Big B took to his blog to share on Sunday that he has broken his rib cartilage and stated that he is currently taking rest at his home in Mumbai. "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, got injured, rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage. Cancelled shoot, did doctor consult &amp; scan by CT at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home," posted Amitabh Bachchan. He suffered an injury during an action sequence of the film. He, unfortunately, suffered a muscle tear to his right rib cage. "Strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain .. Amitabh Bachchan injured during film shoot in Hyderabad

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday called off his weekly meet and greet with fans amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 77-year-old actor, who sees his admirers every Sunday at his house Jalsa in Juhu since past 37 years, took to Twitter to share the update. "To all Ef and well wishers an earnest request! Please do not come to Jalsa gate today... Sunday meet (I) am not going to come!" Bachchan wrote on the microblogging site. The veteran actor also urged his fans to take precautions in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, which has led to more than 5,000 deaths globally. "Take precautions... be safe," he added. The coronavirus outbreak, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Wednesday.

Mumbai, Jul 12 () Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan are "feeling better" as they get treated for coronavirus at Nanavati Hospital, Dr Abdul Samad Ansari, director of Critical Care Services at the hospital, said on Sunday. The father-son duo on Saturday posted on Twitter that they had tested positive for COVID-19 and are in the hospital's isolation ward. "I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to hospital. Hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited," Amitabh, 77, tweeted. Soon after his father's tweet, Abhishek, 44, wrote on social media that both of them had mild symptoms and requested everybody to be calm. On Sunday, Ansari said both the actors are "stable". A day after Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek revealed their diagnosis of COVID-19, the megastar's daughter-in-law Aishwarya (46) and granddaughter Aaradhya (8) also tested positive for the virus. Amitabh's wife, veteran actor-MP Jaya Bachchan, 71, has tested negative. In a series of tweets, Abhishek also said he and his father will "remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise". "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers," Abhishek, who is admitted to Nanavati Hospital along with his father, said. "My father and I remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise," he added.
