 The revised hostel fee for JNU students, after the partial rollback is at ₹3,600 per year and ₹1,800 for students belonging to below-poverty line sections. On the other hand, the annual hostel charges across IIT Delhi and Mumbai campuses range between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000. In the results of TeamIndus's Lab2Moon contest declared on March 15th, Vaidya's Mumbai-registered project was declared winner along with a project from Italy. The contest invited students from across the world to design and build an experiment that could be flown to the moon.

Vaidya, who now works in Pune, told TOI that the project was made with an aim to protect future human settlers on the moon from radiation.

Underlining that his government is working for the development of the country, Modi said, "If we do not maintain harmony, a sense of belonging, we will not be able to make progress. He said prosperity, wealth and creation of employment will have no meaning if there is no peace, unity and harmony.

"We have to nurture unity and strengthen the bridge of harmony," he added. 
 
The comments assume significance as these came against the backdrop of 'intolerance' debate that was triggered following the killing of a Muslim man in Dadri in Uttar Pradesh few months back over rumours that he had consumed beef.
