Earlier the maximum punishment provided for those found guilty of marrying a woman by deceiving her and converting her religion was 10 years with a fine of Rs 50,000. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna introduced the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in the House on Monday. It has been proposed that if a person threatens, attacks, marries or promises to marry or conspires for it, or trafficks a woman, minor or anyone with the intention of conversion, then his crime will be placed in the most serious category. In such cases, there is a provision of 20 years imprisonment or life imprisonment. Under the amended provisions, now any person can register an FIR in conversion cases. Earlier, to give information or complaint about the case, the presence of the victim, her parents, or siblings was necessary. It has been proposed that such cases will not be heard by any court below the Sessions Court and along with this, the bail plea will not be considered without giving an opportunity to the public prosecutor. Also, all the crimes under the amended Act have been made non-bailable. Whisper’s main selling point is that it supposedly delivers near “human-level robustness and accuracy,” as the company claims. But there’s a major catch — Whisper has a habit of “hallucinating.” If you’re picturing an AI tool hallucinating psychedelic visuals, it’s not quite like that. Hallucinations in AI transcriptions mean the tool has a tendency to make up words, phrases, and even entire sentences. Whisper has been known to slip in racial commentary, violent ideas, or medical jargon that no one actually said. And when used in sensitive settings like hospitals, these “creative” additions can be more than an oddity — they could be downright dangerous. <h2>The hospital risk factor</h2>Several developers and researchers have found these hallucinations are worryingly frequent. In hospitals, transcription software like Whisper is being trialed to record patient-doctor conversations. It seems like a great idea — automated transcriptions could give healthcare professionals more time to focus on patients instead of endless paperwork. But as Allison Koenecke, a professor at Cornell, points out, nearly 40% of these hallucinations could lead to misinterpretations. And, as Alondra Nelson, former director at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, said, “Nobody wants a misdiagnosis. Adequate contingents of Central Armed Police Forces and Mizoram Armed Police have been deployed across the state to maintain law and order. More than 80% of the 8.57 lakh voters exercised their franchise to decide the electoral fate of 174 candidates, including 16 women. The BJP crossed the halfway mark in Rajasthan with its candidates leading in over 100 seats while the Congress was ahead in 77, according to Election Commission trends available on Sunday for the assembly polls in Rajasthan. The Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) is leading on five seats while the CPI (M) and BSP on two each. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) were leading on one seat each. Independent candidates are leading in nine constituencies. Chief Minister <keyword id="49103" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ashok-gehlot" source="Orion">Ashok Gehlot</keyword>, ministers Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Tikaram Jully, Shakuntala Rawat, Brijendra Ola, Vishvendra Singh, Mahendra Jeet Singh Malvia are among the Congress candidates who are leading whereas parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Dhariwal and assembly speaker CP Joshi are trailing. Counting of votes polled in the November 25 assembly elections in Rajasthan got underway at 8 am amid tight security arrangements. A total of 36 counting centres have been set up 199 of the state's 200 assembly constituencies which went to poll. He said that three-tier security arrangements have been ensured at the counting venue and only those with authorised passes would be able to enter. "Separate counting halls have been made for each assembly seat at the counting centre, where as per the instructions of the Commission, tables have been arranged for counting of postal ballots and EVMs," he said. Incumbent Congress and its rival Congress conducted intense poll campaign and are both hopeful of forming a government. In addition to collecting data, workers are also expected to analyze the information they've gathered, write daily reports on it, as well as work on some minor tasks related to their equipment and its software.It also has very specific height requirements and calls for people between five foot, seven inches and five foot, eleven inches. "But rather than collecting data from their fleet of cars, they're paying people to come into the factory or come into a workplace and undertake these tasks."Garg, the Nvidia researcher and robotics professor, estimates that Tesla should be aiming to log anywhere from hundreds of thousands of hours to millions of hours of data in order to train Optimus how to work in Tesla's factories — a feat that could take a lot of time and money."It extremely difficult to produce robots at scale," Garg said, adding that Tesla's Optimus robots are likely custom built and assembled, as well as constantly undergoing new iterations."The amount of data collection you'd need would easily be half a billion dollars and the real question is 'Even if you do that, do you succeed?'
