<keyword id="100743" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Suzuki-Motor-Corporation">Suzuki Motor Corporation</keyword> (SMC) expects India to grow into the third-biggest car market in the world by 2020 and is "determined" to play a big part in that growth, as per a <keyword id="6367495" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="PTI">PTI</keyword> news report. 
 The company, whose arm <keyword id="6365618" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki-India">Maruti Suzuki India</keyword> commands nearly 50 per cent of the passenger vehicle market in the country, has already started operations at its new plant in <keyword id="6354766" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gujarat">Gujarat</keyword> as part of the plan to raise its total production to 2 million units by 2020. 
 "India is expected to grow into the third-biggest car market in the world by 2020 and we are determined to play a big part in that growth," said <keyword id="3506215" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kinji-Saito">Kinji Saito</keyword>, Executive General Manager and Managing Officer (Global Automotive Operations), <keyword id="111052" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Suzuki-Motor">Suzuki Motor</keyword> Corporation, at the <keyword id="239437" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Geneva-Motor-Show">Geneva Motor Show</keyword> here. 
 He said that in India, <keyword id="6911" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="suzuki">Suzuki</keyword> has been the market leader for decades, with nearly 50 per cent share. 
 
The company plans to introduce more new products in India even as it gears up to meet additional demand by increasing its production capacity. 
 "In fact, we started operations at a new plant last month on the way to increasing our total capacity in India to two million units," <keyword id="3463140" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="saito">Saito</keyword> added. 
 The Gujarat plant is envisaged to have an installed capacity of 7.5 lakh units annually. <keyword id="6392170" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="MSI">MSI</keyword>'s two units at <keyword id="6356789" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gurugram">Gurugram</keyword>, earlier known as Gurgaon, and Manesar have a total production capacity of 1.5 million units annually. 
 <keyword id="44883" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> India (MSI) is accelerating product introductions with an eye to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. As part of its 2020 target, the company had earlier said it would bring in 15 models by then. 
 
In the next fiscal, MSI plans to introduce four new products. It has has been bringing about two new products each year in the past couple of years. 
 
The company will launch the all-new third generation Swift, which was unveiled here, in India in the spring of 2018. It is also gearing up for the upgraded version of its premium crossover S-Cross later this year. 
 
In April to February this fiscal, MSI has sold around 13 lakh units. 
 
Globally, SMC sold 2.9 million units 2016, Saito said.

New Delhi, "<keyword id="486655" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gangs-of-wasseypur" source="Orion">Gangs of Wasseypur</keyword>" may be credited for making the catchphrase "Tum Se Na Ho Payega" popular, but writer-director <keyword id="368516" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="nitesh-tiwari" source="Orion">Nitesh Tiwari</keyword>, whose new film draws its title from the line, believes it was already a part of the audience's conscience. Spoken by Tigmanshu Dhulia's character <keyword id="2183828" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ramadhir-singh" source="Orion">Ramadhir Singh</keyword> in Anurag Kashyap's 2012 cult classic, the phrase has come to reflect loss of faith in someone's ability and competence. Written by Tiwari and directed by Abhishek Sinha, "Tum Se Na Ho Payega" is a "light-hearted take on the modern-day challenges faced by today's youth, and their dilemma in standing up to these rules laid by the society". Asked if the title of his film is a hat-tip to "Gangs of Wasseypur", Tiwari said that wasn't the case. "'Tum Se Na Ho Payega' has become a popular phrase because of 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. But I like to believe that 'Tum Se Na Ho Payega' existed in our conscience before 'Wasseypur'. 'Wasseypur' also used something that already existed. This (the title of our film) probably exists in the lingo of the youth and what better than something that, (which) not only encapsulates the flavour of the film and feel of the youth," the writer-director told PTI in a virtual interview. "Tum Se Na Ho Payega" was previously named on its source material: <keyword id="183303" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="varun-agarwal" source="Orion">Varun Agarwal</keyword>'s novel "How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company", he added. Tiwari, best known for directing "Chillar Party", "Dangal" and "Chhichhore", said they decided to change the title as they had "fundamentally deviated" from certain aspects of the 2012 book. "There were many more elements in the film than just 'the aunty bit'. We went back to this and asked if this was the best way to summarise the film as 'Bas Karo Aunty'. The answer came back 'no'. "The best way to explain the film was through the philosophy of the film -- the voices of the film which constantly keep telling us that the moment you try to do something different. At the same time, the flavour of the film is fun and about banter between friends. It has a lot to do with the life of youngsters," he added. The director, an engineering graduate from IIT-B by educational qualification, describes himself as someone who doesn't have many dreams and takes life as it comes. Before foraying in films, Tiwari was in the field of advertising, where he also crossed paths with his wife and filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. "I take life as it comes. I don't plan too much. That's why you see my movies come once every three years. Never following a set pattern but everybody says I should," said Tiwari, whose latest film as a director was 2023's "Bawaal". He, however, has a dream for EarthSky Pictures, a production house he co-founded with his wife. Tiwari said they aim to tell diverse stories and nurture younger talent through their banner. "We were fortunate that somebody believed in us and gave us a break. This is our way of paying back. If at all, you can call it a dream, which is not so much at a personal level, but what kind of stuff I'll be doing going forward. That will happen as it has to happen. The dream as of now is to be able to tell many more stories with the help of a lot of fantastic young talent, whether it's technicians, writers or directors," he added. "Tum Se Na Ho Payega" stars an ensemble cast of Ishwak Singh, Mahima Makwana, Gaurav Pandey, <keyword id="124291" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="amala-akkineni" source="Orion">Amala Akkineni</keyword>, Gurpreet Saini, Parmeet Sethi and Meghna Malik. The Indian Broadcasting Foundation appoints Former Justice Vikramjit Sen as the Chairman

Lucknow, An FIR has been lodged here against the makers of web series 'Tandav' and <keyword id="18635" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amazon">Amazon</keyword>'s India head of original content for allegedly depicting Hindu gods in a manner hurtful to <keyword id="522164" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="religious-sentiments">religious sentiments</keyword> of the people. The FIR against Aparna Purohit, the head of Amazon's India head of original content, director of the series Ali Abbas, producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki, and an unknown person was lodged late on Sunday night by senior Sub Inspector Amar Nath Yadav at the Hazratganj Kotwali police station here. Protests are being registered against some scenes hurting the religious and ethnic sentiments in the Tandav web series, in respect of which it would be appropriate to remove whatever is objectionable so that the atmosphere of peace, harmony and mutual brotherhood in the country is not spoiled anywhere, she said. According to the FIR, following public outrage expressed on social media platforms, the web series was viewed and it was found in the 17th minute of the first episode of the series that Hindu gods and goddesses have been allegedly presented in an "undignified manner' and shown using language which is hurtful to religious sentiments. Dialogues in the web series can incite caste anger, the FIR stated. It also alleged that the person occupying the high post of Prime Minister of India has been portrayed in a very belittling manner besides there are scenes in which castes have been presented as low and high and women in an insulting manner. The FIR further alleged that intent of the web series is to incite religious sentiments of a particular community and create enmity among classes.This act of the producer-director has hurt and incited religious and caste sentiments of the people, the FIR added. The FIR has been lodged under sections 153 A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language), 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class), 505 (1) (B) (statements conducing to public mischief with intent to cause, or which is likely to cause, fear or alarm to the public, or to any section of the public whereby any person may be induced to commit an offence against the State or against the public tranquility) and 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation) along with sections of the IT Act. Taking cognizance of complaints that Hindu gods and goddesses have been ridiculed in the web series, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had on Sunday sought an explanation from <keyword id="10265015" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="streaming-platform-amazon-prime-video">streaming platform Amazon Prime Video</keyword> on the issue, sources had said. The development came after BJP MP Manoj Kotak on Sunday said he has written to Information and Broadcasting Minister <keyword id="119642" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Prakash-Javadekar">Prakash Javadekar</keyword> seeking a ban on Amazon Prime Video's series 'Tandav' for ridiculing Hindu deities. "The ministry has taken cognizance of the matter (complaints) and asked Amazon Prime Video to explain," a source in the ministry had said. Kotak, the MP from Mumbai North-East, said different organisations and individuals have complained that Hindu gods and goddesses have been ridiculed in the 'Tandav' web series. When contacted about the complaints, Amazon Prime Video PR had said the platform "won't be responding" on the matter. The government recently brought OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar, besides other online news and current affairs content, under the ambit of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, giving it powers to regulate policies and rules for the digital space.  But let’s come back to the <keyword id="1960832" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Saif-Sonakshi-starrer">Saif-Sonakshi starrer</keyword> and try to decode why the stickiness is missing. Based in a small town in <keyword id="6357713" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>, the movie is mostly about <keyword id="97981" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Gangsters">gangsters</keyword> and <keyword id="1960835" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Gun-fest">gun fest</keyword> while Sonakshi plays Saif’s love interest. The theme may not sound too original, but it hasn’t drawn too much flak either. In fact, film critic and analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about it quite enthusiastically: #BullettRaja movie review: Enjoyable, engaging and extremely distinctive. Not to be missed! But that was on November 27 and only a couple of days later, the reality hit hard. According to his column, this ‘Bullett’ has missed the mark! The movie got mixed reaction from other <keyword id="20998" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="critics">critics</keyword> and that seems to be reflecting in the box office. 
 If Saif fans are hoping for a <keyword id="46426" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Turnaround">turnaround</keyword> (à la Ram-Leela) in the coming weeks, they could be mightily disappointed. After all, Shahid Kapoor-starrer <keyword id="1960837" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="R-Raajkumar">R... Raajkumar</keyword> is coming up this Friday (December 6) and it has a similar theme – that of a small-time goon, caught up in a criminal life. Interestingly, Sonakshi is also the lead lady there and considering the fact that it is directed by <keyword id="21117" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Prabhu-Deva">Prabhu Deva</keyword>, Saif’s flick could be in for some tough competition. 
 
Finally, we can’t help asking the inevitable – is Saif losing his touch? Although <keyword id="5819" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="cocktail">Cocktail</keyword> ($920 million) and <keyword id="588009" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Race-2">Race-2</keyword> ($16 million) saw good response at the box office, other movies including <keyword id="146746" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Aarakshan">Aarakshan</keyword> (domestic net $6.5 million), <keyword id="79972" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="Agent-Vinod">Agent Vinod</keyword> ($8.4 million against an estimated budget of $9.2 million) and <keyword id="812183" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Go-Goa-Gone">Go Goa Gone</keyword> ($3.8 million) failed to take off. 
 
End note: <keyword id="9271" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Sunny-Deol">Sunny Deol</keyword>’s rustic action flick <keyword id="1481019" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Singh-Saab-The-Great">Singh Saab the Great</keyword> has grossed Rs 42.1 crore till December 2 while Imran-Kareena’s <keyword id="1636016" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="rom-com">rom-com</keyword> <keyword id="1538595" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Gori-Tere-Pyaar-Mein">Gori Tere Pyaar Mein</keyword> has collected only Rs 30.20 crore. It seems both Saif and <keyword id="2857" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bebo">Bebo</keyword> need some good luck and solid <keyword id="120143" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="crowd-support">crowd support</keyword> to sail through the coming weeks.
