"Alone Together" follows two people (played by Holmes and costar Jim Sturgess) in failing relationships who end up at the same Airbnb during the coronavirus lockdown. </p><p>"She's very, very talented," Holmes gushed of the daughter she shares with ex <a href="https://www.insider.com/tom-cruise-career-from-scientology-to-mission-impossible-2022-5">Tom Cruise</a>. "She said she would do it and she recorded it." </p><p>"I let her do her thing. <p>When Suri tried to make her <span>way to an waiting vehicle on the streets of New York today, she was clearly upset by the photogs and autograph seekers in her way.</span></p>
<p>“We’re trying to get in the car… stop it!” Suri yells in one of the few times we have ever heard her voice, adding "<span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">Get out of the way!” </span></p>
<p>As Suri is getting into the vehicle, an off-camera voice can be heard yelling, “Bye, Suri, you little brat!”</p>
<p>A second man is heard reprimanding him for the dig at the young girl, at which point the original guy calls Cruise a “b----.”</p>

Paparazzi Curse At Young Suri Cruise In Disturbing Video

<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">The daughter of <keyword id="1538" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="tom-cruise">Tom Cruise</keyword> and <keyword id="1516" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Katie-Holmes">Katie Holmes</keyword> appears to have a luxury afforded by only the biggest megastars: a body double.</span></p>
<p>The controversy started when the New York Daily News <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/suri-cruise-body-double-spotted-tribeca-article-1.1273243">reported that paparazzi</a> were often thrown by the <keyword id="33237" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Suri-Cruise">Suri Cruise</keyword> doppelganger, who was seen as recently as last week. </p>
<p>"<span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">She had the same black leggings and Ugg-type tan boots with pink soles as Suri," the <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/suri-cruise-body-double-spotted-tribeca-article-1.1273243">Daily News wrote</a>. "</span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">And while she tried to hide her face, her auburn hair was long and brown like Suri’s....o</span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">nly she wasn’t Suri."</span></p>
<p>The real Suri arrived minutes later in another black SUV.</p>
<p>Katie Holmes denied the reports, calling them "ridiculous." </p>
<p>But we're not buying it, based on how similar the girls are in appearance and dress. </p>

At the time, <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/02/tom-cruise-katie-holmes-divorce-suri-scientology-sea-org/">some publications believed</a> that if Suri stayed with Cruise, she would be sent to the Sea Organization.</p><p>The Sea Org is a strict group within the Church of Scientology where members - including children - sign a contract to devote their lives to the church for the next billion years, according to "Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief" by Lawrence Wright. (The Church of Scientology disputes much of the book.) Cruise is a devout Scientologist, and Wright believes he's one of the most powerful people in the church.</p><p>Since the divorce, it seems that Holmes has been keeping her daughter far, far away from Cruise. The last time Cruise and Suri were photographed publicly together was in August 2012, <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20616870,00.html">when he took her to Walt Disney World</a>.</p><p>"Tom has no relationship with Suri," one source told Us Weekly.</p><p>Another source told the magazine that Holmes and Suri are "excommunicated" from Cruise's life. <a href="http://www.scientology.org/faq/scientology-attitudes-and-practices/what-is-disconnection.html">The Church of Scientology has a practice called "Disconnection,</a>" where members sever ties with individuals who are antagonistic towards the tenets of the church.</p><p>If Us Weekly is correct, this could be what Tom Cruise is doing to Holmes and Suri. <ul class="summary-list"><li><a href="https://www.avenues.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Avenues: The World School,</a> an elite <keyword id="6360739" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="private-school">private school</keyword> with campuses in <keyword id="72226" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="New-York-City">New York City</keyword>, Brazil, and China, is opening a location in <keyword id="7944076" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="The-Hamptons">the Hamptons</keyword>, the school confirmed to Business Insider.</li><li><a href="https://studio.avenues.org/">Avenues Studio Hamptons</a> will have a small physical hub for group work and events, but all classes will be taught online. </li><li>Annual <a href="https://studio.avenues.org/tuition/">tuition will be $48,000,</a> and each student gets a MacBook and an iPad.</li><li>Students at the school's original campus in Manhattan have reportedly included the children of hedge-fund managers and entrepreneurs, tech millionaires, and celebrities.</li></ul><p><a href="https://www.avenues.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Avenues: The World School,</a> an ultra-exclusive private school, is opening a location in the Hamptons, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/hamptons-ny-real-estate-guide-eat-shop-stay-party">the affluent vacation destination</a> for New York's elite.</p><p>The new location will be in addition to the school's existing campuses in New York City; Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Shenzhen, China.</p><p>Starting in August 2020, <a href="https://studio.avenues.org/">Avenues Studio Hamptons</a> will offer a "flex experience": it will have a physical hub in the Hamptons for events, meetings with mentors, and group project work, but all classes will be taught online and students can be based anywhere in the world.</p><p>The <a href="https://studio.avenues.org/tuition/">annual tuition will be $48,000</a> — about 15% less than tuition at the school's New York City location, where <a href="https://www.avenues.org/en/nyc/tuition-and-financial-aid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tuition is $56,400 per year.</a> </p><p>Throughout the pandemic, New Yorkers have been fleeing the city to the Hamptons, causing <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/upper-middle-class-priced-out-of-hamptons-rental-market-coronavirus-2020-5">skyrocketing demand for rentals.</a> Many of those families are looking to stay long-term and <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/new-yorkers-who-fled-to-hamptons-amid-coronavirus-look-at-enrolling-11589972255">enroll their children in schools in the Hamptons</a>, where there's room to play outside safely and they won't have to take a crowded subway to school, as Leslie Brody reported for The Wall Street Journal.</p><p><div type="image" title="southampton hamptons coronavirus" height="1669" width="2226" msid="76078549" hostid="261"></div></p><p>Tara Powers, <keyword id="382627" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="avenues">Avenues</keyword>' global director of communications, told Business Insider that "a growing number of parents and students want options and flexibility when it comes to schooling, which is what prompted the creation of our Studio model as these plans were being developed prior to the pandemic."</p><h2>An ultra-exclusive school for the children of the elite</h2><p>Students at Avenues' original location in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood are the children of hedge-fund managers and entrepreneurs, tech millionaires, and celebrities. David Buckwald, the school's admissions director, told Business Insider last year that while the school doesn't publicize its admissions rate, it receives many more applications than it can accept.</p><p>Those who manage to get in are given MacBooks and iPads, take yoga and dance classes, and graduate fluent in either Mandarin or Spanish.</p><p>The New York campus was the first to open in 2012, but <a href="https://www.avenues.org/en/nyc/the-world-school/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Avenues plans to build campuses in at least 20 cities</a> in the next decade, including Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Miami, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Singapore — and now, the Hamptons.</p><h2>Avenues Studio Hamptons: 'small by design' and full of NYC kids</h2><p>While the exact location of Avenues Studio Hamptons' physical hub is yet to be determined, the school has already gotten more than 100 inquiries from interested families, according to Powers.</p><p>About 90% of interest has come from families based in New York City who have a second home in the Hamptons or a neighboring township such as Watermill, she said. The other 10% has been from families who live full-time in the Hamptons, mainly from Sag Harbor.</p><p>The school is searching for a space with at least 3,500 square feet, Powers told Business Insider. The studio will be "small by design," only serving a maximum of 150 students at a time, per the website.</p><p>The school has not yet announced any coronavirus-related safety measures it will be taking when it opens in August, but Powers said the school's health and safety standards "will always meet or exceed external requirements" and that the school will look to practices put in place by schools reopening around the world.</p><p><div type="image" title="Thuringia school reopening April 2020" height="683" width="911" msid="76078566" hostid="261"></div></p><p>Some countries that have <a href="https://www.insider.com/how-china-denmark-japan-reopening-schools-2020-4">started reopening schools</a>, including Israel, Japan, Denmark, and China, have implemented precautionary measures like mandatory temperature checks, holding classes outside, and spacing desks and tables apart. </p><p>At Avenues Studio Hamptons, a student's typical Monday-through-Thursday schedule will comprise two hours per day in online classes, two to four hours per day on course work, and one hour on community-centered learning, per the school's <a href="https://studio.avenues.org/">website</a>. Fridays will be dedicated to individual courses of study.</p><p>Powers told Business Insider that Avenues expects this flex experience to become the norm throughout the pandemic.</p><p>However, Avenues does not plan to permanently turn its full-scale campuses into flex models, but will operate multiple models at its locations around the globe, she added.</p><h2>A completely virtual application process</h2><p>At Avenues' Manhattan location, where students range from nursery level to 12th grade, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-get-into-avenues-school-new-york-city-admissions-director-2019-4">the admissions process</a> involves supervised playgroups for younger children to see how well they follow directions and make transitions, and collaborative design challenges for middle-school aged kids. For high school students, there's a standardized test followed by a 20-30 minute in-person interview.</p><p>At Avenues Studio Hamptons, the entire process is virtual, and students entering grades five through 11 anywhere in the world are eligible to apply.</p><p>The application process has three steps. First, the student fills out an online application and creates a video of themselves completing a challenge given by the school. Next, the student will receive feedback from the school with the option of recreating the video if it doesn't meet requirements. The final step is a one-hour video interview. </p><p>Avenues Studio Hamptons' $48,000 tuition includes a MacBook Air, iPad, and Pencil, as well as all materials, books, software, and service subscriptions for each student. </p><p>The school is offering <a href="https://studio.avenues.org/tuition/">discounted tuition for families that make less than $320,000</a> and owns assets valued at less than $1 million. David Buckwald, the school's admissions director, said that while Avenues doesn't publicize its admissions rate, the school receives many more applications than it can accept.</span></p><p><span>So what exactly does it take to get accepted at this ultra-exclusive school?</span><span></span></p><p>Buckwald told Business Insider that although Avenues looks at various qualities in a candidate, there's one key quality that can help a student stand out.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/5cb48d7caefeef111a523615-1843/davebuckwald 1.jpg" border="0" alt="David Buckwald Avenues" data-mce-source="Avenues" /><p class="source"><span>Avenues</span></p><p class="caption">David Buckwald is the admissions director at Avenues.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>"I think a student's curiosity is the key differentiator in our application review," Buckwald said.</p><p>Each prospective student must submit <a href="https://www.avenues.org/en/nyc/avenues-new-york-admissions-application/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an online application</a> with a $100 fee, and the rest of the admissions process at Avenues varies by grade level.</p><h2>For younger children, Avenues conducts supervised playgroups to assess early literacy and math skills and social behavior.</h2><p>In the Early Learning Center (nursery, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten) and first grade, children are evaluated through supervised playgroups.</p><p>"With kindergarten and grade one, you are starting to assess a little bit of early literacy, early math skills," Buckwald said, adding that they try to create an environment that's as relaxed as possible for both the student and the parents. </p><p>"And then within the playgroups, we're seeing how students, for one, play with the different activities set up in the room," he said. "How do they play supervised, unsupervised? How do they play with other students?"</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/5cb8ef4f207d462c8f3ccbd2-2400/img1144.jpg" border="0" alt="avenues nyc" data-mce-source="Katie Warren/Business Insider" /><p class="source"><span>Katie Warren/Business Insider</span></p><p class="caption">Nursery through first grade applicants are evaluated in small playgroups.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">The admissions team also pays attention to how a child follows directions from a teacher and how well they make transitions.</span></p><h2><span style="color: #000000;">In grades two through four, students must demonstrate grade-level proficiency in either Spanish or Mandarin.</span></h2><p><span style="color: #000000;">Because children in these grades take half their classes in a foreign language, foreign language skills are crucial.</span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">Children at this level will be assessed one-on-one in English and also in either Spanish or Chinese.</span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">Starting in second grade, all applicants will take a standardized test: <a href="https://www.erblearn.org/services/isee-overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the </a></span><span style="color: #000000;"><a href="https://www.erblearn.org/services/isee-overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ISEE </a> (Independent School Entrance Exam). For grades two through four, the test version is the ISEE Primary.</span></p><h2><span style="color: #000000;">In the middle grades, students perform "design challenges."</span></h2><p>For grades five through eight, Avenues does things a little differently. The school used to conduct student conversations with applicants at this age but has now moved towards what Buckwald calls "design challenges."</p><p>Students are paired with another applicant at the same level and given a challenge to build an object - usually an object for their partner - in about 60 minutes.</p><p>"So first, they're going to interview their partner on what kind of thing they want," Buckwald said. "So let's say it's a backpack or a purse or a wallet, or they're building a skyscraper. What would you want yours to look like? They're sort of taking in the cues of their partner."</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/5cb8ee59ac92a126157d7442-2400/img1137.jpg" border="0" alt="avenues nyc" data-mce-source="Katie Warren/Business Insider" /><p class="source"><span>Katie Warren/Business Insider</span></p><p class="caption">Approximately 1,650 students attend Avenues.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>This helps assessors evaluate signs of empathy - "Are they listening to the needs of their partner?" - which Buckwald says is Avenues' number one learning outcome for students when they graduate.</p><p>They're also looking for creativity, resourcefulness, collaboration, and a willingness to ask questions if the applicant gets stuck.</p><p>"So the outcome sometimes is this wonderful new object that they've created for their partner, and sometimes it's not," Buckwald said. "But it's that they went through the process, right? The iterative design process. We learn a lot about the student and if they may be a good fit here."</p><p>Grades five through 12 take either the ISEE or the <a href="https://ssat.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SSAT</a>. Avenues notes that there's <a href="https://www.avenues.org/en/nyc/faqs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no minimum test score</a> to be accepted and that students are evaluated based on a range of criteria.</p><h2>For high school students, the process includes a 20-3o minute student conversation to get a sense of a student's passions, strengths, and challenges.</h2><p>For high school candidates, part of the evaluation process at Avenues is a student conversation that lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.</p><p>The interviewer will speak first to the student alone, and then to the student's parents without the student in the room.</p><p>"If the parents were in the room, as you can imagine, it might be a different conversation with the student," Buckwald said. The interviewer will also talk with the student about diversity and try to get the student to discern why diverse perspectives and a range of opinions around them is a good thing, Buckwald said.</p><h2><span>Parents are asked to submit a 'parent statement' as part of the application.</span></h2><p><span>For all levels, parents can submit their own written statement as part of the application.</span></p><p><span>"At Avenues, we consider <a href="https://www.avenues.org/en/nyc/submit-1-4/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">parents as partners in the education of our students</a>," Avenues' website reads.
