Nepals Ministry of Culture, <keyword id="20048" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="tourism">Tourism</keyword> and Civil Aviation has put a ban on taking and circulating pictures, videos and filming of <keyword id="10904473" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="other-climbers">other climbers</keyword> or members of expedition teams on Mt Everest other than of oneself starting this season. Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the <keyword id="254034" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="department-of-tourism">Department of Tourism</keyword> put the ban, saying that each climber can take, share and make images and videos of their group or of oneself but they will face action if they take, make and share photos of other climbers without the department's consent. In the wake of a picture that went viral on May 20i9 about the "traffic jam" on Mt Everest taken by one record holder climber, Nirmal Purja, Nepali officials have been facing other similar kinds of criticism by the international media over threat to the <keyword id="6426894" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Himalayan">Himalayan</keyword> eco-system. The mountaineering community and some international media have criticized the hollow management of the Nepal government in managing the expedition on Mt Everest after the photo, "traffic jam in Everest" went viral. Later, several other climbers took pictures of other climbers, filming at the top of Mt Everest and circulated them on the Internet. Officials said some other attempts were made to defame Mt Everest's tourism management by circulating the pictures like piling of garbage at <keyword id="1061461" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Everest-base-camp">Everest base camp</keyword>, an avalanche in Everest during the earthquake in 2015. "Such activities have given negative publicity about the Everest so we decided to put a ban on taking pictures, movie and filming in the Everest by others," Mira Acharya, an official at Nepal's Tourism Department told the Nepali media, "to stop these kinds of negative publicity, we have come up with the new guideline that includes <keyword id="10904474" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="other-mountains">other mountains</keyword> in the country as well". Nepal has eight mountains whose heights are higher than 8,000 metres and Nepal witnesses a huge rush of mountaineers during the climbing season that generally falls in mid-May. Similarly, the new guideline also stated that any climber should have appropriate medical and health conditions for climbing the mountains. In the past, due to some climbers, who did not have the appropriate health and medical conditions to climb the mountains, emergency rescue operations had to be mounted. "We honour the personal freedom of climbers but that does not mean they can post images and videos of others without their consent. Either through commercial cameras or mobile sets, all such activities have been banned," Acharya told the Nepali media here. If anyone intends to disseminate still photographs and videos of people, avalanches and even dead bodies on the mountain among other things, they must secure consent from the Department of Tourism, the government agency that issues Everest climbing permits, the <keyword id="18568" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="kathmandu">Kathmandu</keyword> Post quoted the official. According to Ang Tsering Sherpa, former president of Nepal Mountaineering Association, though, it would not be possible to prevent the dissemination of videos or photos taken on Everest because millennials stand out for their use of technology, and even the older generation has embraced digital life. The 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations have a total of 114 billionaires, while Taiwan has 45, South Korea 28, and Japan 27. Emerging countries are now producing more billionaires than Europe and the US managed in the 19th and 20th centuries because of advances in communication technologies and globalisation. Meanwhile, Asian billionaires are facing some adverse effects such as stock price falls and the dollar's appreciation. While the number of people in the Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires List dropped by 245 in about six months, Asians accounted for 126 of them, compared with 27 North Americans, said the report. In India, world's second richest person, 60-year-old Gautam Adani, leads the country's rich list with wealth of Rs 10,94,400 crore, as per the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2022. Adani ranks second after Tesla CEO, Elon Musk who has net worth of Rs 12.37 lakh crore. Adani topped the list by adding Rs 1,600 crore per day over the last year. "App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14 does not require Facebook to change its approach to tracking users and creating targeted advertising, it simply requires they give users a choice". Apple has brought out a new online guide called "A Day in the Life of Your Data" to further bolster its push for the new measures. Apple says the average mobile app has six trackers that share your data with other apps, and that data brokers regularly collect and sell, license, or otherwise disclose to third parties the personal information of particular individuals with whom they do not have a direct relationship. "Over the past decade, a large and opaque industry has been amassing increasing amounts of personal data," the guide reads. "A complex ecosystem of websites, apps, social media companies, data brokers, and ad tech firms track users online and offline, harvesting their personal data. Apple to launch its 'strict' new privacy feature in next iOS 14 beta

The dominance of the brand across the nation is evident from the results from Brand Finance's original market research, said the report. "Jio scores highest in all metrics -- consideration conversion, reputation, recommendation, word of mouth, innovation, customer service and value for money -- compared to its telecom competitors in India," it said. The brand has no major weaknesses within the sector, and unlike <keyword id="10665491" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="other-telecoms-brands">other telecoms brands</keyword> globally, Jio has shown that it has broken the mould, and enjoys genuine affection from consumers, the Brand Finance report added. Candidates belonging to non-creamy layer and seeking <keyword id="6361164" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="reservation">reservation</keyword> in central government posts and services will not be required to submit multiple certificates. 
 Instead, job seekers belonging to <keyword id="149007" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Other-Backward-Class">Other Backward Class</keyword> (OBC) will now have to provide self-attested photocopy of such documents. 
 
Presently, candidates seeking reservation in central government posts and services are required to submit a certificate confirming his or her status and also produce non-creamy layer status certificate. 
 
"The appointing authorities would accept production of self-attested photo copy of the non-creamy layer certificate, subject to verification of the original non-creamy layer certificate, as is the practice being followed for verification of other original documents," the Personnel Ministry has proposed. 
 
The non-creamy layer certificate would be applicable to OBC candidates who are covered under income or wealth test criterion. The income limit is decided on the basis of income earned during three previous financial years preceding the year of appointment, the Personnel Ministry has said.

The United States will share 20 million more COVID-19 vaccine doses with <keyword id="2386915" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="other-countries">other countries</keyword>, taking the total number of such shots to 80 million, President <keyword id="99719" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Joe-Biden">Joe Biden</keyword> said on Monday. "Over the next six weeks, the United States of America will send 80 million doses overseas. That represents 13 per cent of the <keyword id="79555" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vaccines">vaccines</keyword> produced by the US by the end of June. This will be more vaccine doses than any country has actually shared to date, five times more than any other country. More than Russia and China, which have donated 15 million doses," Biden told reporters at a news conference here. "There's a lot of talk about Russia and China influencing the world with vaccines. We want to lead the world with this demonstration of our innovation, ingenuity, and the fundamental decency of the American people. Just as in World War II, America was the arsenal of democracy, in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, our nation is going to be the arsenal of vaccines for the rest of the world. We'll share these vaccines in the service of ending the pandemic everywhere," he said. "We will not use our vaccines to secure favours from other countries," Biden said as he announced that in addition to the 60 million <keyword id="6409874" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="astrazeneca">AstraZeneca</keyword> vaccines, the US will give another 20 million COVID-19 approved vaccines. "In March, we shared over four million doses of our AstraZeneca vaccine with Canada and Mexico. At the end of April, we announced that we would provide another 60 million doses of our AstraZeneca vaccine overseas," he said. AstraZeneca vaccine has not been authorized for use in the US yet, and it is awaiting safely clearance by the <keyword id="6356255" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="us-food-and-drug-administration">US Food and Drug Administration</keyword>. "And today, I'm announcing that we'll also share US-authorized vaccines doses of Pfizer and Moderna and <keyword id="92247" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Johnson-Johnson">Johnson &amp; Johnson</keyword>, as they become available, with the rest of the world as well. These are vaccines that are authorized to be put in the arms of Americans," he said. "And by the end of June, when we'll have taken delivery of enough of such vaccines to protect everyone in the United States. The US will share at least 20 million doses of those doses -- that extra supply -- with other countries," Biden said. Biden's announcement was welcomed by US lawmakers and Indian-American community leaders. "While I'm glad to see the <keyword id="6356037" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="white-house">White House</keyword> committing to sharing an additional 20 million COVID-19 vaccine doses with the world by the end of next month, this is only one step of the many more we need to take to reduce the threat of new mutant strains emerging from outbreaks abroad and causing another deadly surge here at home," said Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi. "The outbreaks we're seeing in India and many other nations are a tragedy for all those facing them, and they're a threat to those in other countries who've already been vaccinated because of the risk they pose of producing vaccine-resistant mutations," he said. "We need to further expand our support to the nations battling these outbreaks in order to save the millions of lives in danger today, and the millions more across the world, and in the United States, who could be endangered by new forms of the virus if these surges are allowed to fester," Krishnamoorthi said. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that a decision on which countries would receive these vaccine doses would be taken in due course. Indian-American community leader Ajay Bhutoria also welcomed Biden's announcement. "The President is restoring America's leadership in the world by stepping by being a Leader in fight against COVID-19 and sharing vaccine doses with people around the world," he said. In a statement, he urged the President that the vaccines be sent to India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Brazil and other countries heavily impacted by the pandemic.
