Airtel <keyword id="12343318" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="iq-video" source="Orion">IQ Video</keyword> is an end-to-end managed solution that brings convenience along with cost benefits. "Airtel IQ Video brings an easy-to-use platform that can enable anyone to quickly build and scale their business in video streaming," Bharti Airtel Chief Product Officer Adarsh Nair said in a statement. "This will encourage enterprises to focus on content while Airtel IQ Video anchors the end-to-end technology ensuring a great viewing experience for customers. With Airtel IQ Video, we expect to see more content startups and traditional content companies coming online and directly engaging with consumers digitally," he added. It encompasses a variety of features ranging from app development, content hosting, curation and lifecycle management to search and discovery, analytics and monetisation models (advertising, subscriptions, transactions). During the beta phase, Airtel IQ Video has also been deployed by Eros Now and CG Telecom of Nepal. Airtel is expecting to onboard more than 50 brands on the platform in coming year as interest from market has been high. Airtel IQ, a cloud-based omni-channel communications platform, enables brands to deepen engagement with customers through timely and secure communication. It eliminates the need for multiple communication platforms for different channels, the company said. The company on Tuesday (June 17) launched India’s first multiplex on the Partynite Metaverse platform. The 20-screen multiplex — which is a part of Airtel’s video app Xtream — will showcase content portfolios from leading over-the-top (OTT) platforms it has partnered with. A quick scan of the website reveals that Airtel Xstream offers content from OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Sony Liv and Eros Now. The Xstream multiplex is an extension of Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering, which added two million subscribers within 100 days of its launch. “Airtel’s Xstream multiplex provides a larger-than-life experience, which brings together Web 3.0 apps and immersive storytelling, and an assortment of content from our partners. We all know people’s love for movies and entertainment in India. Through the metaverse, we are looking to tap into a larger audience, giving content enthusiasts an opportunity to sample Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering and, thus, aiding in driving higher adoption,” Shashwat Sharma, director of marketing at Airtel, said in a statement. Airtel’s latest metaverse multiplex will enable viewers to watch samples — such as the first episode or initial minutes — of top original shows and movies. These shows or movies will be in multiple regional languages, besides English and Hindi. Viewers can get complete access upon subscription of a plan, the company added. Airtel Xstream Premium’s multiplex experience is one of the most scalable use case scenarios for the metaverse and can be used for movies, music, live events and premium sports streaming in the future, Partynite’s founder Rajat Ojha said. “Apart from the robust scope, it will also allow social engagement, open up newer methods of content delivery and, of course, provide an immersive experience at the core of it,” he added. According to the Department of Telecom estimates, Airtel owes ₹35,586 crore to the government. Airtel shares set for a catch up rally after Reliance Jio takes a huge valuation lead

The Supreme Court has just allowed Centre’s plea to recover adjusted gross revenue from telecom service providers, according to IANS. As the news got out, Airtel’s share price fell drastically by 6.35% A three-judge bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, upholded the definition of adjusted gross revenue formulated by Department of Telecom (DoT). "We have held that definition of AGR will prevail," the bench, also comprising Justices Vineet Saran and S Ravindra Bhat, said. "We have allowed the appeal of Department of Telecom and dismissed that of licensees (telcos)," the top court said while reading the operative portion of the judgement. The apex court said it had rejected all other submissions of the telecom companies. It added that the service providers would have to pay penalties and interests to the DoT. Shalby Multispeciality hospital chain Shalby reported a consolidated net profit of ₹24.5 crore in the second quarter ended September 30 compared to ₹12.9 crore year-on-year. Cipla The drug major Cipla said the company’s step-down associate firm Avenue Therapeutics Inc had received a complete response letter (CRL) from the US health regulator for its new drug application for intravenous tramadol. Telecom operator <keyword id="6354287" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bharti-airtel" source="Orion">Bharti Airtel</keyword>'s consolidated net profit fell 2.8 per cent during Q3FY22 to Rs 830 crore on a year-on-year basis. In the same quarter of the previous fiscal, the consolidated net profit of the company stood at Rs 854 crore. On the other hand, the total revenues during Q3FY22 grew 12.6 per cent to Rs 29,867 crore, as against Rs 26,518 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Besides, EBITDA grew 22.4 per cent to Rs 14,905 crore, against Rs 12,178 crore reported in the same quarter last fiscal. "We have delivered another quarter of sustained performance across all our business segments... The recent tariff revision for mobile services has gone down well and we are exiting the quarter with an industry leading ARPU of Rs 163," said Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, India and South Asia in a statement. The full impact of the revised mobile tariffs, however, will be visible in the fourth quarter, he said. "Our Enterprise, Homes and Africa business continue to deliver strongly, with steady increase in contribution to the overall mix of the portfolio. Our balance sheet is robust and we are now generating healthy free cash flows. This has enabled us to recently prepay some of our spectrum liabilities to the government thereby reducing the interest burden." Wipro Wipro wins a multi-year contract from Verifone, a global leader in payments and commerce solutions, to drive agility across its cloud services offerings. Dabur The company has responded to a study by the Delhi-based NGO Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and said that its honey had passed the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) test in Germany and it is complying with 22 parameters mandated by FSSAI for testing honey. The CSE study shows that 10 of the 13 brands of honey sold in India, including Dabur had failed the NMR test. The shares of Dabur ended 0.61% lower on Wednesday. DHFL The Committee of Creditors for cash-strapped DHFL has voted in favour of inviting revised bids. And, December 14 has been set as the new deadline to submit bids. The shares of DHFL ended 5% higher on Wednesday. Raymond Raymond’s subsidiary Silver Spark Apparel has entered into a share transfer agreement to divest its entire stake in its subsidiary Dress Master Apparel for ₹19.07 crore.
