<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="13346692" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="aidan-hutchinson" source="Orion">Aidan Hutchinson</keyword> said he's ready for the 2022 <keyword id="11897660" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="nfl" source="Orion">NFL</keyword> Draft, and whatever comes after it.</li><li>The Michigan edge rusher is set to be one of the top picks off the board on Thursday night.</li></ul><p>Aidan Hutchinson has had himself quite a few months.</p><p>In his standout senior season at the University of Michigan, he set a new single-season sack record with 13 and helped lead the Wolverines to their first win over arch-rival Ohio State in nearly a decade.</p><p>By the time the season was over, the defensive end had played himself into contention as one of the top potential picks of the 2022 NFL Draft, with some analysts projecting him as the first overall pick off the board.</p><p>But on the eve of the draft, Hutchinson has fielded plenty of questions about his potential to be the first pick.</p><p>"I'd say a question that I get a lot is 'How bad do you want to go No. 1?'" Hutchinson told Insider. "Everybody asks me. It's a cool question to get, but I've gotten that one a ton."</p><div type="image" title="Aidan Hutchinson poses at the Courtyard by Marriott Bistro &amp; Banter event ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft." height="1600" width="2133" msid="91161572" hostid="261"></div><p>Hutchinson spoke with Insider while promoting his partnership with Courtyard by Marriott, which hosted an event the night before the draft featuring Hutchinson and Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford swapping football stories and surprising a few fans in attendance with VIP tickets to the draft.</p><p>Hutchinson may not yet even be a rookie, but he's already promoting like a pro, and was sure to slip in an "Official Hotel of the NFL!" before we moved on to the rest of our conversation.</p><p>Despite all the talk and speculation in the months leading up to the draft, no draft pick is official until a name is submitted. Two days before the first round, Hutchinson said he was in the dark just like the rest of us.</p><p>"I wish I did. I wish I knew a little more. It would definitely take a little pressure off," Hutchinson said.</p><p>"We'll see on Thursday. I know as much as you do."</p><p>If he was bluffing, he has one heck of a poker face.</p><p>While being taken with the first overall pick obviously would be a huge moment for Hutchinson, where you are taken matters just as much, if not more, than when you are taken, and for Hutchinson, there are some advantages to potentially dropping to second overall to the Detroit Lions.</p><p>"I think it would be cool to stay around Michigan and be close to my family," Hutchinson told Insider. "I'm sure it'd make the transition to the NFL easier. I think there's a lot of positives either way."</p><p>But no matter who takes Hutchinson, whether it be the Jaguars, the Lions, or any other team on the board, one thing he was insistent on was that his best is yet to come.</p><p>"I'm just going to be a sponge of information," Hutchinson said. "I know I'm not even close to my potential as a football player. I think I have an extremely high ceiling. I have so much more room to improve as a football player.</p><p>"Whatever team picks me is going to get a person that is consistently trying to learn and get better."</p>

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Top NFL Draft prospect <keyword id="13346692" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="aidan-hutchinson" source="Orion">Aidan Hutchinson</keyword> said he follows <keyword id="11931177" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="tom-brady" source="Orion">Tom Brady</keyword>'s diet and got a TB12 body coach.</li><li>But Hutchinson said he broke the diet while filming <keyword id="13346691" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="barstool" source="Orion">Barstool</keyword>'s One Bite <keyword id="12021035" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="pizza" source="Orion">pizza</keyword> review series.</li></ul><p>Aidan Hutchinson is projected to be one of the first players picked in the upcoming NFL Draft in April, according to <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2022-nfl-mock-draft-seahawks-take-qb-with-pick-acquired-in-russell-wilson-trade-eagles-trade-up-for-stingley/">CBS Sports draft analysts</a>. </p><p>To get himself in draft pick shape, Hutchinson told <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/03/07/mmqb-aidan-hutchinson-michigan-top-prospect">Sports Illustrated</a> on Monday that he implemented <a href="https://www.insider.com/warriors-owner-tells-steph-curry-follow-tom-brady-lifestyle-2022-2">dietary practices from Tom Brady</a> that involves cutting out certain food groups, like dairy and gluten. But Hutchinson said eating a slice of pizza during a recent interview derailed his goals.</p><p>While training for the NFL combine, where former college players put their athletic skills on display for NFL recruiters, Hutchinson said he participated in <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQAwSjN5iSE">Barstool's One Bite Pizza review series</a>, and he said he regrets eating a slice during filming.</p><p>"I was like, 'To have dairy, gluten, just like, what am I doing to myself?'" Hutchinson said. "So I had that piece of pizza, and it always just sits in the back of my mind. And if I'm ever feeling bad, with my body or something, I'm like, 'It's that damn piece of pizza.'"</p><p>The 21-year-old edge rusher told <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/03/07/mmqb-aidan-hutchinson-michigan-top-prospect">Sports Illustrated</a> that his family has always been very health-conscious, and he said he got in touch with <a href="https://www.insider.com/tom-brady-eats-80-vegan-20-protein-2021-12">Brady for diet advice</a> through a mutual contact at the University of Michigan, where Hutchinson and Brady both played college football. </p><p>Hutchinson said he hired his own body coach from Brady's wellness program <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/reviews/out?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftb12sports.com">TB12</a> and started following <a href="https://www.insider.com/what-tom-brady-eats-in-a-day-fit-lean-2021-10">Brady's diet</a> closely in 2019.</p><p>"It is hard, it is very hard," Hutchinson told <keyword id="11893855" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="sports" source="Orion">Sports</keyword> Illustrated. "But I know to be great, I'm going to have to make a lot of sacrifices. That was one that I'm willing to make easily because I want to get everything that I can out of this body."</p><p>While Hutchinson cuts out certain food groups, experts don't recommend restrictive food diets, Insider's Rachel Hosie <a href="https://www.insider.com/low-calorie-food-swaps-weight-loss-meals-2022-1#3-years-ago-i-decided-to-make-some-changes-to-my-lifestyle-1">previously reported</a>. Registered dietitians Bonnie Taub-Dix and Alix Turoff <a href="https://www.insider.com/russell-wilson-10-day-dairy-gluten-red-meat-cleanse-2022-3">previously told Insider</a> that cutting out dairy and gluten would only benefit individuals who have sensitivities or allergies to those foods.</p><h2>Brady's NFL diet excludes several other major food groups</h2><p>Hutchinson told Sports Illustrated he's already adopted most of Brady's dietary restrictions, cutting cut out dairy, sugar, and alcohol, and putting limitations on his gluten intake. He also said he only drinks water, and tries to consume at least one gallon of water per day. </p><p>Hutchinson said the diet has already helped him lose 10 lbs, which he believes will help him adjust to the speed and flexibility needed in his position in the NFL. </p><p>Brady's diet completely cut out gluten rather than just limiting it, along with all refined carbs, caffeine, processed meats, trans fats, and even fruits and vegetables from the nightshade family like strawberries, eggplant, and tomatoes. He also drank <a href="https://www.insider.com/troy-aikman-tom-brady-inspired-him-to-drink-more-water-2022-1">2.3 gallons of water per day.</a></p><p>At 21, Hutchinson has a six-year head start on his habits over his fellow Michigan alum. Brady didn't start following his lifestyle until 2005 when he met long-time body coach and TB12 co-founder <a href="https://www.insider.com/tom-brady-thanks-alternative-medicine-doctor-diet-coach-alex-guerrero-2022-2">Alex Guerrero.</a></p>

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Several future star <keyword id="11897660" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="nfl" source="Orion">NFL</keyword> defenders found their new homes on Thursday in the first round of the NFL Draft.</li><li>While these defensive players vary in shape, size, and style of play, they all share one goal: taking down <keyword id="11931177" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="tom-brady" source="Orion">Tom Brady</keyword>.</li></ul><p>The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft was dominated by defense.</p><p>Defensive players made up the first five picks of the draft, and the national championship Georgia Bulldogs defense sent five defenders to the big leagues on their own, setting an all-time NFL record for most defensive players from one school to be selected in the first round.</p><p>The defenders that made up the first round of the 2022 draft class vary in shape, size, and style of play, but no matter which team they landed with, they all shared one goal: Destroy Tom Brady while they still can.</p><p>"When he retired I thought the dream was dead," Detroit Lions No. 2 overall pick <a href="https://www.insider.com/aidan-hutchinson-ready-to-learn-nfl-draft-jaguars-lions-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Aidan Hutchinson</a> told Insider earlier in the week of his desire to tackle Tom Brady. "I thought it was over. I would no longer be able to get to sack him. Now, maybe one or two more years, max. So, if we play the Bucs, wherever I'm at, I've gotta get a sack."</p><p>"When he un-retired it was a smile on my face for sure."</p><div type="image" title="Aidan Hutchinson sacks Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras." height="1588" width="2118" msid="91189891" hostid="261"></div><p>Hutchinson was far from alone in his desire to take down Brady.</p><p><a href="https://www.insider.com/devin-lloyd-utah-first-round-draft-pick-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Devin Lloyd</a>, who was drafted by the Jaguars with the No. 27 pick on Thursday night, also felt a bit of joy when he found out Brady was returning to the league.</p><p>"He had retired, I was like, 'Damn, I'm not going to get to play against him. Won't even have an opportunity.' When he came out I was like, let's go," Lloyd told Insider of Brady's return. "There's a bit of that feeling of, Oh, the league's in trouble again, but I'm excited to play against him just because you want to have that memory of going against one of the greatest of all time. Hopefully I can make it a positive one."</p><p>Lloyd's new teammate in Jacksonville, first overall pick Travon Walker, expressed a similar sentiment.</p><p>Asked by "Good Morning Football" which quarterback he's most looking forward to sacking, <a href="https://twitter.com/gmfb/status/1519013438076375052" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Walker did not hesitate</a>.</p><p>"It almost definitely would have to be Tom Brady," Walker said. "He's the GOAT. He's somebody I've watched since I grew up, so it'd be a very special moment just to get that sack on Tom Brady."</p><p>It's worth noting that every player that spoke of his desire to sack Brady did so from a place of admiration and respect. </p><p>It's not often you hear kids just out of college speak with dreamlike wonder of their desire to hit a 44-year-old man, but professional football is a funny business.</p><div type="image" title="Jordan Davis sacks Kentucky quarterback Joey Gatewood." height="1720" width="2293" msid="91189892" hostid="261"></div><p>Jordan Davis, who was selected by Philadelphia Eagles with pick No. 13, went as far as to say he would thank Brady for the opportunity if he ever got the Buccaneers quarterback to the ground.</p><p>"If I get a chance to get to him, I'll be like, thank you so much for letting me sack you," Davis <a href="https://news.yahoo.com/rush-nfl-draft-prospect-jordan-031353757.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday</a>. "And he'd probably be like, what is this guy talking about? But regardless, man, that's one of the — that'll be a highlight of my life.</p><p>"I feel like to be able to do that on the GOAT, man — he's the GOAT. Like him or hate him, you got to respect him. And he's been in the league since I've been probably born."</p><p>Cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner, taken by the New York Jets as the No. 4 pick on Thursday night, also spoke of looking forward to the challenge of potentially facing Tom Brady.</p><p>"He's just different. I watch him on TV, and I see the defense doing certain stunts, and he's not buying those stunts because he's seen everything that you could possibly do in the NFL," Gardner <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/video/2022/04/27/sauce-gardner-nfl-draft-preview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told Sports Illustrated ahead of the draft</a>. "He's a great quarterback."</p><div type="image" title="Tom Brady is sacked by the Saints defense." height="1864" width="2486" msid="91189893" hostid="261"></div><p>For now, though, Brady is safe.</p><p>Hutchinson, Lloyd, Walker, Davis, and Gardner will still all have to wait a bit longer for their shot at taking on Brady, as none of their teams have the Buccaneers on their schedule for the 2022 season.</p><p>Hutchinson and Davis could conceivably face Brady in the playoffs, while Walker, Lloyd, and Gardner would all need a Super Bowl matchup against Tampa Bay to make their dreams of taking down Brady come true.</p><p>Still, there's always hope for next year. Brady already pushed back retirement one year — who is to say he won't do it one more time?</p><p>If Brady does come back for yet another year, there will be a brand new crop of defensive stars in the 2023 draft class just as eager to bring him down.</p>

Last year, the Jaguars woes hit a new low with the <a href="https://www.insider.com/urban-meyer-fired-jaguars-shad-khan-2021-12">hiring and impressively swift firing of head coach Urban Meyer.</a></p><p>After a 3-14 campaign, the Jaguars are ready to reset once again, and will hope that Walker emerges as a new defensive anchor for the team.</p><p>Walker was not present in Las Vegas for the draft, choosing instead to watch the night from Atlanta with friends and family.</p><p>It's not hard to see why the Jaguars fell in love with Walker. An impressive chase-down tackle in the College Football Playoff championship game showed off the jaw-dropping speed and power Walker possesses.</p><p>All told, five players from the 2021 Georgia defense, which won a national championship, were selected in the first round of the draft — the <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33824229/georgia-bulldogs-defense-breaks-nfl-draft-record-5-first-rounders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">most defensive players from a single school selected in the first round</a> in NFL history.</p><p>In the weeks leading up to the draft, Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson had largely been projected to go first overall to the Jaguars, but at some point in the past few days the tides shifted, with Walker's potential upside too big for Jacksonville to pass up.</p><p>Walker won't be heading to Jacksonville alone, as the Jaguars also added <a href="https://www.insider.com/devin-lloyd-utah-first-round-draft-pick-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd</a> to their defense with the No. 27 pick on Thursday night after trading back into the first round.</p><p>Together, the tandem will attempt to turnaround a defense that was one of the worst in the league last season, giving up nearly 27 points per game, more than all but four teams in the NFL.</p>

Jacksonville Jaguars swing big with Georgia's Travon Walker as first overall pick of 2022 NFL Draft

<ul class="summary-list"><li>The first round of the <keyword id="11897660" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="nfl" source="Orion">NFL</keyword> Draft kicked off in Las Vegas on Thursday night.</li><li>The New York Jets and Giants both crushed their first-round picks, setting themselves up for potential future success.</li></ul><p>LAS VEGAS — Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stepped out on stage in Las Vegas, Nevada to the boos of thousands of football fans.</p><p>And with that, the 2022 NFL Draft officially began. Four hours, 32 picks, and several eye-popping trades later, Round 1 came to a close, with some teams, players, and characters coming out on top and others wishing the day had gone differently.</p><p>Take a look below at the 11 winners and losers of the first round.</p><h2>WINNER: Travon Walker</h2><p>The Georgia Bulldogs edge rusher was a late-riser up draft boards after a brillaint performance at the combine.</p><p>In the weeks leading up to the draft, Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson had largely been projected to go first overall to the Jaguars, but at some point in the past few days the tides shifted.</p><p>Ladies and gentlemen, <a href="https://www.insider.com/nfl-draft-first-pick-jaguars-travon-walker-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">your first overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, Travon Walker</a>.</p><p>While other top edge talents like Hutchinson and Kayvon Thibodeaux might have put up better numbers than Walker in college, the upside Walker presented was too much for the Jaguars to pass up.</p><p>It's <a href="https://www.insider.com/nfl-draft-first-pick-jaguars-travon-walker-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a home run swing</a>, and after a 3-14 campaign in 2021 with a defense that gave up more points than all but four teams in the NFL, the Jaguars are a team in need of a dinger. Regardless of whether or not it works out for the Jaguars, it's a boon for Walker, who goes down as the first defensive player taken No. 1 since Myles Garrett in 2017.</p><h2>WINNER: Hometown heroes</h2><p>After the Jaguars took Walker first overall, the door was open for the Detroit Lions to draft standout Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson.</p><p>Hutchinson broke the Wolverines' single-season sack record last year, and now will get to continue playing close to home as he begins his NFL career.</p><div type="image" title="Aidan Hutchinson poses after being drafted by the Detroit Lions." height="1600" width="2133" msid="91188618" hostid="261"></div><p>"I think it would be cool to stay around Michigan and be close to my family," <a href="https://www.insider.com/aidan-hutchinson-ready-to-learn-nfl-draft-jaguars-lions-2022-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hutchinson told Insider earlier in the week</a> when asked of the prospect of getting drafted by the Lions. I think there's a lot of positives either way."</p><p>Hutchinson isn't the only potential superstar that will get to stay close to home.</p><p>North Carolina State offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu was taken by the Carolina Panthers with the sixth overall pick, and Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 20.</p><p>With a large contingency of Steelers fans in attendance in Vegas, Pickett's selection earned one of the loudest reactions of the night.</p><h2>WINNER: Somehow, both the New York Giants and New York Jets</h2><p>With four top-10 picks between them, there was a lot of potential for the New York football collective to mess things up pretty bad at the 2022 NFL Draft. Instead, both teams, somewhat shockingly, crushed it.</p><p>For the Giants, finding a quality edge rusher and offensive tackle were both top priorities. When they were set to make their first pick of the night, at No. 5, one elite edge prospect (Kayvon Thibodeaux) and two elite tackle prospects (Ikem Ekwonu, Evan Neal) were left on the board.</p><p>Since the Giants were also picking at No. 7, New York smartly played their hand, selecting Thibodeaux fifth overall, knowing that regardless of who the Panthers took at No. 6, one of the best tackles in the draft would still be there at No. 7. Carolina went with Ekwonu, leaving the Giants to take Neal, who might have been the highest-rated tackle on their board anyway.</p><p>Largely, the Giants' success was a result of not overthinking their picks, but credit where it's due, that's a hell of a duo to start the new season with.</p><p>Similarly, the New York Jets found great value in both of their top-10 picks. The Jets were able to grab possibly the best cornerback to come out of this draft class in Cincinnati's Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner, at No. 4, and followed that up by taking a player that could possibly be the best receiver to come out of this draft class in Ohio State's Garrett Wilson, at No. 10.</p><div type="image" title="Jermaine Johnson celebrates his selection in the 2022 NFL Draft with a group of Jets fans." height="1600" width="2133" msid="91188620" hostid="261"></div><p>But the Jets' success didn't stop there. As Florida State edge rusher Jermaine Johnson began to fall past where many had him projected, New York found a trade partner in the Tennessee Titans and were able to move back into the first round to snag Johnson at No. 26.</p><p>Heading into the draft, the Jets needed help all across the roster. In one night, they found players that could prove to be foundational pieces at three key positions for years to come.</p><h2>WINNER: Howie Roseman</h2><p>It's hard to imagine anyone having a better night than the young players drafted on Thursday, but if anyone did, it was Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.</p><p>Heading into the draft, Philadelphia was armed with two first-round picks, one of which had already been swapped with New Orleans ahead of Thursday.</p><p>With his first move, Roseman traded up from No. 15 to No. 13 to pick Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis. Not only is Davis a dynamic run-stuffer already, he will also get a year to learn the craft from Eagles veteran Fletcher Cox before eventually stepping into his sizeable cleats as the anchor of the team's defensive front.</p><p>But Roseman's biggest move of the night came next, as the Eagles flipped the No. 18 pick to the Tennessee Titans along with a third-rounder in exchange for star wide receiver A.J. Brown.</p><p>As the 18th pick was approaching, many of the top receiving prospects were already off the board. Rather than draft yet another wide receiver that might not work out — it's a position the Eagles have struggled to draft with the exception of DeVonta Smith last year — Roseman instead negotiated a deal for a receiver everyone already knows can dominate in the NFL.</p><p>It was a deal that shocked Eagles center Jason Kelce live on air.</p><p>"Howie Roseman is working that Howie Roseman magic," Kelce said. "He's moving up in the draft to get Jordan Davis, and now he's trading to get an unbelievable receiver. This is like Christmas right now.</p><p>"Howie is a man on a mission right now, man. He's making things happen, and I'm a big fan."</p><h2>LOSER: Arizona Cardinals</h2><p>The Cardinals also made a deal for a wide receiver, trading the No. 23 pick away to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Marquise "Hollywood" Brown.</p><p>On another day, the Cardinals' deal for Brown might have raised a few eyebrows and little else, but with the immediate comparison to the deal the Eagles pulled off with the Titans, Hollywood's move to Arizona suddenly looks less appealing.</p><p>To be sure, this is a trade that could still work out fantastically for the Cardinals. Brown is a dynamic player and is being reunited with his college quarterback, Kyler Murray. The two are certainly capable of making sparks fly.</p><p>Still, given the price the Eagles paid for A.J. Brown, it's a tough comparison.</p><h2>LOSER: Lamar Jackson</h2><p>The Hollywood Brown trade came as a shock to the entire NFL, but no one was more surprised than Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.</p><p>It would be rather strange to learn that one of your friends is moving away by watching television, but there's a lot about the life of an NFL quarterback that is rather strange.</p><h2>WINNER: Wide receivers</h2><p>There was a ton of wide receiver talent up for grabs in Thursday's first round, and clearly front offices around the league were aware of it.</p><p>From picks No. 8-18, a whopping six wide receivers were selected — Drake London to the Falcons (No. 7), Garrett Wilson to the Jets (No. 10), Chris Olave to the Saints (No. 11), Jameson Williams to the Lions (No. 12), Jahan Dotson to the Commanders (No. 16), and Treylon Burks (No. 18) to the Titans.</p><p>Given the instant impact that the likes of Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson have had in their recent rookie seasons, expectations are high for this group. It's going to be fun to look back on this group in four or five years.</p><h2>LOSER: Aaron Rodgers</h2><p>Another year, another draft with the Green Bay Packers refusing to draft for Aaron Rodgers. Despite all of that receiving talent available this year, the Packers didn't make a move to get Rodgers another pair of trusted hands. Green Bay's refusal to give Rodgers another target is magnified by the recent departure of Davante Adams.</p><p>With the Packers sitting out of the receiving pool through the first round, look for Green Bay to be major players in the potential market for 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who recently asked for a trade from San Francisco.</p><h2>WINNER: Georgia Bulldogs</h2><p>The 2021 Georgia Bulldogs defense was one of the greatest defenses in the history of college football.</p><p>On Thursday, they cemented their claim further, breaking the NFL record for most defensive players taken in the first round from one school.</p><p>The five Bulldogs that went off the board were: Travon Walker to the Lions (No. 1), Jordan Davis to the Eagles (No. 13), Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt to the Packers (Nos. 22 and 28), and Lewis Cine to the Vikings (No. 32).</p><p>Additionally, linebacker Nakobe Dean is still on the board, and could be taken with one of the first picks of the second round on Friday.</p><h2>WINNER: Trading up to get your guy</h2><p>Trades make the draft, and Thursday's first round was full of exciting moves. Further, there's something inherently nice about teams moving up to get <em>their guy</em>. </p><p>Simply put, it's nice to be wanted.</p><p>In their press conferences after getting drafted, several players, including Jordan Davis and Devin Lloyd, expressed appreciation for their teams' making the effort to trade up for them.</p><p>Trades on draft day make the entire experience more exciting to watch and in some cases, leave players feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Feels like a win-win.</p><h2>WINNER: The Las Vegas Draft</h2><p>Heading to the NFL Draft in Las Vegas, I didn't know what to expect. Of all the things to turn into Coachella, "NFL teams hiring people," is about as strange a choice as you can make. Being here, it's entirely clear why the NFL was eager to get a team in Vegas — this town knows how to host a big event, and the NFL loves to throw them.</p>

NFL DRAFT 2022: 11 winners and losers from the first round of the draft

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Week 2 of the NFL season was a wild one.</li><li>Three teams — the Dolphins, Jets, and Cardinals — erased double-digit deficits late in the game to pull off astounding comebacks.</li></ul><p>There was plenty of action in Week 2 of the NFL season: Unbelievable comebacks headlined the early slate of games, led by the Dolphins and Jets, terrible coaching decisions, and a miraculous run by one of the league's most exciting young quarterbacks.</p><p>Take a look below at the winners and losers of Week 2:</p><h2>WINNER: Comebacks</h2><p>Week 2 was a wild one, with three games featuring double-digit comebacks late in the game.</p><p>The Dolphins erased a 21-point deficit to the Ravens, scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter to steal a 42-38 win in Baltimore. Newly acquired wide receiver Tyreek Hill paid off in a big way, beating coverage for two deep touchdowns late in the game to spark the comeback effort.</p><p>Somehow, this was the tamest comeback of the day.</p><p>In Las Vegas, the Raiders blew a 23-7 fourth-quarter lead to the Arizona Cardinals, who were able to score 16 unanswered to force overtime, then take the game with a scoop-and-score.</p><p>But the most embarrassing loss of the day came from the Cleveland Browns, who blew a 13-point lead to the New York Jets in less than 90 seconds of football.</p><h2>LOSER: Cleveland Browns</h2><p>Woweee, this was a sad showing. Mistakes came from across the board. Everyone is to blame.</p><p>The Browns effort to gift the game to the Jets began late in the fourth quarter. With Cleveland holding a touchdown lead heading into the two-minute warning, the Browns were in the red zone with a chance to score again.</p><p>To be clear, they did not need to score again. With the Jets out of timeouts, three kneeldowns would put the game away for good. But running back Nick Chubb broke free and found paydirt.</p><p>Sure, the Browns were giving the Jets the ball back when they could have chosen instead to watch the clock tick to zero and take the win. But whatever, there's not way this would not come back to bite them, right?</p><p>Also, kicker Cade York missed the extra point following the touchdown, meaning the Browns lead stood at 30-17.</p><p>But again, that wouldn't matter, right? This game is basically over.</p><p>Then the Browns defense blew their coverage in truly embarrassing fashion.</p><p>And then the Jets recovered an onside kick.</p><p>And then the Jets won the whole dang game.</p><p>The Browns have no one to blame but themselves.</p><h2>WINNER: The Dolphins offense</h2><div type="image" title="Tyreek Hills runs in a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens." height="1799" width="2398" msid="94307875" hostid="261" sizebytes="162716"></div><p>Mike McDaniel's first year as an NFL head coach is off to a hot start.</p><p>Tua Tagovailoa is playing as well as he ever has. The acquisition of superstar receiver Tyreek Hill is already paying dividends, with two touchdowns in the Dolphins' comeback effort against the Ravens. Hill was matched by his fellow speedster Jaylen Waddle, who secured two touchdowns of his own.</p><p>With Waddle and Hill causing so much trouble, the rest of the offense should continue to open up. The Dolphins appear to have the most fearsome duo of receivers in the league, and McDaniel seems ready to get the most out of them.</p><h2>LOSER: Nathaniel Hackett</h2><p>Broncos rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett does not look ready for the big leagues.</p><div type="image" title="Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett discuss a play against the Houston Texans." height="1746" width="2328" msid="94307877" hostid="261" sizebytes="250758"></div><p>Last week, <a href="https://www.insider.com/video-peyton-manning-nathaniel-hackett-timeout-2022-9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hackett mismanaged the clock at the end of Denver's game</a> against the Seahawks, leading to an embarrassing loss.</p><p>Somehow, this Sunday was worse for the coach. While the Broncos were eventually able to eke out a win against the Texans, it was far tougher a struggle than it should have been. Twice Denver took a delay-of-game penalty on fourth-and-short because Hackett was indecisive before sending the kicking team out. The second of those times, the delay penalty knocked the Broncos out of field-goal range, forcing them to punt.</p><p>The fans in Denver were not pleased, and took to shouting out the time left on the play clock in an effort to prevent their team from taking another stupid penalty.</p><p>When the entire stadium of home fans takes it upon themselves to help you coach better, that's not a positive sign.</p><h2>WINNER: Aidan Hutchinson</h2><div type="image" title="Aidan Hutchinson celebrates a sack against the Washington Commanders." height="1735" width="2313" msid="94307880" hostid="261" sizebytes="241442"></div><p>The first overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft had a big day on Sunday, finishing with three sacks and six total tackles in a win against Washington.</p><p>He also appears to have quite a good sack celebration.</p><h2>LOSER: Deejay Dallas</h2><p>With the Seattle Seahawks facing an uphill battle against the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Pete Carroll decided to reach into his bag of tricks.</p><p>Running back DeeJay Dallas took a hand-off in the red zone and threw towards the end zone — the first pass attempt of his NFL career.</p><p>It was picked off with ease by the 49ers defense.</p><p>Better luck next time.</p><h2>WINNER: Cooper Rush</h2><p>After Dak Prescott went down with a thumb injury last week, it felt like the Cowboys could be dismissed for the rest of the year. Though the defense played well enough during their season opener, the offense was listless when Dak was on the field, and even moreso when backup Cooper Rush took over.</p><p>But on Sunday, getting just the second start of his professional career, Rush came through for the Cowboys, doing just enough to push his team to a 20-17 win over the Bengals.</p><p>It's still unclear how long Prescott will be out, but if Rush can sustain this level of play, the Cowboys can at least stay competitive in the interim.</p><h2>LOSER: Cincinnati Bengals offensive line</h2><div type="image" title="Joe Burrow is sacked by the Dallas Cowboys." height="1354" width="1806" msid="94307882" hostid="261" sizebytes="166204"></div><p>The Bengals got blown up by the Steelers defense in Week 1, with quarterback Joe Burrow taking seven sacks and giving up five turnovers in a loss.</p><p>Against the Cowboys on Sunday, Burrow got crushed again, taking six more sacks and facing a ton of pressure when he was able to stay upright.</p><p>The Bengals' trip to the Super Bowl last year feels further and further away.</p><h2>WINNER: Chicago Bears owner Aaron Rodgers</h2><p>Last time Aaron Rodgers played the Chicago Bears, <a href="https://www.insider.com/aaron-rodgers-bears-fans-i-still-own-you-double-bird-2021-10" target="_blank" rel="noopener">he told them he owned them</a>.</p><p>On Sunday night, he proved it again.</p><p>The Packers have won their past five games against the Bears by double-digits, averaging more than 34 points per game over that span.</p><h2>LOSER: Indianapolis Colts</h2><p>Matt Ryan threw three interceptions in a shutout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.</p><p>Gross.</p><h2>WINNER: Kyler Murray</h2><p>It makes sense that Kyler Murray likes video games so much, because no player in the NFL is closer to a Madden create-a-player brought ot life.</p><p>Look at this.</p><p>He's truly one of one.</p>
