Flipkart sells Cleartrip's Middle East business to travel marketplace Wego

China-based ByteDance which is the parent company of <keyword id="6762469" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="TikTok">TikTok</keyword>, has reportedly started selling the AI technology of the short video-making app to other companies, including in <keyword id="3658" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> where the app is banned.<br /><br /><br />The <keyword id="35662" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="financial-times">Financial Times</keyword> reports that the company has kicked off a new devision called BytePlus and is selling TikTok AI to companies like India-based social gaming platform GamesApp, US fashion app Goat, Singapore travel site <keyword id="325017" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Wego">WeGo</keyword>, Indonesian shopping app Chilibeli, among others.<br /><br />In 2020, the Indian government banned several apps developed by Chinese firms, including TikTok, over concerns that these apps were engaging in activities that threatened the national security and defence of the country.<br /><br />Last month, Nikhil Gandhi, the <keyword id="114975" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="India-head">India Head</keyword> of <keyword id="1334" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="China">China</keyword>'s ByteDance-owned short video-sharing platform TikTok, decided to quit. It's a point of pride for Nashvillians.</p><p>I've bumped into Taylor Swift at a cupcake shop and advised Steven Tyler on what brand of peanut butter he should get at Whole Foods (Justin's, of course). </p><p>So while you visit, if you see Reese Witherspoon visiting her 12th <keyword id="11896803" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="south" source="Orion">South</keyword> boutique or Blake Shelton checking on his Broadway bar, do your best to be polite. </p><h2><strong>It's worth treating yourself to food from Nashville's celebrity chefs</strong></h2><p>Although there are plenty of delicious spots that boast a bang for your buck (many of which are named above), it's worth spending a little extra to partake in Nashville's star-studded food scene.</p><p>Visit Food Network star Maneet Chauhan's <a href="https://www.chauhannashville.com/">Chauhan Ale and Masala House</a> for takes on Indian classics like tandoori chicken poutine. It also exemplifies a much greater issue in Southern foodways with white chefs taking credit for and profiting off of Black ingenuity. </p><p>It's believed that the dish was created <a href="https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2016/04/28/471436355/how-a-cheating-husband-gave-rise-to-nashvilles-hot-chicken-craze">by the Prince family decades ago</a> when local casanova Thorton Prince got in trouble with his partner for coming home too late. As a <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2019/apr/17/even-the-royal-family-enjoys-it-how-the-nashville-hot-chicken-trend-began-princes">punishment</a>, she supposedly added a bunch of hot pepper to his fried chicken — but it ended up being delicious. </p><p>Because of segregation in the city both officially (until the mid-1960s) and unofficially since, hot chicken was a favorite in <a href="https://www.mashed.com/140853/the-untold-truth-of-nashville-hot-chicken/">Nashville's Black community</a> for many decades but was widely unrecognized outside of it.</p><p>This has changed in the past decade or so and André Prince Jeffries, queen of hot chicken and current owner of the original <a href="https://www.princeshotchicken.com/">Prince's Hot Chicken Shack</a>, has <a href="https://www.tennessean.com/story/money/2018/12/20/hot-chicken-nashville-history-princes/2205083002/">encouraged the competition</a> from other restaurants — but has suggested visitors remember the creators of the dish. </p><p>And I definitely think it's worth making the trip to Prince's to get the original hot chicken.</p>

<br /> India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer <keyword id="108831" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="TVS-Motor-Company">TVS Motor Company</keyword> expects to increase its market share in the <keyword id="1107521" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="scooter-segment">scooter segment</keyword> from 15% to 18% in two months.<br />
<br /> With the launch of <keyword id="62356" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="TVS">TVS</keyword> Scooty Zest 110, the company is looking at monthly sale of 75,000 scooters, up from current level of 60,000. The total volume of the scooter market in the country is 3.5 lakh per month.<br />
<br /> According to JS <keyword id="45963" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Srinivasan">Srinivasan</keyword>, TVS vice-president, sales, the company expects a growth of over 30% in the overall sales volume during the current financial year. This is driven by a robust growth in the country’s two-wheeler market and the new launches by the company. The firm, which launched several models so far, plans two more later this fiscal.<br />

“The scooter range has been positioned to address different segments, such as Jupiter for male, TVS Wego as a sleek two-wheeler for husband/wife and the Scooty for young women,” said Srinivasan.<br />

In addition to this, TVS also plans to unveil two more motorcycles-- a commuter segment bike and another in the performance category--during the year.<br />

Last year, the company sold about 17.5 lakh two-wheelers in the domestic market and expects this number to surpass 22 lakh mark.<br />

It is worth mentioning that the scooter segment is growing at a higher rate than the two-wheeler industry. The growth in the segment last year was 24% and in the first five months of this fiscal it was 30%, double than the growth in the two-wheeler industry.<br />

TVS Prepares To Increase Market Share In Scooter Segment This Fiscal

<p><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Airbus,</span> the €50 billion (£36 billion, $56 billion) French aircraft maker, has potentially uncovered a number of inventions that could transform the aviation industry in the future.</p><p>After receiving around 500 submissions for its "<a href="https://www.airbus-fyi.com/">Fly Your Ideas</a>" competition this year, to seek out ideas from students with a mix of engineering and non-engineering backgrounds, Airbus unearthed a number of pretty incredible innovations that could be created, patented and implemented in aerospace production. </p><p>The five finalists' inventions were so cool that a senior Airbus engineer walked Business Insider through the blueprints. </p><p><span><span>"The competition isn't for us to steal people's ideas and make a massive profit from it, we have been very clear from the start that the intellectual property is owned by the students and the academic insitutions they come from," <span>said Professor Ian Lane, senior expert, composite analysis at Airbus to Business Insider. "This is our version of an outreach programme that can generate and inspire the next world generation of engineers and <span>potentially create some industry changing innovations in the process. Students are a freethinking bunch."</span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Airbus invests €2 billion (£1.4 billion, $2.2 billion) a year in research and development and files over 600 patents a year. </span>Some of the ideas are pretty cool and could make the grade for future production.</span></span></span></span></p><p><strong>Drones and "Birdport"</strong></p><p>Team Birdport from the University of Tokyo, Japan, proposes <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">deploying a flock of drones or UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) to guide birds from airports to a comfortable habitat nearby. </span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">It is aimed at significantly reducing the number of bird strikes to aircraft and also enhancing aircraft availability. </span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The drones use tactics of "separation, alignment and cohesion" to manipulate flocks and divert them to Birdport, which is a natural habitat where birdsong and decoys are used.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Professor Lane said that this was the first time a drone concept had been entered into the competition, which takes place every two years.<br /></span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;"> </span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p><strong>Energy-harvesting skin</strong></p><p>Team Multifun from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands has the idea of dressing the plane wings with a composite skin that <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">harvests energy from natural vibrations or flex in the wings. Using piezoelectric fibres, electrical charges are gathered by even the smallest movements during flight.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The energy can then be stored in battery panels integrated in the fuselage and can be used to power auxiliary in-flight systems, such as lighting and entertainment systems. One is studying Business/Finance/Management and the other two are engineering students.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The group proposes to use a "WEGO" system that </span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">picks up energy during taxiing.
