You also get the ViewSonic branding at the back, which is larger than the front. The monitor’s stand is not height adjustable, meaning you cannot adjust the height according to your needs. It does come with tilt support, which allows you to make slight changes. While it would have been good to get a height adjustable stand, the large display meant that I did not need to change the height. Verdict If you are a gamer in the market for a monitor with a large display and a high refresh rate around ₹25,000, the ViewSonic VX319 2K PRO is a good option. During my usage, I found the keyboard to be slightly cluttered and it will take some time to get used to the layout. The colours look great as it comes with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The Mini LED panel ensures excellent visuals with amazing contrast with 2,304 dimming zones. The 1,100 nits brightness delivers good visibility, even under direct sunlight. I played games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 on the laptop, with the device offering amazing visuals in each game. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> If you are looking for a powerful gaming laptop, the ROG Strix Scar 16 will not disappoint. It is equipped with the Intel Core i9 14900HX high-performance processor with 24 cores and 32 threads. This is coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 16GB GDDR6 graphics. The laptop comes with 32GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM, which can be extended up to 64GB. For storage, it offers a 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD, which can be upgraded to 4TB. I tested the laptop with several games, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 5. Both the games performed well and the laptops were able to handle them without any issues. The powerful hardware means that you will be able to run any game at the best graphics without even having to look at the system requirements. I played Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 at maximum graphics and the laptop was able to handle them with ease. Even during extended gaming sessions, the laptop’s cooling apparatus kicked in, keeping the temperatures down. The laptop is equipped with a 90Whr battery, the battery life is not one of the strongest points of the ROG Strix Scar 16. While gaming, I was able to get around 2 and a half hours of battery life out of the device. The laptop continues to offer an aluminium and carbon fibre combination. The laptop features a minimalistic silver aluminium lid with a matte finish that prevents fingerprint smudges. It comes with the Dell logo at the back, with the rest of the back being empty. <div type="image" title="Back" msid="107330438" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The Dell XPS 17 9730 comes with a matte finish aluminium lid&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Due to the touch screen and the large battery, the laptop is on the bulkier side at 2.44 kg. So, if you are someone who often needs to use their laptop on the go, you need to consider the weight. As someone who already uses a heavy laptop, I did not find any issues with the weight. Opening the Dell XPS 17 9730 may be an issue sometimes as you may not find anything on the lid to hold on to. Unlike Apple’s MacBook which can be opened easily with a single hand, I often had to use both hands to open the laptop. On the other hand, the keyboard area is black and comes with a carbon fibre texture. It comes with a large trackpad and is equipped with two speakers on either side of the keyboard. <div type="image" title="Key" msid="107330505" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The Dell XPS 17 9730 keyboard and touchpad&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The keyboard is backlit and feels good to type on. As someone who has to type a lot, I had no issues while typing on the XPS 17 9730. The keys offer a 1.3mm travel and do not make a lot of noise. The touchpad is large, which makes it easier to use and is very responsive. The keyboard comes with a 60% layout and does not feature number buttons on the right. If you are someone who uses numbers a lot, this may not be the ideal option for you. Then again, this is aimed at creators, who don’t use numbers very often. In terms of ports, the Dell XPS 17 9730 is equipped with ample ports. It offers four Thunderbolt 4 USB Type C Ports, a full-size SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack As it is equipped with a powerful processor and graphics card, Dell has offered a large vent at the bottom to manage the heat. It also comes with XPS branding at the bottom. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Display" comment="subhead" text="Display">Display</cmsannotation> Coming to the display, the Dell XPS 17 9730 is equipped with a 17-inch 4K UHD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. <div type="image" title="Display" msid="107330520" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The Dell XPS 17 9730 comes with a 17-inch display&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The display offers a 500 nits brightness, which is quite good for a laptop and allows you to use it even when under the sun. It offers 100% Adobe RGB minimum and 94% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. While an OLED panel would have offered higher brightness and superior colours, the IPS panel on the XPS 17 9730 performs well. The high resolution and colour accuracy make it a great option for content creators who need to be very careful with colours. The low refresh rate may disappoint users who may have wanted to play fast-paced action games as you will be limited to 60Hz. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Performance" comment="subhead" text="Performance">Performance</cmsannotation> In addition to a large display, the Dell XPS 17 9730 is also packed with the 13th gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor coupled with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. The laptop is available in two variants, offering up to 32GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. You can further upgrade the storage to up to 8TB. The powerful combination means the laptop is able to carry everything that you throw at it with ease. You can easily multitask on the device with several applications running. Considering the processor and graphics card combination, I also tried a few games on the laptop, including Red Dead Redemption 2. The laptop was able to handle these heavy games without any issues at the highest graphics. <div type="image" title="Bottom" msid="107330533" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The vent at the bottom&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> To keep the laptop cool, it comes with dual fans and a large vapour chamber at the bottom. While the vapour chamber and the fans work well, it is only a laptop at the end of the day and it starts heating up during extended gaming sessions. The Dell XPS 17 9730 is equipped with a large 97Whr battery that easily lasts for a day with normal usage. If we add in some light gaming and video streaming, the laptop still offers over 8 hours of usage, which is great. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Dell XPS 17 9730 is a good laptop that ticks a lot of boxes, including powerful hardware, large display and an excellent battery. At the same time, it is on the heavier side and the price is on the higher side. If you are looking for a powerful laptop and do not mind the price tag, the Dell XPS 17 9730 is an excellent option. The company recently launched the INZONE Buds, the company’s gaming-focused wireless earbuds in India. Sony’s gaming accessories have mostly been focused on its PlayStation but that has been changing with the company’s INZONE lineup, which is compatible with other devices as well. As such, the INZONE Buds are compatible with the PS5, Mobile and PC. The charging case is bigger than what most truly wireless earbuds offer but then again this isn’t something that you will carry in your pocket. <div type="image" title="Earbuds" msid="107492527" hostid="261" sizebytes="23998" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The earbuds&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Coming to the earbuds, the earbuds I tested feature a dual-tone white and black colour combination. The earbuds come with a short stem and look good. The earbuds come with a touch-sensitive surface that allow you to control them. One of the things that you need to think about before buying a TWS is the comfort that they offer. The INZONE Buds are comfortable to use, even for extended durations. I used the device for hours on the go, without any issues, be it sweat or pain in the ear. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Features and performance" comment="subhead" text="Features and performance">Features and performance</cmsannotation> The Sony INZONE Buds come with a USB Type-C dongle to connect with your device. If you are using the INZONE Buds on your computer, you can download the <keyword id="20492931" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="inzone-hub" source="keywords">INZONE Hub</keyword> application to manage spatial audio, presets, EQ settings, make dynamic range adjustments and more. One of the biggest issues with TWS is latency, as delayed audio could be the difference between a win and a loss. The INZONE Buds offer low-latency, making them an excellent option for gaming. The INZONE Buds offer excellent sound quality, be it for gaming or watching movies and shows. The earbuds offer loud and crisp sounds, while not interfering too much with the original sound quality. The INZONE Buds offer spatial audio and also allow you to download an app to scan your ear and personalise the spatial audio to your ear. While I found the spatial audio to be good, the personalisation did not have any significant impact. If you are someone who plays multiplayer games a lot and likes staying connected with friends while gaming, the earbuds offer good noise cancellation. The microphone is decent but nothing too spectacular. As per friends I spoke with while using the earbuds, my sound was slightly different. The Sony INZONE Buds are claimed to offer a 12 hours of battery life with a single charge and 24 hours with the case. I found the battery life to be excellent, going over 10 hours. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Sony INZONE Buds is a good option if you are looking for a pair of good gaming earbuds. If you are someone who does not want a large headphone and would prefer a TWS for gaming, the INZONE Buds are worth considering, thanks to its excellent audio quality, long battery life and Sony’s reliability. Sony INZONE Buds review – Premium wireless gaming headphones with good battery life

Mumbai, <keyword id="19909974" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="maruti-suzuki" source="keywords">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> India's total vehicle sales, including exports, increased 5 per cent at 1,99,364 units in January from 1,72,535 units in the same month last year, the company said in a statement on Thursday. This was the highest-ever monthly sales volume for the Gurugram-based car maker, as per the statement. The total domestic sales grew 13 per cent at 1,70,214 vehicles as against 1,51,367 units in the month a year ago, it said. <keyword id="19901091" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="msi" source="keywords">MSI</keyword> also sold 23,921 vehicles in the overseas markets in the previous month, as per the statement. Maruti Suzuki's total vehicle sales rise 5 pc at 1,99,364 units in January

EV startup Vidyut on Tuesday said it has raised $10 million in its Series A fundraise (a mix of equity and debt funding) led by 3one4 Capital, and will deploy new funds to scale its new offerings that include EV insurance, lifecycle management and EV resale. EV startup Vidyut raises $10 mn to build full-stack ecosystem

Retirement fund body <keyword id="19966712" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="epfo" source="keywords">EPFO</keyword> recorded a net addition of 15.62 lakh members in December 2023, according to payroll data released on Tuesday. An increase of 11.97 per cent has been registered in net member addition during December 2023 compared to the previous month, a labour ministry statement said. Employees' <keyword id="20660929" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="provident-fund-organisation" source="keywords">Provident Fund Organisation</keyword>'s provisional payroll data highlighted that the net addition of 15.62 lakh members was up by 4.62 per cent compared to December 2022, it stated. This surge in membership can be attributed to various factors, including increased employment opportunities, a growing awareness of employee benefits, and the effectiveness of EPFO's outreach programmes, it explained. The data showed that around 8.41 lakh new members were enrolled in December 2023, up by 14.21 per cent compared with the previous month of November 2023. A noticeable aspect of the data is the dominance of the 18-25 age group, constituting a significant 57.18 per cent of the total new members added in December, it stated. These statistics underscore a notable trend - the majority of individuals joining the organized workforce are youth, primarily first-time job seekers. The payroll data highlighted that approximately 12.02 lakh members exited and subsequently rejoined EPFO. These members switched their jobs and re-joined the establishments covered under the ambit of EPFO and opted to transfer their accumulations instead of applying for final settlement thus, safeguarding long-term financial well-being and extending their social security protection. Gender-wise analysis of payroll data showed that out of 8.41 lakh new members, around 2.09 lakh are female members, up by 7.57 per cent compared with the previous month of November 2023. Also, the net female member addition during the month stood at around 2.90 lakh reflecting an increase of approximately 3.54 per cent compared to the previous month. The surge in female member additions is indicative of a broader shift towards a more inclusive and diverse workforce. State-wise analysis of payroll data denotes that net member addition is the highest in the five states of <keyword id="19897316" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="maharashtra" source="keywords">Maharashtra</keyword>, Gujarat, <keyword id="19896558" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tamil-nadu" source="keywords">Tamil Nadu</keyword>, Karnataka and Haryana. These states constitute around 58.33 per cent of net member addition, adding a total of 9.11 lakh net members during the month. Of the states, Maharashtra is leading by adding 21.63 per cent of net members during the month. Month-on-month comparison of industry-wise data displays significant growth in the members working in establishments engaged in the industries viz. <keyword id="20286759" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="iron-and-steel" source="keywords">Iron and Steel</keyword>, Building &amp; construction, General Insurance etc. Of the total net membership, around 40.66 per cent addition is from expert services (consisting of manpower suppliers, normal contractors, security services, miscellaneous activities etc.). EPFO adds a net 15.62 lakh members in Dec; 8.41 lakh new subscribers join workforce

The government's gross direct tax collections have risen by 16.77 per cent to touch Rs 17.18 lakh crore, as of January 10, in the current financial year, the Central Board for Direct Taxes (<keyword id="19980145" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbdt" source="keywords">CBDT</keyword>) said on Thursday. Direct Tax collection, net of refunds, stands at Rs. 14.70 lakh crore which is 19.41 per cent higher than the net collections for the corresponding period of last year. This collection is 80.61 per cent of the total Budget Estimates of Direct Taxes for F.Y. 2023-24, the statement said. The growth rate for <keyword id="20155152" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="corporate-income-tax" source="keywords">Corporate Income Tax</keyword> (<keyword id="20155153" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cit" source="keywords">CIT</keyword>) is 8.32 per cent while that for <keyword id="20155151" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="personal-income-tax" source="keywords">Personal Income Tax</keyword> (<keyword id="20155150" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pit" source="keywords">PIT</keyword>) is 26.11 per cent in terms of gross revenue collections. After adjustment of refunds, the net growth in CIT collections is 12.37 per cent and that in PIT collections is 27.26 per cent (PIT only)/ 27.22 per cent (PIT including STT). Refunds amounting to Rs 2.48 lakh crore have been issued from April 1, 2023 to January 10, 2024, the statement added.
