword> and <keyword id="6362997" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="DLF">DLF</keyword>. 
 
Responding to the BJP’s complaint, the EC replied, “There does not seem to be any violation of the model code of conduct by the government of Haryana in the matter after the coming into force of the model code of conduct from September 12.” 
 
The EC said it had examined the allegations of violation of the model code of conduct and asked for reports from the concerned state departments. “However, in case you have any further or additional information in this regard, you may furnish the same to the commission,” it said. 
 
The report submitted by the financial commissioner, Town and Country Planning Department, said, “The decision on the request for renewal and transfer of licence in favour of DLF Ltd is pending in the department since October 2012 for want of clarification regarding the issue of ownership. The department has sought this clarification from the Director General, Consolidation of Land Holdings and Land Records, which is yet to be received and hence the request for transfer and renewal of licence is pending in the department on which no action has been taken since then.” 
 
“It is clarified that neither any allegation about any action taken by the Town and Country Planning Department has been made in the news reports, nor any action on the subject... has been taken in the Town &amp; Country Planning Department, either during the period of model code of conduct or before imposition of such code,” the report added.

NEW DELHI: In what might mark nervousness in <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword> ranks over the <keyword id="56" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Party">party</keyword>’s poll prospects, shipping minister GK Vasan on Tuesday ruled himself out of the <keyword id="6355187" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Lok-Sabha">Lok Sabha</keyword> contest. 
 Vasan’s declaration comes in the wake of reports that I&amp;B minister <keyword id="119952" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Manish-Tewari">Manish Tewari</keyword> does not want to take the field in Punjab though sources said his reluctance stems from personal reasons. Tewari’s name has not figured among sitting Punjab MPs declared in the first list of 194 candidates on Saturday, triggering speculation whether he will be the Congress candidate from his constituency of Ludhiana. 
 It was suggested that Tewari was keen on a shift to Chandigarh, but former <keyword id="18658" type="POSITION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Railway-Minister">railway minister</keyword> <keyword id="145307" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Pawan-Bansal">Pawan Bansal</keyword> remains in the running for the seat despite the controversy surrounding an alleged case of bribery for a high-level railway appointment. 
 
 The scene in Ludhiana has become complicated with the entry of prominent activist HS Phoolka on an <keyword id="6354944" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Aam-Aadmi-Party">Aam Aadmi Party</keyword> ticket and the threat of SAD-BJP throwing a lot of resources into the challenge. 
 
The reluctance on the part of key Congress leaders to face the battle reinforces the impression that 2014 is a tough test for the ruling camp facing serious anti-incumbency. Opinion polls too are pointing to a sharply dipping graph. 
 Vasan is a known Congress face from <keyword id="20154" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="tamil-nadu">Tamil Nadu</keyword> — son of the late stalwart GK Moopanar — but his chickening out is seen in conjunction with the party’s failure to attract any allies like DMK in the elections. Congress is staring down the barrel without the support of either of the Dravidian parties as also no truck with minor caste outfits like DMDK that inhabit the Tamil political space.

As the <keyword id="19895371" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Congress" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Congress" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Congress">Congress</keyword> appeared set to wrest five Lok Sabha seats from the ruling BJP in Haryana, Hooda said that he had been saying "there is a wave blowing in favour of the Congress". "You asked me about exit polls predicting most seats to the BJP, to which I said wait for the actual poll results on June 4," the Congress veteran said. Haryana is known for "jai jawan, jai kisan, jai pehalwan". "But what did they (BJP) do. They brought Agniveer (Agnipath scheme), which faced opposition from the youth. They did not redress farmers' issues. And everyone knows the treatment that was meted to our wrestler daughters, who had to protest (at Delhi's Jantar Mantar)," he said. Hooda said that unemployment increased in the state during the BJP rule while the law and order situation also deteriorated. He claimed that the Congress' performance in the <keyword id="19912155" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lok-Sabha-polls" source="keywords">Lok Sabha polls</keyword> in the state will have an impact on the Vidhan Sabha elections, which are due in October. "This is clear indication that people of Haryana have made up their mind to bring the Congress to power in the Assembly polls," Hooda claimed. Referring to the Lok Sabha polls, Hooda said people have supported the Congress. The Congress leader said that he had been maintaining that BJP will be "wiped out in south, halved in north" "Look at Haryana and Rajasthan...People have given us good support," he added. On the BJP's claims that NDA will win 400 seats this time, Hooda said, "I had been saying that it was a mere slogan. In Haryana too, in the 2019 Assembly polls, the BJP had given slogan of 'Abki baar 75 paar' (claiming to win 75 of the 90 seats). Everyone knows how many seats they later won. (BJP had won 40 seats)." Hooda said that he had maintained that it will be a direct fight between the Congress and BJP in Haryana in the Lok Sabha polls. "I had been repeatedly saying that it is going to be a direct fight between the Congress and BJP. And that has been proved," said Hooda. "The people have rejected the 'vote katu' (vote cutters) outfits," he added referring to the JJP and INLD. Going by the trends available late afternoon, the Congress appeared on course to win Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak, Sirsa and Sonipat seats. The grand old party had contested nine of the ten Lok Sabha seats leaving the Kurukshetra seat to its INDIA bloc ally AAP. AAP's Sushil Gupta, was, however, behind BJP's Naveen Jindal from the seat.
