In an unusual move, the movie is releasing on the streamer without any promotions. No teaser or trailers have been put out by the makers for the film, barring a poster featuring Jaideep and Junaid. They are standing side by side with Ahlawat's character sporting a 'tilak' on his forehead while Junaid's character, reportedly a journalist, is dressed in a waistcoat. A student at Elphinstone College in Mumbai and a protege of the scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji, Mulji wrote on widow remarriage, stood up for the oppressed, and sowed the seeds of reform in society. "It all came to a head in the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862, which was ignited by allegations of misconduct by a prominent figure, the case garnered widespread attention and scrutiny, setting the stage for what many consider to be one of the most significant legal battles of all time," the streamer said. The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the June 14 release of Annu Kapoor's movie "Hamare Baarah" after taking note of allegations that the film is derogatory to the Islamic faith and married Muslim women. The film also underwent a title change (earlier called 'Hum Do Humare Baraah') as per a directive by the Central Board of Film Certification. The boycott calls for "Maharaj" appear to be a recap of what happened with Aamir's film "Laal Singh Chaddha". Many posts calling for a boycott of the 2022 movie recalled an earlier controversy in 2015 when Aamir had said he was alarmed by a number of incidents of growing intolerance in India. Nayanthara-starrer "Annapoorani" also courted controversy for hurting religious sentiments when it became available on Netflix after its theatrical run. The makers eventually pulled down the film from the streamer and the actor issued an apology on social media. "Maharaj" also stars Shalini Pandey with Sharvari in a special appearance. The movie was continuously being played in the cinema since October 19, 1995. 
 Yash Raj Films, the makers of <keyword id="3858" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="DDLJ">DDLJ</keyword> issues a statement that read: "Post the 1000 week celebrations last December, the theatre had requested YRF to pre-pone the DDLJ morning show to 9:15 AM instead of 11:30 AM as it was becoming difficult for the cinema to accommodate multiple new releases every week with just 3 regular shows. Of course YRF obliged from Feb 13 2015. However, while the theatre management was happy to continue the film for as long as it continued to draw in the audiences, owing to logistical issues of their staff having to work inordinately long hours to accommodate an additional early morning show, it was mutually decided to end the films historic &amp; record breaking run. After playing for 1009 uninterrupted weeks, the films unprecedented performance has come to an end at the Maratha Mandir. The film played out in the 9:15 AM show today for the last time at the theatre.” 
 
Because of its 1009-week uninterrupted run, DDLJ has become the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema. This record was earlier held by Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay, which had a 5-year run in Mumbai's Minerva Theatre.

"I'm delighted with the response from the audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I'm happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide," he said. The film's nett day two collection (domestic market) stood at ₹70.5 crore - with ₹68 crore amassed in Hindi, and dubbed formats bringing in additional ₹2.5 crore. As 'Pathaan' tickets sell for Rs 110, SRK says 'phir dekhni padegi'

New Delhi, Mar 4 () ByteDance, which runs short-video platform TikTok, has launched a new music streaming service 'Resso' to take on competitors like Gaana, JioSaavn and Spotify in the Indian market. Resso, which calls itself the world's first social music streaming app, is also looking at expanding its service to Indonesia in the the next few months. "India is the first market where we are rolling out. The app is targeted at 18-24 year olds. It includes many exclusive and easy-to-use social features that will enable these Gen Z users to instantly connect with a larger community," Resso India Head of Music Content and Partnership Hari Nair told . He added that the company is working on expanding to Indonesia over the next few months. For accessing features like downloadable content, unlimited skips and high-quality audio, users will need to upgrade to a monthly premium subscription of Rs 99 for Android and Rs 119 for iOS. The basic app is free for users. Nair said the company's initial focus is on getting more users onboard but declined to comment on specific numbers. Noting that the company has partnered with local and international players, Nair said Resso has also inked deals with labels like Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Merlin and Beggars Group, T-Series, Saregama, Zee Music, YRF Music, Lahiri Music, Divo and Muzik 247, among others. Resso, which allows users to generate content for the 'Vibes' feature, has set up a content moderation team to ensure that that inappropriate content is put up. The app has a scroll format (similar to TikTok) and allows users to discover music content as soon as they open the app. "Gen Z and millennials are at the core of our offering and both music and social networking are central to their daily lives. The relationship between music and the listener is currently passive but with Vibes, comments and other features, Resso aims to transform this through a new and compelling music streaming experience," Nair said. With increasing availability of affordable smartphones and cheap data plans, India is the largest mobile data consumer market globally -- an opportunity that global tech companies are vying to tap into. Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma-starrer Bollywood movie ‘<keyword id="6355056" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sultan">Sultan</keyword>’ released today and Twitter has already become its fan. 
 
The movie, which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, produced by Aditya Chopra and also stars Randeep Hooda, revolved around a wrestler ‘Sultan’, played by Salman, whose arrogance after an Olympic win costs him personally as well as professionally. 
 
Sultan’s story also revolves around how a wrester from a tiny village of Haryana state makes it big in the sport due to his grit and determination. There is also a love-angle in the story in which Anushka is playing a pivotal role, who is also a wrestler in the movie. 
 
The duration of the movie is 2 hours, 50 minutes and has Twitter singing for it.
