At that age, they could only be involved in the music and creativity side of things."Despite their youth, their aptitude for all-round musical development was clear. "The girls were keen to learn more about their craft. They worked with great songwriters, producers and choreographers, so they could quickly develop the skills involved," says Knowles.Decades later, Beyoncé still maintains a hands-on approach with her crew. "Beyoncé is very detail-oriented," Knowles says. B----, I'm back by popular demand."The "New Wil'ins" quote comes from the below video by&#xa0;Barré, whose videos as <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9VYk9vnMRUVpLOQw9hLUNA" target="_blank">Messy Mya</a> have hundreds of thousands of views.Barré is later heard in "Formation" saying, "Oh yeah, baby, oh yeah I, ohhhhh, oh, yes, I like that," from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsYOnx2xJuY" target="_blank">another video of his as Messy Mya</a>. The New York Times <a href="http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/22/marine-band-confirms-beyonce-inauguration-performance-was-pre-recorded/" target="_blank">reports that</a> Beyoncé recorded the song in a studio at the Marine Barracks Annex on Sunday night, using tracks already laid down by the Marine Band.
Except for this brief departure into a pre-recorded track, Dubois insists that the rest of the performance was live.
Yet the faux music was the cherry on top of an otherwise hollow performance all around. The president's own inauguration was, in effect, a 'lip sync,' since he was officially inaugurated in front of Chief Supreme Court Justice John Roberts <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/21/politics/obama-inauguration/index.html">days earlier</a>.
