As per the source, "The first song of 'Bhansali Music', 'Sakal Ban' which also marks the first song of Bhansali's 'Heeramandi' will be launched on a global platform of Miss World. Sanjay Leela Bhansali to launch Heeramandi's first song on Miss World stage

Mumbai, It was great to reunite with Sanjay Leela <keyword id="20322039" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bhansali" source="keywords">Bhansali</keyword> after a gap of 25 years, actor Manisha Koirala said on Thursday as Netflix India unveiled the character posters of the filmmaker's ambitious web series "<keyword id="19983826" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="heeramandi" source="keywords">Heeramandi</keyword>: The Diamond Bazaar". Bhansali, known for lavishly mounted feature films such as "Ram-Leela", "Bajirao Mastani" and "Padmaavat", is set to make his long-format debut with Netflix's "Heermandi". Koirala, who plays Mallikajaan in the upcoming eight-part period drama set during the freedom struggle movement in India, worked with Bhansali in his feature directorial debut "Khamoshi: The Musical" (1996). At the Next on Netflix India event, the actor said "Heeramandi" has turned out well and the team is "dying to show it" to fans. "We all have tried to do our best because we were working with a master. To be working with Sanjay 25 years after his first film, 'Khamoshi', it can't get better than 'Heeramandi'. "It's been a humongous journey, I've seen him grow as an artist, as a maestro, as a genius, he is India's best, he is the greatest filmmaker in India. We are lucky to be working, sweating and trying to perfect our act," Koirala said at the event. Billed as a visual odyssey, "Heeramandi" brings together a powerhouse of talent and a magnificent world promising to immerse audiences in a tale of power, love and freedom set against the backdrop of pre-independent India. Chadha said anyone can create beautiful costumes but only Bhansali can make an actor take eight rounds, sit and aesthetically drop a tear from the left of one's eye while wearing a lehenga worth 30 kg. The actor, who previously worked with in the 2013 film "Ram-Leela", plays Lajjo in "Heeramandi". "An actor is hungry to grow, and he will push you. I met Rani Mukerji the other day and (she) said 'Till you work with Sanjay Leela Bhasali, you don't know your own potential," she said. The makers of "Heeramandi" also released the character posters of Hydari as Bibbojaan, Shaikh as Waheeda, Sinha as Fareedan and Segal as Alamzeb. Bhansali was not present at the event. Working with Bhansali has been a wonderful dream, said Hydari. They earlier collaborated on 2018's "Padmaavat". "When we shoot a film, we get a certain amount of time to be with a director. When you shoot a show, you get that much more time. Some look at the look, beauty, but what I find incredible about the experience is the fact his soul goes into everything he does. "He eats, lives, and breathes his characters. There's so much passion. I'm grateful that the challenges that he throws at you, there's so much love, and pride, pushing you to do your best. I'm grateful for that experience and I hope I get it multiple times. I love him," she added. Shaikh said she is honoured to work with Bhansali on "Heeramandi". "I also had a dream (to work with Bhansali) and it has come true today. Everyone wants to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It's a big deal for me to be one of his leading ladies," she said. Segal, also Bhansali's niece, said as an artist, it's a privilege to work with the director. "Working with Sanjay sir on a series is a different ball game as an actor. It's not just one movie, (working on a series) it's like doing eight films. I've assisted sir on 'Bajirao Mastani', which was a movie, and watching him adapt to the format of the series, was a privilege." Sinha said she loved collaborating with Manisha and she learned a lot from the actor. "Manisha is such a wonderful person. The body of work that she has behind her, the work that she has done and the films of hers that we have seen. She is so respected, stunning, beautiful, elegant, just wow. "But keeping that aside, when I worked with her, I realised, she is a beautiful person, just the way she conducts herself on set. Watching her and being with her in the same frame was such a pleasure. I hope I can do it soon. It was an honour working with her," she said. Prerna Singh, CEO Bhansali Productions, said they have a great show in their hands. "Working with Sanjay sir is life altering... I can't even describe it... Great to reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 25 years: Manisha Koirala

Its PAT for Q4 stood at Rs 372 million, which was a 151% growth compared to the same quarter last year.</li><li>Over the years, the company has transitioned from being a music label to today creating IPs in the form of music, films and TV series, along with manufacturing and innovating on its portable music player, <keyword id="4504073" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="carvaan">Carvaan</keyword>.</li><li><keyword id="160511" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vikram-Mehra">Vikram Mehra</keyword>, Managing Director, Saregama India tells us how the company has managed to stay relevant even after being in existence for close to 120 years, and all that it is doing to make sure it stays relevant for the next few decades too.</li></ul>Four years ago, Saregama realized a need gap in the 40+ age group when it came to consuming music. People who wanted to listen to retro music were not able to access them easily. Many missed the good old days of Radio. That was the insight that gave birth to Carvaan, Saregama’s popular portable retro music player. Since then, Saregama has kept innovating on not just Carvaan but also on its other offerings. The company which started as a music label company in 1902 has today gone much beyond that. Today, its portfolio includes intellectual property rights of over 4000 hours of TV content produced for channels in languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali. Over the last few decades, the company has forayed into retailing music through physical and digital mediums. The company now also has a film production unit, Yoodlee Films and it is this diversification of its offering that has helped it not just weather the storm of 2020, but also be ready for the future. In its recently released results, the company said that its Profit after Tax (PAT) for Q4 stood at Rs 372 million, which was a 151% growth compared to the same quarter last year. Its <keyword id="1159047" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Music-Licensing">music licensing</keyword> revenue in FY21 went up by 20%. While it has been a difficult year for many businesses, Saregama’s efforts at expanding its portfolio over the last few years is now paying off. “The biggest transition that has happened for Saregama is that from an old-world company that used to be the custodian of music, we are today a new-age company, which is riding on the digital wave, in India and globally. Proliferation of smartphones and cheap data has led to a huge increase in the consumption of content and digital is pushing this explosion. And as Saregama, we are now sitting at the heart of all the action, be it with our music, our films or TV series,” said Vikram Mehra, MD, Saregama India. Right now, the company is primarily focusing on two things, the creation of IPs, be it as music, films or TV series, and monetizing them. The second is to create a platform on the back of Carvaan to talk to the 35+ age group. While the original Carvaan was aimed at an older age group, the company is now innovating to make it attractive to a younger audience too. Last year, it had launched a Karaoke variant to appeal to the 35+ age group. Its Carvaan 2.0 version, which comes with thousands of pre-loaded songs, also supports podcasts now. On how it has been able to stay relevant, despite being an almost 120-year-old company, Mehra said, “How you think as a company makes a lot of difference. In recent times, the average age of the company has gone down steeply. We are getting younger people on board who understand the new world better and asking them to guide us.” The company is also working on the acquisition of new content aggressively. It recently announced that it has acquired the music of a series of big-ticket movies which include <keyword id="6358308" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sanjay-Leela-Bhansali">Sanjay Leela Bhansali</keyword>’s upcoming movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi along with his next movie, Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan. Saregama has also acquired the rights of the yet unnamed official adaptation of the cult blockbuster, Anniyan, which will be directed by Shankar and will feature actor Ranveer Singh. Last year, Saregama also struck licensing deals with Facebook, Spotify and Triller. Its music is now also available on various short video platforms like Moj and Josh where people can use them to create their content. Saregama is also heavily investing on regional music. “Saregama is one of the oldest music labels in the country and we have relationships in every music and film market in the country. Because of our legacy, we are harnessing those relationships and entering into Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi music. Our aim is to create enough content so that the kids of today who are going to consume content will keep on listening to this content for another 50 years,” he explained. Last year, the lockdown also meant people were stuck at home. So while the sale of Carvaan, which is a product people want to experience before buying, saw a hit, its kids variant Carvaan Mini Kids saw impressive growth. “This is a product we have never marketed and yet it is the fastest selling Mini for us,” he added. Overall, Carvaan sold 1,10,000 units in Q4 FY21, despite retail sale having been massively impacted by the pandemic. With the addition of a podcast feature on Carvaan 2.0, Mehra is confident of the monetization opportunities it opens up for them. “For us, till now, Carvaan was a one-time margin product, similar to say a refrigerator that you sell once and make money out of it and that’s it. Now with podcasts coming in, it creates a huge opportunity for us as a platform to start generating advertising or subscription revenue,” he explained. Mehra is also not stuck on getting Carvaan-only exclusive podcasts. “Our model is a little different. As a company, we are telling podcasters to bring their podcasts to us on a non-exclusive basis. And if ever we make revenue off of it, we plan to share 40% of it with the content partner,” he added. If things go as planned, Saregama plans to start monetizing its podcasts in the next 2-3 years.

Just a few hours from now and a brand new 2014 will be upon us with cheering, partying and celebrations taking place all over the world. Also, a <keyword id="271279" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bareilly-court">Bareilly court</keyword> has directed today to lodge a case against the <keyword id="303" type="POSITION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Director">director</keyword> and the star cast of Ram-Leela, following a petition that it glorified <keyword id="6355987" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="violence">violence</keyword> and <keyword id="109676" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Obscenity">obscenity</keyword>. And that could spell further trouble for the movie. 
 Earlier too, a PIL had been filed on the ground that the movie has humiliated the <keyword id="624" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Women">women</keyword> of the <keyword id="1485927" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Darbar-community">Darbar community</keyword> and hurt religious sentiments. 66th National Film Awards 2018 announced: Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal win "Best Actor" Award

5. Came 2014 and Shraddha was seen as Ayesha in another musical romantic thriller Ek Villain. Her role was that of a young girl who falls in love with a goon and transforms him into a family man, only to be killed by a psychopath killer. Her role in the movie was limited to a few flashback scenes other than some songs, given the fact that her character gets killed in the first 15 minutes. 
 
6. Towards the end of 2014, we saw the pretty lady doing a role in Haider, for ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. She portrayed the role of Arshiya, a young Kashmiri journalist in love with the main lead, played by Shahid Kapoor. Her performance and hard work in the movie to get into the skin of a Kashmiri girl were appreciated. 
 
7. She also did an item number, called Dance Basanti, in the movie Ungli.

It combines an easy way to pay someone back <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/why-the-venmo-newsfeed-is-the-best-social-network-nobodys-talking-about-2014-5" target="_blank">with a social network</a>, ultimately taking some of the awkwardness out of asking your friends for money. 
Co-founder Andrew Kortina wrote an essay about <a href="http://kortina.net/essays/origins-of-venmo/" target="_blank">the company's founding on his blog</a> to share with Venmo's latest intern class. 
The whole thing is worth a read, but here were the 13 most fascinating things that we learned from Venmo's orgin story:

<li>The company's two founders - Andrew Kortina and Iqram Magdon-Ismail - met as randomly paired freshman year roommates at the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. </li>
<li>Kortina started out as a computer science major but decided that he wanted to maximize his tuition costs by studying things that he would not get to do after college. He ended up majoring in creative writing and philosophy. </li>
<li>Korina and Magdon-Ismail started their first company together as seniors: A college classifieds site called My College Post. Although nothing came of it, the pair got an apartment in west Philadelphia post-graduation, freelancing in website design and working on startup projects like a website analytics tool called Swooge and a music site called Philafunk. </li>
<li>Throughout his career, Kortina says that there's one "no" that he regrets the most. It was from "this amazing Pakistani restaurant, Kabobeesh, that served a chicken kabob sandwich on fresh naan bread for $3.50: we tried to sell them a site for 100 chicken rolls, but failed to close them."</li>
<li>The duo worked for OMGPOP before it became the gaming company that made Draw Something. At this time, it was a site called iminlikewithyou that helped people flirt.</li>
<li>For several years, Kortina worked at Bit.ly and Magdon-Ismail worked at Ticketleap, but they both knew that they eventually wanted to team up again on some new idea.</li>
<li>In 2009, they decided to make it happen. They launched Venmo, a music startup that allowed people to send a text to a band to have an mp3 show up in their email.</li>
<li>The name Venmo comes from vendere, Latin for "to sell," and "mo" for mobile. Kortina says that picking a name wasn't a huge deal for the fledgling company. They just wanted something that was short, could be used as a verb, could be spelled intuitively (no startup cliches like switching c's and k's), and could be purchased on GoDaddy for cheap.</li>
<li>The fateful pivot occurred when Magdon-Ismail came to visit Kortina in New York City for the weekend but forgot his wallet. Kortina covered him, but they discovered that it was extremely cumbersome for Magdon-Ismail to pay him back with a check. Kortina never ended up cashing it, but the idea had sprouted.</li>
