The issuance would however be subject to the approval of regulatory or statutory authorities including the <keyword id="6354335" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india">Reserve Bank of India</keyword> and the shareholders of the company at the forthcoming Extraordinary General Meeting. Further, it said that as a result of the proposed issue, the board approved the increase in the authorised preference share capital from ₹250 crore to ₹500 crore and consequential changes to the Capital Clause of the Memorandum of Association of the company. For the purpose of giving effect to the above issuance of OCCRPS, the board has authorised a committee to decide on various matters related to issuance of such OCCRPS. Thomas Cook India plans to raise up to ₹450 crore via preferential issue

New Delhi, Nov 25 () Travel services firm Thomas Cook India on Monday said its corporate restructuring process has been completed after receiving approvals from the NCLT Mumbai and Bengaluru.
 "...the Composite Scheme of Arrangement and Amalgamation amongst TC Forex Services Ltd and Travel Corporation (India) Ltd and TC Travel Services Ltd and SOTC Travel Management Pvt Ltd and Thomas Cook (India) Ltd and Quess Corp Ltd and their respective shareholders has become effective today," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
 The appointed date, from which the scheme will take effect, is April 1 next year, it added.
 "Post approval of NCLT Mumbai and Bengaluru on Oct 10, 2019, and Nov 7, 2019, respectively, the board has announced the completion of the demerger of Human Resource Services Business of Thomas Cook (India) Ltd into Quess Corp Ltd on a going concern basis," said Thomas Cook (India) Chairman and Managing Director Madhavan Menon.
 With this restructuring now completed, "we are confident that the new simplified group structure will further enable both Thomas Cook India and Quess to grow independently and consolidate their positions in their segments with far greater clarity of focus from an industry and growth and opportunity point of view -- for investors, management and teams," he added.
 The board also took on record the amalgamation of residual Travel Corporation (India) Ltd, TC Travel Services Ltd and TC Forex Services Ltd with the company with effect from Monday, Thomas Cook India said.
 Shares of Thomas Cook India Ltd closed at Rs 153.10 per scrip on the BSE, up 1.69 per cent from its previous close. AKT HRS

New Delhi, Nov 26 () Travel services firm Thomas Cook India shares on Tuesday zoomed 11 per cent after the company said its corporate restructuring process has been completed after receiving approvals from the NCLT Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Shares of the company jumped 10.48 per cent to Rs 169.15 on the BSE.
At NSE, it advanced 11 per cent to Rs 170.

Thomas Cook shares zoom 11 pc after corporate restructuring

New Delhi, Nov 26 () Travel services firm Thomas Cook India gave up early gains and closed the day 1.5 per cent lower on Tuesday, mainly due to profit-booking.
 After surging 10.48 per cent to Rs 169.15 in intra-day trade on the BSE, the scrip pared all its morning gains and closed at Rs 151.95, down 0.75 per cent.
 At the NSE, it declined 1.56 per cent to close at Rs 150.70. During the day, it had gained 11 per cent to Rs 170.

Thomas Cook pares early gains; closes 1.5 pc lower

Thoman Cook, one of the India’s finest travel companies, under its expansion plan, has now acquired commercial space worth over Rs 130 crore at Lower Parel in Mumbai. Few company officials confirmed the deal to Economic Times on condition of anonymity. 
 The travel biggie bought the 72,000 sq ft office space spread over two floors at commercial complex <keyword id="866088" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="marathon-futurex">Marathon Futurex</keyword> last week. "The office space can accommodate total 700 employees and will be used for the expansion of <keyword id="87184" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Thomas-Cook">Thomas Cook</keyword> India's travel desk," informed the official. 
The 11th and 13th floor of the corporate tower will be occupied by Thomas Cook. 
 
The rates in Lower Parel area range from Rs 17,500 to Rs 20,000 per sq ft depending on the amenities provided in the commercial complexes, however, the company has inked the deal for around Rs 19,000 per sq ft. 
 
The financial daily had sent an email to Thomas Cook for confirming the news but got no response. Also, Mayur Shah, MD Marathon Group, the developer of Marathon Futurex, declined to comment on this news. 
 
Other businesses that have their offices in the commercial tower includes: Essel Group’s Zee Entertainment Enterprise, Tata Strategic Management, HDFC, India subsidiary of Parisbased global cosmetics major L'oreal and Consulate General of Israel.

Thomas Cook acquires Rs 130 crore business space in Mumbai.

Today is the last day for <keyword id="6358200" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jet-Airways">Jet Airways</keyword>’ ‘Million Sale’. 
 
The sale offered a million seats for a flat discount of 25% on economy travel across the airline’s domestic network. The offer was available from May 27 to 30, 2015 for travel between June 15, 2015 to October 15, 2015.

While Indian flyers are clamoring for more discounts, there have been speculations that Jet is going the Spicejet way with such flash sales. Many believe the industry’s seeing newer lows with full service airlines getting their hands dirty in the rat race for discounted fares. 
 
An important thing to note here is that Jet has been doing well for a while. The company posted a Rs. 63.1 Crore profit while SpiceJet reported a net loss of Rs. 275 Crore in Q3 FY15. The latter got back to winning ways only very recently.

It comes second only to <keyword id="6354706" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indigo">Indigo</keyword> which topped the charts with 33.9%. 
 
So what motivates well-off airlines to offer low prices? Let’s debunk a major airlines myth once and for all.

This year, it hopes to grow 3X faster than the rest of the players in the digital industry and become a ₹180 crore agency. “Achievement of these significant milestones has made 2019 a wonderful year for us so far. We have been beating the industry and will continue beating them in the growth perspective -- at least three times more than what the industry is growing.  Standing Out in the Clutter Shejale says the reason for this smooth-sailing is because the agency provides 360-degree digital solutions and is quick to latch on to new trends. “We are one of the early trend-catchers. When people were talking about programmatic, we immediately built a programmatic division and that’s why we picked up a lot of programmatic buyers in this country. Right now, digital is so much beyond media. It has four different skill sets and we have to weave them together to give an integrated solution to the customers. And there are very few agencies who can take an integrated approach properly,” says Shejale. Way Forward for Digital Media Shejale says high internet penetration, low price of data, and increased internet accessibility has helped the digital industry boom exponentially. Clients have also started realising the importance of digital media and its reach. Telling us the reason behind digital’s growth, Shejale says, “We stand at an important juncture where the rising adoption of digital platforms by consumers is encouraging brands to reach out to masses not only in Tier I cities but also in Tier II and Tier III through digital channels. The consumers expect personalization and their behaviour is changing a lot. This makes it important for brands to focus on digital. The digital medium also offers more flexibility on budget, accountability, and Returns on Investment, therefore, brands are trying innovative approaches including the latest ‘Social Commerce’. In 2020, we will witness the growth of digital industry at a very different pace owing to emerging trends backed by technology including Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Martech tools, data penetration, etc.”
