The company is a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Ltd (<keyword id="13148082" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jwl" source="Orion">JWL</keyword>), manufacturer of wagons, high-speed brake systems, and railway and engineering equipment. The company has formed a joint venture with EA GreenPower Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GreenPower Motor Company Inc, a publicly listed firm in the US and Canada specialising in electric commercial vehicles in the passenger transportation and freight transport markets. The two EVs -- <keyword id="16043423" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jupiter-tez" source="Orion">Jupiter TEZ</keyword> (2.2 ton) and EV STar CC (7 ton) -- will help meet the pressing needs of the country, JWL managing director <keyword id="2964275" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="vivek-lohia" source="Orion">Vivek Lohia</keyword> said at the <keyword id="13421246" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="auto-expo-2023" source="Orion">Auto Expo 2023</keyword> here. "By the middle of this year, it will be ready to hit the roads," he said. The company did not disclose the prices. While Jupiter TEZ is completely manufactured in India, EV Star CC is coming out from China, he added. The 2.2 ton vehicle can be charged in 20 minutes and it can go up to 100 kilometres in a single charge, he added. Hector is now available in five variants -- Style, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro. The company said the SUV is available in five, six, and seven-seater configurations. The next-gen Hector has key safety features such as six airbags and a 360-degree HD camera. Hector was introduced by MG Motor India in 2019. Greaves Cotton unveils new two-wheeler, three-wheeler EVs

The company unveiled its SwapX compact battery swapping station at the Auto Expo 2023 here, with an aim to enable individuals to become franchisees as it looks to accelerate expansion of network. Besides, Sun Mobility also showcased its next generation battery pack S2.1, which has a higher power battery offering 45 per cent more range and interoperability. "Our aim is to have one million vehicles on our platform," SUN Mobility co-founder and chairman <keyword id="248758" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="chetan-maini" source="Orion">Chetan Maini</keyword> said. The company, which offers battery swapping service to two- and three-wheelers and small four-wheelers, has already deployed over 240 stations in more than 18 cities in <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>. Auto Expo 2023: Hyundai launches EV Ioniq 5 that can run 631 kms on a single charge

New Delhi, Feb 5 () Skoda on Wednesday unveiled Vision IN, an India specific mid-sized SUV concept car based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which the Czech carmaker expects to launch in 2021.This is the first product developed under India 2.0 project and is a part of Skoda's ongoing SUV offensive campaign.Skoda has plans to increase its brand presence and is increasing its marketing expenses three times.The company is also expanding its network to around 200 sales and service centers across India in 150 cities by 2023."We are confident that this mid-size SUV, when launched in 2021, will be a top contender for prospective buyers and will garner substantial market share in the segment in which it operates," said Skoda Auto India Brand Director Zac Hollis.The India 2.0 project, which entails an investment Rs 8,000 crore is aimed at strengthening presence in the domestic market with India-specific car models through a dedicated platform."With the investment in India 2.0 project, we have big ambitions.
