The official journey of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' commenced on March 12 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end on August 15, a day when pan-India 5G roll out can be announced. "Jio is fully ready for 5G rollout in the shortest period of time because of its nationwide fibre presence, all-IP network with no legacy infrastructure, indigenous 5G stack and strong global partnerships across the technology ecosystem," according to the company. Jio said its 5G network will enable the next generation of digital solutions that will accelerate India's AI-driven march towards becoming a $5 trillion economy. "The speed, scale and societal impact of Jio's 4G rollout is unmatched anywhere in the world. Now, with a bigger ambition and stronger resolve, Jio is set to lead India's march into the 5G era," said Akash Ambani. According to a Nomura report, 700 MHz band could potentially give Reliance Jio "an edge in terms of network quality, especially indoors, and this could increase investors' concerns on further spectrum outgo for Bharti if R-Jio were able to offer significant differentiation in network quality (vs Bharti) with 5G on 700 band". Reliance Jio 5G services could be launched on August 15

<ul><li>MEA has launched a three-month internship programme starting from April till June 2022.</li><li>The Ministry will be hiring only 75 candidates under this programme in New Delhi.</li><li>The last date to apply for the internship programme is February 15.</li></ul>India’s <keyword id="6374106" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ministry-of-external-affairs" source="Orion">Ministry of External Affairs</keyword> (MEA) has launched an internship programme as part of the <keyword id="10912165" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="azadi-ka-amrit-mahotsav" source="Orion">Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav</keyword> celebrations to commemorate 75 years of independence. The duration of the internship is three months starting from April till June 2022. The Ministry will be hiring only 75 candidates under this programme in New Delhi. The last date to apply for the internship programme is February 15. “The MEA Internship Policy 2022 aims to take foreign policy closer to the people; bring in more focus on MEA; provide value to the interns; ensure better gender inclusivity and increase diversity in terms of qualifications, domicile and socio-economic status amongst the cohort of interns engaged by the ministry,” said the ministry in its official advertisement. Selected candidates will be given a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 to defray basic costs. Air fare to and fro from the domicile state to Delhi will be provided by the ministry. Eligibility criteria — <ol><li>Candidates should hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university/institution at the time of applying. </li><li>The internship programme will also be open to students who are presently in the final year of their graduation, where an internship is a mandatory part of their final year curriculum. </li><li>Age of the candidates should not exceed 25 years as on 31 December of the year of internship. </li></ol>Selection procedure — The selection process will consist of two stages — preliminary screening and personal interview. A minimum of 30% of the 75 internships may be filled by women candidates. Weightage will be based on academic performance assessed by percentage of marks obtained in +2 and graduation exams. Candidates will have to apply online only state-wise merit lists will be prepared – separately for male and female candidates – by elimination based on academic performance in +2 and graduation exams. Candidates selected in the merit lists, which will be announced on February 18, will be called for a personal interview between February 22-24, which will be conducted via video conferencing by the judge panel. At the end of the internship, each intern shall submit a detailed report on the work carried out and, if required, make a presentation on it.
