 A <keyword id="92714" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="draft-constitution">draft Constitution</keyword> was initially prepared by the <keyword id="2027910" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Constitution-Drafting-Committee">Constitution Drafting Committee</keyword>, led by Dr <keyword id="116616" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="BR-Ambedkar">BR Ambedkar</keyword>. Other key members of that panel included <keyword id="869379" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Acharya-Kriplani">Acharya Kriplani</keyword>, Pandit <keyword id="6360386" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jawaharlal-Nehru">Jawaharlal Nehru</keyword>, Pandit <keyword id="249180" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Govind-Ballabh-Pant">Govind Ballabh Pant</keyword>, <keyword id="5780" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Maulana-Azad">Maulana Azad</keyword>, <keyword id="24098" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="sardar-patel">Sardar Patel</keyword> and Dr <keyword id="6354764" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rajendra-Prasad">Rajendra Prasad</keyword>. The first version was submitted to the <keyword id="99585" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Constituent-Assembly">Constituent Assembly</keyword> on November 4, 1947. But it took nearly three years of extensive debate, deliberations and moderations before the final document could be freezed. The Constitution was passed in the Constituent Assembly on 26 November, 1949, and was adopted on 26 January, 1950, commemorating the day in 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was made by the <keyword id="190679" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Indian-National-Congress">Indian National Congress</keyword>. 
 But so much for history. Fast forward to 2014 and take a look at the key <keyword id="6421547" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="amendments">amendments</keyword> made to the <keyword id="99432" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="indian-constitution">Indian Constitution</keyword> and how it impacted the country. Till date, a total of 120 amendment proposals came up although quite a few were abandoned due to various reasons. Oppo to set up its first 5G innovation lab in Hyderabad

In January this year, Jagan Mohan had announced that Visakhapatnam is going to be the capital with no mention of it in any state assembly discussion or on any official documents. Covaxin vaccine update: Bharat Biotech brings on board 13,000 volunteers for Phase III trials across multiple sites in India

Hyderabad, <keyword id="68884" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Telangana">Telangana</keyword> <keyword id="6383321" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="chief-secretary">Chief Secretary</keyword> <keyword id="1953038" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Somesh-Kumar">Somesh Kumar</keyword> on Tuesday directed the <keyword id="6640892" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="district-collectors">district collectors</keyword> to complete the <keyword id="30372" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="promotions">promotions</keyword> in respect of all cadres working in the districts by January 31 and to take up compassionate appointments without any delay. During a video conference with collectors, the chief secretary informed them that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has given directions to complete the promotions on priority basis. Kumar directed the collectors to conduct a meeting at district level with all the departments to arrive at number of vacancies to be filled up through promotions. He asked to conduct a meeting on every Monday and complete the process of promotions and compassionate appointments by January 24. The video conference was held a day after the state government issued an order to expedite the process of carrying out promotions to all categories of posts in all departments at all levels. The chief secretary issued orders to the special chief <keyword id="6403021" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="secretaries">secretaries</keyword>, <keyword id="1267078" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="principal-secretaries">principal secretaries</keyword>, secretaries, other heads of departments and district collectors to immediately initiate the process and complete it by January 31, as per recent directions of the Chief Minister. The heads of all the departments were instructed to take up promotions in all aspects duly completing the departmental promotion committees (DPCs) procedures by January 31 and submit category-wise status report to the chief secretary in this regard. Proposals pertaining to promotions of third level gazetted officers and above ranks, should be submitted by the Secretaries concerned duly compiling information from their HoD offices to General Administration Department (Services) for convening of DPC by January 11. TDP head Chandrababu Naidu submitted his resignation to the governor. However, it is also to be noted that TDP has a 39% vote share while YSRC has 50% share of the state’s votes. Reddy’s legwork Jagan Reddy has walked in late father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s foothpath, literally. The senior Reddy of Congress party ended nine years of Naidu rule and extensive popularity in 2004, with a padyatra or a walking tour where he walked across every second village in the state. Jagan too had followed up with his father’s winning plan, with a <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/andhra-pradesh-news/jaganmohan-reddy-to-conclude-429-day-padyatra-in-andhra-pradesh-today-1974775" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">429-day padyatra</a> or a match-on-foot and has reportedly met 20 million of his voters along the way—something which helped him win the mandate with a thumping majority. The issues he took up with them were also high on voters’ minds. One question that Reddy repeatedly reiterated as to why Chandrababu Naidu the head of TDP was unable to get the state a special status in spite of his ‘closeness’ to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a result of the intense crackdown on black money, Reddy was arrested in 2012 and spent around 16 months in jail. He was released on bail, and the case is still ongoing. A new party Last elections in 2014, YSR Congress was routed by the TDP-BJP combine. However, very few political pundits wrote off Jagan, especially after his thumping win at Kadapa by-elections in 2011 which shows that he had popular support. He had then won by a margin of five-and-a-half votes over his nearest Congress rival. Cracks between Rajesekhar Reddy’s heir apparent Jagan and party leader Sonia Gandhi emerged after she asked him to call off a ‘condolence tour’ that he went on, after his father’s death. The tour came at a time when tensions were ride on the Telangana state division issue. However, Jagan went ahead while defying the new Congress chief minister in power K Rosaiah, and resigned as the party MP in 2010. Soon after, Jagan took over the reins of the YSR Congress party formed by a fan of his father, and finally led it to its success. One of Y S R Reddy’s poll promises were free electricity and a health insurance programme and reinvigorated a provide rice for Rs 2 per kilo. While his predecessor Naidu concentrated on development, Reddy had successfully countered it with social welfare schemes, winning him two mandates in 2004 and 2009. With populist schemes, YSR soon turned a regional strongman with his stature elevated to that of a messiah --- which only swelled after his accidental death in 2009.
