As part of the initiative, Essence helps eligible charities apply for <keyword id="6355629" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> Ad Grants which provides up to US$10,000 per month of in-kind search advertising. <ul class="summary-list"><li>Dr. <keyword id="225564" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Anthony-Fauci">Anthony Fauci</keyword> on Monday told CNN he was "disturbed and concerned" that roughly 40,000 new cases of COVID-19 were being identified daily in the US.</li><li>Fauci also confirmed he had not been involved in treating President <keyword id="6354484" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Donald-Trump">Donald Trump</keyword> for COVID-19 and said the president's doctors were qualified to treat him.</li><li>During the interview, Fauci declined to comment on the president's controversial motorcade trip outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he is hospitalized. </li></ul><p>Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Monday that he was "disturbed and concerned" by the number of new COVID-19 cases diagnosed each day.</p><p>"I am certainly not pleased (or) satisfied, but I'm actually disturbed and concerned about the fact that our baseline of infections is still stuck at around 40,000 per day," <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/05/health/us-coronavirus-monday/index.html">Fauci told CNN</a>. "That's no place to be when you're trying to get your arms around an epidemic and get it to a very low baseline."</p><p>Fauci also said he was worried about the coming colder weather in the fall and winter, which will most likely draw people indoors rather than outdoors, presenting a heightened risk of viral transmission.</p><p>According to a tally from <a href="https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html">Johns Hopkins University</a>, more than 7.4 million people in the US have been infected by the <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="coronavirus">coronavirus</keyword>, and more than 209,000 have died. Globally, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/covid-coronavirus-killed-1-million-people-worldwide-2020-9">more than 1 million people have died from complications stemming from COVID-19</a>.</p><p>Fauci also confirmed Monday that he wasn't involved in treating President Donald Trump. Early on Friday, Trump tweeted that he and the first lady, Melania Trump, had tested positive for COVID-19. Later that day, he was <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-walter-reed-medical-center-hospital-covid-fever-cough-19-2020-10">transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland,</a> where he has been hospitalized. The first lady has remained at the White House.</p><p>"I have not been involved," Fauci told the CNN "New Day" anchor John Berman. "But again, I don't want to get into talking about the president's case, because that's not something that I've really been cleared to talk about. But personally, I have not been involved in the direct care of the president."</p><p>The nation's top coronavirus expert, however, said the doctors caring for Trump were qualified.</p><p>"My colleagues that I know, including <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-doctor-sean-conley-medical-training-history-qualifications-2020-10">Sean Conley</a>, are very good physicians and they're very qualified, so I am really confident that the president of the United States is getting the optimal care that you can get with the team over at Walter Reed," he said.</p><p>On Saturday, Conley, the White House physician, delivered a largely positive statement about Trump's condition, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/white-house-physician-dodges-questions-about-trumps-health-2020-10">skirting key questions about the president's health</a> and whether he required supplemental oxygen since he had fallen ill. Conley confirmed at a <keyword id="6355005" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="news">news</keyword> conference on Sunday <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-coronavirus-health-oxygen-level-remdesivir-dexamethasone-2020-10">that Trump had required supplemental oxygen during his treatment</a>.</p><p>The president also left his hospital suite at Walter Reed on Sunday to take a lap around the hospital in his motorcade to wave to supporters camped outside. The move <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-walter-reed-doctor-insanity-drive-by-secret-service-2020-10">elicited anger</a> from some, including from an attending physician at Water Reed, who said Trump unnecessarily exposed his Secret Service agents to the virus.</p><p>When asked about Trump's decision to leave the hospital while being treated for COVID-19, and whether the president should be partaking in more strict isolation, Fauci declined to comment.</p><p>"I don't want to really go there, John, and comment on that, OK?" Fauci said.</p>

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image"><p class="source"><span><a href="http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/william-bradford-bishop-jr/person_view_multimedia#images">FBI</a></span></p></div><p></p></div>While recently profiling <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/fbi-top-10-most-wanted-2014-4">America's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives</a>, we discovered the most recent addition is a former Foreign Service officer who allegedly murdered his entire family with no known motive before disappearing in 1976.</p>
<p>Nearly four decades ago, William Bradford Bishop, Jr. seemed an unlikely person to ever make the FBI's notorious top 10 list, but an April <a href="http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2014/april/william-bradford-bishop-added-to-fbi-top-ten-list">FBI press release</a> announces he now has that distinction. At the time of the gruesome murders, Bishop was serving as a State Department Foreign Service officer, a job that involved many travels abroad and knowledge of several foreign languages.</p>
<p>The then-39-year-old clean-cut husband and father had an American Studies degree from Yale University and a Master's Degree in Italian from Vermont's Middlebury College. A former intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, he lived on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. in Maryland with his wife and three sons, ages five, 10, and 14.</p>
<p>On March 1, 1976, Bishop told his colleagues he wasn't feeling well and left work early, stopping on the way home to purchase a hammer and gas can. At his Bethesda home, he allegedly bludgeoned his wife to death with the hammer, then allegedly did the same to his mother when she returned from walking the dog, <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/01/AR2006030102328.html">according to a description of events from The Washington Post</a>.</p>
<p>Then, Bishop used the hammer to kill his sleeping sons, authorities believe. That night, Bishop drove the bodies 275 miles to North Carolina, where he threw the bodies in a ditch and set them on fire.</p>
<p>Since then, very little is known about where Bishop went. He is known to have purchased sneakers at a  North Carolina sporting goods store the next day, and two weeks later his car was discovered at a campground near the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.</p>
<p>After that, the trail went cold. Acquaintances claim spotted Bishop in a Stockholm park in 1978, an Italy restroom in 1979, and at Switzerland train station in 1994.</p>
<p>Nowadays, investigators believe Bishop may be hiding in plain sight, and they hope Bishop's addition to the top 10 fugitives list will attract attention leading to a tip from someone who recognizes Bishop's face. Last year, authorities created a task force aimed at finally tracking Bishop down, led by the FBI, the Department of State, and the Maryland Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.</p>
<p>To help the public get an approximate idea of what Bishop may look like at age 77, a forensic artist has created age-enhanced images, along with the originals.</p>

<p>One explanation for Bishop's disappearance is that he is dead. But the FBI isn't relying on that possibility. Steve Vogt, an FBI special agent on the case, said extensive searches and interviews at the scene of Bishop's abandoned vehicle revealed no evidence of his death, or any trace of him for that matter.</p>
<p>Investigators have acknowledged that Bishop could be hiding overseas, given his Department of State experience traveling abroad and his ability to speak several foreign languages fluently. However, Vogt emphasizes that maintaining a fake identity abroad is difficult even for someone with Bishop's experience. He wants the public to be aware of the legitimate possibility that Bishop is hiding under a fake identity in the U.S., where he could blend in easier among other Americans.</p>
<p>"The reality is, he could be anywhere," Vogt said in the FBI's press release. "But we don't want people to assume that he's out of the country and overlook the fact that he might be living in their community. People might see someone who looks like him and think, 'It couldn't be him.' Well, it could be him. That's why we need the public's help."</p>
<p>To this day, there's no clear motive for the crime, though Bishop's failure to receive a promotion on the morning before his family's disappearance may have set him off. A State Department co-worker claimed Bishop voiced his dissatisfaction that a colleague received a promotion that should have gone to him, before the left early for the day, <a href="http://hwww.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Magazine/May-June-2013/Bradford-Bishop-Murders/index.php?cparticle=1&amp;siarticle=0#artanc">Bethesda Magazine</a> reported.</p>
<p>For some reason, Bishop didn't kill the family dog when he allegedly murdered the rest of his family, according to Bethesda Magazine. Eyewitnesses claim they saw him with a woman and a dog at the sporting goods store and a convenience store in the days immediately after the crime.</p>
<p>Bishop suffered from insomnia, was under psychiatric care, and took medication for depression, <a href="http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/william-bradford-bishop-jr">according to an FBI description of Bishop</a>. "Bishop was described as intense and self-absorbed, prone to violent outbursts, and preferred a neat and orderly environment," the description says.</p>

The owner of a North Carolina sporting goods store reported Bishop purchased tennis shoes there the next day with a woman around his age and a dog, believed to be the Bishop family dog.</p>
<p>Investigators don't believe Bishop has committed a crime before or since he allegedly murdered his family. His sudden act may have been a reaction to several pressures in his life. Vogt said Bishop, who loved traveling and solitude, may have felt tied down and sought an escape. Financial troubles plagued the family, and Bishop was refused a promotion around the time of the murder.</p>
<p>Investigators discovered a poem Bishop kept before the murders, in which he wrote often about wanting to become free and self-sufficient.</p>
<p>Bishop may have also felt troubled by a sense of inferiority that he tried to hide from others on the outside. He suffered from insomnia, was under psychiatric care, and took medication for depression, according to the FBI.</p>
<p>"He went down a path he wasn't comfortable with anymore, and his answer was to kill everyone and start over," Vogt said.</p>

That's where the trail went cold. Extensive searches by authorities and interviews have revealed no evidence of Bishop's death, or any trace of him for that matter.</p>
<p>"We have no information as to where this guy is, and he could be in Maryland, he could be in California, he could be anywhere," Vogt said. "He has never been sighted and people have called in and said they thought they saw him, but there have been no confirmed sightings since March 2, 1976 when he was in a sporting goods store in North Carolina."</p>
<p><strong>Most Wanted</strong></p>
<p>The FBI hopes Bishop's recent addition to the top 10 fugitives list will attract attention leading to a tip from someone who recognizes his face. "We need the public to look at this face and call us, because that's the only way we're going to catch him at this point," Vogt said.</p>
<p>Last year, authorities created a task force aimed at finally tracking Bishop down, led by the FBI, the Department of State, and the Maryland Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.</p>
<p>Investigators have only had the knowledge of Bishop's face and fingerprints to help them track him down. But he could have avoided capture all this time by assuming a fake identity and avoiding an arrest that would result in police checking his fingerprints.</p>
<p>After so many years of living under that false identity, neighbors and co-workers who possibly live among Bishop may have a hard time believing he isn't a normal guy. "The most dangerous time for him was March 2 1976, and every day he was out there got a little better for him because he built a prior history for himself," Vogt said.</p>
<p>Of course, Bishop could be hiding overseas, given his Department of State experience traveling abroad and his ability to speak several foreign languages fluently. However, Vogt emphasizes that maintaining a fake identity abroad is difficult even for someone with Bishop's experience. "You get overseas and it doesn't matter how many languages you speak," he said. "You're still an American. You stand out."</p>
<p>For that reason, Vogt believes it is very possible Bishop is hiding in the U.S. To help the public get an approximate idea of what Bishop may look like at age 77, a forensic artist has created age-enhanced images, along with the originals.</p>

<p>Vogt urges anyone who sees someone they think might be Bishop to give the FBI a call, despite any reservations they may have. "Don't think, 'Hey, it can't be him.' Just give us a call," he said.</p>
<p>He also emphasized that people should look out for certain traits that Bishop can't change as easily as his identity, such as his affinity for dogs, the outdoors, and motorcycles. "Bishop was described as intense and self-absorbed, prone to violent outbursts, and preferred a neat and orderly environment," <a href="http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/william-bradford-bishop-jr">states the FBI's description attached to Bishop's Most Wanted poster</a>.</p>
<p>Another tell-tale sign could be Bishop's reaction to learning that he is now on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. "He'll be acting a little strange since April 10 because there's a lot of pressure on him," Vogt said.</p>

<p><span>The  National Institutes of Health (NIH), a federal agency based in Bethesda, Md., </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">takes the <a href="http://www.aarp.org/work/on-the-job/info-06-2013/aarp-best-employers-winners-2013.html">top spot in a list of the </a></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"><a href="http://www.aarp.org/work/on-the-job/info-06-2013/aarp-best-employers-winners-2013.html">best 50 employers</a> for older workers published o</span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">n Monday </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">by the American Association of Retired Persons (<keyword id="244558" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="AARP">AARP</keyword>) and </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"><span>Jean Setzfand, AARP’s Vice President for Financial Security, says that employers should take advantage of <keyword id="98642" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Boomers">Boomers</keyword>' positive working traits, such as loyalty, </span></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">by offering programs that will attract and retain them.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">At NIH, workers are offered </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">flexible telecommuting programs, </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">a "Fit Plus Program," which is a health initiative aimed at older workers and two phased-retirement programs, which allow workers to choose to gradually transition to retirement by reducing hours or a trial-retirement program that allows retirees to return to work within one year of retiring in case they decide they aren't ready to leave the workforce.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">“My boss lets me telework one week a month from my home,” 63-year-old Philip Lenowitz, deputy director in the office of human resources at the National Institutes of Health, tells <a href="http://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-50-best-employers-for-boomer-workers-2013-06-17">Andrea Coombes at MarketWatch</a>. "That’s one of the things that keeps me here rather than retiring."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"></span></p>
<p>Nearly half (47%) of NIH workers are older than the age of 50.</p>

<p><span>A full 41% of this year's top employers for Boomers are hospitals, </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">health insurers or medical </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">research organizations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">“By the nature of their operations, hospitals and some other health care providers operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so it is a business necessity for them to offer flexible and compressed work schedules to their prospective and current employees," </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">Setzfand says.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">"These practices are appealing to older workers, and other industries should consider adopting them on a more widespread basis."</span></p>
