	Nevertheless, the tweets will continue to be have the 140-character limit. on tweets will remain in place. 
	 
	"We've done a lot to improve Direct Messages over the past year and have much more exciting work on the horizon. One change coming in July that we want to make you aware of now (and first!) is the removal of the 140 character limit in Direct Messages," Twitter Product Manager (Direct Messages) Sachin Agarwal said in a blogpost for developers in the ET report. 
	 
	He added, “You may be wondering what this means for the public side of Twitter. Nothing! Tweets will continue to be the 140 characters they are today.”

 The Mastermind The firebrand activist and Arya Samaji Bismil was the mastermind behind the famous Kakori Conspiracy. He and his band looted the British government treasury from the Saharanpur-Lucknow Passenger Train on August 9, 1925. A detailed account of this event was published in Bismil’s autobiography, ‘Kakori ke Saheed’ (The Martyrs of Kakori), which was published by Ganesh Shanker Vidyarth in 1928. Eventually, Bismil was convicted for involvement in the robbery, and hanged along with others on December 19, 1927 in Gorakhpur in UP. This hero who attained a cult status, had planned many such Robin Hood-like expeditions. One such is the Mainpuri Conspiracy where he planned to raise funds for his revolutionary organisation Matrivedi, by robbing from various locations. Bismil also had an artistic side as published a collection of his poems ‘Man ki Lehar’ (A Sally of mInd) and ‘Swadeshi Rang’ (Colours of Freedom).

Tech giant <keyword id="10387" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="microsoft" source="Orion">Microsoft</keyword> on Thursday confirmed that its Teams app was facing a major outage that affected thousands of users as they were unable to access the app, and several users took to the microblogging site to react to the outage. Microsoft said it received reports of users being unable to access <keyword id="3781913" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="microsoft-teams" source="Orion">Microsoft Teams</keyword> or leverage any features and said the company is investigating the issue. "We have determined that a recent deployment contained a broken connection to an internal storage service, which has resulted in impact. We are working to direct traffic to a healthy service to mitigate impact," the company wrote on Twitter. The company also said that it has identified downstream impact to multiple Microsoft 365 services with Teams integration, such as <keyword id="174648" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="microsoft-word" source="Orion">Microsoft Word</keyword>, <keyword id="2068458" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="office-online" source="Orion">Office Online</keyword> and SharePoint Online. "We are providing updates for those services via MO402741 in the admin centre or through http://status.office.com," the company said. A few users also published memes on social media platforms to respond to the outage. "An urgent meeting in which I was supposed to be thrashed is now cancelled. Thank you so much, Microsoft Teams," a user wrote on Twitter. "Microsoft Teams is down and now I have to walk to the desk next to me to ask a question," another user said. Meanwhile, Microsoft tweeted: "Our telemetry indicates that Microsoft Teams functionality is beginning to recover. We are continuing our efforts to implement relief within the environment". Microsoft Teams faces major outage, Twitterati react

Now that it’s all over, Rio Games has given Indians golden memories to cherish for a lifetime. From Sania-Bopanna’s team spirit to Sakshi throwing weight in the Rio ground, each of them had us bursting with joy at some point or the other with their stellar performances. 
 
Every time Dipa rolled in the air like a ball of fire and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/PV-Sindhu-gets-India-Silver-medal-in-Badminton-at-Rio-Olympics-2016/articleshow/53774591.cms">Sindhu battled it hard</a> in the Rio war-ground, Twitter users back home exploded with joy. They danced, joked and cheered for the Indian stars in pride. They literally lost it each and every time any Indian stormed into finals or semi-finals.

It’s not until I came across the entire hoopla on Twitter around some heart icon that I realized why Twitteratis were feeling heartbroken early Wednesday morning. Oh My God.. They woke up to see <keyword id="3126046" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="twitter-hearts-instead-of-stars">Twitter hearts instead of stars</keyword>! 
 
The outburst to me seemed like they got of their beds to see lions waiting to pounce on them, but anyway. This is serious! 
 
Clearly, the star-shaped "favourite" icon replaced with a heart-shaped "like" alternative, a decision Twitter took a day before, doesn’t seem to be going down very well with users even as the company calls it an effort to make its website more engaging. Did I hear that correctly? To make it engaging or to make it more Facebook-like and Instagram-ish? 
 
Twitter’s Nov 3 post on its blog titled ‘Hearts on Twitter’ explaining the new move seemed quite convincing to me for once: “We know that at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers. You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favorite.” 
 
It further went on to explain how heart is a more universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones. “The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people.” This kind of made sense too until I read the next line: “And in our tests, we found that people loved it.” 
 People loved it? Really? Going by the reactions, your users never needed <keyword id="3126047" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="twitter-hearts">Twitter hearts</keyword> for Twitter stars, they were and are dying for a Twitter edit button.. Check.. Check.. reality check! Who are these people you surveyed, may I ask you dear Twitter? If you might want to open your eyes, Twitteratis are raving on getting Twitter hearts instead of stars and a few of their reactions are simply priceless!
