<ul><li><keyword id="1945738" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Cardekho">CarDekho</keyword> reported a 62% growth in its revenue to Rs 260 crore in the year ending March 2019, despite the major slumps in auto industry.</li><li><keyword id="250518" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gaurav-Mehta">Gaurav Mehta</keyword>, Chief Marketing Officer, CarDekho says the major driver of this growth was used-car segment, which helped it grow by 264%, backed by strong some ROI-driven marketing initiatives.</li><li>The company also increased its marketing monnies by 150% as it turned its focus back to offline marketing after a four-year gap.</li></ul>The Google-backed auto-classifieds portal, CarDekho has had a good year so far. Earlier this year, the platform reported a 62% growth in its revenue to Rs 260 crore in the year ending March 2019. This performance came on the back of a strong growth witnessed by its used-car segment. CarDekho achieved this growth at a time when the auto sector has been facing one of its worst slumps in years. However, CarDekho believes that its focus on understanding that every consumer has a unique need and addressing those needs with a 360 degree approach has helped them stay on track, in terms of growth. We recently caught up with Gaurav Mehta, Chief Marketing Officer, CarDekho Group who walked us through the platform’s growth story so far, and its future plans to retain its growth. Edited excerpts: In a year when the auto industry is struggling, you have been able to post impressive growth figures. How have you achieved this? There's a widespread belief that when the times get tough, which the auto sector is facing right now, one should turn to more ROI-led and measurable methods of marketing. While the auto industry is facing some headwinds, it’s not like the entire marketing monies have fallen out of the system. They continue to spend with us in ROI-inductive methods. And that’s what’s led to a 44% growth for our new car’s division for the first quarter of the financial year. Also, last year, our used car businesses started to come together as an ecosystem, which has led to the immense growth we saw in the first quarter of this year. We grew upwards of 264% because used cars as an industry hasn't slowed down. People are more open to buying used cars now, the Tier II-Tier III demands are picking up and it’s becoming more structured and digitized. The company recorded a massive revenue growth of 92% in its overall business compared to the same quarter last year. From an organization perspective, what have you done differently that has led to this growth? Over the years, with the use of our content and marketing, we’ve become good acquiring users at a fairly reasonable cost. Because of our product experience and content play, people stick around for a long time, and they complete their journeys online. And on the back of an interested audience in automobile, we were able to come up with options like car insurance and car finances. These small steps that we started some years back have become sizable over the last 12 months. The biggest problem for any digital player is to get a sticky audience at a nominal cost. That’s where upfront costs in marketing become high but we’ve been good at it. With 41 million sessions on CarDekho itself, August was our highest-ever traffic and this was primarily driven by great SEO, content and performance marketing. Secondly, we consciously wanted to work across the extended industry. We work very closely with the BFSI sector for loans and insurance and with used car dealers. Getting into a tech integration with a bank or insurance player is not as easy as it sounds because we have to maintain gold standard levels for data security, SLAs etc. So we had to work on a lot of issues to work with the larger ecosystem. Work in the last 3-4 years has led us to this place where we are seeing this kind of growth coming in, despite the headwinds. It is important to win your consumer’s trust in the segment you function in. How have you built that trust? Cars are a high-involvement purchase decision. While buying a car will take about three months, even buying a two-wheeler takes about 15 days, because people research a lot. And that's where our content play becomes superbly important. CarDekho group and our chief editor believe that the editorial ethos and integrity cannot be compromised upon. Our editorial ethos is that we’ll help our consumers find the right car for their needs. We don't believe there's a bad car, but that there’s a right car for every person and that's how our content play completely shifted two years back. Now, people are getting their answers and they knew we are impartial and completely unbiased. Secondly, people drop leads on our platform and want us to put them in touch with different dealers from whom they can buy cars. We’re very cognizant of the fact that this is a big responsibility, so we only match them with dealers that they want to be matched with. Thirdly, because of the loan and insurance pieces, a lot of financial data flows through our system. The payouts, the data security are all imperative for us to be a trusted ecosystem. These three things have helped our consumers put their complete trust in us. From being an online entity to moving offline, how did that progression happen? There’s a segment of customers and who are convenience seekers, which is where this model (<keyword id="8180462" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="CarDekho-Gaadi-Stores">CarDekho Gaadi Stores</keyword>) works well because you can go and sell your car within two hours without any problems &amp; with transfer of documents. We are currently present in 15 cities with 56 stores and within seven months of operation, we’re number two in the market. We’ve received a fairly strong traction because we understand that different users have different need gaps. So while the classified takes care of a certain kind of user, the Gaadi store takes care of another kind of user. We're just trying to map our proposition as per the needs in the market. How many stores do you plan to open by the end of this financial year? If we're lucky, it will definitely be above 150 stores in about 27-28 cities. How has CarDekho as a platform evolved over the years? Ours is one of the few big digital sectors that got consolidated fairly early. We acquired Gaadi and ZigWheels and CarTrade and CarWale came together. And for some time, these were the only two big auto-tech companies. However, with time more players started entering the category and more business models started coming in. But when you have a large number of interested users, you can open up the whole ecosystem fairly rapidly. When we acquired ZigWheels, it combined with BikeDekho to become the largest destination for two-wheelers, just like CarDekho and ZigWheels together became the largest four-wheeler ecosystem in the country. Then we pivoted towards the Gaadi stores and there’s a lot of B2B play. We issue almost 55,000 auto insurance policies per month, from a B2B perspective. And that's a very large number. It all depends on the goal of keeping the consumer funnel healthy and engaged. For the financial year ending March 2019, CarDekho posted revenues of Rs 260 crore, a 62% increase. Do you have any target for yourself for the next financial year? We are fairly confident we will be growing by about 70-80% over our last year’s numbers. You’ve come out with a TVC this year promoting the Gaadi stores. What kind of increase has your marketing spends seen this year? We came back to offline marketing (TV) in March 2018, after a four-year gap. So there’s going to be an increase in marketing budget because of the offline marketing to the tune of about 150%. Going ahead, what will be your marketing strategy? The current size of the ecosystem gives us very strong numbers where 90% of all car-buying audience in the country goes through us. But initiatives like the Gaadi business model, or any other product that we might launch in the future, will require consumer behavior shifts and education and that's where a lot of our marketing investments will go. At some point, two-wheelers will become an interesting play because they aren’t as penetrated as cars are. There are about 18 million two-wheeler buyers in the country, and around 3.3-3.5 million new and 4 million used car buyers. This together forms the personal vehicle buyer segment. So there are a total of about 25 million people who have either bought a used car, new car or a two-wheeler. Two-wheeler is a larger number, more of a Tier II, Tier III, smaller town phenomena. That might be a big growth for us in the future. Our task would be to become the first digital medium of choice for this audience, when they look for two-wheelers.

How CarDekho is thriving in a year of slump for the auto sector

New Delhi, Nov 28 () Automobile portal CarDekho on Thursday said it has acquired Philippines-based online car classified site Carmudi for an undisclosed amount.
 The acquisition is aligned with company's business strategy to expand and fortify its footprint across Southeast Asia, CarDekho said in a statement.
 The company already has presence in Indonesia, where it operates under OTO.com brand name.
 "Philippines' underlying macro fundamentals make it an extremely promising market," CarDekho group co-founder and President Umang Kumar said.
 The market demand for new passenger vehicles in Philippines has grown at a CAGR of 14 per cent during 2014-2018, with new car sales crossing 3,80,000 units in 2018, he added.
 "We see this growth as a big opportunity to digitise the Philippines auto ecosystem and engage with consumers throughout their online car buying journey. Our strong ecosystem play has made us a leader in India and Indonesia. And now we are expecting the same for Philippines," Kumar said.
 Carmudi's Philippines country head Cholo Syquia said CarDekho's backing would help the company further strengthen its position in the region.
 "This means added enhancements in technology, processes, and platform resulting in great user experience. Carmudi is already known for quality listings, powerful search, and one-stop convenience but the collaboration with CarDekho will enable us to digitalise and simplify the entire auto ecosystem," he added. CarDekho acquires Philippines-based car classified site Carmudi

Business-to-Business is fast becoming the next ‘must-invest’ sector in India and 2015 has been the year. With Venture Capitalists pouring in millions of money into <keyword id="6399166" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="B2B">B2B</keyword> ecommerce start-ups this space saw exceptional growth in just one year. It also saw some spectacular decisions being taken with the plan to set up the country’s first B2B international ecommerce platform for manufacturers and exporters to sell any product that is made or valued in India, to overseas vendors. “2015 is the year when B2B became a sector on its own,” said Swati Gupta, founder of <keyword id="2741940" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="industrybuying-com">industrybuying.com</keyword> that is growing at 25% month-on-month since December 2014. Another portal in the space <keyword id="2735270" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tolexo">Tolexo</keyword>.com, India’s first and largest online bazaar for Industrial products, has hit a major milestone with over 1, 00,000 businesses buying from its online platform and records more than 40% growth in the customer base month-on-month, within 10 months of its launch. Further, the brand is expected to serve 1 million businesses by 2020. “The adoption rate has been phenomenal,” said <keyword id="2402415" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Brijesh-Agrawal">Brijesh Agrawal</keyword>, founder of Tolexo. He was leading IndiaMart for 19 years. These portals have also attracted huge <keyword id="6357455" type="EVENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Funding">funding</keyword>. Industrybuying raised USD 9 million in Series B funding in September 2015. The latest to join the bandwagon is rivigo, which offers on-demand B2B logistics services to companies in the e-commerce, FMCG, auto, pharma and the cold chain industries and has secured a funding of USD 30 million. 

	The numbers have proved well why this sector is going to be the ‘next big thing’ in the start-ups revolution. But what changed in 2015 that made it so huge an industry?
 

	Drivers
 

	“What existed earlier was the classified platform where typically businesses would find out with whom they want to do businesses with. But with these portals, businesses can sell and buy instantly, without having to negotiate as the price and availability of the product are there on the site. Hence the overall buying decision becomes a lot easier and quicker for them to make. These portals not only allow you to find the right product and the right supplier, it also ensures the product is picked up from the supplier and delivered to the doorstep,” said Brijesh.
 

	He further said another added advantage was that the products can be delivered in small cities too.
 

	Tolexo has managed to penetrate into the deepest parts of the nation, with customers from remote locations on its list, from among more than 900 cities, with over 65% of this traction coming from Tier 2, 3 &amp; 4 cities. 
 

	Challenges
 The sector mainly faces four main challenges, <keyword id="6383566" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Taxation">taxation</keyword> systems in different states, supply chain network, adaptability to the new online platform and awareness. 

	1. Taxation
 

	Different states have different taxation for different products. Dealing with that is a bit of a problem as the supplier can come from any city for that matter.
 

	2. Adaptability
 

	“B2B has never been exposed to ecommerce before, both from the seller side and the buyer side. So, the nuances that come along a typical B2B ecommerce business are something that we are experiencing for the first time,” said Brijesh.
 

	3. Supply chain network
 

	The third challenge is with the logistics infrastructure itself. The major traction that comes from Tier 2,3 and 4 cities. The existing supply chain network is not predictable in these areas.
 

	“So delivering within a specified timeframe is big challenge,” said Swati.
 

	4. Awareness
 

	Also, lack of awareness is something that cause lack of trust between the supplier and the customer.
 

	Some predictions for 2016
 A clear supply chain network would be built for <keyword id="3179231" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="B2B-ecommerce-portals">B2B ecommerce portals</keyword>, predicts Brijesh while adding that they are planning to build a credit based payment mechanism for business to buy online in 2016.

In the fall of 2020, I found myself in unfamiliar territory: I was looking for a new job. In theory, it was something I should have known a lot about as an economics reporter. But in practice, I was lost. Because I had stumbled into a great job right out of college, and stayed with that company for a decade, I was blissfully unaware of how soul-crushing it was to be a job seeker in 21st-century corporate America.I threw myself into the task. I meticulously researched employers. I applied to a dozen openings. I tailored my CV to match each job description. I wrote heartfelt paragraphs about why each role was perfect for me. Yet all I got back was a raft of canned rejection emails — or worse, silence. I was floored that I didn't advance to a single interview. This is terrible, I thought. How does anyone do this? I might as well have been sending my applications out into the ether.Luckily, I landed a job after a few months. But the experience stayed with me. And these days, applying for a job has turned into even more of a nightmare. In the current market, it's not uncommon for totally unremarkable jobs to attract <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/remote-wfh-jobs-application-odds-tech-market-rto-2023-9">thousands of applications</a>. Employers are so overwhelmed by the flood of résumés that they're barely able to glance at most of them, let alone read them. The whole process has become an odds game: Job seekers submit their cover letters to hundreds of companies, struggling to stand out among the tsunami of applicants. Things have gotten so grim that LinkedIn no longer trumpets the number of people who have applied to openings on its job portal.So when I heard that you can now use a bot to mass-apply to job openings, I was intrigued. The bots — with names like LazyApply and Massive — have turned job hunting into a technological arms race. You pay a fee, feed your résumé into the bot, tell it what you're looking for, and blam! — it starts sending out hundreds of applications on your behalf, often in real time. It's the promise of AI, applied to the job market: an intelligent, personalized, HR-slaying machine, designed to land you a gig through a combination of tech-savvy and brute force.The question is: Do the bots work? I decided to find out. So I went undercover in the age of AI.I wasn't looking for a job. But late one night I cracked open a beer, updated my résumé, pulled out my credit card, and entrusted my fate to a job-application bot. Which roles would it apply to? How accurately would it reflect my skills and interests to employers? A friend joked, "Does your editor know this story might end in you taking a new role?" The thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I didn't think any employers would actually bite. How could an AI-generated version of me possibly compete in such a crowded and chaotic job market?Some 120 applications later, I stood corrected.The first bot I tried was called Sonara. For $79.99 a month, I signed up for the most expensive "amplitude" plan, which would allow me to apply for 420 openings. After I spent a half hour uploading my résumé and completing my profile, Sonara showed me maybe a dozen job options. I greenlighted a few of them, and the bot promised it would send them out. Each morning when I logged back on, it would send me a trickle of new options to consider. But the ones I approved continued to sit in the queue, unsent. It was hardly the job-applying firehose I was looking for. I pinged customer service a few times. Then, after a week, a statement popped up on Sonara's website. The service was shutting down. Great, I thought. There goes my $79.99.Undeterred, I signed up for WonsultingAI, which seemed like a bargain at only $19.99 a month. It was a little more manual than Sonara: Every time I wanted it to pull in more job openings, I had to input my experience level and specify the title and location of the position I was looking for. It had a cool feature that allowed me to use a different résumé for each job title I applied to, meaning I could highlight different skills and achievements for various positions. But like Sonara, it didn't show me many job openings, and it was pretty glitchy. About one in three applications never went through.<div type="image" title="A robot carrying resumes." height="2000" width="2000" msid="108238936" hostid="261"></div>I had more hope for Massive, another bot I tried. True to its name, it showed me way more openings than Sonara and Wonsulting. But it had a limited, preset list of corporate occupations I could apply to. I chose a couple that felt most relevant to what I do: content marketing and PR. For $39 a month, it would send out up to 50 applications a week. Every few days, I would spend 20 minutes sifting through the options and vetoing the jobs that weren't relevant. It all seemed pretty seamless. After a few days, I started getting a steady stream of automated emails from various employers thanking me for submitting my application. Still, 50 applications a week felt pretty tame in the AI age. What I wanted was a true spray-and-pray machine, the AK-47 of job-application bots. For that, I turned to LazyApply.LazyApply didn't offer a monthly subscription option, so I purchased a lifetime plan for $129. That gave me the ability to submit a maximum of 750 applications per day. (A more expensive plan came with unlimited applications, but I just couldn't imagine sending out more than 750 in a week, let alone a day.) Unlike the other bots, which ingested job openings into their own sites, LazyApply submitted applications via external job boards. So I linked my brand-new LazyApply profile to my accounts on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn. Then I set it loose.Unlike the other bots, LazyApply did all the applying in real time, right in front of my eyes. It was as if someone had hacked my computer: I watched as the bot clicked on various boxes and typed out answers to short questions. For the first few minutes, I was mesmerized. Then, I started to panic. In one application, the bot indicated that I speak conversational-level Spanish, which I definitely do not. In another, it reported that I was African American, even though I had specified in my LazyApply profile that I am Asian. I shouldn't have been surprised, given AI's well-known propensity to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ai-chatbot-chatgpt-google-microsofty-lying-search-belief-2023-2">make stuff up</a>. But I was alarmed. If I had been a real job seeker, I probably would have pulled the plug on the rogue machine. Instead, I let LazyApply do its thing. I was curious to see which jobs, if any, Spanish-speaking African American Aki would land.Then things got even weirder. A few applications in, I realized that LazyApply wasn't using the updated résumé I had given it. Instead, it was attaching a document I didn't recognize, titled "Aki Ito Cover Letter, Resume, Links for Insider.pdf." That's strange, I thought. Did LazyApply auto-generate a cover letter for me? I wondered whether it was any good. But when I opened the PDF, I saw it was dated October 24, 2020. It read: "Dear Mr. Carlson: I'm writing to apply for the analytical features editor position at Insider." Instead of sending out the updated résumé I'd provided, LazyApply was submitting an old cover letter it had found buried in the depths of my LinkedIn account, from when I had applied to BI three years ago. In a single spurt, 27 employers — ranging from a website I had never heard of called CryptoNewsZ to venerable publications like The Boston Globe — received an application from me that talked about how much I wanted to work for one of their competitors. LazyApply, I realized in horror, was living up to its name.Applying for jobs has never been easy, or pleasant. Nobody liked it back in the old days, when people found work by scanning the classified ads in their local newspaper, going to Kinko's to print out their résumés, mailing off their applications, and then waiting weeks or months to hear back. Looking for work has always been work.The internet promised to change all that. Three decades ago, when Monster and CareerBuilder launched, they sought to match huge pools of job seekers and employers in one big forum — to create what's known, in economics, as a thicker market. With more efficient matchmaking between companies and prospective employees, the thinking went, we might even be able to permanently lower unemployment and boost productivity.But a thicker market actually didn't make the matching process any more efficient. Employers got access to a larger pool of applicants, but they didn't have the tools to sort through the sudden influx of options. Besieged by volume, they coped by spending less time reviewing the details of every applicant and ghosting the ones they rejected. Candidates adapted by sending out more applications, which further overwhelmed HR departments. The new technology came with an ironic twist: It made it easier than ever to apply for a job, and harder than ever to actually land one.The first wave of AI was supposed to fix what the internet broke. Job boards began to take on a more active role in the marketplace, using big data to recommend the best jobs to job seekers and the best job seekers to employers. A decade ago, when I was writing for Bloomberg, I posited that the new approach might finally solve what one economist called the job market's "<a target="_blank" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2013-04-03/algorithms-play-matchmaker-to-fight-7-7-u-s-unemployment-jobs">needle-in-the-haystack problem</a>." I couldn't have been more wrong. The vicious cycle continued, forcing everyone to apply to ever more jobs as their chances of success dropped. Hence the bots.<div type="image" title="A microscope reveals a robot face where a human face appears on a résumé." height="2000" width="2000" msid="108238937" hostid="261"></div>So far, though, it looks like the arrival of job bots is only making the problem worse. For starters, employers hate them. HR departments have no way of knowing which applications came from a human and which came from a machine. Unless, of course, the bot screws up, like LazyApply did on my applications. Factual errors, nonsensical answers to questions, false promises of Spanish fluency — letting a bot do your job hunting can make you look really, really bad."It's definitely a huge risk," says Tony Riggins, who has years of experience as a recruiter for leading tech companies. "It can completely damage your candidacy, and perhaps even your reputation, if you're a candidate with an application making mistakes." Thanks to LazyApply, I've probably destroyed any chance I had of working for The Boston Globe.Some of the bot services are aware of their technology's limitations. Their solution is the same one that tech platforms like Facebook and YouTube have long been forced to resort to in the face of their algorithmic chaos: reintroducing a layer of human oversight to the process. Massive relies on human "job experts" to double-check every application completed by its bot. Other services, including Teal and Simplify, use Chrome extensions that make you responsible for reviewing the bot's work, forcing you to click "submit" before each autofilled application is sent.Ladders, a job board that specializes in high-paid positions, takes human oversight a step further. Early in the pandemic, when hiring came to a standstill, the company brainstormed new ways to help job seekers. "A top complaint over and over again was, 'It takes me too long to apply for all these jobs,'" recalls Marc Cenedella, the founder and executive chair of Ladders. "It is mind-numbing, soul-crushing work." So in 2020, the company rolled out a new feature: a team of humans who would complete your job applications for you. At $49.97 a month, it proved wildly popular: Today, the majority of applications on Ladders are completed by human proxies instead of job seekers.Ladders' decision to refrain from fully automating its service is intentional. Cenedella says his team has taken a look at a variety of job-application bots. "What we're interested in is quality, accuracy, and speed," Cenedella told me. "So far, we haven't found any that have met those bars for us."Still, we know how this story goes. It's as old as John Henry. Humans may, in the short run, manage to beat a steel-driving machine. But sooner or later, their hearts will explode from trying to keep up. The humans at Ladders can only send out 50 applications for you each month. But the job bots at LazyApply and other services never get tired. They aren't aiming for quality. Like most tech these days, they're betting on scale.It's a smart bet. Much to my surprise, out of the 126 jobs I applied to with the bots, I ended up hearing back from seven employers. That's a 6% success rate — pretty high, considering that half the jobs were in areas like PR or marketing, in which I have zero experience.I responded to each email I got with an apology, explaining that I was testing out the bots for a story I was writing. Did the employers have any inkling that my application came from a bot?"I wouldn't have guessed," one recruiter told me. "There's no way to know on LinkedIn jobs." Another hiring manager wrote: "The main thing that was unusual about your application is it included a cover letter for an old job and outdated CV." Yet even that level of screw-up hadn't deterred him. "Other than that," he said, "nothing struck me as bot-like or weird."A third employer — a journalist whose work I've admired for years — was also fooled. "Yikes," he wrote when I told him my application was bot-produced. "Have not run into that, and didn't realize." He added, somewhat sheepishly: "I was on a cross-country plane and tired." Getting duped by a bot may not be a good outcome for an employer, but it felt like a win for me. After all, I got seven callbacks, compared with the zero I got with the handcrafted, low-volume strategy I took three years ago — and the bot-driven process required far less time and energy. Moreover, it felt like a form of equity. Let's face it: HR departments approach the job-search process in a purely transactional manner, sending out automated rejections to desperate job seekers who spent days polishing and perfecting their applications. Now I was doing the same, using adaptive machines to get my human foot in the door. It made the whole shitty process feel a bit more manageable. And if using bots increases your odds of success, it's worth a shot. The more darts you throw at the wall, the better chance you have of hitting the bull's-eye.But whatever value they provide for weary job seekers, it's worth noting that spray-and-pray bots don't address the larger issue that prevents many applicants from landing a job. Ultimately, it's not how many applications you send out that wins the day — it's the connections you have. A good résumé is one thing, but if Bob over in marketing says you'd be a great addition to the team, that means a whole lot more."The biggest challenge for job seekers is that you see a great job, but you see it at the same time as 5 million other people on the job board," Emily Lamia, an experienced career coach, told me. "How you find out about those jobs before they're listed, and how you make the right connections to even design a job for yourself, is how people end up in positions that are really fulfilling for them." Lamia routinely polls her clients, and she's found that 80% of the time, they got their current jobs — and most of their past ones — through some kind of connection. That's why she says she would never recommend job-search bots to her clients. Instead of cold applying to hundreds of jobs, they need to focus on networking for the ones they really want.Networking is ultimately how I landed my job at Business Insider. My original cold application to the company — the one that included my "Dear Mr. Carlson" cover letter — went nowhere. CarDekho expands footprint in Southeast Asia, acquires Philippines-based Carmudi

In his fourth investment in an e-commerce firm, Tata Group chairman emeritus <keyword id="6360722" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="ratan-tata">Ratan Tata</keyword> has invested in <keyword id="1945738" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Cardekho">CarDekho</keyword>.com, an auto classifieds portal. In 2014, the 77-year-old business leader had invested in online shopping portal Snapdeal, furniture e-tailer Urban Ladder and online jewellery seller <keyword id="255703" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bluestone">BlueStone</keyword>. 
 
"Tata, a deeply revered man in the Indian auto sector, has for the first time ever joined hands with an auto portal by investing in personal capacity. While the investment amount remains undisclosed, Tata has agreed to advise the company as and when required,” as per a statement issued by CarDekho. 
 
"Such an investment by the man who has significantly shaped the Indian auto sector is a testimony to CarDekho's plans in its quest to rapidly grow in the auto classifieds sector," it added. 
 <keyword id="191830" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="GirnarSoft">GirnarSoft</keyword>, the company that owns CarDekho, also operates other websites like BikeDekho.com and PriceDekho.com. And it is now valued at $300 million. 
 
"Post our recent funding and investment by Tata, we are another step closer to the group's vision of becoming a global company through our innovative products and services,” said Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO, GirnarSoft. 
 
"With the faith and confidence shown by Tata in the company, it increases our responsibility towards contributing for the overall development of the online automobile sector," he concluded.
