Ashneer Grover, who was sacked along with his wife Madhuri Jain Grover by fintech platform BharatPe over alleged financial irregularities, has slammed the Reserve Bank of India (<keyword id="30067" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rbi" source="Orion">RBI</keyword>) over its latest directive to non-bank prepaid payment instruments to stop loading credit lines onto their products. In a tweet, Grover said that "not allowing loading of pre-paid instruments through credit is aimed at protecting bank's lazy credit card business from Fintech's potent BNPL (buy now pay later) business". "It's a flex move by banks -- rent seeking. But market is market and regulation will eventually come around to what market needs," he added. The RBI, in its latest one-page circular, has disallowed non-bank PPIs from loading credit, and several such startups and firms have already stopped customers' transactions on their prepaid cards to avoid penalty. The banking PPIs include HDFC Flexipay, ICICI PayLater, HDFC Payzapp, SBI YONO and others, along with several UPI-driven platforms like Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay and Amazon Pay, etc. "The PPI-MD (PPI-master direction) does not permit loading of PPIs from credit lines. Such practice, if followed, should be stopped immediately. Any non-compliance in this regard may attract penal action under provisions contained in the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007," according to the RBI directive. Grover is reportedly in talks with US-based private equity companies to raise up to $300 million for a new startup. "Today I turn 40. New Delhi, <keyword id="10387" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="microsoft" source="Orion">Microsoft</keyword> is adding "AI-generated <keyword id="6399193" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="stories" source="Orion">stories</keyword>" for some user searches on its <keyword id="44127" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="bing" source="Orion">Bing</keyword> search engine, as it adds more GPT-driven features to its products. According to the company, Bing will now craft AI-generated stories that provide you with multiple ways to consume "bite-sized information through text, images, video, and audio". "Stories are perfect for visual and auditory learners, and they are available to all Bing users in English, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Polish and Arabic," said Microsoft. The stories are similar to the ones you will see on social media platforms like Instagram or <keyword id="6358096" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="snapchat" source="Orion">Snapchat</keyword>. The company is also upgrading its 'Knowledge Cards' that appear on the right-hand side of the Bing search results page. These are designed to help users explore topics that interest them with facts, image-based timelines, polls, actions, and related topics. "We've expanded the richness and breadth of knowledge cards supported by Bing using generative AI," said the company. Additionally, the company has addressed some known issues with Bing chat, including making it easier for users to copy chat text from the Bing mobile app on iOS. It is improving voice detection in the Bing mobile app so messages aren't sent before users are done speaking. "We are fixing cases where Bing search queries would inadvertently trigger a chat with the same query when you scroll up," said the Microsoft team. Microsoft adds 'AI-generated stories' to its Bing search

Pre-orders of the new headset will begin on PlayStation Direct from November 15 in the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The key features of the PS VR2 Sense Technology includes eye tracking, 3D audio, and adaptive triggers and haptic feedback from the headset's Sense controllers which provides a unique gameplay experience. Additionally, the new headset features 4000 x 2040Ahigh dynamic range (HDR) video format (2000 x 2040 per eye), which will provide next-generation gaming experience to the players. "We've created the PS VR2 headset with comfort in mind, in a slightly slimmer and lighter design compared to our previous headset," the tech giant said in a blogpost. "We're expecting more than 20 titles at launch," it added. For a more customised feel, the VR2 also includes an integrated vent for extra air flow and a lens adjustment dial. Earlier, Sony had also announced that it will launch the DualSense Edge wireless controller, the first-ever ultra-customisable controller developed by PlayStation, globally on January 26, 2023. It will be available for a price of $199.99 The controller would offer a host of hardware and software-based personalisation options, including button remapping, the ability to fine-tune stick sensitivity and triggers, options to swap between multiple control profiles, and a unique on-controller user interface, the company said.
