The Galaxy F13 is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+64 GB variant and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display that is said to offer crisp and clear content. Tech giant Samsung all set to launch Galaxy M13 series in India on July 14

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Morgan Stanley's lead auto analyst, Adam Jonas, is now also being described the bank as a "shared mobility" researcher - a clear signal that among Wall Streeters, he's continuing his campaign to be the most out-there student of the disruption currently going on in the <keyword id="34991" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="transportation">transportation</keyword> business.</p><p>Jonas and his team cover General Motors, Ford, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Tesla, and rental car companies, among others. If Uber ever undertakes an IPO (perhaps with Morgan Stanley playing a role in, if not leading, the underwriting), then Jonas and his team will likely initiate coverage.</p><p>In the past few weeks, Jonas has unleashed a flurry of research, on Ford and FCA. He's also shared some comments on Intel's stunning $15-billion acquisition of Mobileye. It's important to see these</p><p>It's important not to see these notes in isolation, but rather as a part of an overall thesis that Jonas has been developing about the future of mobility. And while Jonas has focused a lot on how Tesla will change mobility, he more recently has honed in on the original equipment manufacturers or OEMs, which is the auto-industry term for the big car companies.</p><p>For the record, Jonas is bullish on Tesla (although not as bullish as he was about a year and a half year ago), cautious on Ford, and relatively bullish on FCA.</p><h2>All about the data</h2><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>On Intel's acquisition of Mobileye, Jonas argued that the deal "highlights the strategic value of the global auto sector at a time of unprecedented disruption."</p><p>He added that "Tech firms are hunting for ever more data. Miles = data. The world's cars travel 10 trillion miles per year. First Harman… now MBLY? Who's next?"</p><p>Data derived from the operation of networked automobiles - driven by humans or driving themselves - has become an immense area of exploration for both traditional automakers and upstarts. Ford CEO Mark Fields, for example, has begun to describe the 100-plus-year-old firm as an information company.</p><p>The nexus has been sudden to develop and is currently not well understood, but no one wants to get left out. That's why Intel's move to buy Mobileye, an Israeli company that specializes in self-driving tech, and the Samsung-Harman deal that Jonas alluded to are noteworthy. Tech companies with zero transportation expertise are diving into the space so they can profit from large amounts of data.</p><p>Jonas' view here represents an expansion of a theme he's developed around Tesla and its efforts to participate in the massive, Uber-powered evolution of ride-hailing and "de-owned" shared mobility. Repeatedly, he and his team have stressed that miles driven could be a superior metric when it comes to transportation investment, overruling legacy measures such as vehicle sales: sell the car once, harvest the data for the life of the vehicle.</p><h2>Ford's good-bad bet?</h2><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>In terms of the old-fashioned car business, Jonas is more worried about Ford than about FCA. His assessment is contradictory to the consensus of the industry itself, where FCA is considered most vulnerable to a downturn, encouraging CEO Sergio Marchionne to seek a merger partner (more on that later).</p><p>Jonas is concerned about Ford's finance operations, specifically as they relate to the changing dynamics of what consumers have been buying. This is from his note on the topic:</p><p>For many observers, Ford's performance over the past two years has been impressive, as it has sold a huge number of pickups and SUVs in the booming US market. However, Jonas may be onto something by reminding investors that Ford might have created a problem for itself back before and during the financial crisis, when its financing operations continued while competitors such as GM went bankrupt. </p><p>The bottom line is that the Ford bet on smaller cars was smart, but only for a short period of time. Fortunately for the automaker, when the market swung back to SUVs and gas got cheap again, the carmaker had trucks to sell. But smaller, more fuel-efficient cars might not play the same role in the automaker's future. </p><h2>FCA-VW merger</h2><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>When it comes to the ongoing circus of speculation around a possible FCA-Volkswagen merger, Jonas thinks the deal would greatly assist FCA in getting into the high-tech game:</p><p><span>Jonas has basically crossed the Rubicon when it comes to the future of transportation: he and his team see disruptive investments as not just potentially lucrative, but as an opportunity to join a radical change in the way we get around. Morgan Stanley's lead auto analyst thinks data will rule the auto industry's future

<p>Chrysler this morning reported U.S. sales of 143,017 units, a 1% bump compared with a year ago. It was the company's best September since 2007.</p>
<p>Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Hyundai will report later today. Analysts are expecting total sales to fall to 15.80 million units at a seasonally adjusted annualized rate, a drop from August's 16.02 million figure (Labor Day sales figured <a href="http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20131001/AUTO01/310010021/1148/rss25">were included in August's figures</a>, not September's).</p>
<p>Analysts also expect domestic vehicle sales to have fallen to 12.30 million SAAR in September from 12.44 million.</p>
<p><keyword id="46211" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Auto-sales">Auto sales</keyword> have been posting a year-over-year gain for 2 years now.</p>

New Auto Sales Data Coming Throughout The Day

New Delhi, Dec 2 () Shares of major automobile companies fell on Monday on the back of poor show in November sales data. <p>Maruti Suzuki India stock fell 1.18 per cent to Rs 7,164.20 on the BSE and 1.31 per cent to Rs 7,151.20 on the NSE.
</p><p> Tata Motors was down marginally by 0.12 per cent to Rs 161.25 on the BSE and 0.05 per cent to Rs 161.45 on the NSE.
</p><p>Mahindra &amp; Mahindra (M&amp;M) stock dropped 1.15 per cent to Rs 523.95 in early trade on the BSE. Later on, it recovered the losses to trade 0.21 per cent up at Rs 531.15. On the NSE, the stock was trading 0.01 per cent down at Rs 530.50.
</p><p> Bajaj Auto registered a decline of 0.54 per cent to Rs 3,158.95 on the BSE and 0.66 per cent to Rs 3,154 on the NSE. 
</p><p>M&amp;M on Sunday reported nine per cent fall in total sales for November at 41,235 units.  
</p><p> The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India reported 1.9 per cent fall in sales at 1,50,630 units.  
</p><p> Tata Motors saw a slump of 25.32 per cent in total sales to 41,124 units.

Auto stocks fall on poor show in November sales data

New Delhi, Mar 2 () Shares of Bajaj Auto on Monday fell over 3 per cent after the company reported a 10 per cent decline in total sales in February.<p>The scrip dropped 3.21 per cent to close at Rs 2,797.70 on the BSE. During the trade, it declined 4 per cent to Rs 2,774.</p><p>On the NSE, it fell 3.21 per cent to close at Rs 2,797.</p><p>Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a 10 per cent decline in total sales at 3,54,913 units in February as against 3,93,089 units in the same month last year.</p> Total domestic sales declined by 24 per cent at 1,68,747 units last month as compared to 2,21,706 units in February 2019, Bajaj Auto said in a statement. Bajaj Auto shares fall over 3 pc on weak sales data

Alphabet and <keyword id="6355629" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> <keyword id="164502" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sundar-Pichai">Sundar Pichai</keyword> has announced new privacy improvements to keep your information safe, including changes to its data retention practices across core products to keep less data by default.<br /><br />Starting today, the first time you turn on Location History (which is off by default), your auto-delete option will be set to 18 months by default. <br /><br />Web and App Activity auto-delete will also default to 18 months for new accounts. <br /><br />"This means your activity data will be automatically and continuously deleted after 18 months, rather than kept until you choose to delete it. You can always turn these settings off or change your auto-delete option," Pichai said in a statement late Wednesday.<br /><br />Google last year introduced auto-delete controls, which give users the choice to have Google automatically and continuously delete Location History, search, voice and YouTube activity data after 3 months or 18 months.<br /><br />Google said if you've already had Location History and Web &amp; App Activity turned on, it won't be changing your settings. <br /><br />"But we will actively remind you about the auto-delete controls through in-product notifications and emails, so you can choose the auto-delete setting that works for you," said Pichai.<br /><br />On YouTube, auto-delete will be set to 36 months by default if you create a new account or turn on your YouTube History for the first time. <br /><br />Current users can still choose the 3 or 18 months auto-delete option. <br /><br />"Default retention periods will not apply to other products like Gmail, Drive and Photos," informed Pichai.<br /><br />Google said it will make it easier to access key Google Account controls from Search. <br /><br />Soon, when you're signed into your Google Account, you'll be able to search for things like "Google Privacy Checkup" and "Is my Google Account secure?" and a box only visible to you will show your privacy and security settings so you can easily review or adjust them.<br /><br />"We're also making it easier to access Incognito mode in our most popular apps, by long-pressing on your profile picture in Search, Maps and YouTube," said Pichai.<br /><br />It's available on the Google App for iOS, and coming soon to Android and other apps. <br /><br />"We're also working to make it possible to stay in Incognito mode across Google apps, like Maps and YouTube, and will have more to share soon," he added.<br /><br />Each year, more than 200 million people visit Privacy Checkup. <br /><br />"More than 100 million people have used Password Checkup, and they've seen a 30 per cent reduction in breached credentials," said Pichai.<br /><br />"Like the other elements of Security Checkup, we'll provide the information you need to secure any at-risk accounts, automatically. Google rolls out new privacy features, will auto-delete data in 18 months

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Gopal Chitrakar/Reuters</span></p><p class="caption">Nepalese mechanics inspect a 1939 Daimler-Benz</p></div><p></p></div></div>There is a lot of talk out there about the auto-loan market right now. </p><div><p>The default rate for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/auto-delinquencies-in-the-oil-patch-2016-5">auto loans in oil producing regions in the US  have been jumping</a>, while hedge fund honcho <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/chanos-auto-loan-2016-6">Jim Chanos has said the auto lending market should "scare the heck out of everybody."</a> </p><p>Even John Oliver has taken to the airwaves to highlight the ways some <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/john-oliver-explains-auto-lending-2016-8">used-car dealerships take advantage of people</a>.</p><p>In a presentation <a href="https://www.jpmorganchase.com/corporate/investor-relations/document/2016-barclays-presentation.pdf">on Monday at the Barclays Financial Services Conference</a>, Gordon Smith, chief executive for consumer &amp; community banking at JPMorgan, set out some eye-opening statistics on the market.</p><p>Now, to be clear, JPMorgan decided back in 2013 to pretty much pull out of auto lending to subprime borrowers - that is car buyers with the worst credit profiles -  and the presentation slides are at least in part designed to reassure investors that JPMorgan isn't participating in the loose lending that its competitors might be.</p><p>With that said, let's dive in:</p></div>

We just got some data on auto lending, and it's setting off alarm bells

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Stocks finished Monday little changed, with the S&amp;P 500 hitting a new all-time intraday high before losing ground late in the day to close. Crude oil was the big loser on Monday, with prices settling below $79 for the first time since the summer of 2012. </p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">1. Oil crashed. <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/crude-oil-fall-november-3-2014-11">Again</a>. Crude oil prices, which have been near $80 a barrel for the last few weeks or so took another leg lower late in the day on Monday, quickly dropping more than $2 to settle below $79 for the first time since June 2012. The drop in oil came late in the day, but about an hour <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-11-03/brent-falls-third-day-on-speculation-saudi-will-discount.html">after reports</a> that Saudi Arabia cut its official price for deliveries. Crude oil, which is down more than 20% this year and is in a bear market, could also have an impact in the bond market. <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/energy-companies-making-up-high-yield-bonds-2014-10">Business Insider's Sam Ro noted</a> that currently, about 15% of the high-yield, or "junk," bond market is made up by energy companies. </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">2. The pace of auto sales in October <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/us-auto-sales-october-2014-2014-11">rose from the prior month</a>. According to data from Wards Auto, the pace of auto sales climbed to 16.35 million in October, while AutoData statistics said sales came in at a pace of 16.5 million. September's auto sales came in at an annualized pace of 16.34 million. In a note to clients Jesse Hurwitz of Barclays wrote that O<span>ctober sales were little changed from September, and while they came in "broadly in line" with expectations, sales were below the second quarter average of 16.8 million.</span></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">3. In the US, we also got three pieces of economic data. Manufacturing data from Markit Economics showed that manufacturing activity slowed to its slowest past since July, with <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/markit-us-manufacturing-pmi-october-2014-11">Markit's PMI</a> reading coming in at 55.9 against expectations for a reading of 56.2. Meanwhile, the Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing PMI <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/ism-manufacturing-pmi-october-2014-11">came in at 59.0</a>, better than the 56.1 that was expected by economists. </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">4. Also on the economic data front, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/r-us-construction-spending-weaker-than-expected-in-september-2014-11">construction spendin</a>g in September fell for a second straight month, dropping 0.4% to an annual rate of $950.9 billion. The report also showed that investment in both public and private projects declined in September. </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">5. According to Bank of America Merrill Lynch's latest <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bofa-sell-side-indicator-2014-11">Sell Side Indicator survey</a>, Wall Street equity strategists are so bearish on stocks, it might be time to buy. In a note to clients Monday morning, Savita Subramanian and the equity strategy team at BAML wrote that that "we remain encouraged by Wall Street's ongoing lack of optimism and the fact that strategists are still recommending that investors significantly underweight equities." When the Sell Indicator has been this low or lower, BAML said, total stock returns have been positive over the next year 96% of the time. </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 22.5px;">6. Bill Gross released his latest investment outlook, which talked about the need for not just central banking stimulus, but real fiscal stimulus from the government. And while Gross touched on some of his investment outlook, his post was <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bill-gross-november-investment-outlook-2014-11">also about so much more</a>. </span></p>

<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="6355629" type="DEFINITION" weightage="60" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> has announced several new changes around user privacy.</li><li>It will now auto-delete location and web activity after 18 months by default, but only for new activations. For existing users, Google will send out reminders that they can set their data to expire after a certain period of time.</li><li>For new YouTube accounts, or existing accounts turning on YouTube History for the first time, Google will now auto-delete data after 36 months by default.</li><li>You'll also soon be able to access certain Google account controls from within search.</li><li><strong>Do you work at Google? You can contact this reporter securely using encrypted messaging app Signal (+1 628-228-1836) or encrypted email (hslangley@protonmail.com).</strong></li></ul><p>Google has announced it is revising some of its privacy rules, including a notable change to how long it retains some of your information.</p><p>Google had previously offered the option to auto-delete data such as search and location history after 3 or 18 months, but users had to select this option in the settings.</p><p>Now, when you turn on Location History on your Google account for the first time, the auto-delete option will be set to 18 months by default.</p><p>Google says the same goes for web and app activity data for new account activations.</p><p>For new YouTube accounts, or existing accounts turning on YouTube History for the first time, Google will now auto-delete data after 36 months by default.</p><p>However, none of these changes will apply to users with existing Google accounts. Instead, the company says it will remind those existing users via notifications and emails about the auto-delete controls on offer.</p><p>Why 18 months? Google says this is due to users who return to search information on annual events, such as the Oscars, and the uptick of interest in the weeks and months preceding and following these calendar staples.</p><p>All users will still be able to manually change their data retention settings if they wish, or choose to have the data retained indefinitely. </p><p>Along with the updates around data retention, Google has announced a few others changes, including:</p><ul><li><strong>Access Google account controls from within search:</strong> Soon, when signed into your Google Account, searching terms such as "Google privacy checkup" or "Is my Google Account secure?" will launch a box showing your privacy and security settings.</li><li><strong>Easy access to Incognito mode:</strong> In Google's Search, Maps, and YouTube apps, you can now launch incognito mode by long-pressing your profile picture.</li><li><strong>New privacy tips:</strong> Google says it's adding new "proactive recommendations" to its Privacy Checkup site.</li></ul><p>Google's announcement <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-wwdc-2020-keynote-event-developers-conference-recap-2020-6">follows Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference</a>, where privacy was front and center of the agenda. It's one key way that Apple has differentiated itself from Google, whose search and ads business relies heavily on collecting user data.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Good Morning!   US Futures are starting Q4 slightly weaker, as global PMI data coupled with increased protests in Hong Kong are sparking further growth concerns.   While Russell is basically unchanged, NDX futures off 20bp as some high-beta tech issues retreat.  While we get Auto data today, focus on the Airlines with AAL, DAL and JBLU all off 2.5%+ as the first US case of Ebola is discovered in Texas (TKMR +34% right now).   Stocks are mixed in Europe in decent volume, with FTSE losing 50bp as Miners get hit, EU Stoxx off 20bp on Airline weakness - but doves are bidding up the DAX slightly as German PMI showed a dip back to contraction, sparking hopes into the ECB <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1683506254"><span class="aQJ">tomorrow</span></span>.   Best market in Europe is Greece, Athens up 2%+ and their yields sharply tighter as Draghi is pushing for ECB to accept Greek and Cypriot junk loans.    In Asia, China and HK closed for Holiday, but Nikkei lost 60bp and South Korea lost 1.4% as Technology shares continue to see sellers.   Best market in Asia was Aussie, bouncing on weaker A$ helping exporters and steadier data out of China</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">The US 10YY is under pressure as there is heavy demand for Bunds in Germany - German 10's are yielding a 2week low 92bp and Germany 2's are nearing a record low of -9bp.    Here in the US our policy sensitive 2-year US Treasury yield is down 1 basis point to 0.57 per cent, but only a couple of basis points below its highest level in three years.    The $ is jumping again as weak PMI drives Euro lower, and Yen gets hit thru Y110 for the first time since August 2008 on a disappointing Tankan survey.    Despite the headwind, most commodities are bouncing after yesterday's Q-End markdown, with Copper back up 1% and WTI up 50bp ahead of Inventory data.   Into Auto Sales today, we are seeing sharp weakness in Platinum dropping to a 5Y low on demand concerns.    Scheduled catalysts today include ADP Employment at <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1683506255"><span class="aQJ">8:15</span></span>, Markit US Manufacturing PMI at <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1683506256"><span class="aQJ">9:45</span></span>, followed by the official ISM report at 10, DOE data for Crude at <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1683506257"><span class="aQJ">10:30</span></span>, and there is NO POMO at 11.   Throughout the session we will be getting Domestic Auto Industry Sales</p>

Excluding auto and gas, they estimate that sales fell 0.1%. </p><p>Retail sales data help us feel the pulse of consumer spending, which accounts for about two-thirds of gross domestic product. </p><p>"Gasoline price declines likely reduced nominal retail sales in September, but we project decent gains in other spending, wrote UBS economists in a client preview.
