However, it has been smaller businesses and individuals who have had to face the brunt. Due to the lockdown, many small businesses had to shut shop. However, this is when a lot of bigger organizations stepped up to support the SME segment by coming up with strategies that could help them stay afloat during these difficult times. Vistaprint India is an e-commerce platform for custom printing services for individuals and small business owners to help them create a professional identity. While Vistaprint is a part of a global company with roots in the Netherlands, in India, it has focused on small businesses, individuals and corporate. They manufacture all their products locally with the help of local workers and employees. We recently spoke to Bharath Sastry, CEO of Vistaprint India on how the organization has been working towards making things easy for its stakeholders during these difficult times. He also told us that the biggest lessons for him as a leader from the lockdown months were the importance of focus, adaptability and positivity. Excerpts: Q) It's been 6 years since Vistaprint came to India. How has your journey been so far? It has essentially been a journey of 3 things for us. Focus, Expansion and Fun. Focus was about articulating the strategic areas where we will play and where we can win, namely an online platform for customized products. We have expanded across products, categories &amp; geographies and have been able to drive significant profitable growth in the last 3-4 years. And had lots of fun doing so. Q) What has your focus been in India? We are the leading online player for customized products in India. In this area, our focus has mainly been on building the Vistaprint brand, launching relevant new products and categories on our platform, improving <keyword id="1284549" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Customer-Experience">customer experience</keyword> on our site, consistent focus on quality improvement, and evolving into a high-performing organization. Q) How did the lockdown impact the organization and your overall business in the past few months? What were the challenges you faced? We have seen a significant impact during the most intense phase of the lockdown. The key challenge was the slump in demand. However, once the unlock has started we have started to see rising levels of demand. I firmly believe that companies with solid foundations, namely brands that connect with customers, a focused business strategy, healthy variable margins, and people who are adaptable will come out from the situation stronger. And we are well on that journey. Q) Your focus in India has been on smaller businesses. Since the lockdown made it difficult for a lot of these businesses, how did you contribute in smoothing things out for them? Our customers are diverse – small businesses, medium &amp; large businesses and individuals. Basically, anyone who is looking to customize or personalize their products. We have been able to innovate during the lockdown and launch a significant number of design templates relevant to Covid, which our customers can easily access. Apart from this we have launched masks and gloves to encourage safety and our customers can also have fun personalizing them. Q) How do you drive differentiation in the category? I believe there is no single bullet but a combination of different things. We provide our customers a wide selection of high-quality products with single/ low unit customization at affordable prices from the convenience of their home or office. Q) Who is your primary target audience? Do you have a lot of consumers in smaller cities too? Our users cut across small businesses, medium/ large businesses as well as individuals who are looking to personalize products. We have a large range of categories that perform well, our top categories are Visiting Cards, Apparel like T shirts and Shirts, Stationery, Signs, Pens, Mugs, Photo albums, and now Masks etc. We cater to all geographies in the country, and while we started gaining traction in the larger cities initially, the growths of our tier 2 and smaller towns have picked up in the last couple of years. Q) What kind of growth have you witnessed in the past year? Where do you want to take the company in the next few years? We have seen our business grow multiple times in the last 3-4 years. This scale has helped us also improve our profitability. We intend to continue the journey of strengthening our fundamentals which will drive both growths and profits in the future. Q) While you have been present here for 6 years, you haven't been very visible in terms of advertising. Any plans of increasing your ad/marketing spends in the next few quarters? We haven’t been present on traditional media like TV, print often but the customers we address are online, hence we have invested significantly on brand building on our digital platforms, namely YouTube, Facebook and other popular channels. Among our target audience, our brand awareness has quadrupled over the last 3-4 years. Currently we are airing a clutter breaking video of a tailor impressing his father-in-law by showing his professionalism. Q) As a leader, what have you learnt from the entire lockdown period? To me, the lockdown period has re-emphasized the 3 vital aspects relevant to business leaders in today’s times. 1) Focus – continue to maintain or further enhance focus on the strategic areas where your business can win. 2) Adaptability – in an ever-changing world, a trait which has become increasingly important for business leaders is adaptability. To me, it’s a combination of the will to act and a flexible temperament. 3) Positivity – maintaining a positive environment even in the toughest of times builds encouragement and endurance amongst team members, so keep smiling.

It put up a strong show in the second quarter, led by strong revenue growth and margin expansion. Adjusted profit has risen 20% over last quarter, which excludes legal claim provisions amounting to around $165 million in TCS’ ongoing case against <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/corporates/news/tcs-420-million-punitive-damages-ruled-excessive-by-us-court-to-be-reassessed-for-a-second-time/articleshow/77670645.cms">Epic Systems</a>. The overall profit after tax stands at ₹7,475 crore, up 6.7% over the last three months. India’s largest IT services company has also logged in revenue growth of 4.8% sequentially in constant currency. Consolidated revenues grew by 4.7% to ₹40,135 crore on a quarterly basis, while strong deal closures amounted to $8.6 billion. “The $8.6 billion also includes $2.5 billion with Phoenix systems, which was announced a few quarters back, but the contract got executed this quarter. Excluding that, it’s still a very herding $6.1 billion,” said TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan. Margins remain strong, expanding by 2.2% yearly to 26.2% this quarter. "What we are witnessing right now is the start of the first phase of a multi-year technology transformation cycle,” said TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan. TCS’ attrition is also at an all-time low of 8.9% as it adds 9,964 employees to its roster and plans to start rolling out salary hikes from October 1. The board of directors has approved the buyback of 53 million equity shares worth ₹16,000 crore. It amounts to around 1.42% of the total paid-up equity capital at ₹3,000 per share. The company will also be doling out ₹12 per ₹1 equity share as a second interim dividend for shareholders. There’s also a change of guard afoot with TCS CFO V Ramakrishnan set to step down on April 30, 2021. The company has chosen Samir Seksaria, who is currently the vice-president of finance, as his successor. Seksaria has been with the company since 1991 and has held various positions within the organisation in business consulting and finance in that time. TCS continues its winning streak Analysts expected a good quarter for the company after it wrapped up around ten new deals over the last three months. The numbers are also a big step up from the previous quarter when the company posted a dip of 6.3% in its revenue and profit took a hit of 13%. TCS announces ₹16,000 crore buyback — strong show in Q2 with 7% rise in profit, margins near two-year high

Criteo claimed it had lost business because SteelHouse used a method to falsely take last click credit for visits to retailer's web pages.</li><li>SteelHouse denies the claims. In July, <a href="http://uk.businessinsider.com/steelhouse-files-counterclaims-against-criteo-2016-7?pundits_only=0&amp;get_all_comments=1&amp;no_reply_filter=1?r=US&amp;IR=T">SteelHouse responded by filing counterclaims</a>, alleging the suit was an attempt to "bully a smaller company." SteelHouse said it has a "unique business model," which doesn't just focus on clicks. The countersuit also alleged Criteo "regularly injects adware" into users' personal computers, serves ad impressions through that adware, and buys inventory from "non-reputable sources" in order to drive up its click numbers.</li></ul>On Monday, Criteo filed further documents to support its request for the court to impose an injunction on SteelHouse, which would prevent it from continuing to carry out such alleged behavior. Criteo is also seeking damages. (You can read&#xa0;the reply filed with the courthouse below.)As well as dismissing SteelHouse's counterclaims, Criteo has also persuaded five former clients of SteelHouse to sign declarations to demonstrate how they were, in Criteo's words, "deceived" by SteelHouse's actions.In a statement, Criteo said:"On August 15, 2016, Criteo filed papers in further support of its request to the Court to enjoin SteelHouse from its continued misconduct as well as to dismiss SteelHouse's baseless counterclaims, which are nothing more than an attempt to divert attention from SteelHouse's own wrongdoing and sham explanations for it. Criteo alleges that SteelHouse used a counterfeit click fraud scheme to trick e-tail clients into thinking that internet users clicked on SteelHouse-placed ads when they did not, and, consequently, to take credit for online sales attributable to Criteo, other online marketing vendors, and from e-tail clients' own direct internet traffic. In support of these allegations, Criteo filed a Motion for Preliminary Injunction with substantial supporting evidence documenting SteelHouse's behavior."In Opposition to Criteo's Preliminary Injunction Motion, SteelHouse claimed it was entitled to engage in this conduct and that its conduct is acceptable industry practice. SteelHouse clients have responded with sworn testimony showing that this is false. These clients have offered specific and detailed testimony to explain how they were deceived by SteelHouse, and industry experts have also submitted sworn statements clearly demonstrating that SteelHouse's conduct is not acceptable industry practice. SteelHouse's conduct has irreparably harmed, and continues to irreparably harm, Criteo, its clients, and the online <keyword id="35666" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="advertising">advertising</keyword> industry as a whole. Criteo will continue to vigorously prosecute its claims against SteelHouse in an attempt to stop SteelHouse's misconduct."SteelHouse&#xa0;provided Business Insider this statement:&#xa0;"Criteo's response in its latest filing finally frames the actual debate at hand without the inflammatory accusations. When you boil it down, the debate is about flexibility. SteelHouse offers flexible attribution support; Criteo doesn't."<h2>Here is a summary of the five former SteelHouse Client's declarations:</h2>VistaPrint channel marketing lead, Elyse Burns:VistaPrint had carried out its own investigation using a web developer debugging system to see whether SteelHouse was falsely attributing clicks.Burns navigated to the VistaPrint site via search and left the browser on overnight. The declaration states she discovered that, without taking any action, the browser had reloaded the webpage on its own. As a result, the visit no longer had tracking code reflecting that she had reached the site by search, but instead reflected the visit occurred as the result of a SteelHouse ad, according to the declaration.Burns declaration claims SteelHouse "stole credit" for those clicks,&#xa0;which led to&#xa0;a reduction in the revenue it distributed to other ad tech vendors.VistaPrint senior specialist in external marketing, Leah Bliss: Bliss' declaration states VistaPrint discovered SteelHouse used "malicious code to make it appear as though an internet user clicked on a SteelHouse-placed advertisement, even though no such click occurred."Upon discovery of this, VistaPrint terminated its contract with SteelHouse, according to the declaration.BodyBuilding.com manager of information delivery and analysis, Aaron Bostrom:Bostrom's declaration states that BodyBuilding.com ran a head-to-head comparison of SteelHouse and Criteo. SteelHouse won the&#xa0;comparison, so BodyBuilding.com stopped using Criteo.But then Bostrom became suspicious. According to the declaration, BodyBuilding.com found more than half of SteelHouse's clicks registered on a second-page visit after a user had previously navigated to that page. That's confusing because usually a click would lead to the first page: you see an ad, click it, and get directed for the site.For a second-page visit to have occured, the user would have to have been on the site already, navigated away, be served an ad, then quickly navigate back. The declaration also claims that these second-page clicks were occurring "rapidly," typically within 80 seconds of a user first visiting the site."While such behavior is not impossible, it is highly improbable," the declaration says.Bostrom says in the declaration he was told by SteelHouse this behavior was the result of a "bug" that had been fixed in May. But BodyBuilding.com decided to serve SteelHouse a service suspension and demand a full refund.Toms former online demand generation manager, Anna HordovAfter being given $15,000 of free media to trial SteelHouse's services, Toms decided to stop using Criteo exclusively and split its budget between the two as a result.For a brief time, Toms paused its activity with Criteo but found that SteelHouse's conversion rates did not improve, despite it being its sole retargeting supplier during the period, according to the declaration.In January, Criteo provided analysis showing that, directly after a click on a different marketing channel, SteelHouse would fire its own code so it would look as though a user had clicked on one of its ads, according to the declaration.Hordov says in the declaration: "I spent months believing that SteelHouse's numbers was based solely on clicks and post-click conversions. SteelHouse's conduct made it appear to perform better than it actually was performing. Toms made spending allocation decisions and marketing vendor choices based on SteelHouse's inflated performance."Deckers director of ecommerce, marketing and merchandising, Jackson Graham McCulloch:Deckers decided to switch from Criteo to SteelHouse after performing a head-to-head comparison between the two, according to the declaration.Criteo then contacted Deckers in May to point out alleged data irregularities within SteelHouse's tracking codes, according to the declaration.&#xa0;Deckers looked at its Adobe log files and found that more than 50% of SteelHouse-attributed clicks followed 10 seconds after a page view, the declaration states. McCulloch says in the declaration this showed an "unrealistic" amount of time for someone to leave the site, go to another site, be served an ad, and then click on it.The declaration states: "SteelHouse's practice of inserting a code into an internet user's browser to make a view of an advertisement appear indistinguishable from a click on Decker's Adobe Analytics system is not, in any way, common or acceptable industry practice. Nor should it be because it is deceptive."The case continues. But tradition mandates that we all ship out cheery year-end dispatches to our friends and family each December. So which online card-designing service will make the process as smooth as possible? I picked out one very awkward close-up of my face, opened up my laptop, and found out. I designed simple holiday cards on five different sites and rated each company on five criteria: price, card quality, available designs, ease of website use, and speed of delivery. Each company could get a maximum of two points for each category, resulting a total score from 1 to 10. Here's how each printing service fared, from worst to best. <h2>5. But there are some strengths to mention: For one, lots of Snapfish cards are available in both horizontal and vertical layouts, so if you happen to like a vertical design but have a horizontal photo, you might still be okay. Plus, my Snapfish order arrived before all the others. The simple site offers lots of custom options: You can choose different color schemes and trims (rounded corners, scalloped, etc.) for each card. Plus, Shutterfly's default paper is sturdy and high-quality, and delivery was timely. But I wasn't thrilled with Shutterfly's designs. There are thousands available but they start to look the same after a while - suffice it to say that there is a lot of swooping gold script font going on. If you're looking for a unique, eye-catching design, I'd look at one of our higher-scoring options (see below). Everyone should be able to find something they like, from traditional to ultra-modern and everything in between. And, like Snapfish, Tiny Prints offers many designs in both horizontal and vertical layouts.Their cards are on the low end of the price range, too, from $1.99/card for the minimum order of 1o cards all the way down to $0.99/card for bigger orders. The default card paper is good quality, but I had to wait a long while to find that out. <a href="https://www.tinyprints.com/product/74448/studio_basics_holiday_photo_cards_modern_impression.html?productPageTest=1">My Tiny Prints cards</a> were the very last to arrive by several days. TOTAL: 7 out of 10<h2>1. The designs are airy and minimalistic with lots of options for color customization and an easy-to-use site. The finished product also felt thicker and higher-quality than any other card I ordered. Plus, they arrived quickly. The one major con is price. Even <a href="https://www.paperculture.com/eco/diagonal-stripes-holiday-cards-p-9446.html">this basic design</a> was priced high at $2.59/card for a minimum order of 10 (though higher-quantity orders can be as cheap as $1.49/card). And Paper Culture suffers from the same setback as Snapfish: You can't preview your photo in the designs as you browse them. TOTAL: 8 out of 10<h2>The bottom line: </h2>Paper Culture's luxurious paper, fresh designs, and quick delivery won me over. <div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div>An ugly "click fraud" lawsuit between the big public ad tech company Criteo and smaller independent US firm SteelHouse has been rumbling on for a few months now - and new court filings from the latter firm reveal&#xa0;the war of words between the two is getting even nastier.Steelhouse now alleges that 3.6% of Criteo's clicks are generated by 25% of its users - a level so disproportionate that it is "indicative of adware, bots, click farms" or some other fraud. Criteo, naturally, denies that claim.&#xa0;Here's a summary of what has happened so far:<ul><li>Lots of retailers measure the performance of their ad tech vendors using a method called "last click attribution," which gives credit to whichever company served the last ad a user clicked on before landing on a website.</li><li><a href="http://uk.businessinsider.com/criteo-vs-steelhouse-click-fraud-lawsuit-2016-6?r=US&amp;IR=T">Criteo filed a lawsuit in a California court in June</a> that alleged SteelHouse ran a "counterfeit click fraud" scheme which led to "substantial injury and damage" to its business and reputation. Criteo claimed it had lost business because SteelHouse used a method to falsely take last click credit for visits to retailer's web pages.</li><li>SteelHouse denied the claims. <a href="http://uk.businessinsider.com/steelhouse-files-counterclaims-against-criteo-2016-7?pundits_only=0&amp;get_all_comments=1&amp;no_reply_filter=1?r=US&amp;IR=T">In July, SteelHouse responded by filing counterclaims</a>, alleging the suit was an attempt to "bully a smaller company." SteelHouse said it has a "unique business model," which doesn't just focus on clicks. The countersuit also alleged Criteo "regularly injects adware" into users' personal computers, serves ad impressions through that adware, and buys inventory from "non-reputable sources" in order to drive up its click numbers.</li><li><a href="http://uk.businessinsider.com/former-steelhouse-clients-sign-declarations-in-criteo-lawsuit-2016-8">Criteo followed up by denying the counterclaims.</a> The French ad tech giant&#xa0;persuaded&#xa0;five former SteelHouse clients to sign declarations supporting its allegations.</li></ul>SteelHouse responded&#xa0;on September 20 with an amended answer and counterclaims (you can read the filing in full below). The filing adds more detail to SteelHouse's defense - including a new claim that "3.6% of Criteo's users generate 25% of its clicks" - and adds a new counterclaim of "trade libel."Criteo sent Business Insider this statement:"On September 20, SteelHouse filed amended counterclaims against Criteo that merely repeat the baseless allegations that it made - and that CRTO filed a successful motion to dismiss against - earlier this summer. Despite being faced with its own clients confirming that its conduct was deceitful, SteelHouse is again trying to divert attention from its misconduct. Criteo will continue to vigorously pursue its claims against SteelHouse and defend against SteelHouse's frivolous claims."<h2>More harsh words from SteelHouse against Criteo</h2>SteelHouse claims in the filing that Criteo's allegations fall apart on a number of legal grounds.One of its 12 defenses is that Criteo's allegations are barred on the grounds of waiver (the voluntary surrender of a legal right), estoppel (withdrawing a promise), and laches (an unreasonable delay in bringing about a claim) doctrines.The filing reads:"Criteo informed SteelHouse that Criteo wanted to resolve this dispute 'amicably' and that if SteelHouse did as Criteo wished, the dispute would go away. SteelHouse was therefore induced to change its code regarding its attribution system at Criteo's request in order to pacify Criteo. Criteo's claims are therefore barred under the doctrines of waiver or estoppel. Criteo also had knowledge of the <keyword id="35666" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="advertising">advertising</keyword> emails containing allegedly false statements upon which Criteo bases its first and seventh causes of action for months, but Criteo failed to take any action or even complain of the allegedly false advertisements. Criteo's causes of action are therefore barred by the doctrines of laches."SteelHouse is also calling an "unclean hands" defense because it believes Criteo is engaged in its own "fraudulent scheme to falsely inflate its performance metrics."SteelHouse has also added an additional counterclaim of "trade libel," accusing Criteo of misrepresenting itself in email&#xa0;ads, at trade shows, on its website, and in meetings as having the highest clickrate in the retargeting industry. The suit also claimed Criteo told clients its services that are "superior" to SteelHouse and its competitors and that it had accused SteelHoue of engaging in a fraudulent click scheme to inflate its numbers.The filing reads:"Criteo's statements were a material and substantial part in inducing 24 actual clients to cease working with SteelHouse or drastically decrease their advertising with SteelHouse. Moreover Criteo's statements were material and played a substantial part in persuading SteelHouse's potential clients to not work with SteelHouse. As a direct result of Criteo's disparaging statements, more than twenty-five clients have stopped working with SteelHouse, including Nike, VistaPrint, Bodybuilding.com, and TOMs."(Incidentally VistaPrint, Bodybuilding.com, and TOMs are among the former SteelHouse clients who signed declarations in favor of Criteo.)In its amended counterclaims, SteelHouse alleges that, through "extensive"&#xa0;analysis of the web logs of the clients that overlap between the pair, it found that "3.6% of Criteo's 'users' generate 25% of its clicks."The filing reads: "Such behavior by real human users is highly unlikely. One particular Endgamer made an innocent, but potentially damaging mistake. He mistyped the domain "www.netflix.com" as "netflix.om" in his browser, accidentally dropping the "c" in ".com". He did not get a DNS resolution error, which would have indicated the domain he typed doesn't exist. Instead, due to the registration of "netflix.om" by a malicious actor, the domain resolved successfully. His browser was immediately redirected several times, and eventually landed on a "Flash Updater" page with all the usual annoying (and to an untrained user, terrifying) scareware pop-ups. Basically, Engame discovered that malicious parties have taken to buying up the web domains of popular typos related to popular websites, with the hopes that unsuspecting people will see the fake "Flash Updater" popup and install the infected software out of fear.Luckily, when you arrive at one of these websites, the malware won't immediately install itself. Instead, it will prompt you to download a file that could look like a Adobe Flash update. It goes without saying, but don't download or install it. It's fake, and will infect your computer with spammy software.According to Kaspersky Lab, that fake "Flash Updater" download usually carries a payload called Genieo, which installs itself as an extension on your browsers and generally serves pop-ups and other annoyances on your computer.When I visited "netflix.om" a few minutes ago, I wasn't prompted to install anything, but I found myself on a site that was decidedly sketchy and may have been phishing for my email password. Google Chrome wouldn't even let me visit "adobe.om.," as our company firewall detected something wasn't right.As Endgame points out, ".om" is the country-specific domain name for Oman, and domains associated "with the vast majority of brands" may currently be unregistered.
