The Indian tractor industry sold 59,586 units last month down from 80,980 units sold during July 2021, said <keyword id="14677165" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tractor-junction" source="Orion">Tractor Junction</keyword>, a digital marketplace for tractors and farm equipment. According to Tractor Junction, five states - Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat- accounted for the majority of tractor sales last month. The startup has raised the funding for the first time from Meka Sudhakar Reddy, a Singapore based NRI with over 18 years of expertise in logistics spacing. “We are getting ready to roll out the first prototype in the next one month,” Siddhartha Durairajan, Founder Promoter of Cellestial E-Mobility said. The company promises that its tractors will have the longest battery life in the market. The zero-emission ecological tractor can be used for horticultural or greenhouse work or even in logistical operations to move goods in factories. Cellestial also claims that it has the capacity to build 100 e-mobility heavy vehicles. The leader of the tractor manufacturing segment Escorts had already announced its foray into the EV market with electric tractors. Escorts had also launched tractors with self-driving technology. The Electric Vehicles market in India has been heating up with large auto manufacturers announcing their decisions to introduce their EVs in India. Startups in the EV segment too have been raising funds, with the likes of SmartE raising investment from Japan-based Mitsui and Bengaluru-based startup Ather Energy raised funds from Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal. The Indian government has been pushing forward the growth of EVs in India. In the Union Budget 2019, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced tax subsidy for people who buy EVs. The government had also reduced the goods and services tax (GST) on EVs to 5% from the previous 12%.

Oleksandr Kryvtsov <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukrainian-farmer-comes-up-with-novel-way-demine-his-fields-2023-05-02/">told Reuters</a> the fields around his village of Hrakove, located just south of Kharkiv, are covered in land mines. He said rescue workers and official deminers in the areas are overworked, so it's dangerous for farmers to sow their fields. Rather than wait or abandon his field, Kryvtsov has taken a different approach. By scavenging armor from wrecked Russian tanks and military vehicles, he's reconfigured a tractor into a machine able to detect and remove mines. The armor helps the tractor withstand explosions from the mines. "We ran over an anti-tank mine. The protection got blown out (but) the tractor is safe," he told Reuters. "Everyone's alive and safe. New Delhi, Apr 2 () Farm equipment major TAFE on Thursday said it has launched a free tractor rental scheme to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on small and marginal farmers of Tamil Nadu and to support the farming community. The scheme will be available through its JFarm Services platform on the Uzhavan App, for a duration of 90 days starting April 1, 2020. This scheme will be available across 30 districts of Tamil Nadu, TAFE said in a statement. Under the initiative, the company said it has brought together a large group of its Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and will offer over 4,400 tractors and 10,500 implements on a free of cost rental basis. "The renters hiring out Massey Ferguson, Eicher Tractors and implements will be paid directly by the company," it said. Commenting on the initiative, TAFE Chairman and Managing Director Mallika Srinivasan said, "The rabi season is crucial to sustain the livelihoods of the farmers of Tamil Nadu. At this crucial juncture, TAFE seeks to do its best to support the small and marginal farmers of the state to tide over the crisis caused by COVID-19 by offering free rental services of Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors." This has been necessitated due to the increase in commodity prices," it said. Lots of staff</h2>A second and closely related factor is having enough people."We typically have a good bit of staffing in our stores. At any one time there's up to eight team members in the store and only 20,000 square feet," Lawton said. "Even if you do, you're stealing only $80 or $100."Aside from being harder to steal, this merchandise tends to be exceptionally durable and not likely to be damaged beyond salability — another element of shrink. <h2>4. Location, location, location</h2>Lastly, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/tractor-supply-co-why-wall-street-loves-the-rural-brand-2023-5">Tractor Supply's typical store</a> is located in more rural markets, rather than urban or suburban areas where lots of people live.In a way, the company's "Life Out Here" slogan reflects the real-world benefit of being too far away from most folks to be a convenient target for criminals.And Lawton said those who do live in the communities near his stores are a bit more ready to step in if they see something suspicious."Not to get into politics or bring out the Jason Aldean song, but if you think about "<a target="_blank" href="https://www.insider.com/jason-aldean-slams-pro-lynching-claims-new-song-2023-7">Try That In A Small Town</a>" — there is some degree of that," Lawton said.
