The T-Rex 2 promises to be a durable watch, packing in a wide range of features, but one of the highlights is the larger display compared to its predecessor, the T-Rex Pro. It boasts 10 ATM water resistance and can survive in extreme temperatures, making it a good companion even in tough terrains. This seems like a lot for a smartwatch that costs ₹15,999, but relying only on on-paper features and specs is not enough, so I put the T-Rex 2 to test over the past few days. There were no GPS dropouts during my testing, so you don’t have to worry about an inaccurate workout route. If you are worried about your sleep patterns and are hoping for more information about them. One of the main things you need to consider while purchasing a smartwatch is its battery life. The T-Rex 2 is equipped with a 500mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 24 days of battery life with typical usage and up to 45 days on battery saver mode. During my testing, I turned on features such as raise to wake and changed the frequency of heart rate monitoring to 1 minute. With several notifications and regular workouts, the watch delivered a battery life of over two weeks, which I found to be quite excellent. The watch comes with a charger with magnetic pins that takes around 2 hours to fully charge the watch. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Zepp app" comment="subhead" text="Zepp app">Zepp app</cmsannotation> Zepp is the companion app that you will need to install to sync your data and manage the watch. It is available for both Android and iOS devices. The watch comes out on top in terms of the display, battery life, accuracy and is even comfortable to wear for extended duration. At the end of the day, it boils down to whether you are looking for something with a sporty design. The watch does have issues such as the bulky design, lack of support for third-party apps, and absence of storage. If you are in the market for a rugged smartwatch with excellent battery life, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 is an excellent option. It’s one of the very few options in the Android tablet market for consumers and it’s one that definitely is value for money. Other than the fact it is Realme’s first tablet, there isn’t anything outstanding about the tablet. It’s got the usual Android tablet bearings for its prices like a large display, good speakers, big battery and decent cameras. But that doesn’t make the Realme Pad boring or one to pass over. Overall it’s light and slim and feels good on the hands but a case will give a better grip on the tablet. The Realme Pad has a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ display with thick bezels on all sides. The display is bright with good contrast. The brightness is also quite adequate for outdoors so you won’t find yourself squinting to see what’s on the screen. You still have the suite of Google apps pre-installed and plastered on the home screen which you can customise according to your preference. But there are some limitations though that might disappoint some people. These include no customisation options for the theme, colours, and app icon size. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> Gaming on a tablet by nature doesn’t feel great but for those interested, we did try out a few games on the Realme Pad. We played Genshin Impact which has beautiful graphics. You can play the game but with the graphics in the lowest settings. This mostly consists of watching a lot of videos, playing games and using social media apps. It also comes with an 18W charger but the tablet takes almost three hours to fully charge. That’s why this tablet is an entertainment treat with a large bright screen, long battery life and great speakers. It also has Widevine L1 support so you can watch Netflix in HD. The app is however not optimised for tablets so the user experience isn’t great. While this doesn’t affect your watching experience it is annoying to see that the app doesn’t make use of the entire screen. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Cameras" comment="subhead" text="Cameras">Cameras</cmsannotation> The Realme Pad has 8-megapixel rear and front cameras. The selfie camera is placed on the side so you’ll have to hold the tablet horizontally to use it. The camera app on the Realme Pad is very simple with nothing much to play around with. But it does have an expert mode that lets you adjust some settings like the ISO. The 8-megapixel camera takes some average looking shots but don’t expect exceptional results from the camera. The selfie camera was surprisingly good though, especially for its wide-angle view. The selfie shots won’t come out great but the wide-angle photos do appear decent enough. And it’s quite useful for video calls which can be helpful for both students and working professionals, and maybe that’s why the company has used a decent sensor. The Realme Pad also has face unlock which works even when the tablet is in portrait mode given the camera placement. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Realme Pad is a no-frills Android tablet that delivers on what it promises. It has decent all-round performance and gets its basics right when it comes to the battery life, display and user experience. The company has now added another name to its GT series — <keyword id="12262077" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="realme-gt-neo-2-5g" source="Orion">Realme GT Neo 2 5G</keyword>. This mid-range device is touted as the flagship killer for its performance at a lower price. The smartphone is powered by one of Qualcomm’s most efficient chipsets, Snapdragon 870. In India, it adds to Realme's GT series that includes the recently launched <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/mobile/news/realme-gt-5g-mobile-phone-review/articleshow/85478447.cms">Realme GT 5G</a> and Realme GT Master Edition. In this review, we will see what the device has to offer in terms of design, display, performance, battery life and does it make for an alluring option for its price. We will also compare some of its specifications to its competitors like Xiaomi Mi 11X 5G, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/mobile/news/samsung-galaxy-m52-5g-review-sleek-design-top-notch-display-and-big-battery/articleshow/86864954.cms">Samsung Galaxy M52</a> 5G and iQOO 7 and see what’s better here and what’s missing. The review unit we received is the 12GB/256GB variant in Neo Black colour. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Design" comment="subhead" text="Design">Design</cmsannotation> The phone features a polycarbonate back with a smooth matte finish. It reflects dual shades when light falls on it. The back is claimed to be scratch resistant and which seems true as of writing this review, but it does catch fingerprints easily. Even though the body is plastic, it looks quite premium and feels exquisite to touch. <div type="image" title="Back (1)" msid="86997219" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The back of the phone looks premium. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The camera bump with triple sensors is accommodated at the top left side of the back and a Realme branding in silver colour is placed below it. In the front, it houses a selfie camera in a punch-hole cut out at the top left side of the screen and at the bottom centre, we have the in-display fingerprint scanner, which wasn’t as responsive as it should be in 2021. The phone also comes with a face unlock feature which is very swift. <div type="image" title="Bottom (1)" msid="86997281" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;We do not have the 3.5mm audio jack with this phone.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The Realme GT Neo 2 accommodates the dual SIM tray like most phones of its segment, along with the USB Type-C port and one of the dual stereo speakers. The dual speakers come with Dolby Atmos support and deliver loud and clear audio. <div type="image" title="SIM tray" msid="86997349" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;One drawback of the design is the lack of additional storage option in the SIM tray or elsewhere.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The power button is on the right side of the phone while the volume buttons are on the left. In the box, you also get an opaque back cover that can help prevent damage from falls and catching fingerprints on the back. Overall, the body feels bulky, having recently finished using the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G, but the weight of the phone is balanced and single-handed usage is possible. One drawback of the design is the lack of additional storage option as it doesn’t support MicroSD cards in the SIM tray or elsewhere. It doesn’t feature the 3.5mm audio jack, but that is for most phones in this price segment. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Display" comment="subhead" text="Display">Display</cmsannotation> It has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.6%. The display has relatively thin bezels except for the chin. It offers a high 120Hz refresh rate which makes the scrolling and gaming experience smooth. The refresh rate can be lowered down to the standard 60Hz or adaptive refresh rate that automatically selects the best refresh rate for a particular application. <div type="image" title="Main Image" msid="86997487" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The display supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>Using the phone under sunlight is not a hassle as it offers 1300 nits of peak brightness and it shows. The phone comes with HDR10+ support for videos and offers finer picture quality with high contrast and better details. The colours look boosted with more depth while viewing high-resolution videos. <div type="image" title="Display" msid="86997533" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The colours look boosted with more depth while viewing high-resolution videos.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>It comes with a 600Hz touch sampling rate, which is to ensure the screen responds more naturally to your touches. Although it’s very hard to tell the difference if you have used recent flagship phones, it is noticeable if you switch from a phone with a lower touch sampling rate. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> The GT Neo 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is the same as found on its competitors Xiaomi Mi 11X and iQOO 7 while the Samsung Galaxy M52 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. The phone offers 5G support that makes it ready to be used when 5G rolls out in India. The performance is consistent across various applications and the system. I did not notice any lags while switching between applications or loading them. As I mentioned in the design, the fingerprint sensor is not at par with today’s standards in terms of speed and accuracy. We hope this would be fixed soon via OTA update. The GT Neo 2 comes with a thermal management system that is supposed to improve heat dissipation and lower the heating from resource-intensive applications. However, I did notice slight heating after 45 minutes to an hour of gaming. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Gaming" comment="subhead" text="Gaming">Gaming</cmsannotation> The phone can handle heavy games like Asphalt 9 and Playgrounds Mobile India effortlessly even at the highest graphic settings. Its vivid display with a high-performance chipset makes gaming an enjoyable experience. <div type="image" title="Gaming" msid="86997584" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The phone could handle heavy games like Asphalt 9 effortlessly.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>It has a GT mode for g that is supposed to enhance the gaming performance by boosting the CPU performance, setting the refresh rate to maximum and increasing the touch sampling rate, but we did not notice noticeable improvements while gaming. The heating can be an issue if you like to play for long hours. For others, the overall gaming experience was very fluid and can be easily recommended. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Battery" comment="subhead" text="Battery">Battery</cmsannotation> It features a 5,000mAh battery, which is the same as that found in Samsung Galaxy M52 and larger than its other competitors. The screen on time isn’t as much as I could get on the Galaxy M52. Here, I get about 6-7 hours of screen time with mixed usage that includes gaming and watching video content. But to compensate for a mediocre battery life it offers charging speeds that are quite commendable with its 65W SuperDart charger. Realme claims to fully charge the phone in 36 minutes and when I tested it, it went from 5% to 100% in exactly 42minutes, which is quite impressive. Realme always bags an extra point for its charging technology, and it’s actually a useful addition for any user. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Camera" comment="subhead" text="Camera">Camera</cmsannotation> The phone comes with a triple-camera set-up at the back with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The other two sensors include an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. In the front, we have a 16MP selfie camera. <div type="image" title="Rear Camera (5)" msid="86997616" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;A triple camera set-up with 64MP primary sensor.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The 64MP resolution it offers with the primary sensor is higher than the 48MP sensor on the iQoo 7 and Mi 11X. The Galaxy M52 has the best camera features overall with a 64MP rear camera lens and a 32MP front camera sensor. <div type="image" title="Main Image 2" msid="86997666" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Image taken with main camera lens.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>Talking about the rear camera performance, it is at par with the competitors, but not as good as the Nord 2, especially in daylight. In the daylight, the photos look very sharp and the colours have depth in them. They have a high dynamic range, especially when the photos are clicked with objects having high contrast. The white-balance is good in outdoor lighting, but the exposure may be inconsistent at times especially when you try to click a moving object. <div type="image" title="Main Camera Image" msid="86997693" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Another image taken with the primary sensor in photo mode. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>Images clicked using the ultra-wide lens in daylight look decent until you zoom in when it starts to appear grainy. Pictures clicked using the macro mode are out of focus. When I tried clicking images of a flower from a close range in the macro hoping to get a clear close up of the petal, the results came out blurry even after giving it multiple tries. <div type="image" title="Wide Angle" msid="86997732" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Image taken using ultra-wide lens.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>At night, the performance of the camera diminishes significantly, especially in areas with fewer light sources. However, with Night mode you could capture some more light and colours. The videos that I took appear highly saturated and the phone could also pick the audio with great clarity. However, the phone does not come with optical image stabilisation and it may capture shaky footage or you have to hold your phone steadily. As for the modes, you can click images with the normal photo mode, Bokeh mode, 64-megapixel for clicking high-resolution images, starry mode, pro-mode, panorama, ultra macro and street mode. The videos can be recorded in the normal video mode, slo-mo, movie mode for experts and a dual video mode that captures footage using both the front and back camera. <div type="image" title="Front Camera (4)" msid="86997800" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;16MP selfie camera.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>As for the performance of the front camera, the pictures I clicked did have some artificial enhancement, but the colour reproduction is close to natural and it did not make me look fairer or darker. You can shoot videos using the front camera in both 1080p and 720p resolutions. The front camera can also be used in the night mode and the portrait mode. The camera app was very responsive and the loading time was very less. I did not face any hiccups while switching the camera or swapping between various modes. The camera performance is good enough for anyone who likes to take occasional photos and can work with something that clicks social media worthy pictures. Unlike some of its features, it is far from what flagship devices from Samsung, Apple or even OnePlus have to offer. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Software" comment="subhead" text="Software">Software</cmsannotation> It comes with Realme UI version 2.0 running on Android 11. The UI looks clean with plenty of options to customise your display, such as changing the layout, wallpapers, icons and more. It allows you to switch to eye-comfort mode to prevent the straining of eyes while reading. Along with it, you can also operate your phone in dark mode. There is an option to enhance the colour of videos and sharpen the images by switching on the O1 Ultra Vision Engine. It also comes with plenty of bloatware applications such as Moj, Daily Hunt, Josh, Soloop and others. It has plenty of apps pre-installed including Amazon, Prime Videos, Amazon Music. However, you can delete most of the unwanted apps except for the systems applications such as clock, calculator, compass, HeyTap Cloud and others. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Realme GT Neo 2 provides excellent performance at the cost of low battery life. But it compensates for that with a fast charger. The camera is just mediocre, but the display is highly responsive and works well for most use cases. When compared to its competitors, it offers similar specifications and features at a slightly higher price. It can be considered for a high-performance chipset, its dual stereo speakers and the 65W fast-charging support. But if you are looking for a sleeker device, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G can a good choice for its lightweight design, additional storage option, better battery life and slightly lower price, however, you should note that its chipset is not as powerful as we have it on the Realme GT Neo 2, or the iQoo 7 or the Mi 11X. Building up on its already popular mid-range series, the company recently launched the <keyword id="12115884" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="galaxy-m52-5g" source="Orion">Galaxy M52 5G</keyword> and is marketing it as the leanest and the meanest device. In this review, we will find out whether the claims about the phone are true or just marketing fluff. We will also compare some of its specifications to its predecessor, Galaxy M51. This review talks about the design, display, performance, camera and our final verdict. Let’s dive in to find out everything about the Galaxy M52 5G. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Pricing" comment="subhead" text="Pricing">Pricing</cmsannotation> The Galaxy M52 comes in two variants — 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants. The 6GB RAM variant is priced at ₹29,999 while the 8GB RAM variant will retail at ₹31,999. The phones are available in two colours — Icy Blue and Blazing Black. The unit we are reviewing is in Blazing Black colour variant and is equipped with 8GB RAM+128GB storage. Samsung is also offering introductory prices of ₹26999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and ₹28999 for the 8GB+128GB during the Amazon Great Indian Festival. However, this offer is for a limited period only. So if you are looking to bring home the Galaxy M52 5G, take advantage of the deal. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Design" comment="subhead" text="Design">Design</cmsannotation> The phone features a polycarbonate body, with a glossy finish. On its black back, it has a striped design featuring silver vertical stripes. Even though the back and sides are made of plastic, the phone still feels very premium to hold. While it claims to be the “leanest” Samsung M-series phone, with its slim profile and a thickness of just 7.4mm, it isn’t the leanest device as Mi 11X lite is only 6.81mm thick. It feels lightweight in the hands weighing just 173g, however, the Mi 11X Lite only weighs 159g. The rear camera bump is protruding off the body and is placed on the left side of the back. It houses a triple camera setup, unlike its predecessor which has a quad-camera set-up. On the front, we have the 32 MP front camera that is accommodated in a punch-hole type cut out at the top of the display. The bezels around the display are fairly thin. On the right side, we have the volume buttons at the top and the power button just below it. This makes you take screenshots using two hands since you have to click the volume down and power button simultaneously and both are on the same side. The power button also houses the fingerprint scanner which is very snappy. The phone also has a face-recognition sensor, but it isn’t as responsive as the fingerprint scanner. <div type="image" title="Volume Rocker" msid="86866857" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The volume buttons and the power button are on the right side.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>On the left side we have the SIM tray that has a hybrid design meaning you can either have two SIM cards or one SIM and one MicroSD card for additional storage. At the bottom, it features the USB Type-C port for charging and single bottom-firing speakers. The audio isn’t very loud from the speakers that do not offer stereo support and you will need headphones or speakers to enjoy content, which is anyway recommended if you want the best experience. So it’s not a deal breaker. <div type="image" title="Bottom" msid="86866911" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The Galaxy M52 5G does not have the 3.5mm audio jack.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>One of the biggest drawbacks of this phone is the absence of a 3.5mm audio jack. While I have moved on to wireless headphones, I still like using my wired earphones when the other ones are charging. And not being able to connect them to this Galaxy M52 device is annoying at times. Interestingly, its predecessor, the Galaxy M51, did feature the 3.5mm audio jack. Again, it might not be an issue for many users, but if for you it is, then you can look at Realme X7 Max 5G in the same price range. Overall, the phone feels good in the hands and single-handle operation is comfortable. The phone is sleek and is lightweight, but the back does catch fingerprints and using a back cover is recommended. Design-wise, the only negatives would be its audio features; lack of 3.5mm jack and poor sound quality from the speakers. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Display" comment="subhead" text="Display">Display</cmsannotation> The display is one of its superior features. It is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ sAMOLED+ Infinity-O display that comes with a <keyword id="8793349" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="120hz-refresh-rate" source="Orion">120Hz refresh rate</keyword>. The refresh rate can be set to standard 60Hz by going to Settings &gt; Display and tapping motion smoothness. With 120Hz refresh rate, it offers smooth scrolling and transitions. The AMOLED display supports up to 1080 x 2400 (FHD+) resolution and delivers beautiful vivid picture quality by default. You get deeper blacks and high contrast, making the pictures look lively, and it can be adjusted by tweaking the screen mode to “Vivid” from “Natural” in Settings. <div type="image" title="Display Image" msid="86866947" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The AMOLED display supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>Reading e-books and viewing your favourite video content should be pleasing on this display. I am having a good time with this phone’s display as I can catch the daily news with the Eye comfort shield that filters the blue light and reduces strain on eyes. Watching videos on YouTube and OTT platforms is truly an amazing experience given the picture clarity and sharpness. Even while playing games, the display offers clarity and with its 120Hz refresh rate the experience is quite smooth. It was easy to spot opponents in battle royale games and first person shooter games in general. The picture quality and the clarity of the display delivers an enjoyable gaming experience. The Galaxy M52 5G’s has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the display that should offer some amount of protection from scratches and accidental drops. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> The Galaxy M52 5G is powered by a competent mid-range processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. It offers consistent performance across the system and applications. The apps load in no time, and I did not experience any lag while switching between them or searching for them. I found the performance of the phone to be exceptionally good while gaming or streaming content from OTT platforms. <div type="image" title="Back" msid="86867052" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>I encountered an issue where the M52 did struggle a bit. While all the devices in my room had no issues connecting to my 5GHz WiFi connection, the M52 did show sign of poor connectivity, which was due to the range as it improved as I moved closer to the router. Samsung and other smartphone makers are now providing 5G support to mid-range and budget smartphones, and with this Galaxy M52, you get support for 11 bands of 5G. However, 5G is yet to roll out in India and you will not be able to use this feature any time soon in the country. The 5G support makes it future proof and also allows you to use the feature when you travel to a country that supports the 5G network. Gaming I tried games like Asphalt 9 and Battlegrounds Mobile India, and the performance of the phone was quite incredible. Both the fast chipset and good quality display combine to offer crisp and vibrant graphics that help in gaming. There was no lag or frame drop instance while playing any of these highly demanding games. It did get warm but I did not experience abnormal heating after playing for 45 minutes to an hour. It may heat up if played for longer but I cannot be certain since I did not test it yet. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Battery" comment="subhead" text="Battery">Battery</cmsannotation> There is a significant drop in battery capacity from its predecessor. The Galaxy M51 was equipped with a gigantic 7,000mAh battery while this Galaxy M52 comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which is still massive. However, this is quite impressive for this device since its thickness is claimed to be reduced by 21%. In terms of performance, the battery life is impressive as it gave me over 9 hours of screen time with mixed usage including light gaming, streaming and web-browsing. The phone comes with a 15W charger in the box, which takes about two hours to recharge the battery fully from under 10% charge. Nevertheless, the phone is compatible with a 25W Samsung charger that should improve the charging time significantly. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Camera" comment="subhead" text="Camera">Camera</cmsannotation> Interestingly, Samsung has reduced the number of camera sensors on this Galaxy M52 compared to its predecessor. The rear camera module features a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP Macro sensor. The 5MP depth sensor that was available on its predecessor, Galaxy M51, is missing on this device. <div type="image" title="Rear Camera" msid="86867077" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The rear camera module features a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP Macro sensor. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The camera offers fairly accurate daylight performance with the primary sensor. The pictures have high dynamic range, sharp focus and clarity. The ultra-wide lens also captures a large field of view and delivers decent performance during the day. The macro sensor is just a mediocre addition to the camera module, as the performance is below par when compared to the other two sensors. <div type="image" title="Main Camera" msid="86867164" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Image taken normal photo mode in day light. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> <div type="image" title="Wide Angle Image" msid="86867234" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Ultra-wide image in day light.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>At night, the primary sensor produces grainy results with normal photo mode, but there is a significant improvement in the results when the camera is operated in Night mode. More light and colour is captured in the Night mode than the regular photo mode. The ultra-wide lens’ performance is ordinary in low-lit areas. <div type="image" title="Night Mode" msid="86867176" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Image taken in Night mode.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>In the front, you have a 32MP front camera that can click sharp selfies. The phone doesn’t come with optical image stabilisation and the output can come out shaking at times if the phone is not held stably. For better results., using a tripod while shooting videos is recommended. The colour reproduction during the day was very accurate, while at night, the colours were faded, which is a common issue in smartphone cameras. <div type="image" title="Wide Angle Night mode" msid="86867189" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Ultra-wide in Night mode&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>You can shoot videos with the front camera in the same resolutions and frame rates as that with the rear camera. I shot videos in 4K 30fps mode, and the footage captured details however the output becomes grainy when you zoom in. I did not face any glitches while video calling using the front camera. <div type="image" title="Macro Mode" msid="86867213" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Image taken in Macro mode &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>As for the modes, the camera has a Photo mode where you can use the primary sensor to click images without zooming in or adjusting to a large field of view. Using the same mode, you click images with an ultra-wide sensor and digitally zoom up to 10x. Then we have the video mode to record footage. There is a Single Take mode that can capture a moment in various ways including, a panoramic view, regular view and a video. The Fun mode is integrated with Snapchat filters and allows you to click images with funny backgrounds and virtual props. To explore other modes, you will have to click on More, where you can access Pro Mode, to set the auto-focus, white balance, ISO, aperture and other settings to click pictures like a professional. Other modes here include macro, portrait, hyperlapse, slow motion video and panorama. The camera app is very responsive when you open it. Switch between modes is also smooth and the camera loading time after clicking an image or recording a video is remarkably low. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Software" comment="subhead" text="Software">Software</cmsannotation> The Galaxy M52 5G comes with Samsung One UI 3.1 running on Android 11. The UI is very clean and offers plenty of customisation options. You can choose from plenty of widgets that can be added to your home screen. There are plenty of themes and wallpapers options that users can use to personalise the phone. Users can also change the layout of how apps will appear and how many apps will appear in each line. The phone comes with pre-installed applications that are both native and third-party apps like Moj, Daily Hunt, Byjus, Josh, Amazon and others. While you can delete most unwanted applications, you will not be able to delete system apps like the Clock, Calculator, Gallery and others that are needed for the smooth functioning of its software. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has seen a major upgrade from its predecessor. The display, performance and camera are all above-average. The phone does lack some places such as the missing 3.5mm jack, no stereo speakers for audio and mediocre macro lens. Most of these are not a deal breaker for many. So overall it's a fairly good deal for the price and it gets better if you can get it during a sale. However, you should note that there are plenty of other options from its competitors, such as the OnePlus Nord 2 , Mi 11X and Realme X7 Max . While the OnePlus Nord 2 and the Realme X7 Max have the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, the Mi 11X has the Snapdragon 870 which are slightly more efficient than the Snapdragon 778G chipset used in the Galaxy M52, the battery life is better on M52, it's the lightest among its competitors and also offers same, if not better, camera performance than its competitors.
