This means Insta provides hospital management system or HMS to its clients, who are hospitals, clinics and <keyword id="7874987" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="healthcare-centers" source="Orion">healthcare centers</keyword>, via cloud computing. HMS helps hospitals manage their information like clinical data, inventory, patient information and financials, and integrate all of it across departments. Also, Insta’s own SaaS transition will render it with benefits and also the clients it serves. Insta says its new SaaS-powered system will enable the hospitals – its clients – to improve operational efficiency by 20-25% with minimal revenue leakage. “The India market is ripe for SaaS. It provides the much-needed agility that healthcare players are looking for, thus, giving us the confidence of further expansion in a shorter period of time,” said Abhinav <keyword id="3268" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="lal" source="Orion">Lal</keyword>, co-founder and chief technology officer, Practo. Scalability &amp; cost-efficiency The company has ambitious growth plans ahead – to grow the number of its clients by 25%. The SaaS model will provide it with scalability. The company said that the SaaS transition will also provide more value to its partner clinics and hospitals in addition to flexibility. More importantly, the new system will make it more cost-effective, and it can be passed on to its clients. “With this move, the company aims to improve its integration, enabling timely upgrades and greater ease of use, at four times reduction in costs as compared to conventional IT infrastructure,” Insta said in a statement. ‘Helps anticipate revenues &amp; shorten sales lifecycle’ Since it was acquired in 2015 by Practo, Insta grew its business by 368%. It has been clocking 25-30% revenue growth year-on-year, for the last two to three years. “While our consumer business continues to grow, our B2B business is turning profitable. This transition to SaaS is a strategic step in that direction. It helps us anticipate revenues, shorten sales lifecycle, and deepen integration, thus, creating a more predictable ecosystem for both growth and profitability,” said Lal. The global cloud computing market in healthcare is estimated to reach $51.9 billion by 2024. Practo’s Insta says its SaaS transition will help reduce costs by 4x

And, the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) are hoping that a stronger dollar will boost margin when earnings are converted to rupee. Similarly, Infosys CFO Nilanjan Roy, said “We have stopped hiring temporarily, we have also frozen any salary hikes, we have temporarily suspended all promotions — so these, we believe, are no-regret moves,” during the fourth-quarter earnings call. So, how much does that save? According to the TCS annual report, the average annual increase was 6% in India. can be a big cost saver <keyword id="141968" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="HCL-Tech">HCL Tech</keyword> has proposed a <a plan</a> ⁠— where only 50% of its employees will need to work from office at any given time ⁠— while TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan wants only <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/corporates/news/tcs-ceo-says-the-business-model-is-20-years-old-and-its-time-to-go-employee-lite/articleshow/75243124.cms">25% of the employees on any project at any one place, at any one time. </a> The rest can work from home even after the lockdown has ended. “This would axe travel and real estate costs by roughly 300 to 400 basis points,” according to Pai. A hundred basis points make for a percent. However, there are other <a href="https://news.stanford.edu/2020/03/30/productivity-pitfalls-working-home-age-covid-19/">experts who believe</a> that any increase in productivity seen during the pandemic may only be temporary as other social options are limited. Once the lockdown is lifted and normal activity resumes, the same level of productivity may prove difficult to sustain. A weaker rupee is good for companies that earn in dollars Infosys has already gained 2% on the rupee depreciation — which meant a 50 basis points margin benefit — in the fourth quarter with 97% of their billing in foreign currency. HCL technologies also saw a similar benefit on their margins of around 53 basis points. “Foreign exchange movements, particularly the rupee movement is the one that gave us the maximum benefit,” said CFO of HCL Technologies, Prateek Agarwal. For TCS, movements in currency exchange rates through the year resulted in a positive impact of 0.1% on the reported revenue — that’s around 10 basis points for the whole year. These cost-cutting measures are the need of the hour to maintain margins, however, they aren’t going to spurt profitability, according to Pai. IT majors will be happy keeping the profit margin where it is with FY20 being more about sustaining growth rather than boosting profits.
