As per the company’s press note, OfBusiness was valued at more than $1.5 billion. A unicorn, in startup lingo, is a private firm valued at or more than a billion dollars. Apart from helping SMEs to source raw materials, the business-to-business (B2B) startup also gives credit of up to ₹2 crore to these small and medium scale entrepreneurs. This is done through its non-banking financial company (NBFC) platform Oxyzo Financial Services. Other than SoftBank, its existing investors Matrix Partners India and Falcon Edge Capital also put in money in this round of funding, as per the press statement. PUBG developer Krafton to raise $3.7 billion through IPO next month

The Delhi administration on Friday sounded an "alert" as the water level of the Yamuna in the capital rose to 205.22 metres, precariously close to the 'danger mark' of 205.33 metres, as rains continued to pound northwest India, officials said. The irrigation and flood control department has deployed 13 boats in different areas and put 21 others on standby. With Haryana discharging more water into the river from the <keyword id="404626" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hathnikund-Barrage">Hathnikund Barrage</keyword>, the <keyword id="6358992" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Police">Delhi Police</keyword> and the East Delhi district administration have started evacuating people living on the floodplains of the Yamuna in the capital. "These people are being shifted to shelter homes of the city government in the Yamuna Pushta area," an official said. The water level was recorded at 205.22 at the Old Railway Bridge at 8:30 am. It was 203.74 metres at 8:30 pm on Thursday. "The water level was 205.10 metres at 6 am and 205.17 at 7 am," the official said, adding it is likely to rise further. A flood alert is declared when the Yamuna crosses the "warning mark" of 204.50 metres. The situation is being monitored round-the-clock, a district administration official said. The river is in spate because of rains in Delhi and the upper catchment areas, a MeT department official said, adding it may swell further as more rains are predicted in northwest India. The weather department has also issued an "orange alert" for moderate rains in Delhi-NCR for the third day on the trot on Friday. According to the Delhi flood control room, the discharge rate at the Hathnikund Barrage peaked to 1.60 lakh cusecs on Tuesday afternoon, the highest this year so far. The water discharged from the barrage normally takes two-three days to reach the capital. Haryana had been releasing water from the Yumananagr-located barrage at the rate of 19,056 cusecs at 8 am. The flow rate was 25,839 cusecs at 8 pm on Thursday. Normally, the flow rate at the Hathnikund barrage is 352 <keyword id="6659875" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Cusec">cusec</keyword>, but the discharge is increased after heavy rainfall in catchment areas. One cusec is equivalent to 28.32 litres per second. In 2019, the flow rate had peaked to 8.28 <keyword id="11720268" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="lakh-cusec">lakh cusec</keyword> on August 18-19, and the water level of the Yamuna had hit the 206.60 metre-mark, breaching the danger mark of 205.33 metres. The Delhi government had to launch evacuation and relief operations after the overflowing river submerged many low-lying areas. In 1978, the river had swelled to the all-time record water level of 207.49 metres. In 2013, it had risen to 207.32 metres. District administration begins evacuating people living near Yamuna as water level reaches 'danger mark'

The person-specific, and purpose-specific, payment solution is developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) platform in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the National Health Authority. What is e-RUPI? According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, e-RUPI is a cashless and contactless digital payment e-voucher in the form of a QR code or SMS string delivered to the beneficiary's mobile phone. The e-voucher can be redeemed at the service provider without needing a card, digital payment app or internet banking service. The e-RUPI is a one-time payment mechanism that does not require any physical interface for transactions and is considered safe as it's prepaid in nature. It ensures that the payment to the service provider is made only after the transaction is completed without involving any intermediary. How is e-RUPI different from a virtual currency? e-RUPI can be used to make payments to a specific person, for a specific purpose, and is not transferable. On the other hand, a virtual or digital currency is just like normal currency but in digital form and can be used for any transaction. How are these vouchers issued? The vouchers will be issued by partner banks but the bank account details of the beneficiary are not needed. NPCI has built the e-RUPI system on its UPI platform and anyone who needs to issue the voucher would need to approach partner banks with issuing authority. Entities giving the e-RUPI voucher will have to submit the details of specific beneficiaries and the purpose of the payment to the banks. The beneficiary's identification will be based on their mobile number and name. What's the need for e-RUPI? The Indian government says that e-RUPI is expected to ensure a leak-proof delivery of welfare services and minimise fraud and corruption. Since it removes the middlemen and there's no direct cash involved, it eliminates the possibility of the fund being used for a purpose other than intended. It can be used for delivering services under government welfare schemes like drugs and nutritional support under Mother and Child welfare schemes, TB eradication programmes, drugs and diagnostics under schemes like Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, fertiliser subsidies etc. Not only government schemes but the voucher can also be used by the private sector for employee welfare and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. e-RUPI explained —  India’s new electronic voucher-based payment system to reduce leakage in welfare programmes

Flood flows on South Island's Buller River this month were the largest in New Zealand in almost 100 years, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) announced on Thursday. NIWA hydrodynamics scientist Richard Measures said records show even larger flooding of the Buller River in 1926, reports Xinhua news agency. "It's not the largest river in New Zealand but it does experience the biggest flood flows. The flood levels through the Buller gorge are incredible," he said. NIWA environmental monitoring technician Mike O'Driscoll used a radar gun from the Westport and Orowaiti bridges to measure the speed of the Buller River at its surface on July 17. These measurements, coupled with surveys of the riverbed level carried out from a jetboat after the flood, provided the data for flood flow calculations at the bridges. As the bridges were being closed, the measurements showed a flow of 7,640 cubic meters per second, the largest direct measurement of river flow ever completed in New Zealand. The previous record was a flow measurement of 5,870 cubic metres per second taken in the Grey River in 1988. As a comparison the mean flow of the Buller River is 454 cubic metres per second. Meanwhile, a NIWA monitoring station on the Buller River at Te Kuha, about 10 km upstream, was continuously recording water levels throughout the flood. The monitoring station is part of NIWA's national network of benchmark hydrometric monitoring stations as well as being a key flood forecasting site for the West Coast Regional Council. Because of its importance, the site has three independent monitoring systems in place - one sensor system to provide rapid updates during floods, plus primary and back-up sensors to record data for future analysis. However, the magnitude of the flood meant debris knocked two sensors out of action, leaving only the back-up providing real time information to inform emergency management decisions. The water level at Te Kuha peaked at 12.8 metres at 1.35 p.m. on July 17, several hours ahead of the peak flooding in Westport. In the 1970 flood the flood peak was 11.9 metres. This was the biggest flood recorded since the Te Kuha monitoring site was established in 1963. "We can confidently say that the recent flood flows in the Buller River are the highest of any river in New Zealand since 1926, when historic records and photographs of flooding show an even bigger flood on the Buller," Measures said. Work is now ongoing to gather more data to refine the flood analysis and NIWA's flood flow forecasting tool. Repairs to the monitoring systems have already been completed. "Observations from this flood will help ground truth the inundation and impact models used in the program ensuring we have a more accurate understanding of the risks we face," Measures said. the other hand, the current negative sentiment in the market gives another reason for investors to stay away from IPOs. IPOs are taking away too much liquidity from the market. In the last week, four IPOs which came in took away ₹16,800 crore of liquidity, said Jyoti Roy, deputy vice president, equity Strategist at <keyword id="103837" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="angel-broking" source="Orion">Angel Broking</keyword>. “IPOs will probably have to wait for some time for market sentiment to improve. Now IPOs need to ensure they do not crowd the market at one time because that will lead to liquidity crunch. Investors will become more choosy after the scenario,” he added. On the other hand, analysts at Angel Broking said that while valuations of the company are capturing all positives, promoter picking up 25 lakh shares in the company at ₹10 per share before the IPO is a concern.
