A new product that we start to work on can immediately use our existing micro-services (such as single sign-on) instead of having to reinvent the wheel,” Singh said, adding that Zoho’s leadership has been with the company for over a decade. The company now has over 50 apps across every major business category — sales, marketing, customer support, accounting and more. The company claims to have 70 million users across 500,000 companies. Singh also mentioned that Zoho’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology such as natural language processing (NPL) gets adopted across products across these different brands of Zoho. Zoho’s latest offering is an attempt to take on <keyword id="1017386" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="coursera" source="Orion">Coursera</keyword> and <keyword id="2240844" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="udemy" source="Orion">Udemy</keyword> Zoho entered the online learning space with the launch of its latest business vertical TrainerCentral last week. It offers digital platforms to allow individual teachers, solopreneurs and experts in a particular field to offer training online. TrainerCentral — which will be a sister to Zoho’s other brands ManageEngine, Zoho and Qntrl — offers tools like website builder, business administration console, dedicated learner portal, payments gateway, online conferencing and analytics for the trainers. Aarthi Elizabeth, chief brand evangelist of TrainerCentral at Zoho, told Business Insider that Trainer Central is seen as a rival to “Coursera and Udemy” — which enables individuals and universities to offer their courses online. Coursera and Udemy have an entire catalogue of courses being offered online. Meanwhile, Zoho’s TrainerCentral offers a link to trainers who would like to hold live online sessions or classes with their students or customers. Zoho does not have any content ownership, nor any control on the courses being offered to the customers. Zoho is selling its video calling app in as many ways as possible

Referring to the conversational AI platforms like ChatGPT and others, Vembu said that he has been saying internally for the past 4-5 years that "ChatGPT, GPT4, and other AI being created today will first affect the jobs of many programmers". Although there are positive uses of AI, he believes the complexity and depth of this technology are a concern. Vembu recently tweeted from his account, mentioning the economic consequences AI can bring. "I won't focus on the technology itself but on the economic consequences. First of all, if AI was to eliminate all jobs, it means AI is able to produce all the goods and services we need without human labour," he posted. "Where will the jobs come from? In a world where AI made goods and services free, the better question is 'what will humans do?," he noted during a press interaction here. Referring to a global initiative taken by tech billionaire Elon Musk and other top entrepreneurs and researchers against stopping AI experiments for at least six months, the Zoho CEO said he and two other industry leaders had also written an open letter to the central government, calling for an AI policy in the country. This budget for the financial year 2021-22 may see several conventions being broken as the sources said that the traditional 'Halwa' ceremony may also not take place this year or a subdued function may be held with limited gathering. This ceremony, which normally starts around January 20, is attended by all the people involved in budget-making, and marks the beginning of printing. Once printing starts, printing staffers stay inside the press till the presentation of budget. Only a few high-ranked officials are allowed access and that too on the basis of a special identity card. The entire facility, loading-unloading and transportation are manned by the special security forces. This is not the first time that there would be a change in tradition in the presentation of the budget under Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Managements of schools have already been instructed to strictly follow Centre's standard operating procedures to check the spread of COVID-19, he said. Following a significant drop in the number of new COVID-19 cases being reported daily, the state cabinet last week decided to reopen schools for Classes 10 and 12, and colleges for the final year graduation and PG students. It was also announced that students attending schools must get the consent of their parents. The government had also made it clear that attendance will not be mandatory and online classes will continue. Schools, colleges and university campuses across the state were shut after the outbreak of coronavirus in the state in March-end last year. Since then, classes are being held online. Though the government had earlier decided to reopen secondary schools and colleges after the Diwali vacation last year, it eventually dropped the idea following a sudden spike in the daily coronavirus cases at that time. Later, the number of new cases being reported daily started declining from mid-December. As against 1,500 to 1,600 cases emerging in a day in October and November last year, around 700 cases are getting registered daily at present. Washington, US President-elect <keyword id="99719" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Joe-Biden">Joe Biden</keyword> has received the <keyword id="7334317" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="second-dose">second dose</keyword> of the <keyword id="8904563" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="covid-19-vaccine">Covid-19 vaccine</keyword>, four weeks after he was administered the first shot. Biden was injected the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Monday at a hospital in Newark, Delaware, his home state where his transition headquarters are based, He received the first dose on December 21, 2020. Wearing a short-sleeved polo shirt so that the jab can be easily injected into his arm, Biden urged Americans to continue wearing masks, waving a black one of his own. Taking to Twitter, he said: "Folks, I just received the second dose of my Covid-19 vaccine  and just like the first dose, it was safe, quick, and painless. "I urge everyone to get vaccinated once it's your turn. Because only together can we save lives and beat this virus. "Getting America vaccinated will be one of the greatest operational challenges we've ever faced, but my administration will spare no effort to get it done. "We're going to ensure the vaccine is distributed quickly, equitably, and free of charge to every American." The Pfizer vaccine, which, together with the <keyword id="4912868" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="moderna">Moderna</keyword> vaccine, is being distributed across the country after gaining emergency use authorization -- requires two doses to be injected several weeks apart. So does the Moderna vaccine. Biden has recently vowed to release nearly all of the coronavirus vaccines the country now possesses after taking office on January 20, rather than withhold millions of vials to guarantee second doses are available. He also plans to get 100 million Americans vaccinated in his first 100 days in office. While the rollout of vaccines under the administration of outgoing President Donald Trump has been heavily criticised for being so slow that it failed to hit the initial target of delivering 20 million doses by the end of last year, Biden's plan seems to remain fluid, as reports surfaced that the President-elect vented frustration over the under-performance of his own transition team. Asked about his disappointment, Biden shrugged off those concerns by expressing confidence in his coronavirus task force. "I'm confident we can get done what we have to get done," said the President-elect, reiterating that some 3,000 to 4,000 Americans dying of the virus per day is "beyond the pale." Transition officials have complained about the lack of long-term planning by the Trump administration on immunizing the American people. The US distributed some 25.5 million vaccine doses as of Monday morning, and administered nearly 9 million first doses, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The country still leads by a big margin in confirmed cases worldwide, now at 22,612,384, more than doubling the number in second-placed India, according to Johns Hopkins University. The death toll has increased to 376,051, also the highest in the world.
