Tamil Nadu state education board SSLC, has declared the results for 10th class today. 9 lakh 60 thousand students had taken the exam in March. 95.2% students have cleared the exam. The pass percentage among girls is 97% while pass percentage among boys is 93.3%. The pass percentage among girls has improved by 0.6% compared to the last year when 96.4% girls had cleared the exam. According to Ramadoss, if the Tamil Nadu government is firm on banning online gambling, then it need not wait till October/November when the Assembly will be in session. He said the online gambling will result in immeasurable damages to the society if the state government waits for another five/six months. The Tamil Nadu government should draft a law as suggested by the Madras High Court and promulgate it as an ordinance, Ramadoss said. The Madras High Court had struck down the law brought in by the erstwhile <keyword id="41902" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="aiadmk" source="Orion">AIADMK</keyword> government banning online gaming. The Times Now-VMR exit poll forecasts that the AIADMK and the BJP alliance in the state will get only 9 seats which is down from the 37 seats won by the AIADMK in 2014. The Lok Sabha elections 2019 is the first time the two major parties in the state of Tamil Nadu namely DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) and AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) go for Lok Sabha polls without their iconic leaders Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha. The AIADMK split into two after the demise of its heroic leader Jayalalithaa. In 2019, the party is contesting the Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the national party BJP, and other regional parties like PMK and DMDK. After a series of twists and turns in the history of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu after the death of Jayalalitha, K Palaniswami of the party was elected as the general secretary and hence became the CM. Each tower is outfitted with AI cameras capable of thermal and visible light imaging, comparable to those deployed by the Indian Army along the nation's borders. These cameras are programmed to detect elephants and humans near railway lines. When elephants are spotted within 100 feet of the tracks, alerts are swiftly relayed to forest and railway authorities, enabling them to mitigate risks by slowing down trains and guiding the animals away from harm's way. The project has been executed at a cost of ₹7.2 crore since its launch in February this year, Supriya Sahu, secretary of the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, told the BBC. But the AI-based surveillance system has proved its worth by demonstrating promising results, detecting nearly 400 instances of elephants approaching railway tracks and facilitating timely interventions to prevent potential accidents. This proactive approach marks a significant improvement over traditional methods, such as regular patrols by forest personnel, which often proved inadequate in ensuring elephant safety. Encouraged by the success of this initiative, Tamil Nadu plans to expand the AI-based system to five additional vulnerable areas across the state, including Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Hosur and Gudalur. This strategic expansion underscores the state's commitment to safeguarding wildlife and mitigating <keyword id="20694291" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="human-wildlife-conflicts" source="keywords">human-wildlife conflicts</keyword> through innovative technological solutions.
