In the same quarter last year, it posted a net loss of ₹360 crore. In the third quarter, its net loss was at ₹345 crore. The company reported consolidated revenue at ₹2,056 crore, a 70% jump from ₹1,212 crore in the year-ago period. In FY23, Zomato's loss shrunk to ₹971 crore as compared to ₹1,209 crore in FY22. Its annual revenues also increased around 70% to ₹7,079 crore in FY23. "In food delivery, over the last five quarters, we have improved our margins meaningfully while further strengthening our market position. We will continue with the same mindset as we look to further expand the adjusted EBITDA margin (from the current 1.2%) to our stated goal of +4-5% of gross order value," said Deepinder Goyal, Zomato Founder and CEO. Meanwhile, Zomato's arch rival Swiggy declared on Thursday that its food delivery business has become profitable, without giving any more details. Zomato now aims to get to positive adjusted EBITDA (and also profit after tax) on a consolidated basis (including quick commerce) within the next four quarters. "On the quick commerce side, while there is still a long way to go in terms of margin improvement, we are pleased with the outcomes so far in a short period of time. For example, AOVs will go down when there is a good harvest of vegetables (which leads to lower prices for F&amp;V)," said Blinkit founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa. "Over time, as we get scale, we hope to be able to predict such swings better and mitigate the impact of these swings on our margins. Dallas was driving deep into Patriots territory with a chance to tie the game but was facing fourth-and-7 from the New England 11-yard line.Rather than taking a shot at the first down or game-tying score, Garrett elected to go for a field goal, bringing the Cowboys within four points and giving the ball back to the Patriots.If the kick had brought the Cowboys within a field goal, Garrett's decision might have been more defensible. However, since Dallas still needed a touchdown to get back into the game, a kick falls somewhere between overly cautious and coaching malpractice depending on your faith in advanced metrics."Just to give us a chance coming back the other way, fourth-and-7, you know, make it a four-point game," Garrett <a href="https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/garrett-explains-decision-to-kick-late-fg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said after the game</a>. "They go ahead and kick a field goal coming back, you still have a chance to be in the game. We would get it back with just under three, with a chance to go win it. So just felt good about that decision at that time."After cutting the Patriots lead to 13-9, the Cowboys would get one more shot to win the game in the final minutes, failing to convert a fourth-and-11 from their 25-yard line to give the ball back to New England and end the game.On Twitter, fans mocked Garrett's poor judgment.ESPN's Stephen A. The difference between recommendations and predictions - and why it matters for marketers

<div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image">TwitterA Canadian porn actress</div></div>Canada's broadcasting regulator wants to see more locally-made porn on Canadian television, judging by a notice on its website that accuses three channels of failing to meet licensing requirements.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) said three Toronto-based adult channels have failed to provide a minimum of 35 percent Canadian content.
The rules require a portion of programming to be at least partly written, produced or presented by persons in Canada, in order to bolster the local industry and showcase Canadian content.
A hearing has been scheduled for April 28 to decide whether the broadcasting licenses of AOV Adult Movie Channel, XXX Action Clips and Maleflixxx should be renewed.
The permits are set to expire at the end of August.
CRTC spokeswoman Patricia Valladao told AFP they will be asked to justify a renewal of the licenses, adding that "the CRTC has tried several times to bring the company into compliance."
The networks' parent company Channel Zero did not immediately responded to requests for comment.
But others have not been shy to speak out.
The daily National Post satirically lamented the Canadian porn industry's "reluctance to tackle distinctively Canadian issues."
And the tabloid Toronto Sun hailed the CRTC's call for more "naughty Newfoundlanders and Manitoba MILFs."
But the Globe and Mail disagreed, saying: "Unlike sitcoms or dramas, which are potentially filled with meaning that contributes to a social conversation, porn is a generic product whose national origins are as unimportant as those of... a vibrator."
But the newspaper conceded that "a porn shoot hires lighting technicians and camera operators just like any other TV production and, hey, jobs are jobs."
The CRTC also chided the channels for not providing enough closed-captioning and for not alerting the regulator of a change in ownership.
