<ul><li><keyword id="111343" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="gautam-adani" source="Orion">Gautam Adani</keyword>, India’s richest man, has pledged to donate ₹60,000 crore towards charity. </li><li>The charitable efforts will be under the trusteeship of the <keyword id="2542614" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="adani-foundation" source="Orion">Adani Foundation</keyword>, and the group says it will enlist sectoral experts to take its efforts forward. </li><li><keyword id="6419840" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="azim-premji" source="Orion">Azim Premji</keyword>, one of the most philanthropic persons in India, praised <keyword id="76451" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="adani" source="Orion">Adani</keyword> for his efforts. </li></ul>Gautam Adani, the richest Indian man, has pledged ₹60,000 crore towards charity. That’s a tenth of his total net worth. This pledge was made on Adani’s 60th birthday, and will be used for a range of social causes. The group said that the corpus will be used towards healthcare, education and skill development – all of which are tax-deductible. The Adani Foundation will be holding this corpus as a trustee, and is likely to be partly funded by transferring the stake of promoters in the seven listed companies of the Adani group. According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes, Gautam Adani’s networth is around $93-95 billion. Adani received praise from Azim Premji, the founder chairman of Wipro and the Czar of Indian IT. A noted philanthropist himself, Premji praised Adani for pledging his wealth at the “peak of business success”, pointing at the substantial contribution to charity by the Adani group. “The challenges and possibilities of our country demand that we work together as one, cutting across all divides of wealth, region, religion, caste, and more. I wish Gautam Adani and his Foundation the very best in this important national endeavour,” Premji added. Philanthropy is an effort to help and support social welfare causes by way of donations – in money and kind. Amaravati, June 22 (IANS) In a boost to the green energy sector in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has cleared pump storage projects proposed by <keyword id="3179546" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Adani-green-energy" source="Orion">Adani Green Energy</keyword> with a total capacity of 3,700 MW. The project was cleared in the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) review meeting on Wednesday. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has cleared the proposal of investment of Rs 15,740 crore which is a part of the proposed total investment of Rs 60,000 crore by <keyword id="76451" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="adani" source="Orion">Adani</keyword> Group in the state of Andhra Pradesh that was discussed during the World Economic Forum meet at Davos recently. The project will generate 10,000 jobs across four districts of Andhra Pradesh. Adani Group has proposed pump storage projects in four districts of the state - two plants to be set up in Parvathi Puram, one in YSR Kadapa, and one in Satya Sai district. In Parvathi Puram, a 1200 MW capacity plant will be set up in Kurukutti, and a 1000 MW plant in Karrivalasa. Meanwhile, a 1000 MW plant will be set up in Gandikota while 500 MW plant in Chitravathi. In each of these districts, Adani Group has proposed that they will be generating 3,000 jobs in Kurukutti, 3000 in Karrivalasa, 1500 in Chitravathi and 2500 in Gandikota. The project is stipulated to commence in December 2022 and is likely to commission in December 2028. While the plants will be set up spanning across 1,490 acres of land, the state government has decided that the land will be leased from farmers at the cost of Rs 30,000 per acre in these districts, which will be transferred to the farmers directly. Meanwhile, the state will be generating a revenue of Rs 2,775 crore from the project in terms of the power stored and an additional Rs 980 crore from the SGST. "This will give a big boost to the state in terms of investment and a positive message as the employment rate continues to rise in the state," Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said in the meeting. In other decisions taken in the SIPB meeting, the government has decided to apply for the PM MITRA scheme, which proposes to set up an integrated textile park in YSR Jagananna Mega Industrial Hub at Kopparthy in YSR District. The government, as per the conditions laid down under the scheme, has proposed that they would be fixing the power cost at Rs 4.5 per unit and Rs 60 per TMC of water for the 10-year period of the project. The SIPB has also cleared the setting up of a shrimp processing unit at the food park in Krishna district by Avisa Foods Private Limited. The project would generate 2,500 jobs in 12 months and the company has requested for 11.64 acres of land from the state government of Andhra Pradesh. The SIPB has decided to lease the 11.64 acres at the cost of Rs 1,027 per sqm. The government has also laid out condition that the effluent treatment plant (ETP) would be set up by the company.

Adani green energy projects worth Rs 15,740 cr cleared by AP Govt.

<keyword id="6356847" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="gandhinagar">Gandhinagar</keyword>, The <keyword id="6370685" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gujarat-government">Gujarat government</keyword> on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the private infrastructure company, <keyword id="10640651" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Adani-Port-SEZ-ltd">Adani Port &amp; SEZ Ltd</keyword>., to setup the country's largest multi-modal <keyword id="406927" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="logistics-park">logistics park</keyword> at Sanand with an estimated investment of ₹50,000 crore. The proposed 1,450 acre park will have a dedicated air cargo complex with 4.6 km long runway to handle even large sized cargo aircraft and will offer direct air, rail and road connectivity. It will also have a provision of direct rail connectivity with dedicated freight corridor which is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). It will have potential to generate direct and indirect employment for 25,000 persons. According to the state government, the project will be completed in a phased manner in three years as the work will commence within six months after obtaining required clearances and permissions. There will be a 90 lakh sq ft warehouse zone with facilities such as air freight station, grade-A warehouse, cold storage among others in the park. The warehouse will have 38 lakh sq ft space for textile, bulk, e-commerce, nine lakh sq ft space for bonder warehouse, four lakh grade-A palatized facility and 60,000 temperature controlled palletized facility. Against 3.3 lakh capacity, a container yard in this park will have four handling lines with TEU (twenty ft equivalents). The park will have three lakh square feet of space for business and skill development centre. The Central government has sanctioned ₹2 lakh crore for setting up of multi-modal mega logistics parks in 34 cities of the country. Cities like Vijayawada, Chennai, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Surat, Hyderabad and Gauhati are selected among others. Six cities of Gujarat are selected, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat,Bharuch, Valsad and Kandla, where these projects will be set up on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. 60 per cent of the cargo in the country is transferred via road. The transportation cost is 14% of the GDP in the country, which the Central government wants to bring down to 7%. Gujarat government signs pact with Adani Port to setup largest multi-modal logistics park

<keyword id="6367820" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Adani-Group">Adani Group</keyword> has joined hands with the Rajasthan government to set a10, 000 mw Solar Power plant. 
 
The company’s Renewable Energy department has signed a 50:50 joint venture that is estimated to be the largest such integrated facility in India. 
 
The park is pegged to attract investments worth over Rs. 60,000 Crore. It is said to include generation projects and a manufacturing unit for solar module, parts and equipment. The group itself plans to generate around 5,000 mw in the said solar park. 
 
The solar park is a part of the Rajasthan government’s plan to achieve 25,000 mw solar power capacities by 2022. It has claimed to set up 1, 00,000 mw of solar power by 2022.

Adani Group set to launch 10,000 MW solar power park

The <keyword id="76451" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Adani">Adani</keyword> Group is planning to invest in <keyword id="32723" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Defence">defence</keyword> and aerospace production, thanks to Modi’s '<keyword id="6354869" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="make-in-India">Make in India</keyword>' campaign. 
 
According to media reports, the company is in talks with international defence companies for a strategic partnership to set up a defence manufacturing hub in India. It has been pitching its main asset — the country's largest private port with it’s sea and land links and the SEZ at Mundra in Gujarat. 
 
Sweden’s Saab is among the few companies being approached for these partnerships. The Swedish giant is already eyeing to set up production facilities in India. It wants major projects like the Rs 60,000-crore P-75I submarine contract and has proposed to manufacture the light Gripen fighter jet in India. 
 
Sources say Adani may also consider defence firms like Italy's Finmeccanica and US based Textron. The later owns BAE, which is being reviewed for a $700 million contract to supply howitzer guns to India. 
 
The Adani Group is the first among large Indian conglomerates to want to invest in defence and aerospace. Just last month the group has applied to the department of industrial policy &amp; promotion for a licence to manufacture helicopters under a new name — Adani Defence Systems &amp; Technologies Ltd. The sector has immense potential given that the country is one of the world's largest spenders in this area.

Automotive component maker <keyword id="14811227" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="uno-minda-ltd" source="Orion">Uno Minda Ltd</keyword> on Thursday said its subsidiaries making alloy wheels and switches will expand their production capacity at an outlay of ₹300 crore. According to the company, its subsidiary <keyword id="14811226" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="minda-kosei-aluminum-wheel-private-ltd" source="Orion">Minda Kosei Aluminum Wheel Private Ltd</keyword> will be expanding its 4W Alloy wheel capacity by 60,000 wheels/month to 240,000 wheel/month at its plant in Bawal, Haryana. The additional capital expenditure for the aforesaid capacity expansion will be Rs 190 crore. The expansion is expected to be commissioned in two phase with first phase of 30,000 wheel/month in December 2023 and remaining in June 2024. The project cost for setting up Phase 1 of the manufacturing plant at Farrukhnagar will be about Rs 110 crore which will be completed by September 2023. The phase 1 of the plant will manufacture part products to be used for manufacturing of auto components.
