An all women business and technology park (WBP) has been inaugurated by IT major <keyword id="10862" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Wipro">Wipro</keyword>, along with <keyword id="152170" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Saudi-Aramco">Saudi Aramco</keyword> and <keyword id="3345936" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Princess-Nourah-University">Princess Nourah University</keyword> (PNU), and is expected to create nearly 21,000 jobs by 2025. 
 Saudi Aramco worked as the strategic advisor and anchor of WBP, which is a JV of PNU (world's largest university for women) and <keyword id="858495" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Wipro-Arabia">Wipro Arabia</keyword>. It would be responsible for developing the facilities and infrastructure at the park set in Riyadh, and would also take care of the training and employment of up to 21,000 Saudi women, said a Wipro statement. 
 
"Dedicated to working women, this business park is a first of its kind project aimed at providing knowledge-based employment for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," it added. 
 
This park is expected to be the largest engineering drafting services, business process services and IT hub in the entire region for industry sectors, which include oil and gas, government, manufacturing, healthcare, telecom and construction. 
 
However, this is not the first of its kind, given that Wipro's larger rival TCS has already established its first all-women Business Process Services (BPS) centre in Riyadh in 2013, where 1,000 women work in BPO operations, amongst whom 85% are Saudi nationals. 
 Wipro’s Chairman <keyword id="6419840" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Azim-Premji">Azim Premji</keyword> said that it is the company's endeavour to foster an environment that encourages and enables more women to participate in business and tap their leadership potential. 
 
"It has been more than a decade since Wipro began its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and localisation has always been an important aspect of our business strategy here," he added.

<keyword id="3001" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pakistan">Pakistan</keyword> and <keyword id="12266" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nepal">Nepal</keyword> have been re-elected to the <keyword id="55072" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="UN-Human-Rights-Council">UN Human Rights Council</keyword>, while <keyword id="1334" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="China">China</keyword> won a seat by the smallest margin showing a drastic drop in standing. In Tues'ay's voting at the General Assembly China received only 139 votes compared to the 180 it received in 2016, the last time it was elected to the Council and its tally of votes was the lowest of the 15 countries elected. Human Rights Watch's UN Director Louis Charbonneau tweeted that it "shows more states are disturbed by China's abysmal rights record." Saudi Arabia was defeated in the elections for the four seats up for vote to represent Asian and Pacific countries getting only 90 votes, seven shy of the 97 required for election. Its popularity also showed a drastic fall because it had won 152 votes in 2016 when it was last elected to the Council. Russia, which was defeated in 2016 by two votes having received only 112, made a comeback getting 158 votes, although technically it ran unopposed this time for one of the two East Europe seats. Ukraine, its regional adversary, ran unopposed for the other seat. Pakistan got 169 votes in the election held by secret paper ballot with COVID-19 precautions, and Nepal 150. The two South Asian countries are members of the council with their current terms ending on December 31 and will now serve for three more years. Uzbekistan was the fourth country elected from the Asia Pacific region with 169 votes. <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> and Bangladesh are also a member of the council last elected in 2018 to the term starting in 2019 and running out at the end of next year. France, Britain, Cuba and Mexico were among the 15 countries elected on Tuesday to represent other regions at the 47-member council based in Geneva. Saudi Arabia's defeat was a surprise and although its human rights record has been criticised, it is considered to have broad support having received 152 votes in 2016 when it was last elected. Although by a smaller margin, China won despite its human rights record, especially its treatment of the Uighur Muslim minority, and the opposition of several countries and human rights groups. The critics cite the resolution set up in 2006, which said, "Human Rights Council members shall uphold the highest standards in the promotion of human rights." A group of 39 countries led by Germany issued a strong criticism of China last week at the UN. The statement said they were "gravely concerned about the human rights situation in Xinjiang and the recent developments in Hong Kong." Pakistan and Nepal re-elected to UN Human Rights Council, as China barely manages to hang on

Leading <keyword id="34523" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="fmcg" source="Orion">FMCG</keyword> and ayurvedic products maker <keyword id="62997" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dabur" source="Orion">Dabur</keyword> is planning to set up a new <keyword id="6368585" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="factory" source="Orion">factory</keyword> in <keyword id="6355466" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="south-india" source="Orion">South India</keyword> in less than a year's time, as its <keyword id="6355515" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="business" source="Orion">business</keyword> scales in the region, according to company's CEO Mohit Malhotra. Dabur, which now gets 20 per cent of its domestic sales from South India with its business there doubling in the last 5-6 years, is identifying gaps and usages to launch products customised to the markets, he told PTI in an interview. The company, having 13 manufacturing units across the country, is augmenting its capacity further to meet the demand and is diversifying its manufacturing activities by adding new lines, he added. Dabur India, which has an annual capex of around Rs 350-450 crore, also plans to expand its manufacturing activities in the international markets catering to regions such as the Middle East and Europe. Besides, the company is consolidating its manufacturing operations and has shut down some units where tax sunsets are coming in, and opening new units where GST regime is coming in, Malhotra added. On Dabur's business in South India, Malhotra said,"We have made substantial progress in South India... it now contributes 19 to 20 per cent of Dabur's domestic business. This was not even 10 per cent around seven to eight years back and thus contribution from the Southern region has doubled." When asked about the new plant in South India, Malhotra said,"I do not think it's a few years away. Maybe it is a year away .Within a year, we might plan something for South of India as business scales up." Dabur's last investment to open a new unit was at Indore, where it had invested around Rs 350 crore. In the southern market, several FMCG makers, including Wipro have jumped into the food segment with relevant regional offerings. Dabur is identifying gaps there to launch customised products. "We are creating a framework in the company where we can create products which are exclusively meant for the South of India for which we have got this framework called RISE, which is regional insights, speed and execution," said Malhotra. Some brands such as Dabur Red, contribute 40 per cent of its business in South India and Dabur Honey and Odonil are very salient there, he added. "So we are looking at a lot of pollination of products in South of India to increase our saliency," he said. However, Malhotra also added that in comparison with other FMCG makers having a saliency of 30 per cent, Dabur's salience is in the range of 20 per cent. "So there is a huge gap of 10 to 15 per cent to be covered in the South. That is an area that will be our focus for geographical growth," he added. Talking on international markets, he said MENA (Middle East &amp; North Africa) is the largest market and a "growth frontier". It has a manufacturing facility in the UAE and uses the Greater Arab Free Trade Area Agreement (GAFTA) to cater to Saudi Arabia. "If Saudi Arabia opens up and scales up, we might look at a manufacturing unit even in Saudi Arabia. We have another second unit in Egypt, which is the second largest market after Saudi Arabia," he said. Dabur uses Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) while manufacturing in Egypt and supplying to East Africa. Dabur also has a factory in Turkiye, which ships to European markets. It also has a factory in South Africa which caters to SADC (Country / Southern African Development Community) markets of 12 countries. While in the US, it has a contract manufacturer, which also caters to the Canadian market. "Business is doing well in international markets. There is a recovery after Covid but geopolitical issues are always there," said Malhotra while referring to trouble brewing in the Middle East, and the Russia-Ukraine War.
