To start with, Meta will make it easy to activate AI directly from <keyword id="20062381" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="whatsapp-business" source="keywords">WhatsApp Business</keyword> app to enable businesses to engage more efficiently with their customers - it has recently started testing this in India, and says early results are exciting. <br /><br /> The US social media giant also announced customised messages on WhatsApp Business app, as it pledged commitment to supporting the growth of small businesses in India. <br /><br /> Meta said the line up of features and updates will help businesses across the country build a presence and create great in-chat experiences for customers while driving performance ahead of the upcoming festive season. <br /><br /> It also announced WhatsApp Bharat Yatra - an outreach to various tier 2 and 3 cities in India for offering on-ground, in-person training to small businesses. Now, <keyword id="20057935" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="meta-verified" source="keywords">Meta Verified</keyword> is available to all eligible small businesses in India using the WhatsApp Business app," according to a Meta release. <br /><br /> With Meta Verified, businesses that choose to subscribe and demonstrate their authenticity will receive a verified badge, impersonation protection, account support, and premium features that help amplify their brand online and make it more efficient to chat with customers. <br /><br /> The same badge will appear on their WhatsApp Channels and Business pages, making it easy to share on social media and websites. <br /><br /> Starting today in India, small businesses using the WhatsApp Business app will be able to send customised messages to their customers, say appointment reminders, birthday greetings or even updates on a holiday sale, more easily, and faster. <br /><br /> "This new feature, available for a fee, gives businesses the ability to send personal messages with a customer's name and customisable call-to-action buttons and will also enable them to schedule the day and time the messages are sent," the release said. <br /><br /> Meta also outlined best practices for businesses to build meaningful and valuable connections with people ahead of the busy festive season. <br /><br /> "People don't want their WhatsApp to become overloaded like other channels, making them miss out on important messages from people and businesses they care about and want to hear from. Singapore's A350-900ULR will add three business class seats but lose 36 premium economy seats to make room for first class. After all, when you have given your heart and soul to an organisation, it is never easy accepting the fact that you are being asked to leave at a moment’s notice. The situation becomes even more complicated when you have been with the company for more than a decade. <br /><br />Something similar happened with <keyword id="23300967" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nicholas-Whitaker" source="keywords">Nicholas Whitaker</keyword>, who had been working with the company since 2010 and found out about his <keyword id="20118388" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="layoff" source="keywords">layoff</keyword> abruptly. <br /><br /><h2>The 3 am email bringing bad news</h2>“My layoff experience was traumatic. I got an email at 3 am to my personal email, that I only found because a colleague pinged me on Linkedin in the DMs to ask if I was ‘Ok’ and if I was ‘safe’,” Whitaker told <keyword id="21390875" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Business-Insider-India" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Business Insider India" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Business Insider India">Business Insider India</keyword> in a conversation. <br /><br />He added that when his colleague enquired about his safety, he thought it was a “shooting or some natural disaster.” In other words, he didn’t even imagine that he was being laid off from Google.<br /><br />He then revealed that when he checked his work email, he discovered that he was locked out of his laptop and phone. He then checked his personal email and there it was, the “short and impersonal email” that told him that his role at Google was being eliminated.<br /><br /><h2>The layoff process was uncomfortable</h2>When Google announced large-scale layoffs last year, the company made a lot of headlines for handling them in an unprofessional manner. In March 2023, several Google employees had even written an open letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, asking him to deal with layoffs in a better manner. <br /><br />Whitaker, narrating his own experience, shared with Business Insider India that after receiving the dreadful layoff email at 3 am, he spent the next few months completing formalities to get his payments that were due.<br /><br />He said, “It took all of the next several months for me to mail back my laptop, badge and any gear that I had that was Google property. (I also had to) navigate unemployment, health insurance and get all of the documentation I had to submit to "self Offboard" and to receive payments that I was supposed to get.”<br /><br />“Along the way there were multiple errors and miscommunications from the team that made it all even more uncomfortable,” he said.<br /><br />Whitaker also noted a complete lack of communication and empathy from his old team at Google. <br /><br />“I got a single text message from my prior manager asking how I was doing a few days after I was laid off, but otherwise no one reached out to check on me or offer assistance from my old team. Overall I found the process to be brutally impersonal and inhumane,” he said.<br /><br /><h2>Experience at Google</h2>But was Google always “inhumane” in his experience? Not really. There were some amazing days too and Google, according to Whitaker, was a different company when he had joined.<br /><br />“My initial experience working at Google was like it was a completely different company. I started as a temp, contractor and then a vendor for Google back in 2010, and at the time I think it was something like 40,000 employees. It had a real startup feel to it. Teams were agile and collaborative, and there was a lot of room for growth. It may have been specific to my team and org, but it felt like you had a lot more room for experimentation and autonomy to make decisions, and failure wasn't seen as a bad thing, but a necessary part of innovation,” he said. <br /><br />Whitaker also said that a “class system” was there at Google, especially since he was a TVC (Temporary, Vendor and Contractor).<br /><br />“As a TVC you wouldn't be included in many of the activities and learning opportunities that full time employees had, and didn't get invited to extracurricular activities. There was a real bias towards culture at the time, and words like Don't be Evil, and be Googly were often used.”<br /><br />However, in general, he added that the atmosphere was positive and full of possibilities. “Colleagues generally were very supportive, collaborative and encouraging to work with. I was excited as this was my first time working in big tech, or Corporate America and I saw that period of time as a real coming of age for me. I learned how to be a professional at Google and appreciated all of the early guidance and support that I got from colleagues and leaders.”<br /><br /><h2>Helping others</h2>It has now been over a year since Whitaker was laid off. He now has his own venture and helps other people navigate their careers.<br /><br />Talking about what motivated him to kick-start his own venture, he said, “After 13 years in big tech, the last few years in particular being particularly difficult due to toxic teams and leaders, I didn't want to jump right back into that kind of experience again. A year before getting laid off, I had experienced a bad <keyword id="19956983" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mental-health" source="keywords">mental health</keyword> crisis that was the result of workplace bullying, gaslighting and toxic leadership. <br /><br />"I wanted to help others avoid and recover from similar situations and create a community where people can find mutual support and coaching on how to best navigate their careers in a conscious way. My severance after working so long at Google allowed me to fund the launch of my coaching business, and eventually ‘changingwork.org’."<br /><br /><keyword id="23300968" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Changing-Work" source="keywords">Changing Work</keyword>, Whitaker explained, is his way of addressing a deep need in corporate life — helping people rediscover their sense of purpose and alignment in their careers and finding ways to build more conscious leaders and businesses.<br /><br />He added, “What makes this so transformative for me personally is that it allowed me to step into a role where I could integrate all the lessons from my own career—especially the parts that were hardest for me. During my time at Google, I saw firsthand how high-pressure environments can lead to burnout, anxiety, and a disconnect from our true selves.”<br /><br />The recent tragic death of a young CA at Ernst &amp; Young (EY) employee in India has turned the spotlight on toxic work cultures prevalent in many high-pressure industries. Broader debates on burnout, mental health struggles, and unrealistic expectations in corporate environments in the workplace have occupied social media platforms. <ul class="summary-list"><li>I'm exited Singapore Airlines is adding doors to business class after flying the current seat.</li><li>Demand for door-equipped cabins is widespread, with many global airlines hopping on the trend.</li></ul><p>In early 2023, I <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/worlds-longest-flight-singapore-airlines-business-review-2023-1">flew Singapore Airlines on the world's longest flight</a> to experience what is considered a top-tier business class.</p><p>It was one of my first long-haul trips at the front of the plane, so I was easily impressed by the lie-flat bed, the amenity kit, business-class lounge access, and other <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/business-class-airlines-compared-best-worst-2023-9">posh perks of premium flying</a>.</p><p>One thing it lacked, however, was a sliding door. Instead, the seat had large privacy wings intended to cocoon travelers. At the time, I was less bothered by the lack of privacy and was just happy with the bed and gourmet food on the 18-hour journey.</p><div type="image" title="The two seats in the middle section can be separated with a divider." height="1500" width="2000" msid="115093804" hostid="261" sizebytes="139642"></div><p>Since then, I've flown in door-equipped <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/flying-ana-the-room-business-class-new-york-japan-review-2023-4">business class on Japan's All Nippon Airways</a> and British Airways. I've joined the club of people who prefer the coziness of a fully enclosed pod, which proved to be a night-and-day difference in privacy.</p><p>I could sleep and work without feeling like wandering eyes were looking over my shoulder. I was also less disturbed by the noise from the galleys and bathrooms, and I didn't have a neighbor's light annoyingly glaring into my space when the cabin was dark.</p><p>Although it has taken some eight years to announce a significant upgrade to its high-dollar seat, five-star <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/singapore-airlines-new-first-class-business-upgrades-privacy-door-trend-2024-11">Singapore is finally jumping on the door trend</a>.</p><p>The carrier announced plans in November to <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/singapore-airlines-new-first-class-business-upgrades-privacy-door-trend-2024-11">retrofit 41 Airbus A350 planes</a> with a new door-equipped business class. It will also be on Singapore's <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/boeing-777x-why-so-important-delays-future-airlines-2024-7">future Boeing 777X aircraft</a>. The first retrofitted plane is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026.</p><p>CEO Goh Choon Phong said in a press release that the change was a result of its customers' "evolving preferences and expectations."</p><p>It is too early to say what exactly Singapore has on deck for the new <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/flew-on-singapores-airbus-a380-premium-economy-one-flaw-review-2023-1">premium cabin</a>, but the single rendering mirrors the hotel-like suites found on All Nippon Airways and British Airways offer.</p><div type="image" title="Singapore new business class rending with sliding door." height="1080" width="1350" msid="115093810" hostid="261" sizebytes="59338"></div><p>Considering the door was the only feature included in the rendering, Singapore clearly wanted to emphasize its addition.</p><p>I hope Singapore will also retain its other favored business-class amenities, like the food, extra-wide seats, and plentiful storage, that make it <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-airlines-in-the-world-skytrax-survey-2024-6">one of the world's best airlines.</a></p><p>Regardless, the new and improved business class cabin will be a welcomed change for me and likely for other travelers who may have once pondered a <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/flying-business-class-qatar-airways-review-2024-9">competing airline for long-haul travel</a> simply for the more private experience.</p><p>Plus, the country is known for luxury, so having a business class to match will lure in more high-dollar elites and help Singapore better keep up in the highly-competitive market — especially after it lost out to five-star Qatar for Skytrax's world's best business class in 2024.</p><p>Air India launched its <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/air-india-business-class-a350-compared-to-777-legacy-2024-2">new pod-like business class</a> in January as it completely overhauls its brand.</p><div type="image" title="Air India's business class cabin suites." height="2906" width="3875" msid="115093812" hostid="261" sizebytes="791164"></div><p>I toured the cabin and thought it could easily boost the company's premium competitive edge — and a much-needed change from its old and <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/air-india-business-class-boeing-777-review-photos-2024-1">awkward business class</a> still flying many routes.</p><p><a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-turkish-airlines-new-luxurious-business-class-photos-review-2024-8">Turkish Airlines</a>, American Airlines, and Korean Air are among the handful of other companies also leaning into the popular trend.</p>

It comes with the Dell logo at the back, with the rest of the back being empty. It offers an elegant yet utilitarian look, which is probably what the laptop’s target audience is looking for.<br /><br /><div type="image" title="Hinge" msid="112447884" hostid="261" sizebytes="40532" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Dell Latitude 9450 hinge&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />The Latitude 9450 2-in-1 features a compact design but weighs 1.5 kg. The laptop comes with a 2-in-1 form factor, meaning it can also be used as a tablet. It features a sturdy hinge that allows you to comfortably convert it from a laptop to a tablet and vice versa, without worrying too much.<br /><br />The company says that this is the most compact business laptop in the market and it’s true. The weight is slightly on the higher side but that has been done to make it durable and sturdy. The metal edges and soft-touch matte finish give it a premium look and it feels good when you hold it.<br /><br />One of my gripes about a lot of laptops is that they are difficult to open with on hand. Opening the Dell Latitude 9450 may be an issue sometimes as you may not find anything on the lid to hold onto. Unlike Apple’s MacBook which can be opened easily with a single hand, I often had to use both hands to open the laptop.<br /><br />Once you open the laptop, you appreciate the design even more. The keyboard offers a smooth and velvety feel. The palm rest is also very soft and feels very comfortable to use. The edges however are a little sharp and you might feel it if you rest your hand on it for too long.<br /><br /><div type="image" title="Keyboard" msid="112447921" hostid="261" sizebytes="80342" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Dell Latitude 9450 keyboard&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />The keyboard is backlit and feels good to type on. It is smooth and feels good to use. While using work-related apps like Zoom or Microsoft Teams, the trackpad lights up with shortcuts for functions that you may need regularly.<br /><br /><div type="image" title="Mouse" msid="112447932" hostid="261" sizebytes="23184" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Premier Rechargeable MS7421W Wireless Mouse&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />One of the accessories that the company offers for the laptop is the Premier Rechargeable MS7421W Wireless Mouse, which comes with three connectivity options. The mouse is compact in size but due to its high arch, I found it to be uncomfortable while using it for extended durations.<br /><br /><div type="image" title="Right ports" msid="112448035" hostid="261" sizebytes="9844" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Ports on the right side&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />In terms of ports, Dell has kept the ports to a minimum. It offers three Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports with PowerDelivery and DisplayPort compatability. It features a built-in retractable USB Type-C cable. It also comes with Latitude 9450 branding at the bottom.<br /><br /><h2>Display</h2>Coming to the display, the Dell Latitude 9450 is equipped with a 14-inch Quad HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio and features thin bezels.<br /><br /><div type="image" title="Display" msid="112447954" hostid="261" sizebytes="35562" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Dell Latitude 9450 display&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />The display offers a 500 nits brightness, which is quite good for a laptop and allows you to use it even when under the sun.<br /><br />As it is a 2-in-1 laptop, it comes with a touch screen that is very responsive. It features an anti-smudge coating so you don’t have to worry about fingerprint smudges. While you can easily navigate the touchscreen with your fingers, Dell also offers a stylus to help you make the best out of the touchscreen.<br /><br />While an OLED panel would have offered improved contrast and better blacks, the IPS panel on the Latitude 9450 performs well. The biggest issue with the display is that the refresh rate is limited to 60Hz.<br /><br /><h2>Performance</h2>The Dell Latitude 9450 is available in various configurations. I tested the variant with the Intel Core Ultra 7 165U chipset. The chipset offers which offers two performance cores and eight efficiency cores. The Intel Core Ultra is a new Meteor Lake chipset from the company and comes with Intel Arc graphics.<br /><br />The laptop is equipped with up to 16GB LPPDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe.<br /><br />The new chipset from Intel is equipped with a dedicated neural processor unit that is aimed at performing AI tasks with ease. The laptop can handle machine learning and AI workloads without breaking a sweat.<br /><br />As the device is packed with powerful hardware, I had no issues with performance. The laptop easily handles everything that you throw at it without any issues and multi-tasking is a breeze.
