Tata Avinya renders reveal the expected design of the concept electric car

Pure electric mid-sized SUVs for international markets are to be launched from 2025 onwards, according to a release from Tata Motors. The electric cars, based on the Avinya concept, will now be developed on JLR's Electrified Modular Architecture in exchange for a royalty fee, according to the press release issued on Thursday. "Avinya stands for 'Innovation' and represents our vision for a new paradigm in personal mobility. Being built on an architecture that is equipped with the latest advances in new-age technology, software and artificial intelligence, Avinya will spawn a new breed of world-class EVs, with global standards in efficiency and range. We are delighted to collaborate on the EMA platform with JLR for actualizing this vision," Anand Kulkarni, Chief Product Officer and Head HV Programmes, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. TVS launched the iQube electric scooter earlier and the new updated version comes with an improved design, better range and other improvements. The iQube and iQube S are equipped with a 3.4kWh battery and are claimed to offer a 100 km range on a single charge. Both the scooters can be fully charged in 4 hours and 30 minutes. Coming to the iQube ST, it is equipped with a larger 5.15kWh battery pack and is claimed to offer a range of 145 km on a single charge. The scooter can be fully charged in 4 hours and 6 minutes. The Ather 450X is equipped with a 2.9kWh battery pack and is claimed to offer a 116km range. The Ola S1 Pro is equipped with a 3,97kWh battery pack and is claimed to offer a range of 135 km. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> All three variants of the TVS iQube are equipped with a 4.4kW electric motor that is capable of taking the scooter from 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. While the iQube and iQube S offer a top speed of 78 kmph, the iQube ST offer a top speed of 82 kmph. Meanwhile, the Ather 450X is equipped with a 6kW motor that takes it from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. It offers a top speed of 80 kmph. TVS launches new iQube electric scooter in India – here’s how it fares against the Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro

Nineteen young children and two adults have died in an alleged shooting at a primary school in south <keyword id="15710" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="texas" source="Orion">Texas</keyword>. The 18-year-old gunman opened fire at <keyword id="14020049" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="robb-elementary-school" source="Orion">Robb Elementary School</keyword> in the city of <keyword id="5751336" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="uvalde" source="Orion">Uvalde</keyword> before he was killed by law enforcement, officials said. Investigators say the suspect was armed with a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and high-capacity magazines. The teenager is suspected of shooting his grandmother at the start of the rampage, the BBC news reported. Local media report say that he may have been a high school student in the area. Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Chief of Police, Pete Arredondo said the shooting began at 11:32 a.m. on Tuesday, and that the investigators believe the attacker "did act alone during this heinous crime". Texas Governor <keyword id="1110279" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="greg-abbott" source="Orion">Greg Abbott</keyword> said the shooter, whom he named as Salvador Ramos, abandoned a vehicle before entering the school to "horrifically, incomprehensibly" open fire. One of the adults killed was a teacher, who has been named in US media as Eva Mireles. Her page on the school district's website said she has a daughter in college and loved running and hiking. Just under 500 people are enrolled in the predominantly Hispanic school nearly 85 miles (135km) west of the city of San Antonio. Robb Elementary teaches second, third and fourth grade students, aged between seven to 10-years-old. The Associated Press news agency reports that a US Border Patrol official who was nearby when the shooting began rushed into the school and shot and killed the gunman, who was behind a barricade. Border Patrol is a federal agency that guards US ports of entry. Uvalde, which is fewer than 80 miles from the border with Mexico, is home to a Border Patrol station. Two border agents were reportedly shot in an exchange with the gunman. One agent was shot in the head, officials say, adding that both were now in a stable condition in hospital. According to CBS News, the attacker was wearing body armour as he carried out the attack. Another 18-year-old who is suspected of attacking a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, on May 14 was also wearing body armour and carrying a semi-automatic rifle -- both of which are commercially available in the US. The Uvalde Memorial Hospital posted on Facebook earlier that 13 children had been taken to hospital "via ambulances or buses". A 66-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl were in a critical condition at a hospital in San Antonio, University Health hospital officials say. Just a few blocks from the Robb Elementary school, a small vigil was held for the victims and survivors of the attack. Karla Bohman's voice cracked as she told the group about a family friend whose young daughter, a student at the school, was among those still unaccounted for. "They don't know if she's in surgery or one of the fatalities, but they know she's a victim of some sort because she's missing," Bohman cried. "I can't believe this." Cheryl Juhasz, a lifelong resident of Uvalde, quietly wept during the prayer. "You can't comprehend evil like this. No matter where it happens, but it's harder when it happens at home." The last day of classes for students in the school district was scheduled for Thursday. But all classes and activities have now been cancelled for the remainder of the year.
