<keyword id="42747" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tata-Motors">Tata Motors</keyword>, the Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company, is hopeful of closing this financial year registering a 25% growth in the sales of commercial vehicle sales. Not only this, the Mumbai-based company also hopes to continue the run next year as well on replacement demand to meet new emission norms and a pick-up in the economy. 
 
In another development, the hybrid bus order that it has got from BMC is about to be theirs. "We have already signed an agreement with BMC and expect the final order for 25 hybrid buses any day now. This is the single-largest order for hybrid in the country till date," said Ravi Pisharody, Tata Motors Executive Director for the commercial vehicle business unit. 
 
Talking on the sales, he said, "Truck sales have overall reached the 2011-12 peak, and we have been leading the market. We hope to close this fiscal year with around 25 per cent spike in overall sales. The first two months of the current quarter have been very good, and March should be better." 
 
"We hope to continue the sales growth next fiscal year as well, which in percentage terms may be lower than this fiscal, considering the high base. Still, we expect to clock 10- 15 per cent jump in sales as BS-IV norms will kick in from April 2017. I expect the second half of the next fiscal year to be better than H1," he added. 
 
Last year in April and May, Tata Motors had excelled in the sales front. The starting of this year saw the domestic CV sales rising 20% (to 30,670 units) and exports rising 42% (to 5,636 units) in January and 22% (to 14,872 units) and 31% (to 5,142 units), in February, respectively.

Tata Motors hopeful to grow 25% by the end of this fiscal

New Delhi, May 15 () <keyword id="42747" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata-Motors">Tata Motors</keyword> on Friday said it is planning to raise Rs 1,000 crore through issuance of securities. The company is desirous of offering rated, listed, secured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) aggregating Rs 1,000 crore, <keyword id="8555" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata">Tata</keyword> Motors said in a regulatory filing. In this regard, the auto major will hold a meeting of its duly constituted committee of the board on May 20, 2020, it added. The above issuance is pursuant to the board's approval on March 27, Tata Motors said. Last week, Tata Motors had decided to withdraw an NCD issue to raise up to Rs 1,000 crore, due to tight market conditions. On May 5, the company said a board-constituted committee had approved raising up to Rs 1,000 crore through issuance of NCDs on a private placement basis. Then on May 7, it said in a regulatory filing :"We hereby inform that the company has decided to withdraw the issue for private placement of unsecured NCDs in view of the higher cost expectations from the market participants due to the tight money market conditions." The company continues to have sufficient liquidity and would consider issuance of NCDs at an appropriate time and under normalised market conditions with necessary approvals, it had noted. The company had planned to issue the NCDs in three tranches of Rs 500 crore, Rs 300 crore and Rs 200 crore with redemptions due on September 30, 2022, November 28, 2022 and December 29, 2022 ,respectively. <ul><li>Shares of <keyword id="42747" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="Orion">Tata Motors</keyword> gained on Tuesday even as the automaker’s losses widened in the September quarter.</li><li>Investors took note of the company's bullish comments that demand remains strong for JLR and India passenger vehicles.</li><li>Tata Motors reported a 14-fold widening of its loss to ₹4,416 crore in the September quarter as semiconductor shortage and inflation continue to impact its business.</li></ul>Even though Tata Motors reported a 14-fold widening in its net loss, which rose to ₹4,416 crore in the September quarter, investors took note of the company’s bullish comments on strong consumer demand. While announcing its earnings, the company said that demand remains strong for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and India passenger vehicle business while commercial vehicle demand improves gradually. However, semiconductor issues and commodity inflation continue to impact Tata Motors near term performance. “The performance is expected to improve gradually starting in H2 [second half of FY22] as both the supply chain and the pandemic situation improves,” said Tata Motors. It maintained a ‘buy’ rating on the stock. Another positive part for the loss maker was its revenue grew 15% year-on-year to ₹61,378 crore in July-September period. Tata Motors’ electric vehicle business posted nearly three-fold growth with highest monthly and quarterly sales of 1,078 units and 2,704 units, respectively. Wholesales, excluding those of Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV, were at 93,253 units in the first quarter, up 30% as compared to the year-ago period.
