Last week, the government allowed full occupancy in cinema halls and multiplexes starting from February 1. Now that the theatres are returning to normal operations, MIB has issued SOPs, which are as follows: <ul><li>Adequate physical distancing of at least 6 feet to be followed outside the auditoriums, common areas and waiting areas at all times. </li><li>Use of face covers/masks to be made mandatory at all times.</li><li>Availability of hand sanitizers, preferably in the touch-free mode, at entry and exit points as well as common areas within the premises. </li><li>Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly. </li><li>Self-monitoring of health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest to state and district helpline. vi. Spitting shall be strictly prohibited. </li><li>Installation &amp; use of <keyword id="8995298" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="aarogya-setu-app">Aarogya Setu App</keyword> shall be advised to all.</li></ul>Entry &amp; Exit points <ul><li>Thermal screening of visitors/staff is to be carried out at entry points. Only asymptomatic individuals shall be allowed to enter the premises.</li><li>Provisions for hand sanitization should be made available at all entry points and in work areas.</li><li>Designated queue markers shall be made available for entry and exit of the audience from the auditorium and the premises.</li><li>The Exit should be done in a staggered row-wise manner to avoid crowding.</li><li>Sufficient time interval between successive screenings on a single screen as well as on various screens in a multiplex shall be provided to ensure row-wise staggered entry and exit of the audience.</li></ul>Show timings <ul><li>Staggered show timings shall be followed for multiple screens to avoid crowding. </li><li>The show commencement time, intermission period and finish time of a show at any screen shall not overlap with the commencement time, intermission period or finish time of a show at any other screen in a multiplex.</li></ul>Booking and Payments <ul><li>Digital no-contact transactions should be the most preferred mode for issue/verification/payments for tickets, food, and beverages, etc. by using online bookings, use of e-wallets, QR code scanners, etc.</li><li>Contact number shall be taken at the time of booking of tickets to facilitate contact tracing.</li><li>The purchase of tickets at the box office shall be open throughout the day and advance booking shall be allowed to avoid crowding at the sale counters.</li><li>Sufficient number of counters at the box office shall be opened with adequate physical distancing norms, to prevent crowding during physical booking of tickets.</li><li>Floor markers shall be used for physical distancing during queue management at the box office.</li></ul>

In his tweet, Elliot Alderson had claimed that a security issue has been found in the <keyword id="8995298" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="aarogya-setu-app">Aarogya Setu app</keyword> and that the privacy of over 90 million Indians was at risk. Soon after this, Alderson was contacted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). After disclosing the issue to them, Alderson <a href="https://twitter.com/fs0c131y/status/1257709769097445388">said</a> that he would wait for the issue to be fixed before disclosing the gaps he discovered. However, the government has dismissed the claims. “No personal information of any user has been proven to be at risk by this ethical hacker. We are continuously testing and upgrading our systems. Team Aarogya Setu assures everyone that no data or security breach has been identified.” Aarogya Setu said in a <a href="https://twitter.com/SetuAarogya/status/1257755315614801921/photo/1">statement</a>. To this, the Aarogya Setu team has responded that this is by design and has been mentioned in the app’s privacy policy. It further added that the user’s location information is stored on the server in a ‘secure, encrypted and anonymized manner’. Alderson also claimed that users can get the Covid-19 stats displayed on the home screen by using a script to change the radius and latitude-longitude. The team has claimed that the radius parameters are fixed and can take only one of the five specified values. While it is possible to change the latitude and longitude to get data for multiple locations, the Aarogya Setu team claims that it is not possible to make bulk calls to the API are not possible as it is behind a Web Application firewall. Hacking Aarogya Setu can win you ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh through the Indian government’s ‘bug bounty’ programme

The source code for the Android version of the application is available for review and collaboration on Github. Almost 98 per cent of Aarogya Setu users are on Android platform, it added. The order was passed on Monday, stating that the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the developer of the application, shall collect only such response data which is necessary and proportionate to formulate or implement appropriate health responses. Government protocol says data should be permanently deleted after 180 days The ‘Aarogya Setu Data Access and Knowledge Sharing Protocol, 2020’ states that the government should permanently delete the data after 180 days. Apart from that, the government has mandated that any response data accessed by an authorised body shall ordinarily not be shared with any third party. However, response data may be shared with such third parties only if it is strictly necessary to directly formulate or implement appropriate health responses, it added. Government mandates data anonymisation Further response data may be made available for research purposes by NIC in hard anonymised form. Hard anonymisation refers to a series of technical processes which ensure that any individual is incapable of being identified from the response data through any means reasonably likely to be used to identify such individual. This anonymisation shall be done in accordance with anonymisation protocols that are to be developed, reviewed and updated on a periodic basis by an expert committee appointed by the principal scientific advisor to the Government of India. "Such review shall have regard to the nature and sensitivity of the data being processed, the robustness of the anonymisation protocol and advances in technology. Response data which has undergone hard anonymisation, as under para 8(a), may be made available to Indian universities and research institutions / research entities registered in India," it said. Any violation of these directions may lead to penalties as per section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other legal provisions as may be applicable, as per the protocol. "Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your Cowin vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in," the official handle of the <keyword id="8995296" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="aarogya-setu">Aarogya Setu</keyword> <keyword id="235499" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="APP">app</keyword> tweeted on Wednesday. The CoWIN vaccination certificates are used at the time of travel and helps in the access of several other premises. Earlier, the government had also allowed people who are vaccinated to update their status voluntarily on the Aarogya Setu app through a self-assessment process. Those who have got the single dose of the vaccine will get a single blue border with vaccination status on their home screen along with Aarogya Setu logo with a single tick. A 'Blue Shield' with double tick will appear on the app for those who are fully vaccinated, after 14 days of the second dose. CoWIN now lets you correct errors on your vaccination certificate

<ul><li>The Indian government launched the <keyword id="8995296" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="aarogya-setu">Aarogya Setu</keyword> app to help users stay safe from the Coronavirus pandemic.</li><li>The app uses your location data and Bluetooth information to ascertain if you’ve been in close proximity with a Coronavirus patient.</li><li>The Aarogya Setu app is available for both Android and iOS users.</li></ul>Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech on April 14 urged the people to download the Aarogya Setu app that will help you stay safe during the Coronavirus pandemic. The app developed by the National Informatics Centre is available for both Android and iOS devices and supports 11 languages at the moment, including English and Hindi. The app’s description says that it is aimed at ‘augmenting initiatives of government’ to ‘proactively’ inform citizens about the ‘best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19’. The app uses your location data and Bluetooth information to alert you if you have crossed paths with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus. In addition to alerting you about this, the app will also provide you with instructions on how to self-isolate and what to do if you develop any symptoms.
