The headphone has some subtle branding, with the Sonic Lamb name printed on both sides. The headphones feature hybrid driver acoustics, offering air conduction and <keyword id="21902006" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bone-conduction" source="keywords">bone conduction</keyword>. While the 27mm impulse drivers handle bone conduction, the 40mm dynamic drivers use air conduction. This basically allows you to not just listen to the music but also feel it. The Wooferpads convert the bone conduction impulses generated by the 27mm impulse drivers to something that can be felt through the earcups. It acts as a subwoofer and generates a physical sensation that can be felt using conduction technology. It offers four modes – <ul><li>Hear</li><li>Feel</li><li>Immerse</li><li>Beast</li></ul>The Hear mode is the first level which offers a balanced sound signature and it is meant for listening to soft music, calls, meetings, podcasts and more. This mode focuses more on the vocals and has a balanced sound signature. The second mode, Feel adds an extra thump to the bass as it amps up the lower frequency for songs that offer bass. Moving on to the third mode, Immerse adds a more powerful bass, with the sub-woofer kicking in. This mode has been designed for bass-heavy genres like RAP, EDM, hip hop and more. The most powerful mode is the Beast mode. As the name suggests, this is the top mode and goes all-in on bass and has vibrations coming from the Wooferpads. This has been designed for action movies, especially those with gunshots and destruction. I also found this mode useful while gaming. Coming to the battery life, it is equipped with a 1,400mAh battery that can be recharged using a USB Type-C cable. A full charge takes around two hours and 10 minutes of charging offers up to six hours of music playback. A full charge offers up to 42 hours of usage in the Hear mode and up to 12 hours of usage in the Beast mode. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Sonic Lamb is a great headphone, especially considering that this is the first device from the company. It offers a good build quality, comfort and an excellent audio experience. While a good app is needed for the headphones, you can control it using the buttons provided. The sound customisation offered is something that a lot of premium headphones fail to properly implement but Sonic Lamb does it well. At the end of the day, it is a premium offering aimed at audiophiles looking for a good headphone and are willing to pay a premium for it. Coming to the display, the smartphone comes with a 10-bit 6.7-inch 1.5K curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2000 nits brightness. To make use of this, you need to change to the natural mode. During my testing, the natural mode worked well. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The high refresh rate and colour accuracy make it a great option for those looking to play games or consume content. The high brightness ensures that you do not have to worry about using the device in direct sunlight. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Software and performance" comment="subhead" text="Software and performance">Software and performance</cmsannotation> The Motorola Edge 50 Pro runs on Android 14 out of the box with the company’s new Hello UI on top. The smartphone will get three years of Android updates and five years of security updates. While it is a decent chipset, the company could have offered a more powerful chipset, in line with other smartphones in the segment. The device offers a good gaming experience, even with Full HD graphics. I tried popular titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India and Call of Duty: Mobile on the smartphone. The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 125W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. At a time when a lot of devices more expensive than the Edge 50 Pro do not offer wireless charging, it is good to see 50W wireless charging on the device. The laptop comes with a minimalistic design, featuring an X symbol at the back and the Alienware logo that lights up. The logo’s colour can be customized according to your preference. The company has used stainless-steel switches for the device. In terms of ports, the Alienware x16 R2 comes with an audio jack, a microSD card slot, a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4, a Type-C 3.2 Gen port, 2 x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a HDMI 2.1 port. As it is a gaming laptop, the company has employed several measures to keep the temperature down. It comes with the company’s Alienware Cryo-tech cooling technology. While the display lacks HDR support, it comes with Dolby Vision support, offering an excellent viewing experience. The lack of HDR may be an issue as this means you will miss out on HDR in games. The peak brightness is also on the lower side at 300 nits. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> The Alienware x16 R2 is equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor. The Intel Core Ultra is a new Meteor Lake chipset from the company. The laptop is available with up to 32GB LPDDR5X 7467 MHz RAM and up to 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The graphic duties are handled by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 16GB GDDR6 graphics. I tested the laptop with several games, including games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 5. Both the games performed well and the laptop was able to handle them without any issues. The powerful hardware means that you will be able to run any game with the best graphics without even having to look at the system requirements for a long time. I was able to play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Alan Wake 2 at the highest graphic settings without any issues. The laptop’s cooling technology can keep the device cool during extended gaming sessions so you don’t have to worry about performance throttling. The laptop is equipped with a 90Whr battery and offers a decent battery life considering it is a gaming laptop. It offers around six hours of battery life but this will significantly come down if you game on it. The Alienware x16 R2 offers a six-speaker setup with spatial audio. The device offers a good audio experience. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Alienware x16 R2 is a feature-packed laptop that offers powerful hardware, a good display and a decent battery life. The laptop also offers a good all-metal chassis with a minimalistic design but can also light up like a regular gaming laptop when you need it to. At the same time, the laptop is not very portable due to its large size and weight. If you want a laptop that you can easily carry around, this may not be the best option for you. Then again, If you are looking for a gaming laptop that you won’t carry around every day, the x16 R2 is a good option. The price is another thing that you need to consider. It is a very premium laptop and while it offers excellent hardware, you need to consider if it fits your budget. The earbuds come with an in-ear design, and unlike other earbuds that feature a silicone tip, you will not be able to change the tips to adjust to your ear’s shape. The earbuds were a good fit for my ear, and I could use them comfortably. It's certainly an unconventional look that makes the second screen seem a bit excessive at first glance.But the more time I spent with the ZenBook Pro Duo, the more I found myself wishing I had a laptop with two screens. The secondary display is large enough to actually use it as a supplemental monitor. That's unlike previous concepts I've seen like <a href="https://www.razer.com/projectlinda">Razer's Project Linda</a>, which is powered by the company's Android smartphone and allows you to use the phone as a second screen. Asus' ScreenPad Plus also seems more useful than Apple's Touch Bar, since it's large enough to run apps and can be used for more than just keyboard shortcuts and controls.&#xa0;<div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div>There are a couple of ways you can use the second screen on the ZenBook Pro Duo: as a second display that can run apps separately from the primary screen or as an extension of the main screen. The first scenario seems to be the most useful, as I can imagine using the smaller ScreenPad Plus to keep an eye on my email and work chatroom while dedicating the laptop's entire screen to the projects I'm working on.Transferring apps between screens was also easy and didn't require much of a learning curve. When pressing and holding on a window on the main screen, a small toolbar pops up with icons for sending that window to the ScreenPad Plus or extending the primary display. All I had to do was simply drag the window to the corresponding symbol.&#xa0;The interface also has controls for snapping two or three windows alongside one another on the ScreenPad so that you can evenly divide the space amongst those apps, and a button for swapping the content being displayed on the two screens.&#xa0;During my time with the Pro Duo, I used the laptop in both of these ways, browsing websites in separate windows, or stretching the web browser across both displays. Regardless of whether or not the latter is the most practical way to use the Zenbook Pro Duo's second display, it still worked impressively well. The experience of scrolling through websites between the two screens was smooth and seamless, and I never noticed any stuttering or lag.&#xa0;Given its excessive screen real estate and hefty build, the Asus Zenbook Pro Duo is probably best for those who are seeking a laptop suitable for replacing their desktop PC. Presumably for this reason, the company includes a detachable palm rest in the box with the laptop as well as a stylus. During my brief time with the Pro Duo, I only had the chance to try the laptop while it was resting on a table. But I imagine using it in your lap in cramped settings, like on an airplane or while sitting in the audience at a conference, might take some getting used to considering the unusual keyboard placement.<div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div>The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is yet another sign that electronics makers are thinking about what the next iteration of the gadgets we use today will look like. Like Asus, Intel is also experimenting with dual-screened laptops as evidenced by its recently unveiled Honeycomb Glacier concept - a different take on the dual-screen laptop that elevates its two displays above the keyboard. Back in 2017, Razer unveiled a concept called <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/razer-project-valerie-photo-video-2017-6">Project Valerie</a>, which packs three displays into a single laptop. A similar shift is starting to occur in the mobile space as well, with gadget makers <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/samsung-galaxy-fold-review-2019-4">like Samsung</a> and Huawei showing off foldable devices that offer much more screen space than traditional smartphones earlier this year.&#xa0;&#xa0;It's unclear if dual-screen devices like the Zenbook Pro Duo will prove to be a hit. Pricing has yet to be announced, but there's a good chance it could be noticeably pricier than Asus' standard ZenBooks. It's success depends on whether consumers are willing to pay a premium and embrace unconventional designs to get the benefit of a laptop that packs more screen space into a relatively portable form factor. <ul><li>2019 was a good year for advertising in the mobile space. </li><li>From Idea collaborating with Mallika Dua and creating an AR based campaign, to Flipkart using VR to leverage Amitabh Bachchan's brand presence, the year saw brands investing heavily on the mobile and interactive ads.</li><li>As it expands further this year, <keyword id="4747401" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="mCanvas">mCanvas</keyword> Ads compiled a list of the top 10 interactive ads from 2019 that have set precedent for the industry. </li></ul>2019 – the year when brands stopped at nothing to engage users through creative storytelling. From prompting them to jump, blink, tilt and experience the ad in augmented and virtual reality, we’ve seen it all. Of the hundreds of campaigns we executed this year, here are the top 10 interactive mobile ads of 2019, as compiled by mCanvas: 1. Idea 4G - #IndiaKaLiveNetwork | Video Chat Bot One of the biggest milestones in 2019 was the creation of a campaign that featured a first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence (AI) – led, interactive video chat bot for Idea 4G. Using AI and Machine Learning, the ad campaign enabled users to speak to Idea’s brand ambassador and comedian, Mallika Dua, who advised them against wrongful behaviour. 2. Mercedes–Benz GLC | Voice Recognition Technolog Premium car manufacturer, Mercedes–Benz, wanted to promote its most novel feature of the car – the Mercedes-Benz User Experience or MBUX, a smart multimedia system and in-car voice activated assistant. Using speech recognition technology, the rich-media ad encouraged users to actively participate by asking the creative questions, that could also be asked to the MBUX in the car. 3. Flipkart – The Big Billion Days Sale | Virtual Reality In keeping with the cultural traditions strongly upheld in India, Flipkart, the Indian e-commerce giant, promoted its yearly sale – The Big Billion Days Sale through an interactive ad that tied in the auspiciousness of the moon, with the theme ‘Deals Ka Chand’. Utilising virtual reality (VR) and sound recognition technology, the creative prompted users to find the moon to reveal exciting offers from the sale. Further, the ad experience was extended to a microsite, which could also be shared on social platforms, and was directly promoted by Flipkart. 4. ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo | Real-Time Eye-Blink Detection ASUS aimed to promote India’s first dual-screen laptop – the ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo, in a manner that would resonate well with users. In line with the brand’s objective, the innovative mobile campaign used technology of tomorrow, to promote a product of tomorrow – the ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo. Using eye-blink detection technology, the ad prompted users to blink to reveal the product. This experience was a first-of-its-kind in the rich-media industry, creating a user experience like no other. 5. Figaro – Women’s Day | Branded Sharable Selfie Figaro’s campaign to celebrate women’s day was an absolute hit among the audience. The ad encouraged users to take a selfie, enabling them to be the face of the brand. Thereafter, the brand gathered some of these selfies and shared a collage on their social media handles, wishing women a ‘Happy Women’s Day’. The experience was sharable, wherein women could also invite their friends to experience the creative. 6. Godrej Appliances – Go Green | Colour Recognition Technology For World Environment Day, Godrej Appliances launched their ‘Go Green’ initiative with a mobile-led ad to promote their range of eco-friendly air conditioners (ACs). The ad prompted users to scan and select green objects in an augmented reality (AR). Using colour recognition technology, the ad detected these objects and revealed the ACs that not only cool the users, but also efficaciously cools the planet. 7. L'Oréal Professionnel – Parisian Cool | Offline-to-Online Experience L'Oréal’s offline-to-online marketing strategy set it apart from other mobile-based ads we’ve seen this year. To create buzz around its new hair colour trend Parisian Cool, L'Oréal unveiled a campaign that first cued users to scan a unique QR code placed across 3,000 L’Oréal Professionnel salons in the country. Using their mobile phones, users could scan the code, which would direct them to the digital experience. Users were prompted to take a personality quiz on their mobile, based on which a hair colour was suggested. 8. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance | Real-time Weather API &amp; Augmented Reality Bajaj Allianz General Insurance unveiled a highly interactive mobile-led campaign to promote its insurance policies in light of the smog crisis that plagued northern India in late 2019. Using real-time weather API and AR, the ad dynamically showcased the respective city’s name and Air Quality Index, before revealing the insurance cover. This experience in its entirety, elevated the user’s interaction with the ad, providing the brand’s insurance cover as a solution. 9. Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk Hazelnuts | Smarticle Setting interactive ads aside, another aspect of building a strong brand reputation, is through storytelling. With the desire to create awareness about its newest addition to the Silk range – Turkish Hazelnuts, Cadbury, unveiled a storytelling – styled campaign on mobile. Using mCanvas’ proprietary content solution – Smarticle, the campaign encouraged users to scroll down and press and hold on the article to highlight the history of the chocolate as an interactive story. 10. Bira 91 – ICC World Cup | Real-time API Bira 91, one of the most popular beer brands in the country, also unveiled a dynamic ad to promote its six-pack beer during the largest cricketing event in the world - the ICC World Cup. Using real-time API technology, when a super six was scored, the ad dynamically featured the current score, along with an animation of a ball being hit for 6 out of the stadium. Alternatively, when a perfect delivery was made, the ad creative prompted users to tilt their phone forward, to take a wicket. 2019 has been a good year for advertising in the mobile space.
