Mumbai, The late Sushant Singh Rajputs last film "Dil Bechara" will premiere on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar, on July 24. "Sushant was not just the hero of my debut film as a director, but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. We had been close right from 'Kai Po Che' to 'Dil Bechara'," said the film's <keyword id="9418679" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="director-mukesh-chhabra">director Mukesh Chhabra</keyword>. "Dil Bechara" is the official remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama "The Fault in our Stars", based on John Green's popular novel of the same name. Budding actress <keyword id="1324628" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sanjana-Sanghi">Sanjana Sanghi</keyword> stars opposite Sushant in the film. "He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamt together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be left alone to release this film. He always showered immense love on me while I was making it and his love will guide us as we release it," Chhabra added. The film will see Saif Ali Khan in a cameo. Composer AR Rahman and lyricist <keyword id="27642" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amitabh-Bhattacharya">Amitabh Bhattacharya</keyword> have collaborated to create music for the project. Sushant Singh Rajput's last film 'Dil Bechara' to release on Disney+ Hotstar

As a result of burgeoning pressure by agitating Amity students in the <keyword id="3577224" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sushant-Rohilla">Sushant Rohilla</keyword> suicide case for the past week, two teachers directly responsible for the third year law student taking his own life, have reportedly resigned from their positions. 
 BP Sehgal, (Director) and <keyword id="3582437" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="isheeta-rutabhasini">Isheeta Rutabhasini</keyword> who is permanent faculty member, had been sent on forced leave three days ago as hundreds of students gathered outside the Noida college campus to protest what they called deliberate harassment and torture by authorities on Rohilla for no fault of his. 
 
Here's how the case had unfolded so far: 
 
1) Rohilla was found hanging in his room at his residence in Sarojini Nagar on August 10. He was shattered after he learned that he would not be allowed to take his sixth semester exams due to low attendance. In his suicide note, he reportedly wrote he was a failure and did not wish to live. His mother, a teacher, walked in after coming back from school at 2.30pm to find Sushant hanging from the ceiling fan and a suicide note, which said he was sorry to have failed them and for not being a good brother and a son. 
 
2) His friends and family alleged Sushant had suffered a foot injury because of which he was unable to attend classes for at least two weeks. He had missed many classes before, they said, because he was busy representing college at various events and even organising event for the college for which he should have been given attendance. 
 3) Meanwhile, as the issue snowballed, <keyword id="558171" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amity-Law-School">Amity Law School</keyword> claimed in a statement that Sushant had 43 per cent attendance and this had been “conveyed to his parents many times through mail. Since the institute is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh IP University, the attendance, as per the rules of IP University, was sent to IP, which has the sole discretion to issue admit cards… for sitting in examinations.” It added, “Amity Law School itself had absolutely no role”. The authorities also alleged they did not hear back from Rohilla or his parents despite intimating the, repeatedly. 
 
4) Sushant’s family, however, maintained that no warning or notices were sent to them about his attendance. They said he informed the family about his detention and they got to know about it only when two representatives of IP University visited them on August 11 to pay condolences. They alleged the officials claimed he was irregular to college and was not good in studies. His uncle <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1275149145851178&amp;set=pcb.1275149189184507&amp;type=3">Dinesh Rohilla </a>and sister <a href="https://www.facebook.com/mehak.rohilla/posts/10157404119970093">Mehak Rohilla then shared an email </a>to counter university’s claims, which showed Rohilla wrote to the college requesting them to not debar him from semester examinations due to shortage of attendance. The same day his father <keyword id="123365" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jagdish-Kumar">Jagdish Kumar</keyword>, a joint secretary in Rajya Sabha, blamed college officials for his son’s suicide. “His act of suicide was provoked by some officials of the Institute over trivial but illegal arbitrary issues. No student should ever be tortured over attendance. I will get my son justice,” <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1268949276449930&amp;set=a.637407956270735.1073741827.100000046096283&amp;type=3&amp;theater">he wrote on Facebook</a>. 
 
5) Jagdish and Rohilla’s friends, contrary to the university’s claims that he was not a good student and was given grace marks, also posted his <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1271988246146033&amp;set=a.637407956270735.1073741827.100000046096283&amp;type=3&amp;theater">meritorious achievements </a>and the <a href="https://twitter.com/TChikker/status/766533537063284737">laurels he brought to Amity</a> which were never considered by the college. 
 
6) Meanwhile, Rohilla's suicide had already <a href="https://twitter.com/TChikker/status/766534455804571648">triggered protests</a> after August 10 outside the University and on social media. In no time, hashtag <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/599603496888840/">#JusticeForSushant</a> started trending. Students refused to attend any classes in the absence of disciplinary action against the culprits. They <a href="https://twitter.com/TChikker/status/766533537063284737">demanded resignation</a> of the two teachers - BP Sehgal and Isheeta Rutabhasini. 
 7) The two faculty members of the law school, who the students accuse of ignoring Rohilla's pleas, were then sent on forced leave soon after. <keyword id="6375590" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="amity-university">Amity University</keyword> claimed it had set up a six member commission for inquiry and both the accused could not return to office till the probe was over. 
 
8) The family members of Sushant Rohilla, meanwhile, lodged a police complaint on Wednesday demanding an investigation into abetment to suicide charges against the accused. 
 
9) Students, meanwhile, came out with a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1079595798797163&amp;set=pcb.1079596108797132&amp;type=3&amp;theater">16-page document titled ‘Bundle of Lies’ </a>to expose Universities ‘false statements’. The document page-by-page deals with all the claims of the University and why they are false and misleading. 
 
10) As protests intensified with alumni joining in, both teachers accused in the case, have now resigned. Agitating students today <a href="https://twitter.com/Chaitali_1810/status/766567956688039936">congratulated each other</a> on their win and warded off unwanted politicization attempt as <a href="https://twitter.com/Chaitali_1810/status/766525571505360896">ABVP workers tried to hijack their efforts </a>by joining the protest.

New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) The top trending topic in India over June was Sushant Singh Rajput and the interest for the late actor spiked sharply on June 14 to reach an all-time high in a national level, Google said on Thursday. According to the company, the other top trending search term overall for June was solar eclipse which spiked 4,550 per cent and Father's Day with the rise of 1,050 per cent. Sushant's suicide is still making headlines as people highlight nepotism charges against the Who's who of Bollywood. The actor committed suicide on June 14. The report also showed that coronavirus centric searches over the month have dropped 66 per cent from May, but volumes remain more than double that of February. The top trending coronavirus searches have been 'coronavirus news' which spiked 3,450, while searches for 'vaccine for coronavirus latest update' grew by 1,350 per cent. The virus has been most searched in Goa over the past month, followed by Delhi and Chandigarh, the report said. According to Google, 'Patanjali corona medicine,' 'Global vaccine summit' and 'Dexamethasone' were all breakout vaccine-related searches in June. "We have not found any suicide note at the spot. It seems to be suicide case. It is suspected that he hanged himself two days back. We have sent the body for an autopsy," Malad police station's senior inspector George Fernandes said. Sharma, who also worked in serials such as "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki", "Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke" and "Wo Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki", lived in a rented flat in Chincholi Bunder locality in Malad (West). His body was discovered by the building's watchman, who peeped through the kitchen window and saw him hanging. He then alerted members of the society who informed the police. Police rushed to the spot and took Sharma to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, another official said. Efforts were on to get in touch with the family of the actor, who had been living alone since February, he said. Based on primary information, an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered, Fernandes said, adding that further investigations are underway. On July 27, Sharma posted his last words on Instagram with a poem on death and dreams. "I built my pyre and slept on it and with my fire it was lit. And all that was me I burned in it. I killed my dream to wake up from it. Now my dream is gone," he wrote on his page. After that, he posted some photographs but no written content. His bio on Instagram reads "Actor. Writer. Poet" and mostly has shots of beaches and videos of him driving to scenic places. New Delhi, June 17 (IANS) Kanishka Chaudhry, a high-school student from Gujarat, never had an inkling like all of us that mental health would become such a raging debate after the suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The girl, however, is ready with an iOS app to help teenagers and adults overcome mental health issues. Apple has announced 350 winners of its annual WWDC Swift Student Challenge from 41 different countries and regions, including nearly 15 from India and she is among those next generation of coders and creators. Apps that can help people make more connections and improve people's mental health always motivated Kanishka to do something similar for humanity. "Imagine an app where people with mental health problems can express themselves without any limits and the best thing about that app is they don't have to share their real identity, like on traditional social media platforms," Kanishka told IANS. A student of GNFC Narmada Vidyalaya in Bharuch, Gujarat, she developed one such app called 'Ralasi Teen' during the lockdown period that would be available soon on Apple App Store. "People can share their stories and problems off limits and can have like-minded people to interact with," she said. When she won WWDC 2019 scholarship last year, it gave her some kind of positive hope that even not-so-famous apps can bring a change to a community. "That really encouraged me to do better and develop more apps and software. Apple really encourages students to make apps that bring a change. And that really encourages me to make apps for the community," said Kanishka. She made an Xcode playground about mental health awareness this year. The playground starts with some text slide show showing some real facts about mental health. Apple Xcode is an integrated development environment for macOS containing a suite of software development tools. The playground that she developed is divided into three parts and shows symptoms of different mental health problems with practical tips. Indore-based student Amit Sawant who is another winner of the Swift Student Challenge said Apple is motivating students like him to take part in programming through the challenge. "People are facing lots of mental health issues in this pandemic time like depression and I would love to contribute to develop an app that can help people maintain their mental health," Amit told IANS. He is creating a platform for sponsors, content creators, event organizers, and anyone who needs sponsorship after creating next-gen solutions to solve real-life problems. "This will ease the process for content creators and event organizers, without worrying about sponsorship and meeting the right set of people," he said. Another winner Hariharan Murugesan from Chennai started coding in 2014 when Swift was announced. He already has two apps on the App Store - Neural Vision for iOS and Inhale Air Quality Monitor for iOS and macOS. "Augmented Reality (AR) apps which tend to create a bridge between reality and computer-generated objects fascinates me. I believe that AR apps have big potential for almost all the fields, particularly education," said Hariharan. "With technologies like Apple's ARKit getting more and more advanced year by year, and entry level iPads getting really affordable, I think AR will revolutionise the way we explore things," he added. He is excited about new features on ARKit, Vision, SwiftUI and more.
