<keyword id="19938730" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="TVS-Motor" source="keywords">TVS Motor</keyword> Company on Tuesday said its consolidated net profit increased 6 per cent to Rs 461 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, riding on the back of robust sales. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 434 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal. Total income rose to Rs 10,448 crore for the period under review as compared to Rs 9,142 crore in the year-ago period, TVS Motor Company said in a regulatory filing. On a standalone basis, the company posted a profit after tax of Rs 577 crore for the first quarter as compared to Rs 468 crore in the June quarter of the last fiscal, it added. Total income rose to Rs 8,412 crore for the first quarter as against Rs 7,275 crore in the year-ago period. The company said its overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales including exports grew 14 per cent year-on-year, registering sales of 10.87 lakh units in the quarter ended June 2024 as against 9.53 lakh units registered in the quarter ended June 2023. Motorcycle sales grew by 11 per cent year on year at 5.14 lakh units in the first quarter as against 4.63 lakh units in the same period last fiscal. Scooter sales grew by 19 per cent year-on-year to 4.18 lakh units in the April-June quarter this year. Three-wheeler sales for the quarter under review stood at 31,000 units as against 35,000 units in the year-ago period, TVS said. Electric scooter sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2024, stood at 52,000 units as compared to 39,000 units in the April-June quarter of last fiscal. TVS Motor Q1 profit rises 6% to ₹461 crore; total income at ₹10,448 crore

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 336 crore in the January-March period of the previous fiscal. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 10,042 crore in the period under review compared with Rs 8,031 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23. In the fourth quarter, the company said its overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, grew by 22 per cent to 10.63 lakh units compared to 8.68 lakh units in the same period of the 2022-23 fiscal. For the year ended on March 31, 2024, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,686 crore as against Rs 1,329 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 39,145 crore in FY24 over Rs 31,974 crore in the 2022-23 fiscal. The company said it recorded its highest-ever revenue and profit in FY24. <keyword id="46156" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="TVS-Motor" source="Orion">TVS Motor</keyword> also witnessed record sales of over 40 lakh units in a financial year. TVS Motor Company net profit rises 15% to ₹387 crore in March quarter

TVS Motor shares climb over 6% after March quarter earnings

<ul><li>Automotive manufacturer TVS Motor reported a net profit of ₹53.15 crore in June quarter against a loss of ₹139.07 crore during the same period last year.</li><li>The stock was among the top gainers on the Nifty Auto index.</li><li>Analysts believe Indian two-wheeler demand will pick up soon.</li></ul>Shares of TVS Motor rallied 5%, on July 30, as net profit made by the company in the June quarter against a loss last year surprised investors. The company reported a net profit of ₹53.15 crore against a net loss of ₹139.07 crore during June quarter last year. Operating revenue increased to ₹3,934 crore as against ₹ 1,432 crores last year. Moreover, the Chennai-based automotive manufacturer has recorded the highest ever quarterly revenue in international business. The company is expecting good international and domestic demand with gradual opening of markets. <div type="image" title="TVS motor" height="900" width="1200" msid="84885171" hostid="261"></div> Overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales including exports jumped to 6.58 lakh units from 2.67 lakh units last year. It recorded the highest two-wheeler exports this quarter at 2.90 lakh units. Global brokerage firm Jefferies <a href="https://www.cnbctv18.com/market/stocks/tvs-motor-company-share-price-rises-5-after-q1-results-should-you-buy-sell-or-hold-10178171.htm">reportedly </a>said that the company’s gross margin fell just 40 basis points quarter-on-quarter despite severe commodity cost pressures. “TVS Motor’s exports are holding up well and margins should expand sequentially,” said Jefferies report with a target price of ₹800 per share. At 12:45 p.m., the company stock was trading 5% higher at ₹588.80. Besides, analysts at Jefferies believe Indian two-wheeler demand should recover from an abnormal cyclical trough. TVS Motor jumps 5% as company reports profit after a loss-making quarter last year

The shares of HPCL ended 5% higher on Thursday. SpiceJet, IndiGo and other aviation-related stocks The stocks of SpiceJet, IndiGo and other aviation-related stocks will be in focus today. The Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced that the upper and lower limits on domestic airfares would remain in place for another three months post-November 24. The shares of SpiceJet ended 2% lower on Thursday. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) ONGC subsidiary Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) registered a net profit of ₹35.84 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, as against a loss of ₹574.45 crore in the corresponding period last year. The shares of MRPL ended 1% lower on Thursday. Zensar Technologies Zensar Technologies reported an 11.7% rise in net profit to ₹89.2 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The board of the company has also given in-principle approval for a merger of its wholly-owned subsidiary Cynosure Interface Services with the company. The merger aims at reducing administrative costs. The shares of Zensar Technologies ended 0.37% lower on Thursday. TVS Motor TVS Motor Company reported a 29.37% decline in consolidated net profit at ₹181.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The production and sales improved consistently from July onwards, but the commercial vehicle segment continued to hurt the company. The shares of TVS Motor ended over 1% lower on Thursday. Vodafone Idea Debt-ridden telecom firm Vodafone Idea reported narrowing of its consolidated loss to ₹7,218.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a loss of ₹50,897.9 crore in the same quarter last year. However, the total income declined by about 3% to ₹10,830.5 crore during the reported quarter. The company’s subscriber base also declined to 27.18 crore in Q2, from 27.98 crore earlier. The shares of Vodafone Idea ended 4% lower on Thursday. Angel Broking Kuwait Investment Authority has acquired half a percent stake in retail broking company Angel Broking via open market transactions on October 29 for ₹321.73 per share. The shares of Angel Broking ended 3% higher on Thursday. For the quarter ended March 31, 2017, TVS had registered a net profit of Rs 126.77 crore, a 6.80% decline when compared to Rs 136.03 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
