Los Angeles, American streamer Hulu has started developing a new version of popular series "<keyword id="16897" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="prison-break" source="Orion">Prison Break</keyword>". According to news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, the new show is currently in the early stages of development and hails from "Mayans MC" showrunner Elgin James. <br /><br />If given a go-ahead, the latest iteration would be set in the same world as "Prison Break", which ran on Fox network for five seasons and also spawned a TV movie. <br /><br />The story, however, would not follow the central characters from the original show, played by <keyword id="16918" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="wentworth-miller" source="Orion">Wentworth Miller</keyword> and Dominic Purcell. <br /><br />The new installment is backed by 20th Television, and will be executive produced by James alongside Dawn Olmstead, Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. <br /><br />Created by Scheuring, "Prison Break" follows Lincoln Burrows (Purcell), who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and his brother Michael Scofield (Miller), who hatches a plan to help Lincoln escape from prison. <br /><br />The series also starred <keyword id="2525119" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="robin-tunney" source="Orion">Robin Tunney</keyword>, <keyword id="1529034" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="peter-stormare" source="Orion">Peter Stormare</keyword>, Amaury Nolasco, Marshall Allman, <keyword id="19369597" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="wade-williams" source="Orion">Wade Williams</keyword> and Paul Adelstein.

Wentworth Miller says he's done with 'Prison Break' and playing straight characters

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where <keyword id="6360040" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="people">people</keyword> like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly.</p>

The 'Arrow' and 'Flash' spinoff 'Legends of Tomorrow' looks amazing

On the night of the breakout, Michael (and 7 other criminals who weaseled their way into the plan) climb through the hole in the wall, and squirrel through the innermost pathways of the prison, ducking into sewer pipes, underground tunnels and long-abandoned rooms.</span></p><p><span>The home stretch is a thick bundle of wires that stretches from the prison to the wall that separates it from the outside world.</span></p><p><span>Most of them get out, some do not. But the principal characters, Michael and Lincoln are free and running for their lives. The similarities between the New York max security prison break and the show 'Prison Break' are unreal

<p>The company will check the popularity of shows on file-sharing websites when considering whether to buy broadcasting rights, an Netflix executive said.</p>
<p>Speaking ahead of the company's launch in the Netherlands, Netflix Vice President of Content Acquisition Kelly Merryman discussed the role sites such as BitTorrent have in purchase decisions.</p>
<p>"With the purchase of series, we look at what does well on piracy sites," she said a recent interview with <a href="http://tweakers.net/nieuws/91282/netflix-baseert-aanbod-deels-op-populariteit-videos-op-piraterijsites.html">Tweakers</a> .</p>
<p>Explaining the acquisition of rights to the show Prison Break in the Netherlands, she said: "Prison Break is exceptionally popular on piracy sites."</p>
<p>Prison Break is an American television series starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell which was broadcast on Fox for four seasons between 2005 and 2009.</p>
<p>Traditionally Netflix, one of world's leading video streaming sites, is seen as a rival provider to sites that offer films and television shows to download without the owners' permission.</p>
<p>Yet recent comments from another Netflix executive, CEO Reed Hastings, suggest that the company can actually benefit from the additional demand created by so-called "torrent sites".</p>
<p>"Certainly there's some torrenting that goes on, and that's true around the world, but some of that just creates the demand," Hastings said.</p>
<p>Netflix can then attempt to upsell some of those users with the offer of better overall watching experience.</p>
<p>"Netflix is so much easier than torrenting. You don't have to deal with files, you don't have to download them and move them around. You just click and watch," he said, according to <a href="http://torrentfreak.com/netflix-uses-pirate-sites-to-determine-what-shows-to-buy-130914/">TorrentFreak</a> .</p>
<p>Indeed three years after Netflix launched in Canada there is evidence that traffic to BitTorrent has halved, according to Hastings.</p>
<p>While Netflix remains heavily reliant on broadcasting shows created by other production companies, it has begun creating its own programmes.</p>
<p>Earlier this year the website premiered the political drama House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey as scheming Congressman Frank Underwood.</p>
<p>The first season's 13 episodes were released all at once for customers to watch immediately. A second season has been commissioned.</p>
