South Korean video game company <keyword id="10155974" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="krafton" source="Orion">Krafton</keyword> on Tuesday announced that Indian players will be able to qualify for the official esports programme of the <keyword id="84384" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="asian-games" source="Orion">Asian Games</keyword>, 2022, via <keyword id="11197652" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="battlegrounds-mobile-india" source="Orion">Battlegrounds Mobile India</keyword> (BGMI). This will allow Indian gamers the privilege and opportunity to compete at the event for medals. The games will run from September 10 to September 25, 2022, with competitors from across Asia competing for the medals. "BGMI's inclusion in the esports games bouquet exemplifies Krafton's commitment to developing esports ecosystem globally and in India. Krafton has been investing heavily in the development of Indian gaming, esports, and IT entertainment industries with the establishment of its Indian office," the company said in a statement. "The company invested a total of $70 million this year in the Indian IT sector including the leading Indian esports company Nodwin Gaming, the game streaming platform Loco and India's No.1 web novel platform Pratilipi," it added. The Asian Games is a multi-sport event that's held every four years, in which Asia's best athletes compete. The event is recognised by the International Olympic Committee as the second-largest event of its kind, behind only the Olympics. The Asian Games first paved the way for esports representation with its inclusion as a demonstration sport in 2018. In 2020 and now 2022, esports is part of the official programme and a medalled event. Battlegrounds Mobile India players can compete in the Asian Games 2022

South Korean game developer Krafton's popular game <keyword id="11197652" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="battlegrounds-mobile-india" source="Orion">Battlegrounds Mobile India</keyword> (<keyword id="11923507" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bgmi" source="Orion">BGMI</keyword>) on Tuesday announced a new partnership with game developer <keyword id="2850099" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="riot-games" source="Orion">Riot Games</keyword> to bring characters, items, as well as locations from its upcoming series Arcane into BGMI. The updates will begin releasing in Mid-November as part of its Version 1.7 update with an aim to give players unique new experiences in one of Riot's first partnerships to bring the world of League of Legends to more players worldwide. "In each game update, BGMI provides new, interesting, and engaging content to its players, through partnerships with key entertainment properties in movies and gaming as well as collaborations with musicians, celebrities and more," the firm said in a statement. This is the first partnership between BGMI and Riot Games and will also bring new game areas and gameplay modes inspired by Arcane to the world of BGMI. Meanwhile, Krafton on Monday announced that it has removed 25 lakh accounts in just over a month to eradicate cheating on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). "The company has cleaned out most of the cheaters in the game, making BGMI a much more fun experience, and will continue to take whatever step is necessary to keep BGMI fair and fun," the firm noted. Battlegrounds Mobile India partners with Riot Games for Arcane event

While not much has changed in terms of combat mechanics, the sensitivity and handling may require some getting used to. One of the major changes to the game includes the addition of trunks to vehicles.
