Their three-game winning streak snapped after a loss to Punjab Kings, five-time champions Mumbai Indians will look to address their poor death over bowling when they take on a resurgent Gujarat Titans in their IPL match here on Tuesday. After a familiar poor start, MI enjoyed a hat-trick of wins but their impressive run was cut short by Punjab Kings with a 13-run win on Saturday. Mumbai were let down by their death over bowling as they conceded 96 runs in the final five overs to allow PBKS post 214 for 8, and they will have to sort out their bowling ahead of the GT clash. It was the pace quartet of Arjun Tendulkar, Jason Behrendorff, Cameron Green and Jofra Archer who were put under the pump as all of them conceded more than 40 runs in their quota of overs. The experienced Piyush Chawla and his spin bowling colleague Hrithik Shokeen, however, have been on the money as they restricted the flow of runs, with the former snapping two wickets as well. MI's batting unit has looked formidable with the top and middle order being among runs. While Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan have given a good start to the team on most occasions, Suryakumar Yadav's return to form is a big positive for MI, who have been served well by the overseas duo of Cameron Green and Tim David. In fact, Green and Suryakumar had almost won them the match against Punjab Kings with a 36-ball 75-run stand before being done in by Arshdeep Singh's magical overs at the death. Things are not going to be any easier for the MI batters as the Titans too possess a strong bowling attack. Criticised for not being able to defend totals this season, GT showed how to do it with a master class at the death overs to strangle Lucknow Super Giants' chase in their previous match. The star of GT bowling was comeback man Mohit Sharma, who walked away with the player of the match award after using his variations to telling effect against the Lucknow side. GT were in a dire situation with LSG cruising at 105 for 1 in 14 overs while chasing 136 but the bowlers, led by Mohit, denied them as he defended 12 runs in the final over. While Mohit has been a revelation, veteran Mohammed Shami too has been among the wickets. However, skipper Hardik Pandya hasn't really fired with the ball, having picked up only one wicket so far. Led by Rashid Khan, Gujarat's spin department looks potent with fellow Afghan wrist spinner Noor Ahmad and Jayant Thakur delivering under pressure against LSG. If Jayant conceded just seven in his last two overs, Noor took two wickets for just five runs in his final two overs to set up the win for GT the other day. GT batters have chased down totals but they have been sometimes guilty of not being able to push the score in middle overs. While <keyword id="6355643" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="wriddhiman-saha" source="Orion">Wriddhiman Saha</keyword> and Shubman Gill have scored runs at the top and Hardik top-scored in their last match, GT were about 10-15 runs short against LSG, mainly due to their slow batting in middle overs, something the team will need to address. Mumbai Indians look to sort bowling woes in clash against Gujarat Titans

<keyword id="1492983" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shinjini-Kumar">Shinjini Kumar</keyword>, a former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) executive and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) executive director, is all set to join <keyword id="6357120" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="PayTM">Paytm</keyword>'s payments bank as the CEO, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the matter told TOI. In the past, Kumar has also had a stint at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. 
 
She is expected to join Paytm in March, as the company gets ready to start its payments bank operations after June this year. While they had earlier planned to start operations in the first quarter, there has been some delay in the operation. 
 
The Noida-headquartered company is looking for fresh capital and discussions with investors are said to be at an early stage. 
 
At PwC Mumbai, Kumar led the banking, capital market and financial services regulatory practice for 5 years. It was in 2010 that she had quit Bank of America's investment division, where she was heading the India compliance, managing regulatory and compliance risk across product lines, including corporate and investment banking, global markets, equities and private banking. 
 
Paytm is funded by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, and is one of the 11 entities to have got a license from the RBI to establish a payments bank. The list also includes Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Airtel and Vodafone. 
 
To make the launch a grand and successful affair, Paytm has been making key senior-level appointments from companies like Amazon, Airtel and ITC. Presently, it is in the process of hiring about 3,000 people for handling the operation of its payments bank.

Paytm payments bank to be headed by former RBI and PwC executive Shinjini Kumar

The tech savvy Indians have taken social networking major <keyword id="6354576" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Facebook">Facebook</keyword> user base to 125 million in India, adding a whopping 13 million users in the six months. According to an ET report, India is the second largest market for Facebook globally. 
	 According to the report, Facebook had 112 million users in India till December 2014 but seeing the internet penetration in the country, decided to launch <keyword id="142050" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Facebook-Lite">Facebook Lite</keyword> to cater users with slower internet connection. 
	 “In India, Facebook has 125 million average users (MAU), while the number of mobile MAUs stands at 114 million. On a daily basis, 59 million users in India are accessing Facebook and 53 million are accessing us from their mobile phones," said <keyword id="291070" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vijay-Shankar">Vijay Shankar</keyword>, the head of Products at Facebook (Facebook Lite) in the report. 
	 
	He added that the Facebook Lite app, which was announced earlier this month, has been "built ground up for markets like India" where internet speeds are slow. 
	 
	It should be noted that Facebook Lite will have all the features except video on news feeds, which require a high internet speed to run. It also allows a user to select the quality of images they see on their news feed to optimise data consumption. 
	 
	"In India, over 80% of the users are on 2G network. We have worked on improving the apps performance even on spotty connections and across devices from entry-level devices to high-end ones," Shankar noted.

MS Dhoni set to play 250th IPL match of his career

<ul><li>Senior IAS officer, BM Vijay Shankar, who was accused and arrested for bribery in the ₹4,000 crore I-Monetary Advisory scam, passed away on June 23 evening. </li><li>He reportedly committed suicide and was found dead in his house in Jayanagar. </li><li>While the Tilak Nagar Police has filed a case under the Unnatural Death Registry (UDR), the exact cause of death is yet to be figured. </li><li>Shankar, 58, was posted as Additional Mission Director in Sakala after he was out on bail. </li></ul>Senior IAS officer, BM Vijay Shankar, who was accused and arrested for bribery in the ₹4,000 crore I-Monetary Advisory scam, passed away on June 23 evening. "Vijay Shankar was found hanging in a room on the first floor of his residence at Jayanagar in the city's southern suburb by his wife late evening. The officer was under pressure after he learnt that the state government has permitted the CBI, probing the scam, to interrogate and prosecute him," an official told IANS. Typically, in a <keyword id="6365281" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="ponzi-scheme">ponzi scheme</keyword>, the perpetrator raises money from new investors to pay off the old ones. There is no real wealth created and the chain keeps growing until it goes bust. Shankar was appointed as an IAS officer in 2014 and was posted as the Karnataka cadre officer later. He was suspended as the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru Urban district after he agreed to have taken ₹1.5 crore bribe from Mohammed Mansoor Khan in the IMA scam. He was suspended from his position after he was arrested in July 2019 and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the scam. Shankar, 58, was posted as Additional Mission Director in Sakala after he was out on bail. The government transferred the case from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the state police to CBI in August. Five directors of I-Monetary Advisory (IMA) were arrested and jailed last year. "Though the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) alerted the state government and the city police about the illegal activities of the IMA group, including raising illegal deposits from investors through cash or gold jewellery, assuring them hefty interest and returns on maturity, no action was taken against the company for allegedly indulging in the criminal act," a CBI official told IANS earlier. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the main cricket governing body in India has announced the squad for the upcoming World Cup 2019. Rishabh Pant and Ambati rayudu have not managed to make it to the 15-member squad. Vijay Shankar has been named as the second all-rounder in the squad along with Hardik Pandeya. Seven players who were there in the 2015 world cup squad have managed to make it to the 2019 team.
