The series C funding comprises USD 15-million in <keyword id="21822065" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-closure" source="keywords">equity closure</keyword>, as part of its ongoing USD 50-million round, which comprises USD 40-million in equity and USD 10-million in debt, the company said in a statement. The fresh capital raised under Series C, in which other investors existing investors 9unicorns, IAN fund, venture catalysts, WFC and others also participated, will be utilised to expand Zypp's fleet from 21,000 to 2-lakh electric scooters and extend its services to 15 cities across India by 2026, it added. The fresh investment will help Zypp in the last-mile delivery space with sustainable EV solutions, said Akash Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Zypp Electric. "We are eager to expand our fleet and enhance our tech platform, driving significant growth across India. These funds will be utilised to drive the company towards the full path of growth along with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) profitability," he added. Zypp Electric raises $15 million funding in Series C Round

However, how much money is available for Test cricket from the ICC is also likely to depend on a dispute with broadcaster Star, the report added. The Star network wants to renegotiate a 2022 broadcast deal with the ICC and reduce its value to half of the original cost of over USD three billion. The BCCI had introduced an incentive scheme for India's men's Test cricketers earlier this year to encourage players to prioritise Test cricket and reward consistent performances in the longest format of the game. Under the new scheme, a player who plays at least 75 per cent of India's Test matches in its annual cycle, from October to September, will earn a whopping Rs 45 lakh per match in addition to the Test match fees of Rs 15 lakh. The players who feature in the 50-75 per cent games bracket will earn a bonus of Rs 30 lakh per match. The non-playing members — if selected in the squad — will be paid half the amount.

Forex traders said the rupee is likely to trade with a negative bias on risk aversion in global markets and a rising US dollar. At the interbank foreign exchange, the domestic unit opened at 83.10, then touched a high of 83.05 against the American currency, registering a rise of 5 paise over its last close. On Friday, the rupee edged lower by 1 paisa to settle at an all-time low of 83.10 against the US dollar, weighed down by a negative trend in domestic equities, and foreign fund outflows. The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.02 per cent to 103.39. Dollar witnessed its longest winning streak in the last 15 months following safe haven buying on the back of uncertainty in China and better-than-expected economic numbers from the US, said Gaurang Somaiya, forex and bullion analyst, <keyword id="248720" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="motilal-oswal-financial" source="Orion">Motilal Oswal Financial</keyword> services. Rising uncertainty over economic recovery in China is leading to weakness in the Chinese Yuan and thereby weighing on the rupee, Somaiya added. Pure EV raises $8 million in latest funding round

Budget carrier SpiceJet on Monday said its subsidiary <keyword id="6866514" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="SpiceXpress" source="Orion">SpiceXpress</keyword> and Logistics will receive USD 100 million investment from a UK-based group. SpiceJet, which is facing financial headwinds and an insolvency plea by an aircraft lessor, had recently hived off SpiceXpress. Also, last week, the airline said it has no plans to file for insolvency and would invest USD 50 million to revive 25 grounded planes. The United Kingdom-based SRAM &amp; MRAM Group will invest USD 100 million in SpiceXpress. Both sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of the investment deal, the airline said in a release on Monday. The MoU also comes after a debt restructuring agreement between the carrier and aircraft lessor Carlyle Aviation Partner wherein the latter bought a stake in SpiceXpress at an anticipated future valuation of USD 1.5 billion (Rs 12,422 crore). SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh said the USD 100 million investment should help SpiceXpress to grow further and expand and provide a more streamlined and efficient service to its customers.
