The catch phrase of India’s diplomacy with China in the 1950’s was ‘Hindi-Chini bhai bhai,’ but it lost its essence soon after the Sino-Indian war in 1962. Today, the ongoing border issue with China has been creating strife in the <keyword id="388574" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Indo-China">Indo-China</keyword> relationship, but the aim to achieve high economic growth and regional cooperation has tied the two nations together. 
 The two countries are likely to enter into a landmark agreement in order to setup a stage for cooperation between India states and Chinese provinces during <keyword id="6354814" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="prime-minister-Narendra-Modi">Prime Minister Narendra Modi</keyword>'s upcoming China visit. This will help the countries to foster bilateral trade and investments, as revealed in an Economic Times report. 
 
Le Yucheng, China's Ambassador to India, told ET, "The two countries hope to agree to create a platform that will enhance cooperation between chief ministers of India and governors of Chinese provinces. This could be concluded during PM Modi's visit to China in May." 
This new plan that both the nations are likely to come up will be similar to the platforms that China has with the US and Russia to strengthen its relations. 
 
"States and provinces are engines of growth and this platform would increase bilateral trade and investments, and people-to-people contact," the envoy told ET. 
 
The two countries are likely to ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase the number of cities in the list of sister-city cooperation between India and China during Modi's maiden trip to China as PM, Le added. 
 During <keyword id="1604096" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Chinese-President-Xi-Jinping">Chinese President Xi Jinping</keyword>'s visit to India in 2014, India and China has signed a bilateral agreement to make the two metropolitan cities, <keyword id="6368000" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Shanghai">Shanghai</keyword> and Mumbai, as sister cities. Also during the same visit, the two nations also inked another agreement in Gujarat to make Ahmedabad, a sister city of <keyword id="106384" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Guangzhou">Guangzhou</keyword>, which is a leading commercial centre in China.

She applied tilak in the forehead of Krishna as a mark of celebrating his victory, garlanded him and performed arati. Krishna was highly pleased with his sister’s love and hence he blessed her with several boons. The second story is connected to Yama, the god of death who visited his sister Yamuna. Since Yama met his sister on the second day (Dwitiya) of the waxing phase of lunar month in the month of Kartika, the festival is also called as Yamadvitiya. Bhai Dooj puja procedure Sisters perform this puja seeking the welfare of their brother. Brothers visit their sisters on this day. Sisters invite them in a ritualistic way and apply tilak on their foreheads. Applying tilak and performing arati must be done during the right Muhurat to get the maximum benefits of the Bhai Dooj puja. Sisters also treat their brothers with a lot of sweets and delicious dishes. While visiting their sisters, brothers do carry a lot of gifts for their sisters and give their assurance to protect them and care for them during all times. In essence and spirit, the theme of Bhai Dooj resembles that of Raksha Bandhan. Call it irony but India’s famous Hindu festival of love '<keyword id="469225" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bhau-Beej">Bhau Beej</keyword>' also called '<keyword id="59958" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bhai-Dooj">Bhai Dooj</keyword>' has surprizingly coincided with Friday the 13th this year, what the West considers to be the most unlucky day of the year! 
 
Also known as Black Friday, it is more than just a date. It occurs when the 13th day of the month in the Gregorian (Christian) calendar falls on a Friday. The superstition around this day is thought to have come about during the middle ages. Some historians have claimed it was the day on which Eve bit the apple from the Tree of Knowledge. Others say Jesus was crucified on a Friday and ever since the day has been associated with general ill omen. Most years have just one or two Friday the 13ths. However interestingly, this year has seen three in total in the months of February, March and the last being today. 
 Today’s <keyword id="70509" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Friday-the-13th">Friday the 13th</keyword> is also the fifth and last day of festival of lights – <keyword id="188" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Diwali">Diwali</keyword> - which falls on a new moon night and is celebrated by Hindus across the world as ‘Bhai Dooj’. The occasion sees sisters ceremonize their love by putting an auspicious tilak or a vermilion mark on the forehead of their brothers and perform an aarti by showing him the light of the holy flame as a mark of love and protection from evil forces. 
 
It is believed that on this day, Lord Krishna went to his sister Subhadra after slaying the Narakasura demon, who welcomed him with a holy lamp, flowers and sweets and put the holy protective spot on his forehead. Yet another belief behind the origin of Bhai Dooj is that when Mahavir, the founder of Jainism, attained moksha, his brother King Nandivardhan was distressed because he missed him and was comforted by his sister Sudarshana. Since then, women have been revered during Bhai Dooj as it is called in Northern India, Bhai Pota in West Bengal, Bhai Tika in Nepal. 
 
Both the significant events are rooted in historical beliefs, the stark difference being while one is a joyous day for brothers and sisters in one part of the world, it’s a haunted day where everything is meant to go wrong for the other. Notably, yhe next February, March and November Friday the 13th year will occur 11 years later in 2026. The Board has initiated legal action and sent them to jail. Besides, a total of 34 students have also been booked for copying. Board secretary <keyword id="4814406" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="divyakant-shukla" source="Orion">Divyakant Shukla</keyword> said, "Maximum number of solvers, known as '<keyword id="6468448" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="munna-bhai" source="Orion">Munna Bhai</keyword>' in local parlance, have been caught in two districts of Ghazipur and Ballia, which accounts for around 50 per cent of the total number of impersonators caught till Wednesday. Eighteen <keyword id="947669" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="munna-bhais" source="Orion">Munna Bhais</keyword> have been caught and sent to jail in Ghazipur and 15 from Ballia." Five solvers have been nabbed in Agra and four each from Prayagraj and Azamgarh. Three impersonators each have been arrested from Pratapgrah and <keyword id="43253" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="gorakhpur" source="Orion">Gorakhpur</keyword>, two each from Jaunpur and Bhadohi. One each has been arrested from Firozabad, Mathura, Kasganj, Basti, Kushinagar, Ayodhya, Bulandshahr, Rampur and Balrampur. "The Board is updating and changing its strategy daily to conduct the exam in a fair manner," he said. The secretary said Friday (February 24) is an important day when English paper of class 12 would be held in the second shift in which over 23.5 lakh candidates will appear. In such a situation, the Board is working on a new strategy. Officers of the education department have been asked to conduct surprise inspections of the centres a day before the exam. Strongrooms will be checked and Board will keep an eye through CCTV camera.
