The last time we saw Sunny Leone on the silver screen was when she appeared in a double role in the failed sex comedy Mastizaade, after two not so successful movies Ek Paheli Leela and Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. However, looks like a failure is not going to stop the actress from marching ahead in the world of <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword>. 
 Her latest assignment has come from none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood, <keyword id="1671" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shah-Rukh-Khan">Shah Rukh Khan</keyword>, who reportedly wants Sunny to do an item number in his upcoming movie <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Raees-teaser-How-Shah-Rukh-Khan-loves-to-tease-his-fans/articleshow/48109350.cms">Raees</a>. 
 Directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-starring Pakistani actress <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword>, Raees is loosely based on the life of Gujarati illicit liquor business tycoon Abdul Latif, and is slated to release <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Salman-Khan-avoids-Box-office-clash-with-good-friend-Shah-Rukh-Khan/articleshow/48265347.cms">around Diwali this year</a>.

The movie has been produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, who wanted it to have a sizzling number, for which they have decided to sign Sunny Leone, owing to her popularity amongst Indian men and her sensual dance moves. 
 
After Aamir Khan saying that he <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Aamir-Khan-says-Yes-to-working-with-Sunny-Leone-after-infamous-interview/articleshow/50653084.cms">would be happy to work with Sunny</a> one day and SRK actually going ahead and approaching her for a song in his movie, we can safely say that Mrs Karenjit Kaur Vohra, whom the world knows as Sunny Leone, has finally arrived in the big picture of Bollywood.

Is Bollywood finally accepting Sunny Leone?

We saw the teaser of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/The-10-most-anticipated-Bollywood-movies-you-should-watch-out-for/articleshow/54976981.cms">Raees</a> almost a year ago and it left us wanting for more. Seeing <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=srk&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Shah Rukh Khan</a> play a ruthless gangster (and his age) and look menacing instead of dolling out his usual romantic fare was a refreshing change to say the least. 
 
And, now after months and months of waiting, we finally have the teaser and the release date of the film inching close. 
 <keyword id="6361860" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Raees">Raees</keyword> stars <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=nawazuddin+siddiqui&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Nawazuddin Siddiqui </a>and newcomer <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword> and if the trailer is anything to go by, it's safe to assume that the film is going to be laden with masala. 
 Set in the 1980s, the film is based on the life of Gujarati gangster, Abdul Latif Shaikh. <keyword id="1379" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="king-khan">King Khan</keyword> plays Raees aka Miyaan bhai, a bootlegger in the film. Siddiqui plays a police officer who has taken it upon himself to imprison Raees and bring him to justice. Think, smashing chases between two of the finest actors in <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword>. Are you excited? Because you definitely should be. 
 
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan plays Khan's love-interest. Oh, and before we forget, the film also has an item song by none other than <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/These-are-the-10-most-searched-Indian-actresses-in-2016/articleshow/55807812.cms">Sunny Leone</a>, who also makes an appearance in the trailer. 
 
Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia and is set to hit theatres on January 25. (Can the day come any faster?) 
 
P.S- It's going to be insanely difficult to get the revamped version of Laila O Laila that is playing in the background out of your head. You've been warned.
