<ul><li>Fresh graduates who took Scaler Academy's six month coding programme secured average compensation of over ₹15 lakh from global multinationals like Amazon, Samsung, Google and more. </li><li>Other job offers came from companies like Lido Learning, MindTickle, Delhivery, 1MG, Oyo, MakeMyTrip and Razorpay. </li><li>Of the 182 learners on the platform, 177 previously had job offers extending an average salary of nearly ₹7.5 lakh via campus placement drives or direct recruitment. </li><li>The learners are mentored by subject matter experts from companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter and Netflix.</li></ul>Fresh graduates who took Scaler Academy’s six-month coding programme, secured jobs offers from global multinationals like Amazon, Samsung, Google and more. The academy also says that their average compensation is also over ₹15 lakh. A third of them also received job offers over ₹25 lakh per annum. Some other companies that provided job offers include Lido Learning, MindTickle, Delhivery, 1MG, Oyo, MakeMyTrip and Razorpay. The academy claims that most of their students also managed to receive compensation that is twice that of their campus job offers. Of the 182 learners on the platform, 83 previously had job offers extending an average salary of nearly ₹7 lakh via campus placement drives or direct recruitment. That means, the salaries offered after reskilling was more than double, compared to the campus offers. “Once the youth of our country is empowered with the necessary skills and knowledge, they are capable of creating hundreds of unicorns like Facebook and Google. The April 2019 batch was the litmus test to understand that. In fact, 33 of them today hold job offers that are paying over ₹25 lakh per annum,” said <keyword id="8665617" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="abhimanyu-saxena">Abhimanyu Saxena</keyword>, Co-founder at Scaler Academy and <keyword id="8665620" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="InterviewBit">InterviewBit</keyword>. Scaler Academy is an initiative of the reskilling startup Interviewbit. While a few learners on the platform came from premier Indian institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs), almost three-fourths of them were from tier II colleges. “72% of our students come from non-‘pedigree’ institutions and yet they have been able to secure gainful employment opportunities with top companies, including the likes of Google. The numbers clearly suggest that most MNCs and leading start-ups are no longer only hiring from Tier1 colleges, they are increasingly looking at talent over pedigree,” added <keyword id="279823" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anshuman-Singh">Anshuman Singh</keyword>, co-founder at Scaler Academy and InterviewBit. Currently, Scaler academy has a user base of nearly 2,000 students. The learners are mentored by experts from companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter and Netflix. “A lot of young engineers don’t always have access and exposure to the relevant technical skills or recruitment processes of global companies. A third of the freshers who reskilled at Scaler Academy bagged job offers at over ₹25 lakh

<ul><li>upGrad files a trademark infringement suit against rival <keyword id="10716961" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="scaler" source="Orion">Scaler</keyword> for rigging Adword bidding activity; demands Rs 3 crores in damages.</li><li>upGrad accused Scaler of using its brand name ‘upGrad’ through <keyword id="493258" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="google-ads" source="Orion">Google Ads</keyword> to appear on top of search results on Google Search Engine.</li><li>In a recent statement sent to the press, Scaler denied the allegations.</li></ul>upGrad has filed a suit for trademark infringement against another EdTech company called Scaler. The suit has been filed in the Delhi High Court for violation of the intellectual property relating to upGrad's trademark. They have also sought damages of more than Rs 3 crore. upGrad accused Scaler of using its brand name ‘upGrad’ through Google Ads to appear on top of search results on Google Search Engine and in turn gaining illicit benefit. On Monday 29 November 2021, the Delhi High Court granted an ad-interim injunction in favour of upGrad. The court, until further notice, has also directed Scaler to not to bid on upGrad’s registered marks and or its variants using Google Ads Programs or any other keyword program. Commenting on the same, <keyword id="237838" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="arjun-mohan" source="Orion">Arjun Mohan</keyword>, CEO - India, upGrad said, "The lawsuit will ensure that our trademarks and intellectual property are protected and will also discourage unlawful usage in future. We have made substantial investments in building our brands, and it is essential that we protect our rights. We are also evaluating filing trademark infringements suits against other EdTech companies indulging in similar Adword bidding activity." However, Scaler denied the allegations. In a statement sent to the press, Abhimanyu Saxena, Co-Founder, InterviewBit and Scaler said, "Google Adwords bidding wars are the standard industry practice these days. Having said that, we vehemently and categorically deny the charges levelled by upGrad. We have not used their brand name in our advertising or indulged in any activity that would result in copyright or trademark infringement. Top tech companies recruit from Scaler because of the highly skilled and ethical candidates we produce. We hold high ethical standards and are proud of the work our employees, learners, and alumni are doing to uplift our nation.” Recently in a similar Google AdWords case, The Delhi High Court granted an interim injunction in the favour of travel company MakeMyTrip and against its rival, HappyEasyGo. In the same matter and under one of its recent orders, the court also directed Google to block/suspend the Google Ads account of HappyEasyGo. Also, in one of the other similar matters filed by DRS Logistics, the Delhi High Court stated that “Google cannot absolve themselves from the liability of ensuring that the keyword is not an infringement of the trademark.”

New Delhi, Jan 28 () Bengaluru-based InterviewBit on Tuesday said it has raised USD 20 million (over Rs 142 crore) in funding led by Sequoia India and Tiger Global among others.
InterviewBit, a Surge 01 (a Sequoia program) start-up, offers an advanced online computer science program for college graduates and young professional software engineers called Scaler Academy.
"The company will use these funds to scale up their enrolment and launch in new markets, while also investing in their curriculum and their live teaching product to enhance the student-teacher experience," a statement said.
 InterviewBit co-founder Anshuman Singh said a lot of young engineers don't always have access and exposure to the relevant technical skills or recruitment processes of global companies. 
"Our mission is to bridge that gap and help them grow in their careers. We are very pleased to be able to help young engineers expand their knowledge and coding skills and enable them to get top tier software engineering jobs at the best global tech companies," he added.
Founded in 2015 by Abhimanyu Saxena and Anshuman Singh, InterviewBit is an online platform that teaches skills needed for technology jobs, mentors students to crack recruitment processes and provides referrals to opportunities in the software industry globally.
