<ul><li>The fire broke out in a shoe factory in <keyword id="66" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi">Delhi</keyword>'s Keshavpuram area at 8:30 am on May 26.</li><li>23 fire engines were rushed to the factory to douse the flames.</li><li>At the moment, there are no reports of anyone being trapped in the building.</li><li>This is the second fire accident in Delhi in the last 12 hours, with the first one in the Tughlakabad area gutting 250 slum shanties at 1 am.</li></ul> A massive fire broke out in a shoe factory in Delhi's Keshavpuram area on Tuesday morning, May 26. There have been five incidents of fire in Delhi this month. The fire department has rushed 23 fire engines to the spot to douse the flames. According to a report by IANS, no one has been reported trapped in the building so far. Chief Fire Officer Anuj Garg told IANS that the fire call was received at 8.34 am from the shoe-manufacturing factory situated on the first floor of a building in Keshavpuram in northwest Delhi. Second fire accident in Delhi in the last 12 hours This is the second such fire accident in Delhi in the last 12 hours. Earlier at 1 am on May 26, another fire accident was reported in Delhi's Tughlakabad area. "We received information about a fire at around 1 am at slums in Tughlakabad. All police staff reached here immediately. It is being said that around 1,000-1,200 shanties caught fire," Rajendra Prasad Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South East, told ANI. This is the fifth instance of fire in Delhi during this month. On May 6, a fire broke out at a scrap godown in the Tikri border area around 2:50 am and around 30 <keyword id="154908" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Fire-Service">Delhi Fire Service</keyword> (DFS) vehicles were rushed to douse the flames. The cause of the fire was not known yet, but the DFS said it might be a short circuit incident that could have triggered the blaze. The second fire incident was reported on May 10 when fire broke out at a cardboard factory in Bawana industrial area and 14 fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames. The third incident was reported at a COVID-designated hospital Cygnus Orthocare Hospital and eight patients were evacuated by the fire fighters. Residents of Chandigarh's upscale Sector 5 locality have been asked to stay indoors by the police after a leopard-like animal was spotted in the area. Wildlife activists, on the other hand, have said they are not sure that the animal was a leopard and that efforts to catch it were already in progress. The leopard isn't the only animal that people are confused about. A video of a small Indian civet roaming the streets of Kozhizode in Kerala has also been making the rounds. Even though many have claimed that its the Malabar civet — an endangered species which hasn’t been seen since the 1990s — fact checking website <a href="https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/spotted-malabar-civet-coronavirus/">Snopes</a> contends that it’s unlikely. Unlike the Malabar Civet, the small Indian civet is listed as ‘least concern’ on the Red List of Threated Species. The species is fairly common and healthy populations can be found living in agricultural landscapes.  Sambar deer in Chandigarh In another video that’s making the rounds on social media, Sambar deer were seen crossing the streets of Chandigarh at night. While it’s uncommon to see them on roads, the species is native to the region. The deer may also have wandered in from one of Chandigarh’s two wildlife sanctuaries. In past, numerous accidents have been reported of cars accidentally ramming into deer as they try to cross the road, according to Kaswan. Olive Ridley’s nesting in the daytime after seven years Olive Ridley sea turtles, which return to the Odisha coastline every year to day their eggs were seen nesting during the day for the first time in seven years. The lack of fishing boats in the sea, tourists coming to watch and foot traffic in general is likely the reason for the return of this uncommon phenomenon.  A Nilgai was spotted roaming the highway outside the Great India Place in Noida. Although uncommon out on the open road, the animal is native to the region and can be found in abundance if you know where to look. The Malabar Civet isn't one of them, but the Coronavirus lockdown has brought a lot of animals out of hiding

Eight years ago, Sakina Shiekh took up a job as she became the family’s only breadwinner after her husband passed away in a fatal accident, leaving behind Sheikh and a son inconsolable. 
 
Her son is now 13-years old and Sheikh supports her family and pays for her son’s education with her salary of Rs 50,000 which was raised from Rs 30,000 in view of her good performance. 
 
But, her job is not any ordinary job. She’s one of those increasing number of young women in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=mumbai&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Mumbai</a> who are opting for a career in security companies- as a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=women+bouncers&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">woman bouncer</a>. 
 The reason for their tremendous growth are many. Firstly, being a bouncer pays a whole lot more than any other job for women with limited education (Sheikh herself has studied till Class 10). Secondly, the number of female drinkers has gone up in Mumbai leading to the high demand for <keyword id="1499092" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="women-bouncers">women bouncers</keyword> by event companies and pub and restaurant owners. 
 
Realising this very need, <a href="http://www.topsgrup.com/">TOPSGRUP</a>, a leading Mumbai-based <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=security+company&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">security company </a>started the trend of recruiting women bouncers.From hiring just 300 women bouncers in 2011 the company has gone to hiring a massive 1000 women bouncers in this year. 
 Commenting on the growing trend of women bouncers in the city, Mr <keyword id="3518045" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="niraj-bijlani">Niraj Bijlani</keyword>, Executive Director, TOPSGRUP stated that it was only a matter of time before companies realised the potential of women bouncers and guards. 
 
“Women bouncers are far more efficient in breaking up fights between drunken patrons as compared to their male counterparts. There are instances when clients get aggressive with bouncers themselves – and in these cases, the presence of a woman security officer is immediately calming, at the same time, men rarely attack women. Most of these women are adept in martial arts and personal protection. Moreover, it is also noted that aggressive or a misbehaving crew of male or female customers, sober down much faster when they spot a female bouncer,” he elaborated, adding that according to estimations, the number of women bouncers in India has grown fourfold in the past year. 
 
Though the hospitality sector was the first ones to embrace and encourage the trend of women bouncers, it is at weddings that women bouncers are heavily demanded, followed closely by city pubs. 
 
But there’s also a catch. As the number of women bouncers increase, so do their roles. From physical dexterity to mental calm – the demands of this job are extensive. Strength of mind and body are both equally important, says Bijlani. 
 
It’s clearly no longer just about women entering what used to be a domain exclusively for men- instead it’s a new avenue for women to explore and empower themselves. 
 
 
 
To take up a profession as strenuous as this, women not only need to be physically fit but also mentally strong, and that is what Bijlani thinks is TOPSGRUP’s biggest challenge. Additionally, convincing these women about their own security in the role of a woman bouncer is another major challenge. 
 
To counter that, the company ensures that they train every woman they hire. “Initially, we train them in broad areas like Event Security, Close Protection and managing the group security. As they start handling more complex assignments, we take them through refresher courses with specific topics like Crowd Management, Evacuation, and Escorting. The ones who excel, get into celeb security and VVIPS. They are given job/person specific training in tandem with the client’s support team. They are also trained in identifying the body language to look for in miscreants,” explained Bijlani. 
 
These women are also required to do a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=regular+workout&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">regular workout</a> involving weight training and toning exercises apart from following a strict diet and not skipping meals. A regular work hour for a woman bouncer employed in shopping malls, IT parks or in events could range anywhere between 8 hours to 12 hours. Sometimes, the duration can also be in between four to eight hours, depending upon the requirement. 
 
The silver lining of this profession is the fact that unlike most other jobs, where gender disparity is prevalent to the disadvantage of women, as bouncers, women often get paid more than men — their wages range from Rs 1500-2000 per shift along with conveyance. Men in comparison earn Rs 800-1200 per shift. 
 
In a month, a woman bouncer with TOPSGRUP is a position to take home Rs 25,000-35,000 as their salary, claims Bijlani. 
 
The next time you’re told that women can’t do everything, ask them to think again.

Meet the Indian security company that has more than 1000 women bouncers working for them

In a country like India, where patriarchy and poverty still exists, the importance of education for girls is often lost on families from rural communities where money is tight and the male child is preferred and celebrated. 
 
However, Gurgaon based non-profit organization <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/This-NGO-isproviding-primary-education-for-girls-and-now-has-a-man-cycling-from-Mumbai-toDelhi-to-raise-awareness-for-it/articleshow/50091927.cms">IIMPACT</a> founded by IIM-A graduates is of the belief that the <keyword id="6366837" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="girl-child">girl child</keyword> shouldn’t be left behind either. 
 
And, in a bid to ensure girls from rural areas get access to free quality <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=primary+education">primary education</a>, <keyword id="1938562" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="IIMPACT">IIMPACT</keyword> has set up over 30 learning centres in over 11states aided by their donors and sponsors where approximately 45,000 girls have been educated till Class V. 
 
The good news is, they are not alone in their fight. 
 Helping them is Mumbai-based cyclist <keyword id="2610228" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jasmeet-Singh-Gandhi">Jasmeet Singh Gandhi</keyword>, who <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=cycling">cycled</a> from Mumbai to Delhi crossing a distance of 1400 kms in under 10 days to raise awareness for this very cause under <keyword id="3175283" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Umeed-1000-Cyclothon">Umeed 1000 Cyclothon</keyword>. 
 
Last year, the 46-year old Microsoft employee cycled from Mumbai to Bangalore to raise funds for cancer patients. And, this year it is education of the girl child that he had on his mind. 
 
“The choice was a very clear one. I am surrounded by women at home. I see what they are capable of. To even think that by not educating our girls we’re denying the chance to let 50% of the population contribute to the nation is heartbreaking and disappointing, really,” Gandhi tells me, matter of factly. 
 
He goes on to add how he thinks that the saying ‘Behind every successful man is a woman’ is downright sexist. “I don’t think women are meant to stand behind. I take pride in saying that my wife is more educated and capable than me and she’s not just standing behind but everywhere. Women are heroes. It’s time we treat them like one,” he adds. 
 
When asked about the biggest challenge of cycling from Mumbai to Delhi and leaving his tyre-prints in four states, he laments on the lack of proper infrastructure for cyclists in the country. “It’s so easy for an accident to happen,” he states. 
 
When he started his journey on December 7, Gandhi had pledged to raise the money required for educating 1,000 girls, after he found out that it takes Rs 3,000 a year to educate one girl-child. 
 
Today on December 17, after the completion of his cycling odyssey, he learnt that his efforts managed to raise Rs 37 lakhs, way more than what he had aimed for. 
 
“It’s always good knowing you over-achieved, especially when you come from a corporate background” he tells me with a shy smile.

The exact daily limit for reimbursement may differ depending on the insurance company. “However, adding an add-on to a car insurance policy is (only) possible during the renewal period. Insurance providers typically allow policyholders to evaluate and modify their policy coverage during the renewal process,” says Das. During this period, the customer can assess their insurance needs and make any necessary changes or enhancements to their coverage for the next policy term.
